Blessings\nupon you this first day of the rest of your life!<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nmay sound like a really strange way to say things, but FINALLY! I'm whole again.Now<\/span>, don't start laughing at me.Della<\/span>\nhas been in Alaska for most of the last three weeks, visiting and sharing with\nour daughter, Danielle, and her family, and our son, Joshua, and his family,\ngetting to see our latest granddaughter, Trinity Elizabeth, for the first time\n(this one is #24), and continuing to lay the groundwork for our return to\nAlaska.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nyou have been joined by the Lord to your counterpart, absence for any length of\ntime from one another is not something easily tolerated.You<\/span>\nfeel incomplete without your counterpart present, lacking, inadequate.Of<\/span>\ncourse, with today's technology, one can still stay in touch (and, brother, do\nwe ever!) by telephone, by computer, etc.But<\/span> it's\njust not the same!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You'll\nremember how I started off the previous Coffee Break, sharing the event in\nwhich James Merwin<\/span> made the statement that "I'd\nrather be dead than live<\/span> for 10 seconds without the\npresence of the Lord."THAT'S INTIMACY!!What we have with the Lord in that\nplace of intimacy is life itself.Paul<\/span> said that he\nwas,<\/span> <\/span>"\nwilling rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the\nLord!"<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That's\nprobably a great description for the relationship the Lord has given to Della\nand me.What<\/span> the Holy Spirit has given to us in our\nearthly relationship throughout the decades has been a tiny microcosm of the\nsame bonding that we have with the Lord Jesus Christ.Our<\/span>\nbond with Jesus Christ is a bond of intimacy, a bond of love, a bond of\nabsolute trust and confidence.By<\/span> the same token, He\nhas given to Della and me that same kind of bond in this natural realm -- a\nbond which is a picture for those who see us and know us of what we have in\nChrist.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\nsaid, let me pick up where I left off in the previous discussion, and draw upon\nthis picture of intimacy and the developmental process designed to get us there\nwith the Lord Jesus Christ.We<\/span> were talking about Ekklesia<\/span> as the preparation of the Bride of Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Ekklesia<\/span><\/span> is not an event.It<\/span> is not something one can attend, in the sense of\nattending a church.It<\/span> is not something one can decide\nto join at his or her choosing.One<\/span> does not make an\nintellectual decision based on circumstances to be joined in an intimate\nrelationship to the Lord.It<\/span> is a life to which one is\ncalled<\/i> by the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\ncall goes forth by the Holy Spirit.Individuals<\/span> hear\n-- not a message of "get saved so you can go to heaven" -- but that\nJesus paid the ultimate redemption cost to purchase for Himself a people who\nwould be groomed, fitted, and prepared to be His counterpart, His "other\nself," His Bride! Having heard the call from the Bridegroom to "come\naway with Me" deep within their spirits, they respond to the preparation\nprocesses that now begin.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(Once\nagain I emphasize the fact that in the same way that we see developmental\nstages of growth between birth and maturity, we MUST experience and respond to\nthe processes laid out for us by the Paraklete<\/span> at the\nBridegroom's direction.This<\/span> is not for us: this is\nfor Him! We were and are created for His pleasure -- not the other way around.And<\/span> that's not to say that we won't experience\npleasure in this relationship -- we will!!!)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Ekklesia<\/span><\/span> is the gathering\ntogether, the forum in which this preparation process is directed by Holy\nSpirit under the leadership of those in whom He has already made much\npreparation and given a vision of His objectives. It is designed as that same\nmicrocosm I just described of bonding and joining in the realm of the Spirit. The\nobjective purpose of Holy Spirit is for us to be so bonded together -- first,\nwith the Lord; and secondly, with each other -- that the world can look on and\nKNOW that we walk and live naturally supernatural and supernaturally natural as\nsons and daughters of God!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\ndo not say these things in order to manipulate individuals into joining us, nor\nis it some clever way to suggest that people should come under subjection or\nsubmission to some special set of doctrines we might hold to.As<\/span>\nhas been clearly stated, this is not something that people can join! At the\nsame time, Ekklesia<\/span> is not some kind of exclusive\nclub with a set of requirements to keep "undesirables" out.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Perhaps\nthis can best be explained out of John 1:12-13 through an illustration which\nthe Lord gave to Della recently.Rendered<\/span> from the\nGreek text, it reads like this:<\/span><\/i><\/span>"But as many as believed in, and responded to Him, to them\nHe gave the authority and ability to become -- and be transformed into --\nbegotten children of God, specifically to those who entrust their future\nexistence and well-being by faith in His name, rank, position, character,\npersonality and being; who were begotten, not of flesh and blood, nor because\nhuman flesh determined it by its own decision, nor because the mind and\nintellect of man seized upon it and willed it into existence, but by God as a\nsovereign act of His will and determination."<\/span><\/i>(my translation)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nbecomes clear, therefore, that:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(1)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Ekklesia<\/span><\/span> begins with the\nLord, through and by His Spirit calling and choosing us;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(2)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>it requires a response of obedience\npredicated on believing His word and the voice of His Spirit;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(3)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>our character and nature begin a\nprocess of transformation<\/span><\/b> so that we, as spiritual beings, can be joined to Him;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(4)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>no act of our flesh is involved in the\nprocess;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(5)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>we are begotten by the Spirit in a\ngenetic sense of the word;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(6)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>neither strong personality, nor an\nintellectual decision to become "one" with Him play the slightest\npart in any transformation which takes place in our life;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(7)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>we cannot "will" ourselves to\nbecome a part of the Bride, nor can we "choose" by arbitrary decision\nto participate in anything which the Lord is doing in His people;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(8)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>everything which occurs as a part of\nthe developmental processes initiated by Jesus Christ through His death and\nresurrection, does so because the Father first<\/b> spoke it, willed it so,\nand called<\/b> those who are undergoing the processes.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For\nthose who see the foregoing as an impossible situation, and find themselves at\nthe height of frustration because they feel that they are being by-passed by\nothers in a spiritual sense; that others are hearing and responding, but they\nare not; there is a simple answer.It<\/span> is no more\ncomplicated than saying to the Lord, "Whatever it takes for you to\naccomplish your will and heart's desire in me, do it, Lord!Enable<\/span>\nme to hear your voice so I can<\/b> respond!"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nis the very essence of all He asks.To<\/span> respond to His\ndirection and calling!Change<\/span> begins to occur within\nour lives thereafter because of what we are rapidly coming to refer to as His\n"processing."Processing is nothing more or less than the dealings of\nHoly Spirit, His identifying those areas of our lives which need to be conformed\nto the nature and character of Jesus Christ, and His beckoning for us to\nrespond.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nJesus Christ, by a sovereign act of His will, brings individuals into the Ekklesia<\/span> He has built among us, there generally are, or\nhave been doctrinal disagreements. The Lord, however, has a unique way of\ndissolving those disagreements, or at least setting them on a back burner.What<\/span> He has done, instead, is to bring us into a\n"unity of the Spirit."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nis a principal priority!Once<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> that unity of the\nSpirit is established, He then can deal with the "unity of the\nfaith."Those who make "the unity of the faith" their priority\nusually do not stick around (and have not) since this so-called\n"unity" is generally based on some pet doctrine or set of doctrines\nto which they choose to cling.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Those,\nlikewise, who do not allow the establishing of worship and intimate love\nbetween them and the Lord do not remain.If<\/span> there is a\ncommon denominator in all that the Lord has been speaking to us, that common\ndenominator is worship.That<\/span> does not mean that we\nhave found some magic formula to bring us into the presence of the Lord.It<\/span> simply means that people who resolve for themselves\nthat the Bridegroom's desires are THE<\/b> highest priority<\/b> find that He<\/b>\nplaces within them an overwhelming yearning for His intimate presence.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Worship\nmay be expressed in different modes whether musically, verbally or by some act\nor action on our part.Worship<\/span> always has a prophetic\ncomponent to it.Though<\/span> accompanied by music, the\nspoken word, or some actions on our part, it ALWAYS takes place in, by, and\nthrough spirit communication-- and that transcends the intellect.Without<\/span>\nthe joining that happens in the realm of the Spirit, what we've often referred\nto in time past as "worship" is really nothing more than some form of\npraise, prayer, or testimony.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Because\nmany of us have been involved in some of the previous great moves of God, there\nare certain bondages that each of us must be free from -- most of which are\nvery "religious" in nature.It<\/span> has been\nfrequently said that "those who are a part of one particular move of God\nusually resist the next move of God, and in fact, persecute those of the next\nmove."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nresistance and persecution generally come from the fact that each successive\n"move" brings God's people -- and specifically, the Bride -- closer\nto perfect union with the Lord Jesus Christ.It<\/span> almost\nseems paradoxical that anyone would resist this; yet, when we consider that\neach successive "move" also exposes more and more things which have\nbeen hidden within our spirits, it becomes quite clear.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

These\nare flaws, or spots which cannot continue to coexist if there is to be union\nwith Jesus Christ.These<\/span> are parts of our character\nwhich are under the motivation or control of evil spirits who find their\nauthority and operation being challenged, and their hiding places exposed.Exposure<\/span> and subsequent deliverance mean greater\nfreedom for the individual in his or her relationship with the Lord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

At\nthe same time, these wicked spirits want to keep us bound within the religious\nstructure we have known in times past, and blinded in such a way that we can\nonly accept the "truths" thus far revealed.Hence<\/span>,\nthese "religious" spirits oppose and resist any new move of the Holy\nSpirit which would bring them into the light, or expose their hiding places;\nand, consequently, motivate contention and strife within the individuals who\nare bound by them towards those who do yield to that "new" word which\nthe Holy Spirit is bringing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For\nthis reason, the Lord has specifically directed Della and me to frequently lift\nup all those who are coming into, or responding to, that which Holy Spirit is\ncalling His people to in this day and hour: an intimate love relationship with\nthe Lord Jesus Christ.The<\/span> significance of this\n"call" to intimacy is obvious.This<\/span> will\nbring a union between the Bride and Bridegroom.Hence<\/span>,\nwe have been directed on many occasions to undertake specific fasting.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nhave also been directed to fast on behalf of those who, for physical or\nemotional reasons, are unable to fast during times or periods when Holy Spirit\ncalls for a corporate fast.For<\/span> many of them, the Lord\nwill bring them to a place where they can fast, and will experience little, if\nany, physical difficulty or side effects during the time they are directed to\nfast.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Toward\nthe end of one of Della's times of fasting, the Lord showed something to her\nregarding one of the principal reasons why so many people struggle to receive\n"new" revelation from Holy Spirit, and come into an understanding of\nwhat the Lord desires of them.Della<\/span> was directed back\nto Genesis 3 to review what we have all been taught as "the original\nsin."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nhave all been taught, and have understood, that the original sin was\n"disobedience" when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit.What<\/span> the Lord showed Della was that the original sin\noccurred before they ever ate, and that this sin is at the heart of the problem\nwithin the corporate church structure.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\noriginal sin took place progressively, and the progression goes like this:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(1<\/b>)\nThe Serpent (Satan) began the temptation by bringing<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

them\nback to the original word which God had spoken<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

to\nthem with the question, "Hath God said?"(see Genesis 3:1)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(2<\/b>)\nIn raising the question, he caused them to question the<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

integrity\nof God and challenge the word of the Lord to them.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(see\nGenesis 3:2-4)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(3<\/b>)\nOnce the question of God's intent had been raised<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

in\ntheir minds, God's motive was challenged. The idea<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

was\nplanted that He was trying to prevent them from<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

becoming\nlike Him.Were<\/span> they to become like Him, His<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

authority\nwould be challenged.They<\/span> would become\n"wise,"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

being\nable to discern what was "good" and make their own<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

judgment\nregarding "good," as well as determining "evil," and<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

make\ntheir own decisions with regard to "evil."Hence, they<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

would\nbe "as God."(see Genesis 3:5)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(4<\/b>)\nThe "original sin," therefore, occurred in their questioning<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

of\nGod's word to them<\/span><\/b>,\nand judging His motive<\/b> in<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

commanding\nthem not to eat of this one particular tree.The<\/span><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"original\nsin" occurred when they elected to make their own<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

independent\ndecision<\/span><\/b>,\nchoosing to believe Satan's version of<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"wisdom,"\nand choosing "knowledge" over a relationship of love<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

and\ntrust between them and the very God who had so carefully<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

and\nlovingly created them.(see Genesis 3:6)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(5<\/b>)The\n"original sin" came when they agreed with Satan<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

in\ndirect violation of the word which the Lord had clearly<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

spoken\nto them.Had<\/span> God said?Absolutely<\/span>!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(6<\/b>)\nThe disobedience which followed (vs. 6) was only the "fruit"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

of\nthe original sin, and compounded the original sin by violating<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

a\nspoken commandment, given in love as a warning from the<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Lord\nGod, who knew that such action would bring an end to<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

their\n"cool-of-the-day" intimate fellowship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

God's\npeople have been re-enacting this sin ever since that day, and it is at the\ncore of the corporate church structure.We<\/span> are taught\nrepeatedly and continuously, through various doctrines of the\n"church" to pass judgment on the word of the Lord which comes to us.We<\/span> are educated to the concept of getting as much\n"knowledge" about<\/b> the Lord, and the things of God, as\npossible; trained to make our own decisions and determinations of what we will\nrespond to, and made to feel perfectly justified<\/b> in not responding to\ncertain "words" from the Lord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Education,\nknowledge, and "wisdom" are made to become GOD.The<\/span>\nlie of this, and the deceit of the Enemy, comes in the exchanging of receiving\nthe<\/span> <\/span>"Spirit\nof Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ"<\/span><\/i>(see Ephesians 1:17)\nfor "getting" wisdom, knowledge and understanding (i.e.,\n"education")by "study" -- in other words: "man's\nway," as opposed to "God's way".It<\/span> is\nthe very thing which has separated us from an intimate love relationship with\nthe Lord Jesus Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nhave shared in these Coffee Breaks in time past the travesty of the KJV\ntranslation of II Timothy 2:15 in which the word "Study" has been\ntranslated from the Greek "<\/span>spoudason<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>" in\ncontradistinction to the real message of Holy Spirit.That<\/span>\nmessage (and we'll get into it more in our next Coffee Break) is to "Be\ninstantly responsive!"What a huge difference in meaning!What<\/span>\na huge difference that one single word represents to those of us who are\npressing in for the intimate presence of the Lord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We'll\nexplore that difference in depth in our next Coffee Break.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"We are called to be heirs of God in Christ. There is no\nhigher calling in all of creation. <\/span>Everything\nhappening in our lives is intended to prepare us for this high calling by\nworking in us Christ's nature.Christ<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> is the\nanswer to every human problem, and He is the answer to every problem we're now facing.It<\/span> is not just that He has the answers, but He is\nthe answer.If<\/span> we are living in the knowledge that the\nOne we serve is over all rule and authority and dominion, how can we fear?Every<\/span> challenge is an opportunity to grow in faith, so\na key to the victorious life is to not waste our trials.(Prophetic Word from\nRick Joyner)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
