Good Morning!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

It\nwas just 21 years ago this month that Holy Spirit downloaded into us a vivid\nprophetic picture of the calling of the Bride into the secret place (see Song\nof Solomon 2:13-14). In the midst of a time of spontaneous prophetic worship we\nheard and played (and recorded) music which we later compiled into a recording\ntitled The Secret Place.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\npast Sunday, in the midst of our worship gathering, as we were experiencing a\nvery intimate time of worship, I heard the Lord speak the following Word to me\nas clearly as I've ever heard Him:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"In\nthis past season, I've been calling the Bride to come away with Me, to spend\nintimate time with Me in our secret place, to get to know Me, My character, My\nmakeup, My way of thinking and acting. It has been a productive period for the\nBride. The time of trial and testing, the pressures, the weeding-out of all\nperformance-based thinking and the fires of purification have accomplished\nexactly what I've purposed and intended.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"Now\nthe time has come for Me to reveal My Glory in My Bride, and to show the world\nwhat I've accomplished in this company of chosen, called-out and responsive\npeople. It's time for the so-called "church" to see the difference\nbetween religion and relationship. It's time for the world to see the reality\nof Who I AM in my people, and who they are in Me!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

"The\nharvest begins!"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\nreally is what I've been focusing on in this series on The New Onoma<\/span>. My objective in sharing these pictures is to show\nyou exactly what the Bride of Christ has been being transformed into --\nmetamorphosed, if you please -- so that the very character, the nature, the\npersonality, the true authority and power of the Lord Jesus Christ -- AS\nHE HAS WORKED HIMSELF IN US<\/i><\/b> -- can be put on display in sharp contrast\nto the spirit of antichrist.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

I've\nsaid this in the past, but I'll repeat it again. The spirit of antichrist is\nnot simply some individual (or individuals) setting up in direct opposition and\nrebellion to the Lord Jesus Christ. The spirit of antichrist is a false,\ndeceptive, counterfeit which presents itself as truth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\nspirit invaded the body of Christ during the first century, and has been alive\nand well in many forms, just as John testified in his first general epistle\n(see I John 2:18). It preaches a watered-down "gospel" which denies\nthe very character and personality of the Lord Jesus Christ and subverts the\nBridegroom's purpose to have a Bride in His image and likeness alive and well\nin the earth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

That\nsaid, let's get right back into our discussion as we resume our look at the\nSeven Spirits of God -- those same Seven Spirits which are part and parcel of\nHis character and makeup.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

We\nfinished up our last Coffee Break by stating that, in the realm of the Soul,\nthere is a fear which attacks relationships, and it is described in Scripture\nas The Fear of Man. This fear is the greatest hindrance to genuine fellowship,\nand it -- perhaps more than any other spirit of fear -- impedes the growth of\nbelievers by interfering with the development of trust. The greatly needed\ncapacity to expose our weaknesses without fear or intimidation is one of the\nprimary purposes of the Paraklete<\/span> during the\npreparation and processing which occurs within Ekklesia<\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The\nFear of Man attempts to subvert this work of the Holy Spirit. The Fear of Man\nis also responsible for manipulation, for witchcraft, for pride and arrogance,\nfor rebellion, and for a host of activities designed to keep "man in\ncontrol." All of the extremes<\/u><\/b> (and I emphasize this aspect)\nof the various so-called "rights" movements (e.g., Women\u2019s Rights,\nRacial Equality, the Labor Movement, etc., etc., etc.) are born out of this\nfear.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Where\nthe Spirit is concerned, agape<\/span><\/i><\/b>\nis the only love which can function. It is important to note that it is\nimpossible to love with agape<\/span><\/i><\/b>\nby an act of one's will<\/u> or determination. It is a supernatural love\nempowered through an intimate and extremely personal relationship with Jesus\nChrist. Just as worship can only occur at the level of the spirit<\/span> <\/span>("God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship\nHim in spirit and in truth")<\/span>\n<\/span>in\nthe place of communion with the Lord, so also does agape<\/span><\/i><\/b> become functional in that place of\ncommunion.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

By\ncontrast, phileo<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\ncannot function within the realm of the spirit because it is not a spirit-based\nlove. As you will shortly see -- if in fact you do not already see it -- Jesus'\nstatement that,<\/span> <\/span>"By this shall all\nmen know that you are my disciples if you<\/span>\n<\/span>have<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span><\/i>one for another,"<\/span>\n<\/span>signifies\na demonstrable and visible proof of that intimate love-relationship with Him.\nBecause agape<\/span><\/i><\/b> is the very\nsubstance of His onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>,\nour living and operating in agape<\/span><\/i><\/b>\nbecomes the most living and tangible witness that we are One with Him.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The\nFear of Evil is a master spirit which functions at the level of our\nspirit-existence. It is the dominant force behind religion, and the spirit\nwhich works hand in glove with The Fear of Man to keep the structured church\nsystem with its organizations, titles and offices intact. It was and is the\npower of Babylon.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The\nFear of Evil is the father of the Spirit of Rejection. It is the spirit which\nturns men and women into cowards. It is the spirit which -- more than any other\n-- intimidates God's people and keeps them from asserting the authority given\nthrough the onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\nof Jesus Christ to<\/span> dethrone the<\/span><\/span>\n<\/span>"rulers of the darkness of this world."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Consider\nagain, therefore, John's statement that,<\/span>\n<\/span>"Perfect<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span>casts out all fear."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Agape<\/span><\/i><\/b>\n<\/span>is\nTHE<\/b> authority over The Fear of Death, The Fear of Man, and The Fear of\nEvil. When agape<\/span><\/i><\/b> truly\nfunctions as the essence of our onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>, there is no fear which can\nremain and\/or stand before it. This being the case, you can easily understand\nwhy the Bride -- when free from fear -- becomes such a deadly threat to the\ndominions of Satan.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Because<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i><\/b>\n<\/span>was\nand is the makeup and character of Jesus Christ, He could without hesitation\nsay,<\/span> <\/span>"The prince of this\nworld cometh, and he hath nothing in me."<\/span>\n<\/span>(John\n14:30 KJV) It wasn't a boast! It was a simple testimony of His existence -- His<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So\nfar, we've covered the first four of the Seven Spirits of God. (In the last\nCoffee Break, I mistakenly referred to the Spirit of Knowledge and of the Fear\nof the Lord as the third of the seven spirits instead of being the fourth, a\ncommon mistake made by many because of viewing just those Spirits of God\nmentioned in Isaiah 11.)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Before\nwe take up the fifth of the Seven Spirits, let's review the overall picture once\nagain:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

1.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Judgment and Burning<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>(Isaiah 4:4)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

2.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Isaiah 11:2)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

3.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Counsel and Might<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Isaiah 11:2) -- referred to by the\napostle Paul as: The Spirit of Power<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

4.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Knowledge and of The Fear of the\nLord<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Isaiah\n11:2) also referred to by Paul as: The Spirit of a Sound Mind<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

5.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Grace and Supplications<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Zechariah 12:10)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

6.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The Spirit of Truth<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(see John 15:26)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

7.<\/span><\/b> <\/span>The Spirit of Glory<\/span><\/b>\n<\/span>(see I Peter 4:14)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nnoted, the fifth of the Seven Spirits is that of which Zechariah prophesies:\nthe Spirit of Grace and Supplications.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

When\nZechariah prophesied concerning the coming of Jesus Christ as the Messiah, he\nsaid,<\/span> <\/span>"And I will pour\nupon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of\nGrace and Supplications: and they shall look upon me......."<\/span> <\/span>(Zechariah\n12:10 KJV)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The\nHebrew word, chen<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>,<\/b>\n(pronounced, khane<\/span>) which is derived from chanan<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>,<\/span><\/b> is both "grace," and\n"supplications<\/span>." It represents:<\/span> <\/span>grace, graciousness, to\nhave mercy upon, to make entreaty or supplication on behalf of<\/span><\/u><\/b>.<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

It\nis easy to see this facet of the onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span> of Jesus Christ. In Hebrews\n7:25 we read,<\/span> <\/span>"Wherefore He is\nable to save, heal, deliver, and make whole all those who approach unto God\nthrough and by Him, always living to intercede for them."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

To\nthis we add Paul's statement (Ephesians 2:8),<\/span>\n<\/span>"For by grace you are saved, healed, delivered and made\nwhole through faith; and this is not of yourselves; it is the gift of\nGod."<\/span> <\/span>(my translations)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\nis perhaps the best known aspect of agape<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/b> It is also one of the most preached aspects\nof Jesus' character and makeup. Were it not for His grace, none of us would be\nhaving this discussion. We generally think of grace as "unmerited\nfavor." To some extent this is true, although grace goes far beyond the\nsimple extension of His favor to an unworthy people.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The\nSpirit of Grace and Supplications was at work even before the foundations of\nthe earth were set in place. The Bridegroom well knew that the large majority\nof the human race, though given the opportunity to choose and enter into an\nintimate relationship with Him, would for the most part reject His wooing and\nbeckoning.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Yet\nHe prepared a plan which would execute His grace to provide an opportunity for\ntheir deliverance from the Serpent. The Spirit of Grace and Supplications was\nat work even before Adam and Eve exited the Garden, preparing the path, and\nsetting in place the necessary foundations for the redemption of their seed.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Grace\nis something which is not integral to unregenerate human nature. In fact, as\nyou look at the human race today, grace is an absolute rarity. It is the polar\nopposite of the \u201cme-first\u201d mentality that pervades society. In the work-a-day\nbusiness world of this generation, grace is stomped under foot as a sign of\nweakness, and a mark of timidity, and viewed as a plague to those who consider\n\u201cthe bottom line\u201d as the epitome of success.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

With\nthe ups and downs of the world\u2019s \u2014 and particularly our nation\u2019s \u2014 economies,\ngrace is the supposed antithesis of prosperity. Corporations rise and fall at\nthe whim of officers who fear the loss of their positions and credibility in\nthe business world should they fail to act decisively in firing hundreds or\nthousands (and even tens of thousands) of employees at the first sign of\ndownturn. Often, with scarcely a moment\u2019s notice, families find themselves\nruthlessly cast adrift financially. Decisions are made by deal-makers lacking\nin ethics, consumed by their own self-importance and greed.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\npresence of grace, therefore, in the character and makeup of God\u2019s people is\none of the marks that sets them apart from a people and society under the\ndomination of the Beast.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Supplication\nis the \u201cflip side\u201d to the Spirit of Grace. It is putting feet to grace. Grace,\nin and of itself, is passive. Supplication makes it a force to be reckoned\nwith. Supplication makes grace a functioning reality.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\nme explain.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nApostle Paul wrote in Hebrews 7:25 (we assume him to be the writer),<\/span> <\/span>\u201cWherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that\ncome unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth<\/span> to\nmake intercession<\/u> for them.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Ezekiel\nuttered the cry of the Lord when he said,<\/span>\n<\/span>\u201cAnd I sought for a man among them, that should make up the\nhedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy\nit: but I found none.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Intercession\nis integral to supplication. Grace impels the Lord to intercede on behalf of\nthose who come before the Father. Sin causes people to be unworthy to stand\nbefore the Father or to bring their requests. Grace bridges the gap. Grace\ntakes the unworthy individual and makes them righteous before the Lord. Jesus\nChrist, therefore, substitutes His righteousness by grace for the\nunrighteousness of the unworthy individual.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Originally\nintended to be God\u2019s people in the earth, representative of Him, His nature,\nand personal relationship, Israel was supposed to demonstrate the righteousness\nand mercy of the Lord God to the world, as well as His intention to redeem\nmankind. When the nation fell into adultery by chasing after false gods, and\nwas contaminated with and compromised by the spirits of the seven nations they\nwere commanded to drive out of the land of promise, during a period of some\nnine centuries the Lord raised up leaders and intercessors who cried out on\nIsrael\u2019s behalf. That supplication and intercession resulted in bondage being\nbroken and some modicum of relationship restored between Israel and God.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Ezekiel\nprophesied during Israel\u2019s final captivity. As he saw and heard the heart of a\nweeping Bridegroom seeking after his wayward Bride, he cried out<\/span> <\/span>\u201cI sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge,\nand stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but\nI found none.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Even\nin the days of the Mosaic Law, with all of its rigidity and penalties, the\nheart of the Lord was inclined towards grace on behalf of a people worthy of\ndeath under the Law. Though Israel was suffering the consequences of her sin,\nher adultery, her compromise, the Lord still sought for someone who would\nintercede with Him so that He could once again in grace, take away the penalty.\nHence, Ezekiel\u2019s heart-cry,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cI found none.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\nsaid, it is important that we remember The Spirit of Grace and Supplications\nworks toward the fulfillment of the Plan of the Godhead, ordained,\norchestrated, and set in motion before time began. There is nothing sloppy\nabout the mercy of His grace. It is precise, and yet encompassing. Everything\nwhich unfolds in the development of our lives and our relationship with Jesus\nChrist has been planned and ordained so that He can receive His purchased\ninheritance -- a Bride who in every respect fulfills His<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>. The Spirit of Grace\nand Supplications MUST, therefore, be a unified part of our<\/span> <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Once\nagain, we're running long, and I'm not quite finished with this discussion.\nWe'll resume next week.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
