ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: A REVELATION OF GOD'S GLORY, Part 1<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

A few months ago, Bruce Allen asked if I would pray about\nsharing in a prophetic conference to be held in Spokane.  When I asked him\nwhat the anticipated theme of the conference was going to be, he told me that\nwhat was in his spirit was to share on the Glory of the Lord -- more\nspecifically, the Shekinah<\/span> Glory.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Have to admit, that's not a subject I've ever shared despite some\npretty extraordinary experiences throughout the past 70-plus years.  As\nthe weeks went by, Holy Spirit began to download so many things in my spirit\nthat I honestly felt a bit overwhelmed.  I realized that in spite of some\npersonal experiences there were many layers of understanding and revelation\nthat needed to be peeled back.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Even as I began sharing during the conference a few weeks ago,\nthe downloads continued.  Bruce's sharing at the conference was revelatory\nall by itself, but the Lord was faithful to show up for those of us involved in\nthe ministry as well as those who were in attendance.  While Reg<\/span> Smith was leading the worship (Rich & DeAngela<\/span> and Della & I provided some accompaniment) the\npresence of the Lord became so intense that it became difficult to stand.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Bruce was getting ready to share so we headed to our chairs on\nthe front row.  Della and DeAngela<\/span> were already\ntipsy from drinking of the Spirit.  I'd been sitting on my guitar stool up\nto this point and hadn't stood on my feet for awhile.  When I got to my\nchair, I realized that my legs were buckling under me and reached out to grab\nDella for some stability.  That didn't work too well.  Down Della\nwent, with me across her.  It was humorous, but at the same time, Holy\nSpirit was continuing to pour His presence into us.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That said, in the next few weeks, I'd like to try and share some\nof the things the Lord has been saying, and perhaps give you a glimpse into\nwhere God is taking  His people -- as well as what is required of us if we\nare going to be a part of the revealing of God's Glory in the earth.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s\nbegin by considering the vast scope of God's Glory, and just what the Lord\nmeans when He speaks of His Glory.  We can start by putting this picture\nin its context as Moses, who is chosen by the Lord to lead Israel, wants to get\na grasp of who the Lord really is.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

God\nhas shown Himself in the Cloud and in the Pillar of Fire, and made known the\nfact that His Glory is being manifested as the Cloud settles over the\nTabernacle, but Moses doesn\u2019t really KNOW the Lord yet, and he wants a personal\nrevelation.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Exodus\n33:12-23<\/span><\/u><\/b>:  <\/span>And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest<\/span>\nunto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt\nsend with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee<\/span> by\nname, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight,\nshow me now thy way, that I may know thee<\/span>, that I may\nfind grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is<\/i> thy\npeople.   <\/sup>And he said, My presence shall go with\nthee<\/i>, and I will give thee<\/span> rest.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me<\/i>,\ncarry us not up hence.   <\/sup>For wherein shall it be\nknown here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight?  is\nit<\/i> not in that thou goest<\/span> with us?  So\nshall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are<\/i> upon\nthe face of the earth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that\nthou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee<\/span> by name.   <\/sup>And he said, I\nbeseech thee, show me thy glory.  <\/sup>And he said, I will make\nall my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD\nbefore thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show\nmercy on whom I will show mercy.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man\nsee me, and live.   <\/sup>And the LORD said, Behold, there\nis<\/i> a place by me, and thou shalt<\/span> stand upon\na rock:  <\/sup>And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth<\/span> by, that I will put thee in a clift<\/span>\nof the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:  <\/sup>And\nI will take away mine hand, and thou shalt<\/span> see my\nback parts: but my face shall not be seen.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s\nbreak down this conversation and consider first what Moses is saying to the\nLord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

His\nresponse to the Lord is essentially, \u201cLord, you say that you know me, but I\ndon\u2019t really know you.\u201d  Here is an amplified translation of what comes\nnext as Moses pursues his question and need to understand what God is really\nasking of Him.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now, if you would, [Lord], I beg of you, if I have found favor\nand acceptance in how you see me, reveal to me your innermost thoughts and\nheart\u2019s desires; help me to see what you see, to know the path you\u2019ve set for\nme and for this nation.  (My desire) is to become pleasing to you, to find\ncomplete acceptance with you.  Let\u2019s not forget that Israel \u2014 this nation\n\u2014 is your chosen nation and people.<\/span>  <\/span><\/b>(Exodus 33:13, RAC\nTranslation and Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nGod responds by giving to Moses the first indications of what His Glory will\nmean to Moses \u2014 and to Israel.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And God said, The face of my visible presence will precede you\nand accompany you, and I will cause you to be at peace and breathe easily.<\/span>  <\/span><\/b>(Exodus 33:14, RAC\nTranslation & Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now,\nMoses takes advantage of God\u2019s promise and makes it his personal criterion for\naccepting the commission and mandate to lead Israel through the wilderness to\nthe land of promise.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And he (Moses) responds saying, If the face of your visible\npresence does not precede and accompany us, then do NOT lead or take us [to\nthat land.]  Because how else is it going to be  known [among the\nnations] that I (as the leader) and this nation as Your People have found favor\nand acceptance with you?  Won\u2019t it be because you precede us and accompany\nus?  By this means we will be regarded as distinguished and set apart \u2014 I\nand this nation as Your People from every other tribe, nation and people spread\nacross the face of the earth.<\/span>  <\/span><\/b>(Exodus 33:15-16, RAC\nTranslation and Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now\nwe come to God\u2019s answer to Moses, and we set the stage for a revelation of His\nGlory.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And the Lord answered and declared to Moses, I will perform this\nword exactly as you  have requested and required, for you have indeed\nfound favor and acceptance with me, and I know of a surety your character, your\nmakeup, your honor and trustworthiness and your integrity [with me].<\/span>  <\/span><\/b>(Exodus 33:17, RAC\nTranslation & Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So\nnow, Moses is going to take advantage of God\u2019s approval of him.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Then, Lord, if you will, reveal to me and allow me to experience\nyour Glory.<\/span>  <\/span><\/b>(Exodus 33:18, RAC\nTranslation & Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Are\nyou ready?  Ready to see just what makes up the Glory of the Lord? \nThen buckle your seatbelt!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And He answered, I will cause the entirety of Myself, My\nKingdom, My fairness, beauty, joy, prosperity and goodness, and My discernment,\nto transition in phases by and upon you; I will address and pronounce the\nnature, the character, the makeup the personality of Yod<\/span>\nHey Vav<\/span> Hey (Jehovah) to you personally; I will\n[demonstrate to you that I] bestow favor, acceptance and mercy on whom I choose\nto show my love, favor, acceptance and mercy.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And He continued: you cannot see my face (or see into my eyes)\nbecause it is not possible for any person of the Adamic<\/span>\nseed to see and experience my face (or see into me) and live, or continue in\nlife.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And the Lord, continuing in His promise, said, Watch!  Pay\nattention, now!  There is a space here next to me where I will station\nyou, and have you stand on a cliff.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

At the same time, while My Glory moves and transitions past you,\nI will place you in a crevice in the rock and screen you in, covering and\novershadowing you with the hollow of my hand while I pass by.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As soon as I pass, I will remove my hand which has been covering\nyou, and you will get to see all that I have done \u2014 all of time past [from the\nbeginning of Creation] up to the present \u2014 but you\u2019ll not get to see and\nexperience my face (or see into my eyes) and know me that way. <\/span> <\/span><\/b>(Exodus 33:19-23, RAC\nTranslation and Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nscope of God\u2019s Glory   literally surpasses anything and everything\nthe natural eye or mind can possibly conceive.  But let\u2019s remember\nsomething \u2014 and the apostle Paul put it like this:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But as it is written, natural eye has not seen, nor has the ear\nof flesh heard, neither has it begun to be conceived by the unredeemed, natural\nmind, those things that God has made ready to reveal to those that love Him,\n[those who are in Christ, and in whom He dwells].<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But God has unveiled and revealed them to us by His Spirit; for\nthe Spirit pursues, digs out and prepares to reveal to us the profound depths\nof the nature, the character and purposes of God which have been hidden away\nfrom us [for an appointed time in the development of our character in Him].<\/span>  (I Corinthians\n2:9-10, RAC Translation and Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Are\nyou beginning to see the picture, here?  What was hidden from Moses (as a\npart of the Adamic<\/span> seed) now becomes available to\nthose who are in Christ Jesus <\/span>\u201cwho walk not after the\nflesh, but after the Spirit.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nGlory of the Lord is NOT available nor accessible for those who live their\nlives after the desires of the flesh.  It is NOT available for folks who\nhave a religious agenda and\/or attempt to fit their lives into a doctrinal\nbox.  The Glory of the Lord ONLY comes to and for those who have cut away\nall pre-conceived notions on how they should respond to the Lord, and\/or what\nHe requires of them.  We will get into this more in the next session, but\nlet\u2019s take a look at something that Isaiah prophesied.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Isaiah\n42:8<\/span><\/u><\/b>:  <\/span><\/b>I AM the Lord: that is my name: and my Glory will I not give to\nanother, neither my praise to graven images.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But\ntake a look at the way it actually appears in the Hebrew text:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I AM<\/span> <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/i><\/span> Hey Vav<\/span>\nHey<\/span><\/i>: that is my<\/span> <\/span>shem<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span><\/i>(onoma<\/i><\/span>)<\/span> nature and character, my makeup and personality: the\nweight of my glory and honor, my splendor and light will NEVER be given to\nstrangers \u2014 to  anyone not of my family \u2014 neither will I allow My Praise,\nMy renown and fame (with the songs thereof) to be given to idols or graven\nimages (other objects of focus, prime attention or worship).<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/b> (Isaiah 42:8,\nRAC Translation and Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nLord refers to His nature, character, makeup and personality as synonymous with\nHis Glory.  There are literally dozens of names given to the Lord\nthroughout Scripture to describe His various attributes, and I won\u2019t take the\ntime in this series to try to cover all those names; but let\u2019s take a look at\njust those four letters that make up what we generally refer to as \u201cthe tetragrammaton<\/span>\u201d \u2014 four Hebrew letters that are words all by\nthemselves with distinct meaning and character.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nreally want to dig into the translation and explanation of <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/i><\/span> Hey Vav<\/span>\nHey<\/span><\/i> \nbecause this isn't just some funny translation from the Hebrew: this "tetragrammaton<\/span>" is revelatory in every sense of the\nword.  We miss the significance of this because we Anglicize it into\nJehovah or Yahweh or some other approximation so we can pronounce something\nthat is representative of the character, the nature, the very essence of who\nGod really is.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nGod answered Moses, following his request to see God's Glory, the Lord told him\nthat he would <\/span>"proclaim the name of the Lord"<\/span> before\nhim.  He was literally saying to Moses that He was going to reveal the\nvery character and personality embodied in <\/span>Yod<\/span><\/i><\/span> Hey Vav<\/span>\nHey<\/span><\/i> \n-- something He had never done prior to this time in history.  There's a\nhuge panorama here, and we will try to at least illustrate this as best we can.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Each\nof the four letters that make up this "name" are pictures in\nthemselves.  Rather than try to get started in today's Coffee Break and\nthen have to stop mid-way, let's pause at this point and pick it up here next\nweek.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
