 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Rich\nand DeAngela<\/span> Warren have been a part of our\nfellowship and our ministry for nearly seven years.Last<\/span>\nweekend, their son, Seth, got married in a setting that I think most couples\nwould envy.DeAngela's<\/span> dad, Leroy Blankenship (I've\ntalked about him on numerous occasions during the past years), officiated at\nthe wedding.We<\/span> might as well have been in the Garden\nof Eden.The<\/span> beauty of the waterfall in the background\nand surrounded by lush greenery provided a spectacular and perfect setting.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Leroy\nwas his usual poetic self as he described the first union between Adam and Eve,\nand at the conclusion of the ceremony, he sang an original love song to both\nbridegroom and bride.All<\/span> I can say is, WOW!!!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nI wrapped up the last Coffee Break I'd thought to move on to another topic, but\nthe Holy Spirit reminded me that I'd missed sharing one of the most important\naspects of discipling<\/span>: the imparting of the\nanointing, the transfer of the mantle that God has laid upon the one who is\nmentoring, teaching, sharing and discipling<\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let's\nbegin again today with the command Jesus has given:<\/span> <\/span>"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.Go<\/u><\/span> therefore and make disciples of all the\nnations<\/u>, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy\nSpirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with\nyou always, even to the end of the age."<\/span><\/span>(Matthew 28:18-20\nNASB)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There\nis so much wrapped up in Jesus' command that it is almost hard to know where to\nbegin.He<\/span> starts off by saying that all authority --\nmake sure you get this -- ALL AUTHORITY in Heaven and on earth has been given\nto Him.I<\/span> don't mean to be redundant but\n"ALL" literally means that there is no part of the authority or\ndominion in any realm, earthly, natural, spiritual, emotional, mental, of the\nheavenly realm or dimension, AND the realm of the demonic over which Jesus\nlacks the final say.What's<\/span> more, He has not just the\nauthority, but the power to back up that authority.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He\nfollows up that preface to His command by saying, "Go ye\ntherefore!"In other words, "Because I have all authority, I'm\ncommissioning and empowering you to go forth on my behalf as my personal\nrepresentative; and you have the full backing of Heaven to do everything I've\ncommanded you."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"Everything\nI've commanded you" takes in a lot of territory, folks!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Remember\nwhen Jesus sent the 70 out, two by two, and told them to<\/span> <\/span>"heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast\nout demons"<\/span>?Then\nJesus said to them,<\/span> <\/span>"freely ye have\nreceived, freely give."<\/span>(Matthew 10:8)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Take a quick look at\nMark 16:15-18:<\/span> And He said to them, <\/span>\u201cGo into all the world and preach, declare and proclaim the\ngospel, the good news of the Kingdom, to all of creation.<\/span>(see also Matthew\n24:14)<\/span>He who actively believes [and puts into action My Word] and has\nbeen baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved [and opposed mentally,\nemotionally and spiritually] shall be condemned.These<\/span>\nsigns will accompany those who actively believe and put into action: in My name\n[in the very character and makeup, the essence of who I AM] they will cast out\ndemons, they will speak with new tongues; they will take on wily, deceitful men\nwhose purpose is to sway and deter them through clever arguments [and defeat\nthem], and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will\nlay hands on the sick, and they will recover and be completely restored.\u201d<\/span>(My translation and\namplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

[A quick note before\nwe continue: The phrase which occurs at the beginning of verse 18 -- "They\nshall take up serpents" -- is a common Hebrew metaphor, and it means to\ntake on those people who try to deceive or sway through clever arguments or manipulation.The<\/span> particular phraseology which occurs here\nmakes very clear that Jesus is giving those who believe<\/i><\/b> the\nauthority, the power, the wisdom AND the anointing to combat and defeat such\narguments and\/or manipulation.]<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Both Matthew and Mark\nuse the expanded reference to "the Gospel" by clarifying it this way\non four separate occasions: "the Gospel of the Kingdom."You see, the\nGospel is not simply some good news of salvation through Jesus Christ; it is\nthe news that we have access to and available citizenship in a Kingdom -- a\nsphere and a dimension of living -- which is superior to, and has authority\nover, all the kingdoms of this natural world.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus, when Jesus\nbegins His covenant promise to "those who believe," He instructs us\nto preach, declare and proclaim the good news -- the angelic tidings -- of His\nKingdom to all of creation!That's<\/span><\/span><\/b>\nmore than just preaching to people, folks!That's<\/span> the\nexercise of Kingdom authority over all that is this earthly realm.That<\/span>\nincludes the ground we walk on.That<\/span> includes the\ntrees, the plants, the vegetation -- the agricultural realm, if you please.That<\/span> includes the animal kingdom, birds, marine\nlife, bugs, etc.That<\/span> includes the weather.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Get it?ALL<\/b><\/span> OF CREATION!<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We are instructed to\npreach, proclaim, declare, prophesy, decree -- to enact by the release of the\nspoken Word -- the Kingdom of God in, upon and throughout all the earth!That<\/span> doesn't mean we get to say anything that pops\ninto our heads.This<\/span> only works when we speak that<\/span> <\/span>rhema<\/span><\/span> <\/span>--\nthat same Word we first heard from Holy Spirit -- which is coming (present\ntense -- not past tense) out of the mouth of God!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

One cannot receive\nthat rhema<\/span> unless one has his or her ears attuned to\nhear what Holy Spirit is saying.And<\/span>......one cannot\neven hear in the realm of the Spirit unless they spend time in that realm.When<\/span> you spend time with the Lord, there is a change\nthat takes place in you, your nature, your character, the way you behave, the\nway you think.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Notice what happened\nwhen Peter and John began to do the works that Jesus did<\/span>."Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and\nperceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled<\/span>;\nand they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus<\/u>."<\/span>(Acts 4:13)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When Jesus sent forth\nHis disciples to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out\ndemons and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, there was an impartation that went\nwith the disciples.What<\/span> do I mean by this?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There was a transfer\nthat took place in the Spirit realm.When<\/span> Jesus sent\nthem forth, He commissioned them.With<\/span> that\ncommissioning came an anointing.With<\/span> that anointing\ncame an empowering.With<\/span> the empowering came a mantle,\na covering, a transfer of divine authority and power to accomplish what they\nhad been commissioned to perform.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let me use some\npersonal experience for the sake of illustration.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Without retracing a\nlot of ground that I've already discussed in prior posts, I grew up with angels.They<\/span> were my early companions.I<\/span>\nsaw them on an almost daily basis for three years.When<\/span>\nJesus appeared at my bedside early one morning and began to lay out His plan\nand purpose for my life, there was a shift from that moment forward in my life.The<\/span> angelic realm was mere preparation.It<\/span>\nlaid a foundation of "normalcy" for the realm we generically refer to\nas "supernatural."It paved the way for me to think "naturally\nsupernatural, and supernaturally natural."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

From the moment that\nJesus first appeared at my bedside and began to lay out His purposes and His\ndestiny in and for my life, a transition began to take place in the way that I\nthought, in the things I expected, and in my perception of unfolding events.Two<\/span> years later, when I experienced my first trip to\nHeaven, communication in the Spirit had become second nature.Hmmmmm<\/span>.....let\nme rephrase that!Communication<\/span> in and through Holy\nSpirit had become the norm.It<\/span> was perfectly natural.From<\/span> that day to this -- more than 60 years later\n-- it has been the way I live and breathe.I<\/span> wouldn't\nknow how to live any other way!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Though that\nexperience at age nine was only the first time I had the opportunity to visibly\nwalk and talk with the Lord side-by-side, from that day to this we have walked\ntogether continually -- whether I've been able to visibly see Him there or not.And<\/span> that, my friends, changes a person's outlook on everything!There<\/span> is an intertwining of personality that\ntakes place when you walk together.There<\/span> is a\ntransfer of character and makeup that happens.This<\/span> is\nabsolutely essential and intrinsic to discipleship.The<\/span>\nmore I have lived and walked with and in Christ Jesus, the more I have taken on\nHis character and nature.(Oh, and by the way, He's not finished with me yet.There<\/span> is still more change to take place![Smile!])<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

One of the most\npractical aspects of discipleship and discipling<\/span> is\nthat one must first be a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.One<\/span>\nmust always remain in a place of submission to Holy Spirit.One<\/span>\nmust not only listen but respond.The<\/span> first and most\nbasic tenet of discipleship is -- as Francis of Assisi used to put it --\n"to hear and obey."It is absolutely impossible for me to lead someone\ninto a way of living and walking in Christ Jesus that I have not first lived\nand walked.I<\/span> can't promote a theory and hope it\nactually works for someone.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

One of the reasons\nwhy we have seen such a watering down of the Gospel throughout the years is\nthat being "in Christ" and having "Christ in us" has become\na religious philosophy -- a theory, if you will -- lacking in reality and\npractical living.Christianity<\/span> is anything but a religion.It<\/span> is not a theory.It<\/span> is\na lifestyle with naturally supernatural implications.There<\/span>\nis a dynamic to it that is absolutely foreign to the societies of this world.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus Christ was and\nis God incarnate!In<\/span> the flesh!In<\/span>\nthe here and now!Without<\/span> the transfer of character\nand personality, without the impartation of the divine nature and makeup of who\nand what Jesus is, made visible and operational and functional on a daily basis\nin us, anything we have to say becomes "sounding brass and tinkling\ncymbals" devoid of Kingdom life and reality!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As first, disciples of<\/i><\/b>\nJesus Christ, and then disciplers<\/span> for<\/i><\/b>\nHim of others also desiring to walk the Kingdom life, we impose the light and\nthe sound of Heaven whenever and wherever we go.It<\/span> is\nimpossible to do otherwise.Our<\/span> very presence brings\nchange wherever we are.Our<\/span> very presence impacts the\nenvironment. At least, it had better do so!Otherwise<\/span>\nwe're a bunch of frauds who live a religious lifestyle without the reality of\nintimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Roughly 29 years ago,\nDella went to work in the jewelry business, beginning as an assistant manager\nfor a family-owned jewelry store in Anchorage.The<\/span>\nmain store manager had been brought into the store to run it based on the\nrecommendation of others in the business.This<\/span> person\n-- a lady -- led a very worldly lifestyle and was totally devoid of any\nsensitivities to Jesus Christ.It<\/span> didn't take long for\nthe very presence of the Lord in Della to become threatening to this woman\ndespite the fact that Della was very quiet and non-confrontational.She<\/span>\nbecame more and more uncomfortable with Della's presence in the store.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Della and I began to\npray for this lady.The<\/span> more we prayed the more\nnervous and uncomfortable she became, to the point that she began making\naccusations about Della to the family that owned the store.One<\/span>\nof the owner's daughters was sent into the store to work with Della just to\nassess the situation.This<\/span> young lady responded\nenthusiastically to the presence of the Lord in Della and a bond of friendship\nformed -- one that would last for years to follow.The<\/span>\nexisting store manager was shortly thereafter moved out of that store to\nanother location.The<\/span> owner's daughter stayed on to\ngroom Della to manage outright one of their stores, and it wasn't long before\nDella was given a different store to run on her own.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In the years that\nfollowed the blessing and the presence of the Lord went with her.When<\/span> she transitioned over to work with and manage for Zales<\/span> Jewelers, the company's corporate managers saw and\nrecognized the anointing of the Lord.The<\/span> regional\nmanagers began to use her as a trouble-shooter to ferret out corruption and\nthievery among their stores.Everywhere<\/span> she went,\ndishonest and lazy employees were exposed and removed who were negatively\naffecting the store's performance and image in the community.Everywhere<\/span>\nshe went, she brought profitability and honor, in several instances setting\nsales records for those locations.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Beyond that, Della\nbecame a mentor and a "discipler<\/span>" in an\neconomic sense training and creating management teams for the company.But<\/span> her "discipling<\/span>"\nran far beyond the material and business world.It<\/span>\nbecame a joy and a pleasure to lead some of those employees into a committed\nwalk with the Lord Jesus Christ and to mentor them spiritually.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I've shared all that\njust to illustrate the fact that when there is true integrity in your walk with\nthe Lord and a continual pursuit of His presence and the excellence of His\ncharacter, you cannot help but influence and change the spiritual climate in\nwhich you live and operate daily.The<\/span> authority of the\nLord goes with you and the blessing of the Lord manifests in your labors and\nyour work ethic.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As disciples of Jesus\nChrist and then Kingdom representatives, we are both ambassadors AND part of\nHeaven's royalty.As<\/span> such we have been given both\nauthority and the responsibility of bringing the earth back under subjection to\nHeaven.We<\/span> DON'T rule over people!We<\/span>\nDO rule, however, over the spiritual realm -- and with it, and in the process\nthereof, take dominion over thrones and principalities and rulers of the\ndarkness of this world in the realm of the spirit.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

THAT, all by itself,\nbrings change in people and influences natural events, spiritual events,\npolitical events and economic events around us!It<\/span> is\nour responsibility as active believers to put into action the Word of the Lord\nin the earth and to enforce the peace of God in our societies.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The apostle Paul put\nit like this:<\/span> <\/span>"I exhort therefore,\nthat, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and<\/i> giving of\nthanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for<\/i> all that are in\nauthority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.For<\/span> this is<\/i> good and acceptable in the sight\nof God our Saviour<\/span>; Who will have all men to be\nsaved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\ncannot force men and women against their will to come to the knowledge of\nsalvation, and we cannot force people to lead a disciplined life in Christ Jesus.We<\/span> can, however, fulfill our responsibilities as\nKingdom representatives to bring about the change in our society -- change\nwhich must first begin in the realm of the Spirit.We<\/span>\nfirst implement that change through prayer and intercession.After<\/span>\nthat, depending on the rhema<\/span> of Holy Spirit, we begin\nto declare and decree.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nare first spirit beings.We<\/span> are secondly, soul, and\nthirdly, body -- in that order.If<\/span> we desire to bring\nabout the necessary change to our societies, it must begin first as disciples\nof the Lord Jesus Christ, living under submission and subjection to Holy\nSpirit, and then -- as He so orchestrates -- discipling<\/span>\nthose around us in order to implement Kingdom change in the earth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Are\nyou hearing this?Great!See<\/span> you next week (I hope!)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"If\nwe are just in the flock of the Lord's companions, the veils will remain and we\nwill only obliquely be able to see His glory and be changed by it. This is why\nmy goal in ministry has never been to make people my personal disciples but to\nhelp everyone I can to become a personal disciple of Christ Jesus Himself.<\/span>
\n<\/span>As we also can note from John 10, it is His sheep who know His\nvoice, not His lambs. <\/span>While we are young in the\nLord, we will have to follow others until we learn to know His voice, but my\nhope is to have my own veils removed and those of all I can help along their\nway<\/span><\/b>. We must see Him in order to be changed into His image, not\njust become the image of one of His friends.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What would any man think if his children all looked like his\nbest friend? We need to consider what we're doing when we're leaders who are\ntrying to get people to conform to us rather than to Him. Our lives can and\nshould be good examples for others, but as the Apostle Paul stated, he was in\nlabor until Christ was formed in His people. This is our goal."<\/span>(Prophetic\nWord from Rick Joyner)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
