ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: A NEW ONOMA, Part 3<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Mornin<\/span><\/b><\/span>\u2019 Folks! Best day of your\nlife, right? Awww<\/span>, now, don\u2019t look at me in that tone\nof voice! Think of it this way: this is the day that the Lord has made \u2013 so\ntake advantage of the day and walk in the blessings of the Lord!<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let's\nget right back to our discussion. We've got lots of territory to cover, and I'm\nlikely going to run a bit long today. Here again is the prophetic Word given to\nand by John in Revelation:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"Him that overcometh<\/span> will I make\na pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out; and I will write\nupon him the name<\/u><\/b> (<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>) <\/b>of my God, and\nthe name<\/u><\/b> (<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>) <\/b>of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which\ncometh down out of heaven from my God; and I will write upon him my new\nname<\/u><\/b> (<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>)!"<\/span> <\/span><\/i>(Revelation 3:12 KJV)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Because\nthe<\/span> <\/span>name\/onoma<\/span><\/span><\/i> <\/span>of the Lord is so\nclearly revealed in the Seven Spirits of God, I want to pick up where we left\noff last time in talking about the Spirit of Judgment and Burning. Before we\ndo, here's a quick refresher on those Seven Spirits as revealed in the Word:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

1.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit\nof Judgment and Burning<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>(Isaiah 4:4)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

2.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit\nof Wisdom and Understanding<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Isaiah 11:2)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

3.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit\nof Counsel and Might<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Isaiah 11:2) -- referred to by the\napostle Paul as: The Spirit of Power<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\ncase this needs restating, it is imperative to remember that all of creation\ncame into being for one purpose, and one purpose only: the bringing into being,\nthe nurturing and maturing of a Bride destined to become the co-equal\ncounterpart of Jesus Christ. Of necessity, that Bride must choose Jesus Christ\nof her own free will, else there can be no fellowship. Jesus' purpose has never<\/b>\nbeen for a people who are robotically obedient to His commands and laws just\nbecause those commands exist. He has sought after a people who respond to His\nlove and reciprocate with their whole beings -- because they love Him more than\nlife itself.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nhuman race was given the same free will and choice that Jesus knows. He knew\nwith divine foreknowledge that Satan would attempt to deceive the human race.\nHe therefore incorporated His foreknowledge and creation of Satan into His plan\nfor a Bride.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nEzekiel's prophecy where he takes up the word of the Lord against Lucifer, he\nsays,<\/span> <\/span>"Thou hast been in\nEden, the garden of God.........You were the anointed cherub who covers, and I\nplaced you there."<\/span> <\/span>(<\/span>See Ezekiel 28:12-14)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Correspondingly,\nHe knew that only a small number of people would actually respond to Him with\ntheir whole beings. He also knew that an overwhelming majority would believe\nSatan's lies and deceit; that in their place of agreement with him, they would\nbecome his pawns in the battle against the Bride \u2013and yet He still provided an\nopen avenue and opportunity for their redemption.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Over\nthe course of the last six millennia, therefore, in order to nourish and\nprotect that Bride-in-processing, it has therefore been imperative that Jesus\nChrist, the Bridegroom, exercise judgment and extermination judiciously -- not\nto wipe out the opposition, but to allow just enough opposition to exist. The\nBride would, as a consequence, be required to continually overcome and rule\nover that opposition in the realm of the Spirit.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nSpirit of Judgment and Burning, therefore, is pivotal to His<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>, His existence -- and\nto ours<\/b> as His intended Bride. "Burning," of course, has another\nless comfortable (to the flesh, anyway!) aspect. It can also be seen within the\nframework of that which we have come to know as<\/span>\n<\/span>thlipsis<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span> <\/span>the\nfiery trials, the tribulations, the furnace of afflictions, and the\n"processing" which prepares us for Him. \u201cBurning\u201d serves to burn away\nthe fetters which keep us in bondage.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

A\nclassic example of this is seen in the case of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,\nDaniel\u2019s friends who were thrown into the fiery furnace, bound with ropes and\nfetters. Not only did Nebuchadnezzar not<\/b> get his desire to see the men\ndie, the fire \u2013 heated seven times hotter than normal \u2013 only succeeded in\nburning away those bonds and setting Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego free!<\/b>\nAt the same time, those who threw them into the fire were killed by the heat of\nthe furnace. Furthermore, Nebuchadnezzar saw the Lord walking with them in\nmidst of the flames.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nis a choice reminder for us that whenever we are in the fire, the Lord is with\nus. This is a principle which addresses a commonly held misconception: namely,\nthat the Lord does not want us to suffer. You can rest assured that He is much\nless concerned with the suffering of our flesh than He is with the building and\ndevelopment of our character, and the transformation of our<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>. (Now, as sure as I\nmake that statement, some folks are sure to jump to the conclusion that I'm\nsaying the Lord is cruel and heartless and that He doesn't care about our\nsuffering. Wrong! He does! Our problem is that because we've lived our lives\nwith such a humanistic perspective, we've lost sight of what it means to be overcomers<\/span> -- and to KNOW the power of the Risen Christ\nover all disease, suffering and afflictions of every kind!)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Being\nchanged into His likeness and image is the<\/b> highest priority. It is of\nfar greater importance that we not suffer throughout eternity, being separated\nfrom Jesus Christ (or worse, that we make it to heaven but are not included in\nthe Bride because we failed to overcome the flesh) than that our flesh not\nendure pain for some short period of time \u2013 whether that period be measured in\ndays, weeks, months, or years.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now,\nlet's talk about the second of the Seven Spirits of God: the Spirit of Wisdom\nand Understanding.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Intrinsic\nto the very essence of Jesus' being is the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding,\nIsaiah identified this second of the seven spirits using two Hebrew words:<\/span> <\/span>chok.mah<\/span><\/i>, and<\/span> <\/span>biy.nah<\/span><\/i>.<\/span> <\/span>Chok.mah<\/span><\/i> <\/span>comes from the root<\/span>, cha.kam<\/i><\/span>,<\/span> <\/span>which means:<\/span> <\/span>To judge with discernment; to be skilled in wisdom; to ascertain\nthrough supernatural perception<\/span><\/b>.<\/span> <\/span>Biy.nah<\/span><\/i>,<\/span> <\/span>the\nword translated "understanding," comes from its root word,<\/span> <\/span>biy<\/span><\/i><\/span>,<\/span> <\/span>meaning:<\/span>\n<\/span>to discern or perceive; to have skill in insight; (in a mental\nsense) to stand apart, to cause to be separate and distinct, to easily\ndistinguish<\/span><\/b>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

At\nfirst glance, the concept of Judgment and Burning, melding and flowing with\nWisdom and Understanding, seems to lose something in the translation. When we\nsee the true meaning, however, of "Wisdom," in the sense of:<\/span> <\/span>judging with discernment, or ascertaining through supernatural\nperception<\/span><\/b>;<\/span>\n<\/span>along\nwith "Understanding" as:<\/span>\n<\/span>skill in insight, or the ability to separate (events, facts,\ncircumstances, or people) into their distinct characteristics and qualities<\/span><\/b>,<\/span> <\/span>we realize that without this Spirit,\nJesus'<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>would be incomplete.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Consider,\nif you will, that the operations and workings of these spirits are promised as\ngifts -- a kind of dowry from the Bridegroom -- to the believer: the Bride\nbeing prepared and molded to be a fit counterpart for Jesus Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Paul\nwrites (in I Corinthians 12),<\/span> <\/span>"Now concerning spirituals, brethren, I do not wish you to\nbe ignorant..............to each is given the manifestation of the Spirit to\nmake them fit and suitable (for the Bridegroom). For to one by the Spirit is\ngiven a word of wisdom; and to another a word of understanding by the same\nSpirit.............and to another, prophecy; and to another discerning of\nspirits......But [in] all these things is operating the one and same Spirit, dividing\ndistinctly [out of His own nature and will] as He sees appropriate."<\/span> <\/span>(my\ntranslation)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Obviously,\nI have skipped over some of the mentioned manifestations of the Spirit --\n"spirituals," if you will -- so as to illustrate just the first two\naspects of Jesus'<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nthe phrase,<\/span> <\/span>"a word of\nunderstanding by the same Spirit<\/span>"<\/span> <\/span>(we\nare more familiar with this as "a word of knowledge"), J. H. Thayer,\nin his Greek-English Lexicon, suggests that the word,<\/span> <\/span>gnosis<\/span><\/i>,<\/span> <\/span>is better translated:<\/span> <\/span>Intelligence, understanding, advanced perception, a more\nperfected and enlarged knowledge<\/span><\/b>.<\/span> <\/span>Gnosis<\/span><\/i>,<\/span> <\/span>however, has a companion word in the\nGreek language,<\/span> <\/span>gnome<\/span><\/i>,<\/span> <\/span>which helps us better see the framework\nfrom which this "word of understanding" operates.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Gnome<\/span><\/i> <\/span>means:<\/span>\n<\/span>Judgment, advice, decree, the faculty of knowing; the capacity\nto resolve with purpose and intention.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Judgment,\ntherefore, is incorporated into this gift. Once again, this is not a harsh\njudgment, but the capacity coming out of<\/span>\n<\/span>agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span>to resolve things according to the\ndesires of the Bridegroom. It is the best interests of the Bridegroom which are\nat stake, with a view towards that which He is accomplishing in the Bride's\npreparation. The Body of Christ has been slow to understand this concept of\njudgment. We have all withdrawn and flinched whenever there has been a\nperception of someone being judgmental, and have even tended to call people\n"judgmental" when they have simply spoken the truth in love.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nhas happened, however, is that the Enemy has quietly quoted and inserted the\nscripture -- over and over and over again (within our subconscious)<\/span> <\/span>-- "Judge not that ye be not judged"<\/span> <\/span>(Matthew\n7:1), and in the process, programmed us with a fear of judgment.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nJesus' statement,<\/span> <\/span>"Judge not,"<\/span> <\/span>an\nentirely different word is used in the Greek text --<\/span> <\/span>krino<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>--<\/span><\/i> <\/span>which\nmeans:<\/span> <\/span>To separate, to pick out,\nto choose, to select; to approve, favor or esteem one over another<\/span><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>it\nalso means:<\/span> <\/span>to pronounce an opinion\nconcerning right and wrong.<\/span><\/b>\n<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus,\ntherefore, was referring to the choices and pronouncements of human will,\nchoice, and intellectual opinion -- not<\/b> His divine purposes, and not<\/b>\nthat Spirit of Judgment which is integral to His<\/span>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Consider,\nonce again, the significance of this truth. Human nature is very judgmental in\nits unregenerate state. This judgment is fed by the Tree of the Knowledge of\nGood and Evil. So long, therefore, as we (even as Christians) eat<\/span> of the Tree of Knowledge, we make "judgments"\n-- that is, we form opinions -- of what is good or evil, and make\npronouncements accordingly. We make choices in our assessments of individuals.\nThe result is "exclusivity." We form associations, attachments and friendships,\nand fellowship only with those we find "desirable."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Once\nwe fall into the trap of becoming "exclusive" in our fellowship\nand\/or associations with individuals, we then prefer certain ones over others.\nWithout realizing what has happened, we have succumbed to The Fear of Man. The\nend result is the inability to speak the revealed truth of the Lord (the\naforementioned "word of knowledge," or "word of\nunderstanding") to those who need it because of the fear of losing that\ndesired relationship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

My\nbrethren and my sisters, we are \u2014each of us \u2014 being processed and dealt with in\nthis area of our lives. Our responses to the dealing of the Holy Spirit are\nabsolutely critical. How can we expect the Lord to imbue us with His<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>--\nan<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>which incorporates\ntrue judgment -- if we make human judgments based on opinions nourished by the\nTree of Knowledge?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

How\ncan we expect to walk in an<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>that makes divine\ndecrees which govern not just the affairs of the human race, but also assert rulership<\/span> in the realm of the Spirit over principalities\nand powers and lords of the darkness of this age, when we can't even speak the\ntruth in<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span>to\nthe brethren and sisters closest to us?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nis imperative that this become life in our beings! It is the Spirit of Wisdom\nand Understanding, working hand in hand with the Spirit of Judgment and Burning\n\u2013 both of which are integral to<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span>\u2013 which are foundational to the\nauthority and rulership<\/span> of Jesus\u2019<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>. By the same token,\nthey must be linked and joined into, and made operational, as a part of the\nfoundations of our<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Our<\/span>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>is being conformed\nand changed to complete and fulfill the<\/span>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>of our Bridegroom,\nJesus Christ. John wrote that,<\/span> <\/span>"We know that when He shall be manifested, we shall be like\nHim."<\/span> <\/span>(I John 3:2) The Greek word translated,\n"like," is<\/span> <\/span>homoios<\/span><\/i><\/span>. It means:<\/span> <\/span>To resemble, to be similar, to be like in form or look, in\nappearance, in nature, in mode of thinking, feeling, or acting; corresponding\nto, or equivalent to in strength, power and attractions, in authority, in mind\nand character.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

No word could better describe the\nchange of our<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>. In and of ourselves, we are unable to make this change.\nYet the change is as inexorable as His power, and He makes the change in us, so\nlong as we respond wholeheartedly<\/u>, without hesitation, without limitations,\nwithout compromises, and without attempting to gloss over anything He exposes\nby His Spirit. In other words, our responses to the Paraklete<\/span>,\nwho has been given the responsibility of oversight for this change, must be\nwith every breath of our existence.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It is the<\/span>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>of our Bridegroom\nwhich is at stake, and nothing less than absolute conformity to His<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>will\nsuffice.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

No\none<\/span><\/b> <\/span>who resists, draws back, compromises in\nany way, or attempts to cover over any area of His dealing can expect to ever<\/b>\nbe incorporated into His Bride. That is not being judgmental. This is not a\ndecision or an opinion of mine. It is simply truth! The Holy Spirit, in\ncooperation with the Bridegroom, has set the standard of change and conformity.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nwe cannot overcome the frailties of our flesh and emotions, if we cannot\ndethrone imaginations and every high thing which exalts itself above the<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>of\nGod, if we cannot overcome the lies of Satan and his evil spirits, along with\ntheir operations within us, how can we ever expect to be seated at His right\nhand<\/u><\/span> <\/span>"far above every\nprincipality and authority and power and lordship, and every onoma<\/i><\/span> that is named, not only in this age, but in\nthe coming one."<\/span> <\/span>? (Ephesians 1:21 -- my translation)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That's\na good place to leave things for today. We'll return next week with the third\nof the Seven Spirits of God: the Spirit of Counsel and Might.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Following\nis a very important prophetic word just shared by Chuck Pierce:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"Lift up your eyes! Lift up your eyes! Your redemption is\ndrawing nigh, that which you need Me to come through on your behalf. Lift up\nyour eyes and see! For you were looking in one plane and one direction. If you\nwill lift up your eyes I will show you a horizon line that is set further than\nyou have seen in the past. Lift up your eyes, for your help is on the way.<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"For all the blessings in spiritual places I've given you,\nmany of you have forgotten what I have spoken. And many [blessings] were hidden\nfrom one generation that I'm ready to reveal in another generation. So lift up\nyour eyes, for above you, where I am seated in that Heavenly place, I am ready\nto reveal to you what you could not see even in the year that you have just\ncompleted.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"For one generation will begin to pass off their gift to\nanother. When that happens, this generation will become a rear guard to those\nthat are now moving on the front line. Get ready, for a movement has begun and\nHeaven has entered the earth realm and My people are beginning to move in a new\nway with revelation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"There is a sound that I am bringing forth. For I have a\npeople that will create the winds that are necessary to rearrange many events\nin the earth. Watch for the rearrangement of events. Watch for that which\ncouldn't be bridged to be bridged. Watch for what could not be penetrated to be\nopened up. Watch for that which was out of order to be reordered. Bring forth\nthe sounds into the earth that will cause some things to tumble, other things\nto be rebuilt, and some things to rise up and display the power that Heaven has\nnot had displayed in the past season. Let Heaven be seen in the earth realm\nand let My people go forth in triumph<\/b>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"I have purchased right of ways in the earth realm, and\nthose ways have not been pioneered before. But now I'm raising up a people and\nI'm giving them rights to ways that need to be opened up. Go! I have the\ndeed to the right of way, and paved the way for many to come into a new\nplace."<\/o:p><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"I'm bringing down\nthe wind into the earth realm that's stirring up the oil and the anointing to anoint\nthe vision of My people tonight. Judah is going first and the sound is creating\na salve to heal the eyes of My people. Some of you have a hard time erasing\ncertain pictures that your eyes have seen. There's an anointing tonight for\nhealing of a deep memory based upon the reflection of what you have seen that\nwas not aligned with My purpose. Allow the sound and your worship to heal your\nvision."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
