ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: A NEW ONOMA, Part 14<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

April 29, 2013<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Rich Warren and I have just returned from a three-day FGBMFI\nmen's retreat where we led worship for roughly 120 men. This was our third year\nof being involved with this particular retreat, and it is safe to say that we\nsaw and experienced a dimension of the presence of the Lord in worship the like\nof which we've never seen in a corporate setting like this.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

You know that Holy Spirit is at work when you have a variety of\ndifferent individuals tell you that they visibly saw demons fleeing the place\nin the midst of the worship. You know that God is at work when His Glory is so\nthick that it rests like a huge blanket over the assembled group, and people's\nlives are transformed, men receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and\nothers receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit -- all in the midst of worship.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

We've\nshared this before, but what we do is to allow ourselves to become the\ninstruments that Holy Spirit plays. My guitar and Rich's bass are nothing more\nthan extensions of ourselves. We become the instruments that are played. The\nsound of the Lord goes forth bringing healing, deliverance, restoration and\nwholeness to those who will hear His voice and respond. We don't always sing.\nMuch of the time we prophesy with our instruments. People see visions. At times\nthey are transported into the heavenlies<\/span>. Others hear\nthe voice of Holy Spirit speaking into their spirits ministering life and\nbreaking bondages. The music becomes the voice of Father bringing His authority\nagainst the power of the Enemy.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

We've\nhad the addition of Craig Manley on drums, along with three young lads from\nHeritage Christian High School who've joined us with their instruments. Every\ntime you add another musician to the mix -- normally, at least -- you add\nanother layer of complexity and another individual (or individuals) who must\nrespond and play the same heretofore brand new music they've never played, heard\nor seen before, and have no sheet music in front of them.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

As\nI noted in sharing with someone else this afternoon, it's akin to having a\ngroup of people all speaking in tongues at the same time -- the difference that\neveryone is speaking the same tongue at the same time, and no one has a clue as\nto what comes next. In this case the tongues become the music that we've never\nheard before, never played before, and have no idea whatever where we're going\nwith it. Nevertheless it literally flows like a river with the presence of the\nLord.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Anyway,\nGood Morning! Pour yourself a 16-ounce cup of that java and let's get started\nwith today's discussion.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

6.<\/span><\/b> <\/span>The doctrine of \u201cEternal\nJudgment\u201d<\/b><\/span> <\/span>is the sixth stone in the foundation of\nour new onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/b> We have already talked about the Spirit of\nJudgment and Burning as being one of the seven spirits of the onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span> of\nJesus Christ. Just as it is foundational to His character and makeup, so must\nit also become foundational to ours.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Because of His unique perspective, and\n ability to see across time from beginning to end, He makes (and has made)\n judgments which will stand through eternity.<\/span>\n <\/span>\u201cThe judgments of the Lord,\u201d<\/span>\n <\/span>David\n sang,<\/span> <\/span>\u201care true, and righteous\n altogether.\u201d<\/span> <\/span>(Psalm 19:9)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

He\nhas pre-judged (from our perspective in a time-space world) His Bride, and all\nthose individuals who corporately consist, as righteous. In the same manner, He\nhas pre-judged all those who have accepted Him as Lord and Saviour<\/span>,\nbut have not (or will not) overcome all things in order to become a part of His\nBride. Even though they have not been incorporated into His Bride, the\ninvitation has gone forth to them to attend the Wedding Feast as His guests and\nfriends.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Those\nwho have refused Jesus Christ, those who have rejected His claim as the Bridegroom,\nthose who have rejected His payment of their dowry, and those who have\ncontinued their willful walk of agreement with Satan\u2019s lies have all likewise\nbeen judged. Their judgment is as final and eternal as those who are a part of\nHis Bride.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

In\nwhat I sometimes call \u201cThe Letter to the Bride\u201d (better known as The\nRevelation), John graphically describes the unfolding of events which we have\nall been living through. He underscores the judgment of the Lord to all who\naccept the thought processes of the Beast (which we understand and define as\nthat system and power by which the world operates in this present age), or\nfunction and do business after the manner of the Beast (i.e., take<\/span> <\/span>\u201cthe mark of the Beast\u201d<\/span>\n<\/span>in\ntheir forehead or right hand).<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

That\njudgment is the lake of fire. John likewise speaks of the judgment of the\nAntichrist (that pervasive spirit of humanism which saturates our society\ntoday), and those who succumb to that spirit. Likewise do we read of the\njudgment given to that great whore, the spirit of Jezebel, which has led or\ndriven so many of God\u2019s people to destruction. And on and on it goes.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

So,\nhow is all of this foundational to our onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>? The judgments -- the decrees\nof the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ -- must be so integrated into our character and\nmakeup that we live them daily. His judgment towards His people is mercy and\ntruth. His judgment towards His Bride is love and power. His judgment of those\nwicked spirits (and their father, the devil) which permeate today\u2019s world is\nimprisonment and containment in a bottomless pit for the next thousand years, a\nshort span to be let loose to try the generation of that age, and then final\ndestruction.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

For\nthe Bride of Christ, those judgments must be ingrained into the very essence of\nher existence. She must live \u2013 today<\/b> \u2013 His judgment and authority in the\nrealm of the spirit. The millennium to come is only the staging ground for\neternity!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now\ndo you understand that these are only the very basic foundations for\nrelationship with Jesus Christ? Now do you see why there must be a \u201cgoing on to\nthe completion?\u201d These fundamentals set the stage for relationship with Him,\nbut they are not<\/b> that relationship.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Isaiah\nprophesied of the onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\nof Jesus Christ, saying,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cThe government shall be\nupon His shoulder, and His shem<\/span> (<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>)<\/span> <\/span>shall be Wonderful<\/span>\n<\/span>(Pele<\/span><\/i> <\/b>--<\/span><\/span> <\/span>miracle<\/span><\/b>),<\/span> <\/span>Counselor <\/span>(Ya.ats<\/span><\/b> --<\/span>\n<\/span>advisor, resolver, deliberator<\/span><\/b>), <\/span>the Mighty God<\/span> <\/span>(Gibbowr<\/i><\/b><\/span>\n<\/b>-- {see previous discussion of g<\/span>ebuwrah<\/i><\/b><\/span>}<\/span><\/b><\/span> --<\/span> <\/span>the<\/span><\/b> <\/span>champion\nwarrior<\/span><\/b>),<\/span> <\/span>the Everlasting<\/span> <\/span>(<\/span>Ad<\/span><\/i> \u2013 <\/span>perpetual<\/span>) <\/span>Father<\/span> <\/span>(Ab<\/i><\/span><\/span> \u2013 <\/span>founder, the progenitor, the ancestor: hence, the source of\ncreation<\/span><\/b>),<\/span> <\/span>the Prince<\/span> <\/span>(Sar<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/span> \u2013 <\/span>the head, the source of all dominion<\/span><\/b>)<\/span> <\/span>of Peace<\/span> <\/span>(Shalom<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span> \u2013<\/span><\/i> <\/span>health,\nwholeness, soundness, safety: and, as a direct consequence thereof, peace<\/span><\/b>). (See Isaiah 9:6)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

No\nprophecy could have better underscored what Jesus manifested during the years\nof His public ministry as well as the two millennia that have passed since. His\nshem<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\nis<\/b> Miracle. There is no aspect of the natural realm over which He does\nnot exercise complete dominion. The laws of science as we know them -- the laws\nof physics \u2013 are subject to His will and His word. Jesus was and is naturally\nsupernatural! So are we to be.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

His\nonoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\nis<\/span><\/b> the Spirit of Counsel and Might!\nJesus described Himself as the first comforter, and then said that He was\nsending<\/span> <\/span>\u201canother comforter\u201d<\/span> <\/span>(Paraklete<\/span>) whom we have come to know as Holy Spirit. We are\nboth recipients and bearers of that spirit of counsel, that ability to resolve,\nthat ability to deliberate in every situation, not to mention the ability to\nwar in the spirit as champions.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Jesus\ninfuriated the religious people (the Pharisees and Sadducees) by saying to\nthem, <\/span>\u201cBefore Abraham was, I AM!\u201d<\/span>\n<\/span>In\nso saying, He made clear that His existence was perpetual. But He was more than\nperpetual: He was and is the founder, the progenitor, the source of creation!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

It\nwas Jesus who spoke the words of creation (witness the mathematical\ndemonstration of His number, 8-8-8, incorporated into the phraseology,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cAnd God said\u2026..\u201d<\/span>\n<\/span>throughout\nthe Genesis account), and it was He who fathered Adam, forming him by His hand\nfrom the dust of the very same earth He had spoken into existence. In like\nmanner, Jesus Christ \u2013 as our Bridegroom \u2013 has fathered us, has brought about\nour ability to exist in Him, with Him, and for Him as His counterpart, His\nco-equal, His beloved Bride! And He has seated us with Himself, giving into our\nonoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\n<\/b>that same creative power which went forth by His Word!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nHim is all dominion. In Him is all health. In Him is all wholeness. There is\nnothing about Jesus Christ that is not perfection. In Him is soundness. In Him\nis perfect safety. He is, therefore, the Prince of Peace \u2013 the King of Glory \u2013\nthe great I AM! He is the Alpha<\/i><\/b> and the Omega<\/i><\/b> \u2013 the\nAb<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\n(pronounced, awb<\/i><\/span>) and the Achariyth<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span> <\/i>(pronounced, ahk.ar.eeth<\/i><\/span>)<\/span>\n\u2013 <\/i><\/span>the beginning, the end, and the future<\/span><\/b>!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

He\nis the originator, and He is the reward. No wonder He could speak the word, and\ndisease would flee. No wonder He could speak the word and storms would cease.\nNo wonder He could say,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cI AM the Way, The Truth,\nand The Life.\u201d<\/span> <\/span>He was. He is. It is His onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/b> And it must be ours!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

And\nby the Plan He set in motion before time began, in spite of all that Jesus\nChrist is, yet has He been incomplete. It sounds like a contradiction, doesn\u2019t\nit? Under any normal circumstances, and unless it be revealed to you by Holy\nSpirit, it is impossible to see Jesus Christ as anything but complete. Yet, He\nhas been anything but sub-standard.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Have\nyou begun to understand this new onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span> \u2013 this new name? It is new because\nit has never been up to this time. It is a new onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>,<\/span><\/b>\nand though envisioned by our Bridegroom and shown to us in the realm of Holy\nSpirit, it has always been a Plan and a promise of Father to the Son.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Father\npromised to the Son that on the day of His reward, He would receive a Bride who\nwould complete and fulfill Him \u2013 a Bride who would have become Him, even as He\nhad become her. And thus it is unfolding before us.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Hence,\nthe promise of the Son, the Bridegroom, to that people called out and formed unto\nHimself, the Bride:<\/span> <\/span>"Him that overcometh<\/span> will I make a pillar in the temple of my God,\nand he shall go no more out; and I will write upon him the onoma<\/u><\/span>\nof my God, and the onoma<\/u><\/span> of the city of my\nGod, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God; and I\nwill write upon him my new onoma<\/span><\/u>!"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\nis a conditional promise, made to the overcomer<\/span> \u2013 not\nto those who seek to escape tribulation, not to those who run from the fire,\nnot to those whose thoughts are focused on \u201cthe rapture,\u201d and escaping from the\n\u201cwrath to come.\u201d It is a promise made to those who rise above their\nafflictions, the tribulation of this day, and the terrors which are befalling\nthe wicked generation in which we live. It is the promise to those who have\novercome the seven nations \u2013 the principal ruling spirits of the Enemy.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

It\nis a promise made to those who speak Life and Truth in the midst of increasing\ndeath, those who bring health and mercy to the afflicted, those who live agape<\/span><\/i><\/b>, might and soundness. It is made to\nthose who overcome all and endure all until they be presented to the Bridegroom\nby the Paraklete<\/span>: those who can say in Truth to Him,\n\u201cAll that I am is yours. I am One with you, and you are One with me. We are\ncomplete!\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

This\nis not a boast. It is not being presumptuous. It is an absolute necessity, and\nJesus Christ has so ordained it. While we certainly are beneficiaries of this\nreward, His completion in and with us is His reward. This Plan was set in\nmotion by Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for their sake!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Do\nyou understand the significance of this promise to the overcomer<\/span>?\nIt is multifaceted and all-encompassing. First, the promise is that we will\nbecome a<\/span> <\/span>\u201cpillar in the temple of\nmy God, and he shall go no more out.\u201d<\/span>\n<\/span>This\nstatement is a parallel to some phraseology used by Matthew. Matthew, being an\northodox Jew by birth and upbringing, used a typical Jewish metaphor when he\nquoted Jesus, saying,<\/span> <\/span>"shall enter into\nthe kingdom of the heavens.<\/u>"<\/span>\n<\/span>John,\non the other hand, uses a Graecism<\/span> to identify the\nvery same thing:<\/span> <\/span>"...make a pillar\nin the temple of my God<\/u>..."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

They\nboth identify "rulership<\/i><\/span> in the\nhouse of the Lord.<\/i>"<\/b> They both illustrate becoming part and parcel\nof the dwelling place of the Lord. And this promise is to "the overcomer<\/span>." For those who have learned to rule in the\nmidst of every situation in this present age, a new dimension of rulership<\/span> lies ahead.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nvery next part of this promise is,<\/span>\n<\/span>"...and I will write upon him the onoma<\/span>\nof my God..."<\/span> <\/span>The phrase, <\/span>"I will write upon him,"<\/span>\n<\/span>is\nunique to middle-eastern thought, and is found in the Greek, Hebrew, Arabic,\nand Chaldean languages. It means:<\/span>\n<\/span>to strike a visible mark with the identifying characteristics<\/span><\/b> <\/span>of<\/span><\/b> <\/span>a person, place, or\nthing.<\/span><\/b> <\/span>In this case, the identifying\ncharacteristics are seen as<\/span>,<\/span> <\/span>"the onoma<\/span> of my God."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But\nthat is not the end of the promise.<\/span>\n<\/span>"..And (I will write upon him) the onoma<\/span>\nof the city of My God, which is New Jerusalem..."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

From\nthe time of Shem, the son of Noah, and throughout the history of the nation of\nIsrael, Jerusalem has been a picture of the Bride. Shem initially established\nthis as the city of Salem, building it as a citadel \u2013 a place of protection and\nhonor for his bride. Because of Shem\u2019s extraordinary stance and reputation as a\nrepresentative of righteousness, the Canaanite peoples who dwelled in the land,\nreferred to him as Malkiy-Tsedeq<\/span>, \u201cThe King of\nRighteousness.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

Anglicized\nin modern translations as \u201cMelchizedek,\u201d Shem demonstrated the heart of the\nLord for His Bride with Salem. Hundreds of years after Shem\u2019s death, David took\nthe city away from the Jebusites<\/span>, who had renamed it,\nJebus<\/span>, in honor of their ancestor (one of the sons of\nCanaan). He called the city \u201cJerusalem,\u201d and immediately set up his tabernacle\nwith the Ark of the Covenant on Mount Moriah<\/span>. He\nthereupon established a picture of the Bride which has stood throughout the\nages.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

John\u2019s\npicture of the New Jerusalem was a picture seen in the spirit. The natural city\nof Jerusalem represented a physical picture of that which has been being\nestablished in the spirit by the Bridegroom. What John saw was the Bride of\nChrist coming down from Heaven. He saw Father presenting Jesus with His\nlong-awaited Bride and counterpart. The promise, therefore, to the overcomer<\/span> was that they would be incorporated into the\nBride.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The\nfinal phase of this promise was,<\/span>\n<\/span>\u201cand I will write upon him my new onoma<\/i><\/span>.\u201d<\/span> <\/span>And\nhere we are! This has been what it is all about: our change, and His change. Together,\nwe make up one new being!<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The\ntransformation has resulted in a people whose entire existence revolves around\nwhat the Lord desires of them at that moment<\/b> \u2013 a people who are immersed\nin Him. This is a people who eat from "The Tree of Life" --\n"life" being, in this case, the living presence<\/b> of the Lord\nJesus Christ. That is a tangible, definable, discernible, quantifiable reality,\nexperienced in the realm of the Spirit \u2013 one which we have all tasted of and\nexperienced in true worship!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

With\nthis completion of His onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>,\nHis character and makeup, comes a new dimension for all of us \u2013 a future\nradically unlike that which we have known. With that future awaits an expanse\nof rulership<\/span> as spiritual beings which transcends the\nnatural, physical realm \u2013 and yet encompasses it.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The\nNew Onoma<\/i><\/span> <\/i>is for the overcomer<\/span> \u2013 and the overcomer<\/span>\nonly!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

My\nbeloved brothers and sisters: for Jesus\u2019 sake, and for yours, let nothing stand\nin your way! Let there be no whim of the flesh, no attachment of the past, no\nafflicting or tormenting spirit, no vain imagination of any kind prevent you\nfrom being that overcomer<\/span>. Let us together go on to\nthe completion.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

When\nPaul was writing to the Philippians, he put it like this:<\/span> <\/span>\u201cI press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which also\nI was laid hold of<\/span> by Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

\u201cBrethren, (Sisters), I count not myself to have apprehended, or\nto have laid hold of that total completeness. But this one thing I do:\nforgetting the past, and reaching forth unto those promises and goals which are\nbefore, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in\nChrist Jesus (i.e., being One with Him)."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

\u201cLet us, therefore, as many as be perfect and complete, have\nthis attitude; and if in anything your attitude differs, God shall reveal even\nthis unto you."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n
