Howdy, Howdy, Howdy!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

It's got to be more than 20 years\nsince we first began to introduce the truth and the picture of real Ekklesia<\/span> as it contrasts to the conventional idea of\n"church." For some folks it was pretty controversial but for most it\nwas revelatory. It was during that same time frame that the revelation of the onoma<\/span> of the Lord Jesus Christ leaped into our beings. For\nsome reason, it has continued to be controversial. Some people are so stuck on\nthe "name" that they just can't see what God is doing. They don't\nseem to understand the truth of what John shared in his epistle:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"We know that when He shall be manifested, we shall be like\nHim."<\/span> <\/span>(I\nJohn 3:2)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

THAT, folks, is the fundamental\ntruth behind the revelation of what John wrote otherwise in Revelation:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"Him that overcometh<\/span> will I make\na pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out; and I will write\nupon him the name<\/u><\/b> (<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>) <\/b>of my God, and\nthe name<\/u><\/b> (<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>) <\/b>of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which\ncometh down out of heaven from my God; and I will write upon him my new\nname<\/u><\/b> (<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>)!"<\/span> <\/span><\/i>(Revelation 3:12 KJV)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This is transformation! This is\nconversion. This is metamorphosis. This is a total shift in our personality,\nour character, our makeup, our nature......AND it is a change of our name! No,\nI'm not talking about changing your name from Lucy to Marie, or Bob to John, or\nanything like that. This isn't what this prophecy is all about. This is what\nJesus prayed. Hear this in your spirit!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art<\/i>\n[merged and immersed] in me, and I [am merged and immersed] in thee, that they\nalso may be one [merged and immersed] in us<\/u>: that the world may believe\nthat thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest<\/span>\nme I have given them; that they may be [merged and immersed in]<\/u> one,\neven as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made (whole,\ncomplete and finished) perfect in one [new<\/u><\/span>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>]<\/span><\/u>; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast\nloved them, as thou hast loved me."<\/span>\n<\/span>(John 17:21-23, with my amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Jesus -- in His<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span><\/i>-- embodied the entirety of the\nSeven Spirits of God. That's where we go (or at least continue to go) with\ntoday's discussion. Once again, here they are in the order in which we see them\nrevealed in the Word.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

1.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Judgment and Burning<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>(Isaiah 4:4)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

2.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Isaiah 11:2)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

3.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Counsel and Might<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Isaiah 11:2) -- referred to by the\napostle Paul as: The Spirit of Power<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

4.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Knowledge and of The Fear of the\nLord<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Isaiah\n11:2) also referred to by Paul as: The Spirit of a Sound Mind<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

5.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Grace and Supplications<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Zechariah 12:10)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

6.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Truth<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(see John 15:26)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

7.<\/span><\/b> <\/span>The Spirit of Glory<\/span><\/b>\n<\/span>(see I Peter 4:14)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Continuing on with our look at the\nseven Spirits of God, the third spirit named in the<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>of the Lord is the Spirit of Counsel\nand Might.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The concept of "counselor"\nis one with which we are much more familiar since we generally think of the\nHoly Spirit in this mode. The Hebrew word used in Isaiah's prophecy is<\/span> <\/span>et.sah<\/span><\/i>.<\/span> <\/span>This\nword is frequently used by Isaiah in a prophetic sense as in:<\/span> <\/span>foreknowledge, the\nfaculty of forming plans which are carried out exactly; prudence, wisdom<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/u> <\/span>in a more oblique sense,<\/span> <\/span>et.sah<\/span><\/i> <\/span>means:<\/span> <\/span>the instrument by which\none's purpose is carried out<\/span><\/u><\/b>.<\/span><\/u>\n<\/span>Gebuwrah<\/span><\/i><\/span>\n<\/span>is the Hebrew word for\n"might," and it represents:<\/span>\n<\/span>strength, fortitude, virtue, power.<\/span><\/u><\/b> <\/span>Micah (3:8) uses the word to\ndescribe the spirit of the prophet as:<\/span>\n<\/span>being strong and intrepid<\/span><\/u><\/b>.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>(Note also that<\/span> <\/span>gebuwrah<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>has a companion word,<\/span> <\/span>gibbowr<\/span><\/i><\/span>,<\/span> <\/span>which\nwe will take up a little later.)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

These are words and definitions\nwhich we can easily see as part of Jesus'<\/span>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>. <\/span>It is even easy to see "counselor" within the\npurview of<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i>.<\/span> <\/span>"Might,"\nhowever, is a little more of a stretch for some people. We all know Jesus as\nbeing mighty, but considering "might" as integral to<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span>requires\nsome revision to our conventional thinking. It becomes a little more\nunderstandable when we realize that because there is a specific and definite\npurpose and objective in<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>gebuwrah<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>is the capacity to accomplish the\npurposes established by Jesus Christ from the beginning.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Were it not for<\/span> <\/span>gebuwrah<\/span><\/i><\/span>,<\/span><\/i> <\/span>nothing\nwould have happened with He spoke those thunderous words,<\/span> <\/span>"Let there be light."<\/span>\n<\/span>The Holy Spirit could have continued\nto brood over the face of the waters for eternity just hoping for something to\nhappen. Creation could not have started. The plan for Jesus Christ to have a\ncounterpart who would fulfill Him would have simply remained a plan.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There is another side, as well. When\nthe woman with the issue of blood (see Matthew 9:20) scrambled through the\ncrowd to simply touch the hem of His garment, "Might" went forth. The\nGreek word which parallels<\/span> <\/span>gebuwrah<\/span><\/i><\/span>\n<\/span>is<\/span>\n<\/span>dunamis<\/span><\/i><\/span>,\nnormally translated:<\/span> <\/span>strength,\nmight, ability, power; the inherent power resident in one by virtue of their\nnature.<\/span><\/u><\/b> <\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

It is this aspect of Jesus'<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>which enables Him to simply speak\nthe word (as He did at creation), and see demons flee. There is a force of\nauthority inherent in His nature and makeup. That force rules over every other\npower in the universe. It is the authority to which<\/span> <\/span>"every knee shall bow, of beings in heaven, and on the\nearth, and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord\nto the Glory of God the Father."<\/span>\n<\/span>(Philippians 2:10-11 -- my\ntranslation)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This is where the difference resides\nbetween using the "name of Jesus" as some kind of formula, and\nspeaking in His<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>. In Acts\n19:13-16, we are told of the seven sons of Sceva<\/span>, who\nsaw Paul casting out evil spirits in the<\/span>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>of Jesus. They took it as some kind of magical incantation\nwith a power that would enable them to exercise the same authority. It wasn't.\nThe evil spirits made mincemeat of them.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Then there is the case of Simon, the\nsorcerer, (see Acts 8:9-24) a man who had practiced various magical arts so as\nto manipulate the lives of people and gain power and respect for himself. In\nthat same mindset thought he could buy this power. Peter's response was,<\/span> <\/span>"I see that you are in the anger of bitterness and the bond\nof unrighteousness."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

(Note: The Roman Catholic historian,\nWerner Keller (in his book, THE CHURCH AS HISTORY), writes that Simon not only\ndid not<\/b> repent after Peter's rebuke, but that Simon later traveled to\nRome, where he foisted himself off on many as being "Simon Peter."\nThere he was seized by Roman soldiers, crucified, and buried on the hill, Vaticanus<\/span> (now the site of the present-day Vatican.)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

One cannot appropriate this power\nfor themselves. It is not just some "force" in the universe, divorced\nfrom the makeup and essence of Jesus Christ. It is the very life-flow, the\nvirtue, the power, the authority of His<\/span>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>; <\/span>and it is freely available to a responsive and obedient\nBride being transformed by His Paraklete<\/span>, the Holy\nSpirit. Though there were strict legal implications because of the manner in\nwhich his crucifixion occurred, it was the force which came forth as He shed\nHis blood on the cross which broke the bondage of sin, captivity to Satan, and\nthe power of the Law. It was that same<\/span>\n<\/span>gebuwrah<\/span><\/i><\/span>\/dunamis<\/span><\/span><\/i> <\/span><\/i>that reversed the curse upon the\nhuman race -- or more specifically, upon all who would receive Him and the\nprice He paid as the cancellation of the curse.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

It is that same force which must be\nresident in us as His Bride, otherwise we are simply phony "name-sayers<\/span>." It is that power which demonstrates Jesus'\nauthority functioning in a people whom He is conforming to His nature, His\nmakeup, His character, His<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now, let me take a different\napproach. Let's look at this Spirit of Counsel and Might from an entirely\ndifferent perspective.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Proverbs\n1:20-32<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Wisdom crieth<\/span> without; she uttereth<\/span> her voice in the streets: She crieth<\/span>\nin the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth<\/span> her words, saying<\/i>, How long, ye simple\nones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and\nfools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit\nunto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye\nrefused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought<\/span> all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also\nwill laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear\ncometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress\nand anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not\nanswer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they\nhated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my\ncounsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of\ntheir own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of\nthe simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But\nwhoso hearkeneth<\/span> unto me shall dwell safely, and\nshall be quiet from [the] fear of evil.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The Spirit of Counsel\nand Might reproves, rebukes, admonishes and corrects us \u2013 in love! His purpose\nin so doing (see Verse 23) is so that He can<\/span>\n<\/span>\u201cpour out My Spirit unto you,\u201d<\/span>\n<\/span>and so that He can<\/span> <\/span>\u201cmake known [and bring revelation of] My Words unto you.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Just as there are\nconsequences for rejecting the Spirit of Judgment and Burning, so likewise are\nthere consequences that come from rejecting the Spirit of Counsel and Might.\n\u201cMight\u201d establishes the baseline from which \u201cCounsel\u201d is provided. \u201cMight\u201d\nknows the safety that is provided with \u201cCounsel\u201d and establishes protective\nbarriers for those who receive and walk according to \u201cCounsel\u2019s\u201d word \u2013 and\nthose protective barriers are designed to guard (with force and might) those\nwho do.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Outside those protective\nbarriers along the path which \u201cCounsel\u201d advises and admonishes is a realm of\nterror and destruction, distress and anguish (see Verse 27). \u201cMight\u201d is\ndesigned to protect those who walk according to \u201cCounsel,\u201d but \u201cMight\u201d will not\nstretch forth a finger to help those who choose their own paths contrary to the\nWord.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Solomon wraps up this\nfirst chapter of Proverbs with the prophetic promise and statement that<\/span> <\/span>\u201cWhoever listens and obeys me shall dwell safely and be quiet\nfrom the Fear of Evil.\u201d<\/span> <\/span>The Fear of Evil is the granddaddy of all evil spirits. It is the\nprincipal driving spirit of fear; and the father of the Fear of Man and the\nFear of Death.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The Fear of Evil is the\ncontrolling force behind all religion and the deception in religion. The root\nof this fear is that it perceives God as hanging a \u201cSword of Damocles\u201d overhead\njust waiting for your mistake so He can bring it down and destroy you. Thus God\nis perceived as \u201cevil.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The corollary is that\none must keep certain laws or perform certain acts in order to please God.\nDistortion of God\u2019s commands follows, deception sets in, and God\u2019s Word is\nautomatically disobeyed by the keeping of certain lesser commands to the\nsetting aside or ignoring more important commands which are rooted in the\nprinciple of loving and honoring God.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s see if we can look\nat a couple of examples of this.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Which is more important\nbefore the Lord:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

(1)<\/span> <\/span>To feed and clothe the poor, or to spend time waiting on God? Both\nare important, but is our relationship with the Lord more important to Him, or\nis our religious observance of feeding and clothing the poor of greater\nimportance?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

(2)<\/span> <\/span>To give gifts to the Lord (sow seed, bring offerings, give to\nmissions, etc.) or to reconcile differences between you and another brother (or\nsister) in the Lord? Where is our priority, here? Is giving our tithes,\nofferings, and supporting various missions of greater importance to the Lord,\nor is His focus on having a whole and healthy Ekklesia<\/span>\nwhose very existence becomes salt in the earth?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

(3)<\/span> <\/span>To keep and recognize feast days and\/or honor the Sabbath, or to\nwalk by faith? Is it more important to the Lord that we religiously observe the\nfeasts and keep the Sabbath, or is having our faith vested in the Lord of Sabaoth<\/span> of first importance?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

(4)<\/span> <\/span>To offer praise and worship to the Lord, or to forgive intentional\noffenses towards you by would-be brethren, or even those not of the household\nof faith?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Are you getting the\npicture? Fear causes us to obey the right commands in the wrong order. NONE of\nHis commands are unimportant! Feeding the hungry or clothing the poor IS a\ncommand from the Lord, but it comes AFTER our time with the Lord \u2013 and as He\ndirects.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

It almost sounds like\nI'm getting religious here, like I'm trying to proscribe strict laws and\ndetails of the Law, but that's not what this is about! There is an order \u2013 a\nprotocol \u2013 to our obedience to the Word and the Counsel of the Lord. We don't\nget to pick and choose which commands, or which counsel, we will observe and\/or\nthe order in which we will follow it. Religion tends to justify this disorder\n"just as long as we keep the Word." Nope. That's not the way it\nworks!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Jesus made it clear that\nHe wasn\u2019t interested \u2013 and neither was the Father \u2013 in receiving gifts,\nofferings, etc. from us UNTIL we resolved issues of unforgiveness<\/span>\nor offenses between us and fellow-believers. He wasn\u2019t saying \u201cGo spend your\nmoney or give your gifts somewhere else because I won\u2019t receive them.\u201d He WAS\nsaying, \u201cSet those gifts aside UNTIL you have resolved the matter between you\nand your brother. THEN come and bring them to me.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The fear that drives\ndeception is a religious fear, and it is a fear that comes upon us when we\nreject the Spirit of Counsel and Might.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The promise of the Lord\nto those who \u201chearken\u201d (a word which literally means "to hear and\nobey") unto Him is that<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

(1)<\/span> <\/span>They will dwell safely. They will live their lives in safety and\nprotection (see also Psalm 91) from harm and danger, and from attacks of the\nEnemy \u2013 both verbal and weapons-based, and from disease, pestilence, plague,\nAND from accidents.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

(2)<\/span> <\/span>Their lives will be quiet. (See Psalm 105 and Psalm 91:3) The\nphrase, \u201cnoisome pestilence\u201d in Hebrew is the phrase,<\/span> <\/span>havvah<\/span><\/i><\/span> deber<\/span>,<\/span><\/i> <\/span>which literally\ntranslates to \u201cnoisy disorder\u201d or \u201cwords, events or things thrown into\nconfusion and disarray in the midst of a rushing wind.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

(3)<\/span> <\/span>The Fear of Evil will have no power over them. Hence, there will\nbe no confusion, no deception, no disarray or disorder in their walk along the\npath directed by the Spirit of Counsel and Might.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

OK, so far?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

There is a another,\ndifferent dimension of revelation to the way the Spirit of Counsel and Might\noperates, and we\u2019ll take that up in our next Coffee Break.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Chuck\nPierce once again has a fresh prophetic word, and it is relevant to what I've\njust shared with you:<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"You\ncould easily miss the shift that is going on around you. Do not miss the shift\nthat I am bringing into the earth realm above you. I am beginning to speak in\nways to clarify what you have heard in past seasons. If you will listen from\nHeaven and not walk in the earth, your ears will be clear and your eyes will\nsee<\/b>. I say to you this is the beginning of a new season!<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"This\nis a time when that which has looked dead will begin to bud \u2013 that which has\nlooked as if it had no life. Know that I'm going to bring life where it looks\nlike there's death. Where there has been death to finances, where there's been\ndeath to dreams, know that Aaron's rod has budded and life has come forth. Do\nnot wait to see the full blossoming, but look for the budding<\/b>, for in\nthe bud know that there is life.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"This\nis a season that I'm going to cause the budding to come forth. This is a time\nwhere you're going to be able to see life where you thought there was death.\nKnow that it is only the death to the old<\/b>. But I say it is the time\nof the budding of the new<\/b>. Do not miss the new! Do not miss the life that\nI'm causing to come forth, for this is the time that I'm causing the rod to\nbloom and I'm causing the rod to bud. New life has been released in this\nhour<\/b>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"Know\nMe as Me and who I am, for seeds must fall into the earth for life to spring\nforth. Know Me, for this is a time that from Heaven I am stringing and making\ntaut the lines that My word is coming on. I will bring words to nations and\nwords to families and words to those who have made mistakes in the past. And in\none day I will renew their life and their bodies. This is a time that I am\nstringing and causing My word to come. I have stairs up and down, ascending\nand descending, and angelic hosts are coming to redeem your past and open up\nyour future<\/b>."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n
