ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: A REVELATION OF GOD'S GLORY, Part 2<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

 <\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

One thing that is a certainty in God's economy is the fact that\n if you hear a genuine Word from the Lord in one part of the country -- or the\n world -- you are going to hear that same Word somewhere else.  It has been\n fascinating to me to see others in the prophetic community who are sharing\n nearly the identical Word that God has given to me; and that's something that\n lends tremendous confidence to the fact that we are hearing and sharing exactly\n what Holy Spirit wants His people to hear.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When Jesus began His ministry, he faithfully shared that what He\nspoke was what Father was saying.  What He did in the way of miracles,\nsigns and wonders, He did what He saw Father do.  I'll get into this more\nas we progress in this series, but one thing that is very clear is that the\nGlory of the Lord will NEVER be released to, nor allowed to be revealed in\nfolks who put limits on their responses to the dealings and drawing of Holy\nSpirit.  Let me give you a couple of quick examples.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The body of Christ has been plagued with what we refer to as\n"Cessationism<\/span>."  That is a description\nfor doctrines which do away with the gifts and miracles of Holy Spirit. \nIt relegates them to the life spans of the original apostles and prophets of\nthe first and early second century, declaring that they died out with the death\nof those early leaders.  Correspondingly, those who espouse cessationism<\/span> believe that one is automatically filled with\nthe Spirit when they are saved, and that there is no need for anyone to speak\nin tongues in this day and age.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The problem with those doctrines is that there isn't one shred\nof evidence in the Word to support them.  At the same time, they miss\ncompletely the fact that what we refer to generally as "the baptism of the\nHoly Spirit" is a door-opener into a realm of the Spirit that cannot be\naccessed any other way.  Those who espouse the idea of these things\nvanishing for this modern era do so because they themselves have never walked\nin this realm and have no idea what they are talking about.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We absolutely CANNOT place these kinds of limits on the\noperation of Holy Spirit if we expect to work the works that Jesus worked --\nnever mind the greater works that Jesus promised -- or even begin to see the\nGlory of the Lord revealed in the earth through the Bride of Christ!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That said, let's move on where we left off last week.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nI said last week, there are literally dozens of names given to the Lord to\ndescribe His various attributes, and I won\u2019t take the time here to try to cover\nall those names; but let\u2019s take a look at just those four letters that make up\nwhat we generally refer to as \u201cthe tetragrammaton<\/span>\u201d \u2014\nfour Hebrew letters that are words all by themselves with distinct meaning and\ncharacter.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Yod<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span><\/i>:<\/span> this\nis the smallest of the Hebrew letters, considered the \u201catom\u201d of all consonants\n\u2014 the form from which all letters begin and end.  Jewish scribes\ntreat <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/span> as a divine\npoint of energy  Since <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/span> is used to form all other\nletters, and since (according to Jewish Rabbis) God uses these letters as the\nbuilding blocks of creation, <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/span> indicates and depicts God\u2019s\nomnipresence.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nfact, the letter\/word, <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/span>,\ndepicts the geometry of creation.  It begins with the <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/span> itself as a\ndot, and then moves downward from the divine to the created to form <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/span>, which is the hook\nof creation.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Yod<\/span><\/span> literally means\n\u201carm\u201d or \u201chand\u201d, and in its form suggests a hand reaching toward heaven. \nIt forms something resembling a cupped hand, and is representative of care,\nprovision, mercy and tenderness.  I don\u2019t want to get into the weeds\ntrying to deal with everything that <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/span> represents, so the last element\nof this letter\/word that we will discuss its numerical value, which is 20 \u2014 a\nnumber which is revealed in the word, <\/span>chazah<\/span><\/i><\/span>,<\/span> and represents\nvision \u2014 the capacity to see far into the future.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hey<\/span><\/i>:<\/span> the Talmud states that God used\nthe letter, <\/span>Hey<\/span>, to create the\npresent world, and Yod<\/span> to create the world to\ncome.  Thus, <\/span>Hey<\/span> is the breath\nof creation.  The meaning of <\/span>Hey<\/span> is,\n\u201clook\u201d or \u201cbehold\u201d!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hey<\/span> has always\nrepresented the divine breath of God, with revelation and light (and we see\n\u201clight\u201d mentioned five times in the Creation narrative.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm\n33:6 tells us that: <\/span>By the Word of the Lord were the Heavens made; and all the host\nof them by the breath of His mouth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nTalmud states that <\/span>\u201cthe breath of His mouth\u201d<\/span> <\/span><\/b>refers to the sound\nof the letter, <\/span>Hey<\/span> \u2014 the\nout-breathing of His Spirit.  Uniquely, in Genesis 2:4, the <\/span>Hey<\/span> takes a smaller form than in the\nrest of the words denoting the \u201cSon of God\u201d and indicating that the Son was the\nactual breath and sound of Creation.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hey<\/span> has a prophetic\nconnotation to it.  Whenever we see God changing names \u2014 such as changing\nAbram to Abraham, or Sarai<\/span> to Sarah \u2014  He\ninserts the <\/span>Hey<\/span> into their\nnames as prophetic of what He is changing their character, nature and makeup to\nbe.  Abraham and Sarah were changed from impotent, aging individuals into\nyouthful, virile, life-giving people capable of producing a son of Covenant.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nwe see God breathing life into Adam, and Adam becomes a living, speaking\nspirit, the <\/span>Ruach<\/span><\/i><\/span> breathed into him.  Thus, <\/span>Ruach<\/span><\/i><\/span> begins with the\nletter, <\/span>Resh<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>\u2014 which is representative of outward\nforce \u2014 and ends with Hey \u2014 breath.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

An\ninteresting side note is that where the letter, <\/span>Hey<\/span>, has a dot (or Mappiq<\/span>)\ninserted into it, that wind, or breath, carries a sound with it.  Thus\nwhen God spoke, His breath carried that prophetic sound which created the\nheavens and the earth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Finally,\nwe come to the letter, <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/i><\/span>.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Vav<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/i> this letter looks somewhat like a\ntent peg, and has the meaning of \u201chook.\u201d  <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/span> is the divine connector between\nHeaven and Earth and represents the binding between the realm of the Kingdom of\nGod \u2014 that which is spiritual \u2014 and the earth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nwe are told that God said, <\/span>\u201cLet us make man in our\n image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion\u2026. etc.\u201d<\/span> <\/span>we see this in the\nletter, <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/span>,\nsince this letter has the numerical value of six (6) and also resembles the\nform of man.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nway this letter is used throughout the Old Testament is rather\nextraordinary.  In Numbers 25:12, God makes a statement concerning Phinehas<\/span>, the grandson of Aaron, in which He says, <\/span>\u201cBehold I am giving him my covenant of peace.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nthis instance, the word, <\/span>shalom<\/span><\/i>,<\/span> (for peace) has\na broken letter, <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/span>,\nindicating the brokenness of man after the fall.  Not until we see the\nbirth of Perez (from the union of Tamar and Judah) do we see the <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/span> re-joined\ntogether.  The <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/span>,\ntherefore, becomes the symbol of Covenant.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Perez\nwas the great-great (five generations) grandfather of Salmon, who married Rahab<\/span>, whose son, Boaz, married Ruth, who gave birth to Obed<\/span>, the grandfather of David.  The lineage of Perez,\nwas representative of the restoration of the coming Covenant between mankind\nand the Lord Jesus Christ \u2014 that Covenant that would repair the breach between\nmankind and God, caused by the sin of Adam.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nrestored <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/span>,\ntherefore, is the connector between God and man, and is representative of God\nand man in union.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nremind you of Jesus\u2019 prayer in John 17 in which He prays:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

John\n17:21-23<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in\nthee, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou\nhast sent me.  And the          \n       Glory that thou gavest<\/span>\nme, I have given them; that they may be one even as we are one:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one;\nand that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as\nthou hast loved me.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus, <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/span> is that part of\nthe nature and makeup of God that makes His personality, His authority and\npower accessible to us, in us, and through us, through the New Covenant with\nJesus Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nletter, <\/span>Hey<\/span><\/i>,<\/span> repeats as the fourth letter of\nthe name of God, giving us <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/i><\/span> Hey Vav<\/span> Hey<\/span><\/i>.<\/span>  The secondary application\nof <\/span>Hey<\/span> in the name\ngives us the picture of transcendence \u2014 authority and power \u2014 absolute\ndominion!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\ngives us a picture of Holy Spirit and is indicative of why it became necessary\nfor the believers on the Day of Pentecost to be filled with Him \u2014 for the\nbreath of God to be given voice in them in the form and sound of the tongues of\nmen and of angels \u2014 languages not previously learned, along with the\naccompanying evidence in signs and wonders and miracles to follow.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nan aside to the above, I know that there are folks who believe that it isn\u2019t\nnecessary for them to speak in tongues in order to be baptized in the Holy\nSpirit, but what they don\u2019t realize is that the resistance to speaking in\ntongues is tantamount to a resistance to the breath of God breathing out of\nthem with life-giving authority and power.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nthey also miss by their resistance to allowing their voice to become an\nextension of the breath and voice of God, is that they also cut themselves off\nfrom the Glory of the Lord being revealed in and through them.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nwe can\u2019t allow our voices to be used by Holy Spirit and to be under His control\nas we speak things in languages we have no knowledge or control of, then we\nbreak the <\/span>Vav<\/span><\/span> in\nthe name of God and reject the Covenant of Hey.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s\nwrap up this discussion on the <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/span> Hey Vav<\/span> Hey<\/span> <\/span><\/i><\/b>by noting that the\nlast part of God\u2019s \u201cname\u201d is <\/span>Hey Vav<\/span> Hey<\/span> \u2014\npronounced, <\/span>\u201chayah<\/span>\u201d<\/span> in the Hebrew.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nis a literal picture of the Aleph\u2014Tav<\/span>, the Alpha and\nOmega, the Beginning and the End.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hayah<\/span><\/span> is one of those\nextraordinary picture words which begins with: \u201cto come into being.\u201d  It\nis followed with, \u201cto be established,\u201d then \u201cto remain,\u201d \u201cto continue to\nexist.\u201d  That is followed with, \u201cto accompany,\u201d or \u201cto be with.\u201d  It\nwraps up with \u201cto come to pass,\u201d \u201cto be done,\u201d \u201cto finish\u201d or come to\ncompletion.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Remember\nwhat Paul wrote to the Philippians?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Philippians\n1:6<\/span><\/u><\/b>:  <\/span>Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a\ngood work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

THAT\u2019s\nthe picture of <\/span>\u201chayah<\/span>!\u201d<\/span>  God never\nbegins something that He doesn\u2019t bring to the finish.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nthat brings up an interesting element of the Hebrew language and Hebrew\nthought, versus the Greek language and Greek thought.  Hebrew thought AND\nthe Hebrew language are circular.  There is a beginning to something, but\nit always come back around to the completion and fulfillment of what began.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Greek\nthought, on the other hand, is linear.  All of our Western thinking and\nreasoning is based in linear Greek.  We have our reasoning and\nrationalization in Greek thought, and while the New Testament was written in\nGreek with frequent use of Greek similes and metaphors, it is entirely based in\nHebrew thought.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Western\nimages and concepts of Glory just don\u2019t get it.  Consider the struggle\nthat most Christians have today with something that Paul wrote concerning\nJesus.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Philippians\n2:5-11<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you\nwhich was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]  Who,\nalthough essentially being One with God and in the form of God [possessing the\nfullness and attributes which make God God<\/span>], did not\nthink this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, But\nstripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the\nguise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human\nbeing.<\/span>\n<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled\nHimself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even\nthe death of the Cross!  Therefore, [because He stooped so low] God has\nhighly exalted Him and given Him that Name (onoma<\/span>)\nwhich is above every name, That in and at the name of Jesus every knee should\n(and must) bow, in Heaven and on Earth, and under the Earth, and every tongue\n[frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ IS Lord, to the\nGlory of God the Father.  <\/span>(Amplified Version)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\u2019m\ncutting this discussion short because of where we need to go next, but we wrap\nup with the fact that the promise of Glory comes both in the confession that\nJesus Christ IS Lord of Lords and King of Kings \u2014 AND the literal fact of being\nIN Christ, and He being IN us.  Without those factors in place, we have no\npromise of Glory!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
