ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: A VIRTUOUS WOMEN, Part 2<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Greetings\nand Solutions to all of you!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

OK.\nThat was supposed to be \u201cSalutations\u201d but \u201dsolutions\u201d works, too.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\nwas intended to be the final Coffee Break for the year 2012, but events conspired\nto hold it up until January. Nevertheless, I want to finish up this discussion\non the virtuous woman.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\nis also the completion of our eighth year of publication of these articles and\ndiscussions and the beginning of our ninth year. For those of you who may not\nhave yet noticed, or gone there, http:\/\/www.RegnersMorningCoffee.com<\/span><\/a> is our new site.\nRich Hoffman has done a spectacular job of transferring eight years of\narticles, photos and music to the new site. As\nI write this Coffee Break, I\u2019m in Anchorage. Della and I are staying with our\ndaughter, Danielle, and her husband, Anthony, (and, of course, their two boys,\nAnthony, Jr. and Joseph) during the transition period until we complete the\npurchase of a new home here. That will hopefully be completed by the end of\nJanuary. We just realized that this is the very first Christmas holiday season\nwe\u2019ve gotten to spend with Danielle, Anthony and family in the 20 years they\u2019ve\nbeen married. We\u2019ve had Christmas with most of our other children at different\ntimes, so this year was a treat for us.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Although\nwe will likely commute back and forth fairly frequently to the Yakima Valley\nfor the foreseeable future for continuing ministry there, the primary\nresponsibility for the fellowship has been transferred to Gary and Vicky\nHyndman. Gary & Vicky are a brother and sister in the Lord who have a rich\nand seasoned background and heritage in the Lord, and with whom we have had the\njoy of fellowship and communion for the past couple of years.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

One\nof the joys of being able to move on with freedom and liberty in the areas of\nministry God has called Della and me to \u2013 and especially the upcoming labors in\nthe arctic \u2013 is the backing, the unwavering prayer and intercessory support we\nhave from the families to whom the Lord has joined us during the past seven\nyears of ministry. There is a level of confidence that no words can properly\nexpress. We have a constant sense of having been joined by Holy Spirit in Ekklesia<\/span>, along with the sense of teamwork and koinonia<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span> that\ncomes with Ekklesia<\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

That\nsaid; let\u2019s get on with today\u2019s discussion. Here again is the passage from\nProverbs 31.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is<\/i> far\nabove rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he\nshall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of\nher life. She seeketh<\/span> wool, and flax, and worketh<\/span> willingly with her hands. She is like the\nmerchants\u2019 ships; she bringeth<\/span> her food from afar.\nShe riseth<\/span> also while it is yet night, and giveth<\/span> meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"<\/span><\/sup>She considereth<\/span> a field, and buyeth<\/span> it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth<\/span> a vineyard. She girdeth<\/span>\nher loins with strength, and strengtheneth<\/span> her arms.\nShe perceiveth<\/span> that her merchandise is<\/i> good:\nher candle goeth<\/span> not out by night. She layeth<\/span> her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the\ndistaff. She stretcheth<\/span> out her hand to the poor;\nyea, she reacheth<\/span> forth her hands to the needy. She\nis not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are<\/i> clothed\nwith scarlet. She maketh<\/span> herself coverings of\ntapestry; her clothing is<\/i> silk and purple.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth<\/span> among the elders of the land. She maketh<\/span> fine linen, and selleth<\/span> it<\/i>;\nand delivereth<\/span> girdles unto the merchant. Strength\nand honour<\/span> are<\/i> her clothing; and she\nshall rejoice in time to come. She openeth<\/span> her mouth\nwith wisdom; and in her tongue is<\/i> the law of kindness. She looketh<\/span> well to the ways of her household, and eateth<\/span> not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up,\nand call her blessed; her husband also<\/i>, and he praiseth<\/span>\nher.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest<\/span> them all. Favour<\/span> is<\/i> deceitful,\nand beauty is<\/i> vain: but<\/i> a woman that<\/i> feareth<\/span> the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the\nfruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\u2019ve\nsaid this before, and it bears repeating. For years \u2013 many years, in fact \u2013 I\nalways regarded this passage as a model of perfection for a wife, and one that\nwas more theoretical than practical. How in the world do you find a wife who\nmeets all of those qualifications?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Of\nCOURSE<\/span><\/b> <\/span>it was the Word of God! Of\ncourse<\/b> it had to be real because the Word clearly says so! But that\nwas a long<\/b> ways from reality for me \u2013 and just about every\nfriend or acquaintance I knew! That\u2019s no put down, by the way, of my Mother.\nThe Lord obviously designed her specifically for my Dad, and particularly, to\nflow with him in an extraordinary way in laboring under sometimes nearly\nimpossible conditions in the arctic. Mom was an unusual individual. She was a\none-of-a-kind, and everyone who ever knew her would agree! There simply wasn\u2019t\nanother one like her \u2013 but that\u2019s another topic, and I won\u2019t go there today.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Not\nuntil the Lord joined Della and me, and the years began to unfold in our\nrelationship, did I realize that this picture of the virtuous woman was more\nthan a theoretical ideal. It was and is a reality, and I\u2019ve had the privilege\nof living it and seeing it unfold in front of my eyes for nearly thirty years.\nIt made the Song of Solomon come alive to me and peeled away layers of\nrevelation in the Word which had been hidden.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Consider\nthe picture in the Song of Solomon. This is a slightly different kind of woman,\nbut from every standard of measure, she is without doubt a virtuous woman. I\u2019m\nquoting from my own amplified translation of the Hebrew metaphors that abound\nthroughout, and picking up in Chapter 1, verse 4:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

(1:4) (Much later as the radiant Shulamite<\/span>\nleaves the bedchamber, the young maidens gather around her.) "We have\nprepared a celebration -- a feast of wine -- for you" (As they all gather\ntogether, the obvious questions arise.) "What makes you so different from\nus? Why did He choose you? We have a real desire to know and understand so that\nif an opportunity arises for us, we will be ready! Your obvious display of love\ntogether gives us something to contemplate and consider. You have our sincere\nappreciation! We are genuinely blessed by what you have shown together.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(1:5) (Without hesitation, she responds.) "Although I am\nbeautiful and desirable for Him to look upon, the real answer goes much deeper.\nThere is a "search" that goes on in the heart of every person -- a\nseeking after one's counterpart -- for their "other self." I have\nspent my life searching for the man who is my "other self," knowing\ndeep inside that when I found him, an inner joining would occur -- a linking up\nto form a whole being instead of two partial beings. That inner joining\noccurred when we met and came to know each other. Just as our society views the\ntents of Kedar<\/span> as a symbol of strength, authority,\nloyalty to family, protectiveness, and the absence of pretense, so does my\nlord, the King, see built in me a commitment to those values. He sees in me a\nmobility, a flexibility, a willingness to pick up and go -- to follow him\nwherever he desires to go. In the same way that the curtains of his chamber shimmer\nand ripple in their color and transparent beauty, so also does Solomon see an\ninner transparency to me -- and a physical body which shimmers and ripples with\nmovement, to his great delight! This is what he looked for in a bride, and why\nhe chose me."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(1:6) "Because you normally expect a woman who is taken in\nmarriage to have been prepared indoors, away from the sun, with oils and spices\nand perfumes for several weeks or months, you look on me with shock because my\nskin is deeply tanned. Ignore that! My preparation came another way! Instead of\nscrubbing my skin, washing it, and rubbing it with oils and spices, my spirit\nand inner being have been scrubbed through the washing of trying experiences.\nFor years have I been in the furnace of affliction with my supposed\n"friends" and family. They hated me. They were angry and extremely\njealous of me. My family thought to rid themselves of my presence by forcing me\nto tend the vineyards. I was made vulnerable to wild animals, thieves and\nrobbers. They exposed me to the elements of nature: the storms, the wind and\nthe rain, and the hot sun. I became responsible for work my brothers were\nsupposed to do. Because I was responsible for keeping several vineyards, I\ncouldn't keep up with all of them. Consequently, my own vineyard fell into\nneglect, and my reputation went with it. The constant exposure to danger and\nhard work with the attendant problems, and watching God's provision and\ndeliverance through those years, developed something in my spirit more\nimportant to the King than scrubbed skin, olive oil and spices..."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nvirtuous woman is more than an exterior beauty. She is much more than what the\nworld today refers to as "a trophy wife." As we all know, physical\nlooks and youthful beauty seem to fade through the years for most of us.\nAppearance has its place, but of long lasting importance and significance is\ncharacter, integrity, honor and grace -- all of which exist in an atmosphere of\ntrue love. Along with that goes patience, commitment, initiative and a willingness\nto take on things that are greater than oneself. Now, add to all of that the\nwillingness and purpose of this virtuous woman to fit herself into the very\nmakeup and personality of her husband, to complete those areas of him that are\nlacking or insufficient, to round him out into a complete being.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

What\nam I describing, folks?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

We're\ntalking about the Bride of Christ!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\npassage from the Song of Solomon is descriptive of a preparation process that\ntakes place. Notice that the Shulamite<\/span> has been\nthrough the fire, in a manner of speaking. She has been exposed to every form\nof danger. Yet, she has not only tended to a business of her own (albeit\nfalling short because of her care of the business affairs of "friends and\nfamily"), she has ministered to the needs of the aforementioned friends\nand family and maintained a right spirit in the midst of everything.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

In\ncase you missed it, folks, that's pretty rare in the world today! She is an\nadmittedly beautiful woman to look at (Solomon wouldn't have chosen someone who\nwasn't), but more than that, she has the kind of beauty that shines out from\nwithin a character that has overcome obstacles, the storms of life, persecution\nand opposition on every hand. She exhibits a peace and tranquility and a\nself-confidence that comes from the constant presence of the Lord. Besides all\nthat, she has the self-possessed attributes that come from watching the\ndeliverance of the Lord and His protection over her no matter what she went\nthrough.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Now,\ngo back and take another look at the woman described in Proverbs 31.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\nwoman has the best interests of her husband and her husband's reputation at heart.\nShe looks after the needs of her children and even the household retainers --\nthe servants, the maids, etc. She's not afraid of hard work and puts "the\npedal to the metal" in order to ensure that her business endeavors are\nsuccessful. She is particular and tasteful in her choices. She has a vision for\nthe future -- not only for her own labors, but also for her husband's esteem\nand reputation in the community.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Out\nof her mouth comes grace and peace. Out of her spirit comes wisdom and\nunderstanding. Her counsel is sought after by her husband, her children, her\nfamily at large and the community of which she is a part. Her words are backed\nwith integrity.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

In\nspite of her personal successes and the praise she receives -- not only from\nher husband, but her children, her family in general, and the community at\nlarge -- she has a clear and uncompromised understanding that everything she\nhas and everything she does can be directly attributed to the favor of the\nLord.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Now!\nWe've been speaking somewhat in metaphors and similes, but let's bring this\ndown to earth a bit. This, my friends, is exactly what the King of Kings, our\nLord and coming Bridegroom, has been after in His Bride: the virtuous woman of\nProverbs 31.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Jesus\nChrist is coming back for a virtuous woman. Consider what John saw and wrote in\nRevelation 19:6-7:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and\nas the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings<\/span>,\nsaying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth<\/span>.\nLet us be glad and rejoice, and give honour<\/span> to Him:\nfor the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself\nready<\/u>."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Contrary\nto a lot of unfortunate and erroneous doctrine which has been preached\nthroughout the body of Christ for well over a century, the Bride of Christ is\nNOT going to be made ready WHEN Jesus returns. The Bride of Christ will have\nreadied herself so that Jesus will have something and someone to come back to\nand for<\/span>!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\nis no namby-pamby, Caesar-Milquetoast, quiet and meek lady! This is an overcomer<\/span>! This is a warrior! This is a lady who wields the\nsword of the Lord boldly, but carefully and accurately, tearing down the\nEnemy's strongholds. This is a virtuous woman whose integrity is that of the\nLord Himself! When she opens her mouth to speak, it is the authority of Jesus'\nvoice you hear.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

When\nshe ministers to the needy, she doesn't just "fix" the short-term\nproblem; she gets to the heart of the issues and brings the necessary healing\nand correction needed so that the "healed" can go forth in the power\nof that healing and duplicate what they've received. Whereas the virtuous woman\nof Proverbs 31 might well have been considered a "miracle worker"\nbecause she was able to juggle so many different things at the same time and\naccomplish them successfully, the virtuous woman Jesus is after is literally\nimmersed in Him, in His character and makeup, in His personality. She's not\njust "supernatural"; she is naturally supernatural, and\nsupernaturally natural!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

That's\nbecause she and He have been blended together into a complete being! You'll\nexcuse me, I trust, for using this personal example, but when people see Della,\nthey see me. When they see me, they see Della. It's simple, really. I'm me\nbecause of, and with Della. She is who she is because I am blended into her\npersonality and character. We complete each other.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

So\nit is with the virtuous woman prophesied of in Proverbs 31. She fulfils, she\ncompletes, she rounds out everything that Jesus is. She is the expansion of His\npersonality. She is the augmentation of His love, His authority, His grace and\nHis power! She is everything He has been looking for and waiting for these\nthousands of years since the first words of Creation were first spoken.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The\nvirtuous woman is the "what and why" Jesus suffered and died, and\nrose again destroying death in the process in order to win for Himself. Jesus\nis returning for this virtuous woman, but He's not coming today or tomorrow.\nThe Bride is yet to be completed, and there is no cry -- either among the\nBride, or coming from Holy Spirit -- which even begins to sound like,\n"Come, Lord Jesus." Nope!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

C'mon,\nFamily! It's time to wake up and realize that Jesus will not return until He\nhas a disciplined Bride who has conformed to His image -- not their religious\nimage of what they are supposed to be. This is a people who, when He comes,\nwill make Him proud, joyful, and absolutely pleased in every respect with what\nHe receives!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

See\nyou again, soon!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Bobby\nConnor is a brother in the Lord whom I first met back in the 1970's. He is a\nstrong and clear prophetic voice to the body of Christ in this hour. Here is a\nportion of a prophecy recently delivered by him<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

God's\nHoly Spirit is stirring His people! The King of kings is awakening warriors to\ntake their place, to join the victorious, joyful band of Believers known as the\novercomers<\/span>, those who stand strong for King Jesus and\ncarry His glory and love throughout the earth (1 John 5:4)!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nfollowers of this glorious King, each one of us is called and commissioned by\nthe Spirit of God to become mighty warriors of God. What is a warrior? One\nwho has experienced many battles and has defeated every enemy<\/span><\/b>. One who\nsucceeds without fail! The warrior, however, is not a common soldier. Warriors\ndemonstrate nobility and honor, bravery and fearlessness, and, above all,\nradical devotion to their Leader. Warriors will die for their king!<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\nmay well be asking, "Me? A mighty warrior?" Yes, you! Does this\ncalling sound impossible? It is! Is this beyond your strength and ability?\nAbsolutely!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Our\nidentity as warriors of God is only possible because we, in ourselves, are now\ndead! We have been crucified with Christ. We no longer live: our lives have\nbeen bought by His Blood at Calvary. Christ now lives as God's Warrior in and\nthrough us!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"I\nam crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth<\/span> in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I\nlive by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for\nme."<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>Galatians 2:20<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

During\nthese perilous, dark days, we can be fearless champions because Christ, living\nwithin and through us, has already "overcome the world" (see also\nJoshua 1:7). We don't have to overcome; Christ already has. He is the mighty\nLion of Judah! He is the King of kings! Remember His promise: "Greater\nis He that is in you, than he that is in the world" (<\/span><\/b>1 John 4:4). The\napostle Paul reminds us that we are NOW more than conquerors in and through\nChrist Jesus (Romans 8:37)<\/b>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
