ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: GOING BEYOND, Part 3<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

 <\/p>\n

Let's get right to it as we pick up where we left off last week.\nAs a reminder let me begin with the theme of this series from Hebrews 6:1-3:<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Hebrews\n6:1-3, RAC Translation & Amplification<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>Therefore, and as a\nconsequence, it is critically important that we forsake [what Jesus has already\neradicated from existence] the beginnings and commencement of the [initiating]\nWord of the Anointed One and His Anointing (Jesus Christ),<\/span><\/o:p>\n<\/span>Let us move forward energetically to the place of completion and\nconsummation; not laying down [or setting in front of you as a continual\nrequirement] the legalistic requirement to repent, and re-do your thought\nprocesses concerning the old, dead works and requirements of the Law [as though\nit were necessary in order to attain redemption from past sins or iniquities],\nunder the guise that this builds faith in and toward God, the line-upon-line,\nprecept-upon-precept instruction in the purification processes in baptisms, the\nnecessity of laying on of hands (for impartation or conveyance of power), [the\nfoundational truth that Jesus provides] resurrection from the dead and\ncancelation of the curse of death, and \u2014 finally \u2014 the understanding and\nrevelation of the judgment and decrees that exist throughout the eternity of\nthe eternities.<\/span>\n<\/o:p>\n<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And this is what we will be enabled to do conditional upon God\u2019s\ntransfer of authority, granting license and liberty to move past these\nfoundations.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Last week we were talking about what I've come to call "the\ngrace of faith toward God" and I'd like to resume the discussion where we\npaused in talking about the sequence in God's economy that unfolds as grace\ndoes its work.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Last\nweek we said that grace is the empowerment to deal with sin. Grace is given to\nbring us to the gift of faith. The gift of faith comes when we hear the Word.\nOnce we hear the Word of faith, truth penetrates our spirit. When that takes\nplace, grace has done its job. Grace brings us to the truth. Faith takes over\nand grace is no longer needed.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Grace\nis only needed until we come to the truth which is infused into our beings by\nfaith. Consider something that John writes in his gospel -- and he says it\ntwice:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

John 1:14, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>And the\nWord was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as\nof the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

John 1:17, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>For the\nlaw was given by Moses, but<\/i> grace and truth came by Jesus\nChrist.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jesus\nIS full of grace. It is inherent in His nature and character. Jesus also said\nthat He IS the Truth!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

John 14:6, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Jesus saith<\/span> unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no\nman cometh unto the Father, but by me.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Consider,\nif you will, how faith and grace are so intertwined in the Word.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Romans 4:16<\/span><\/u><\/b>, KJV<\/span><\/u>: <\/span>Therefore\nit is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure\nto all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which\nis of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ephesians 2:5-8, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Even\nwhen we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye\nare saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in\nheavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might show\nthe exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ\nJesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of\nyourselves: it is the gift of God:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Romans 11:5-6, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Even so\nthen at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of\ngrace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no\nmore grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is\nno more work.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Galatians 3:22-26, AMP<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>But the\nScriptures [picture all mankind as sinners] shut up and imprisoned by sin, so\nthat [the inheritance, blessing] which was promised through faith in Jesus\nChrist (the Messiah) might be given (released, delivered, and committed) to\n[all] those who believe [who adhere to and trust in and rely on Him].<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Now before the faith came, we were perpetually guarded under the\nLaw, kept in custody in preparation for the faith that was destined to be\nrevealed (unveiled, disclosed), So that the Law served [to us Jews] as our\ntrainer [our guardian, our guide to Christ, to lead us] until Christ [came],\nthat we might be justified (declared righteous, put in right standing with God)\nby and through  faith.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

But now that the faith has come, we are no longer under a\ntrainer (the guardian of our childhood). For in Christ Jesus you are all\nsons of God through faith.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Galatians 5:5-6, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>For we\nthrough the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in\nJesus Christ neither circumcision availeth<\/span> anything,\nnor uncircumcision<\/span>; but faith which worketh<\/span> by love.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

And\nnow we\u2019ve added a third element to the working of grace and faith: love \u2014 agape<\/span><\/i><\/b>!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Ephesians\n3:17-19, AMP<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down,\nabide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love\nand founded securely on love,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp\nwith all the saints [God\u2019s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is\nthe breadth and length and height and depth [of it];<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

[That you may really come] to know [practically, through\nexperience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere\nknowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being]\nunto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine\nPresence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Now\nyou\u2019re beginning to see what I\u2019m referring to. I don\u2019t want to drag this out\nunnecessarily, but we often think of grace as a gift from God, and yet that\u2019s\nnot exactly accurate. Grace is the empowerment so that faith can be given to us\nas the gift, which in turn enables us to hear and respond to the beckoning of\nHoly Spirit \u2014 both when we are drawn to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus,\nAND as we respond to the rhema<\/span> which spurs our\ncontinuing growth and development in the knowledge and character of the Lord\nJesus Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Whewww<\/span><\/span>!! That was a mouthful,\nI know, but let me go back to Ephesians 2:8 and re-amplify it for you from the\nGreek so that it becomes clearer.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor it is through the direct influence (grace) and drawing of\nHoly Spirit that you are saved, healed, delivered, made whole, protected and\nmade to prosper, through and by means of faith, and that faith doesn\u2019t come\nbecause you willed it or made a decision in your mind<\/span> (<\/span><\/i><\/b>humon<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>):<\/span><\/i><\/b> it is the sacrificial gift \u2014 a present \u2014 of<\/span> and from Father, Son and Holy Spirit.\u201d <\/span>(RAC Translation\n& Amplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In\ncase you think I\u2019m mistranslating this, take a look at John 6:44-45:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cNo man can come to me except Father, who has dispatched and\nsent me, draw him like a magnet: and I will raise on high and Glorify Father at\nthe final end.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been written by the prophets, And they shall, everyone,\nbe communicated to and instructed by God. Every man, accordingly, that has\nheard and learned of Father comes to, and accompanies me.\u201d<\/span> <\/span><\/i><\/b>(RAC Translation & Amplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

I\ndon\u2019t want to start splitting hairs or get into some doctrinal disagreements\nwith everyone over this but except for the way that some English translations\nhave dealt with Ephesians 2:8, both of the current Jewish Bibles (the CJB and\nthe OJB) treat faith as the gift from God \u2014 NOT the grace. Grace, once again,\nis the pure and un-earned favor of God. It is the influencing factor, the\nempowerment that comes into our being which enables faith to hear and function\nso that we can respond to the Lord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Faith\ntoward God is elemental in the foundation-laying that takes place as we move\nfrom teknon<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span> to huios<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/i><\/b> The phenomenal thing about this faith\nis that not only does it enable us to hear and respond to the Lord in the first\nplace (Romans 10:17: <\/span>So then faith cometh by\nhearing, and hearing by the Word of God<\/span>.), it is also the divine, supernatural\ntransporter mechanism which enables us to receive our healing, our deliverance,\nour safety and protection, our wholeness, our provision and resulting\nprosperity.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Hebrew\n11:6, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>\u201cBut without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that\ncometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder<\/span>\nof them that diligently seek Him.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We\ncould take this subject a whole lot farther, but let's consider the essence of\nhow faith towards God actually operates. Here\u2019s how Paul, writing to the\nRomans, puts it:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Romans\n10:8-10, NASB {with my amplification): <\/span>"But what does it\nsay (in Deuteronomy 30:14)? \u201cThe word is\nnear you, in your mouth and in your heart<\/span>\u201d\u2014that is, the word of faith\nwhich we are preaching, because if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord,\nand believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;\nfor with the heart a person believes, [until he comes to the result of]\nrighteousness, and with the mouth he confesses to [agreeing with God], [until\nhe comes to ] the result of salvation.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We've\nquoted a whole lot of Scripture this time, but this is a critical foundation\nthat must be laid in our lives. We don't go on into the deeper things of God\nwithout this foundation.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\nmay seem rather redundant to many Christians for me to be covering these topics\n-- particularly for those who have walked with the Lord for many years, but it\nis amazing to me to see how little these foundations have actually been\nproperly laid in the lives of many professing believers.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With\nthe onslaught of so many attacks on the Biblical foundations of this nation and\nthe attempt to liberalize -- excuse me, this isn't liberalizing, this is flat\nout lying by ministers and denominational leaders and pretending that God's\nWord permits these aberrations and abominations -- the Word in such a way as to\ncondone homosexuality, lesbian lifestyles, bi-sexual and transgender\nactivities, pretending that this is completely normal and acceptable in God's\nsight.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And\nthat says nothing about the wholesale murder of the unborn all in the name of\nconvenience and "a woman's choice," as though women have the right to\ncommit murder against the children they have willingly and knowingly by their\nsexual promiscuity brought into their wombs.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

NONE\nof this would be permitted and tolerated in our society if the body of Christ\nactually had all these foundations laid in their lives. If indeed we are to go\non beyond to the kind of perfection and maturity that the Lord Jesus Christ seeks\nin His Bride, then it becomes more than critical that God's people understand\nwhat it means to have a foundation of repentance from dead works, to understand\nwhat faith really is, and that it isn't the name of some religious organization\n-- and I'll come to the rest of it in a minute.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Unfortunately,\n"faith" is treated today in much of the body of Christ as a noun --\nNOT as a supernatural impartation that comes with the voice and the Word of God\nbeing spoken into one's being. There is no such thing as "the Christian\nfaith." There is no such thing as "the Buddhist faith." There is\nno such thing as "Mormon faith." There is no such thing as\n"Muslim faith." In fact, Islam isn't really a religion at all; it is\na political philosophy with religious overtones.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

We\ncould go on and on and on and on -- and you get the idea!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

"Faith"\ndoesn't identify a church or a denomination or a religion. Faith is a gift of\nGod which enables us to hear His Word and obey Him implicitly. Churches today\nhave compromised the Word, right along with our political leaders, in trying to\nidentify church organizations, denominations and religions as some kind of\n"faith." It is a flat-out lie of Satan to steer people astray and\nwater down what God is saying to His people!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It's\nkind of ironic, and yet it is absolutely true. Isaiah prophesied that the Glory\nof the Lord would begin to manifest as never before in the midst of the kind of\nperversity we see in the earth today. That's where we are, folks! God is about\nto show up on the scene with His Glory being manifested in a people who will\nnot compromise His Word, and whose passion for the Lord Jesus Christ knows no\nbounds whatever!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
