\n<\/span>Sorry.I<\/span><\/span> have lots of Aussie\nfriends \u2013 and even a few relatives \u2013 but my ability to duplicate their accent\nis a bit missing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>As something of a\nfollow-up to my last commentary concerning the \u201cflushing\u201d out of the poison in\nour mouths, Jesse Duplantis<\/span> recently had one of the\nbest analogies I\u2019ve heard.(Don\u2019t mean to just be quoting Jesse in case it seems\nthat way, but he\u2019s had some rather spectacular and anointed sharing of late\nthat\u2019s worth repeating.)I\u2019ll try to quote or paraphrase him as closely as\npossible.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cThe reason that\nfolks jump all over what they call the \u2018Word of Faith\u2019 movement or the\n\u2018Prosperity Doctrine\u2019 is because there are some preachers out there who grab\nhold of part of the revelation and just focus on that part instead of waiting\nto get the entire revelation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\nplaces an imbalance on what they teach and causes resulting error.\u201d<\/span>
\n<\/span>Jesse is right! Just\nbecause there are preachers and teachers who are labeled \u201cWord of Faith\u201d or\n\u201cProsperity\u201d doesn\u2019t mean they have the whole revelation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Their\nlack of balance, however, does not invalidate the truth of the Word of Faith,\nnor does it mean that teaching prosperity is heresy. Let\u2019s face it, folks. If a\nperson speaks out against the Word of Faith (and I don\u2019t just mean the\nso-called \u2018movement\u2019) they are speaking contrary to what the Word of God very\nspecifically says!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Hebrews 11:6 very\nclearly states,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cWithout faith, it is impossible<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span>(see\nthat word, \u2018impossible\u2019?)<\/span> <\/span>to please God.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b>The corollary to this\nis that faith MUST be in our mouths as a part of our normal ordinary speech. It\nis an incontrovertible truth that you cannot have<\/b> what you speak\nagainst. There\u2019s another side to this, too. Nowhere in the Word are we\ninstructed to call those things that are as though they weren\u2019t! It is fair to\nsay that most things that are exist because someone spoke them into existence\none way or another.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Let me give you an\nexample.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>A certain person said\nto me \u2013 not once but several times throughout the years \u2013 \u201cI\u2019ll probably have\nor get cancer. It runs in our family, so I guess that means I\u2019ll have\ncancer.\u201dSure enough the man came down with cancer. He got exactly what he\nconfessed. He brought into being a disease he didn\u2019t need to have because he\nspoke unbelief. Meanwhile he was made aware of the promises in the Word\nconcerning healing. With only a partial understanding of the Word of Faith, he\nbegan to call his cancer nonexistent.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>I understand what he\nwas trying to do, but that was not an exercise of the Word of Faith. He was\ntrying to call those things that are as though they weren\u2019t \u2013 and it didn\u2019t\nwork. He should have spoken the truth and said, \u201cI have been diagnosed with\ncancer but the Word says that Jesus paid the price for my healing \u2013 that by His\nstripes I\u2019ve been healed. Therefore I lay claim to the covenant that I have\nwith the Lord Jesus Christ. I accept and receive healing from cancer by and\nthrough the blood of Jesus and in His Name!\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>See the difference? The\nfirst confession gets you nowhere because it simply isn\u2019t truth. It is nothing\nmore than unbelief masquerading as faith. The second confession acknowledges\nthat you have been afflicted but that Jesus paid the price so that you could be\nhealed of the affliction. That\u2019s the truth, and that\u2019s what you have to walk\nin.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Unbelief,\nincidentally, is not a lack of believing. Unbelief actively believes something\nwhich is contrary to what God is saying, or what He has said before. For many\npeople, unbelief is far more powerful in their lives than having faith and\ndeclaring and decreeing agreement with what The Word Himself says. Unbelief\nchallenges the promises that Jesus made. Unbelief essentially says, \u201cI don\u2019t\nbelieve that Jesus will keep His Word to me. Maybe he\u2019ll do it for somebody\nelse but not me.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Just as faith gives\nrise to a creative confession, unbelief always gives vent to a negative and (ultimately)\ndestructive confession. That confession declares and decrees a thing in the\nlife of the decreer<\/span>. What it decrees is exactly what\na person believes \u2013 even if what a person believes violates the Word of God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>When someone says to\nme, \u201cI don\u2019t believe that,\u201d or, \u201cI don\u2019t believe that applies to me\u201d they are\nunequivocally saying that they\u2019ve chosen to actively disbelieve what God says,\nthus placing their \u201cbelief system\u201d above that of the Lord. When someone says to\nme, \u201cI don\u2019t believe in the idea of Christians living in prosperity,\u201d they are\nwithout question denying the very efficacy of the Word and the multitude of\npromises of the Lord. Deuteronomy 28 \u2013 all by itself \u2013 should be sufficient to\nquash that unbelief.<\/span>
\n<\/span>When someone says,\n\u201cSpeaking in tongues is of the Devil,\u201d they blaspheme the Holy Spirit by\nattributing His work and ministry to Satan. They actively disbelieve Acts 2:39\nand dismiss it as not relevant to the present time. They place themselves in\ngrave danger of severe judgment.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Let me get back on track.\nWe don\u2019t know it all yet. In case you hadn\u2019t already figured it out (grin),\nI\u2019ve made some serious mistakes, errors in judgment and errors in teaching. I\nwas very sincere years ago when I taught against the laws of tithing \u2013 and I\nwas sincerely wrong! The problem was that I didn\u2019t have revelation by the Holy\nSpirit and so I taught from humanly acquired and (very!) erroneous reasoning. Were\nit not for the grace and mercy of the Lord I would still be caught in that\nerror.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>That said, I\u2019d hate\nfor someone to take something I taught 10, 15 or 20 years ago from an\nincomplete place of understanding and suggest that I currently preach and teach\nthat same error.(Unfortunately, folks who condemn many of the so-called \u201cWord\nof Faith\u201d and \u201cProsperity Teachers\u201d do exactly that, taking things they said as\nmany as 20 or 30 years ago and repeating them as current doctrine when in fact\nthey have grown in their understanding and areas of teaching as the Holy Spirit\nhas continued to unfold revelation from the Word.)Thank the Lord for His\ninstruction and correction. Thank God for His patience with me in my stupidity\nand His grace to bring me out of error. I\u2019m still learning and still growing in\nthe grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/span>
\n<\/span>OK. Enough of that. Let\u2019s\nmove on.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Ezekiel has long been\none of my favorite prophets. It didn\u2019t used to be that way, but when I began to\nhave some of the same experiences and same visions he had, it changed my\nperspective and gave me a real appreciation for him. Little did I realize when\nI was talking to him that less than two years later I would experience his\n\u201cwheel in the middle of the wheel\u201d in ways I couldn\u2019t have imagined.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Ezekiel was a Levitical<\/span> priest who when he was introduced to me appeared\nin priestly garments. I\u2019d have guessed him to be roughly 5\u201910\u201d or 5\u201911\u201d tall,\nand \u201clean and mean\u201d if you get the metaphor. He was no spindly-looking guy,\nhowever. He had soft facial features \u2013 the look of someone who has spent a\nlifetime in the presence of the Lord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Here again was\nsomeone whose appearance belied the mental images which came from seeing all\nthe \u201cstuff\u201d he went through, and the requests the Lord made of him in order to\nbecome a literal prophecy himself to the nation. Stop and think about it! What\ndo you think a guy would look like to whom the Lord first said, \u201cTake this roll\n(scroll) and eat it?\u201dOK, how about this one:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cLie thou also upon\nthy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according\nto the number of the days that thou shalt<\/span> lie upon it\nthou shalt<\/span> bear their iniquity.For<\/span>\nI have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of\nthe days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt<\/span>\nthou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Then the Lord follows\nthat one up with,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cAnd when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right\nside, and thou shalt<\/span> bear the iniquity of the house\nof Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Got the picture? Ezekiel\nis commanded to lie on his left side for 390 days as a sign to Israel. Next\nhe\u2019s commanded to lie on his right side for 40 days.Each<\/span>\nof those acts becomes a prophecy to Israel.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>But wait. It gets\neven stranger yet!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cAnd thou, son of man, take thee a sharp\nknife, take thee a barber\u2019s razor, and cause it to pass upon thine<\/span> head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to\nweigh, and divide the hair.Thou<\/span> shalt<\/span>\nburn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the\nsiege are fulfilled: and thou shalt<\/span> take a third\npart, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt<\/span> scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword\nafter them.Thou<\/span> shalt<\/span> also\ntake thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.Then<\/span>\ntake of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in\nthe fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So\nEzekiel is commanded to shave his head and his beard and use the hair in four\ndifferent ways to prophesy. Do you think this might look strange?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Try this one on!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cTake thou also unto\nthee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and fitches, and\nput them in one vessel, and make thee<\/span> bread thereof,\naccording to the number of the days that thou shalt<\/span>\nlie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt<\/span>\nthou eat thereof.And<\/span> thy meat which thou shalt<\/span> eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from\ntime to time shalt<\/span> thou eat it.Thou<\/span>\nshalt<\/span> drink also water by measure, the sixth part of\nan hin<\/span>: from time to time shalt<\/span>\nthou drink.And<\/span> thou shalt<\/span>\neat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt<\/span> bake it with\ndung that cometh out of man, in their sight.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Say what?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cAnd the LORD said,\nEven thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the\nGentiles, whither I will drive them.Then<\/span> said I, Ah\nLord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even\ntill now have I not eaten of that which dieth<\/span> of\nitself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.Then<\/span> he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow\u2019s\ndung for man\u2019s dung, and thou shalt<\/span> prepare thy bread\ntherewith.Moreover<\/span> he said unto me, Son of man,\nbehold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread\nby weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with\nastonishment: That they may want bread and water, and be astonied<\/span>\none with another, and consume away for their iniquity.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Wheww<\/span><\/span>!!! Yecchh<\/span>! \u201cPrepare thy bread (with dung)?\u201d Think you could do\nthat? Somehow I doubt it! And we think some of God\u2019s people today are strange!\nAnd this was just a sampling of the very unusual things God required of him as\nhe became the prophetic Word of the Lord to Israel.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Now you begin to get\nthe idea why I began my questions with Ezekiel like this: \u201cDid you think you\u2019d\nlost your mind, or maybe that you were hearing things, when the Lord asked you\nto do all that strange stuff? I mean, WOW!I know you were supposed to represent\na prophetic picture to the people, but I don\u2019t remember anyone else ever being\nasked to do such odd things, \u2018cept<\/span> maybe Isaiah once\nor twice.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>It seems that my\nquestions often provoked laughter on the part of the individuals being\nquestioned, and Ezekiel was no exception. Put in the perspective that I had\njust shared, he couldn\u2019t help but laugh. In fact, it caught his \u201cfunny bone\u201d to\nthe point where he almost doubled over laughing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cI guess I\u2019d never\nthought of it cumulatively like that,\u201d he responded, \u201cbut I see what you\u2019re\ndriving at. As you\u2019ve just pointed out, Isaiah was required to walk about for\nthree years naked and barefoot in order to become a prophetic message to Egypt\nand Ethiopia.<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u201cWhen the Lord first\nbegan to instruct me in this strange behavior, He warned me that Israel was\nextremely rebellious and that they would react vehemently to the Word I was\nsent to deliver. If you remember how He spoke to Jeremiah, He instructed him\nnot to pay attention to the reactions of the people. He told Jeremiah that they\nwould fight against him and try to take his life. He repeated Himself several\ntimes to Jeremiah when He said,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cBe not afraid of their faces, for I am with\nthee to deliver thee.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cWhat God said to me\nwas,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cAnd thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid\nof their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell\namong scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks,\nthough they be a rebellious house. And thou shalt<\/span>\nspeak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear:\nfor they are most rebellious.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cThe parallel was\nidentical. God was letting me know that these people were like poisonous\nscorpions and that they would try to sting me and infect me with their poison.\nI knew in my spirit that I was going to be an illustrated prophetic Word of the\nLord \u2013 one that would be so graphic the people would not be able to get the\npicture out of their minds. The Lord was so serious about them receiving this\nmessage that He was making me into something that was pretty extreme in order\nto get His Word engraved in their spirits.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cThat didn\u2019t mean the\npeople were going to hear and obey the Word.In<\/span> fact,\nHe said to me,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cFor they are impudent children and stiffhearted<\/span>.\nI do send thee unto them; and thou shalt<\/span> say unto\nthem, Thus saith<\/span> the Lord GOD. And they, whether they\nwill hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet\nshall know that there hath been a prophet among them.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Ezekiel paused and said, \u201cAre you understanding this?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>I\nnodded my head.\u201cThat\u2019s pretty extreme! Obviously it is very important that\nGod\u2019s people hear the warning because of the things that are going to happen.\u201d<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u201cThere\u2019s\nmore, but before we continue there are some things I need to share with you,\nyoung man.The<\/span> Lord Jesus arranged this trip for you\nbecause there are some things that need to be planted in your spirit. He has\nsome important assignments for you \u2013 just as He had for me, for Isaiah and for\nJeremiah. Much of what I\u2019m about to share with you will fade from your\nconscious memory for several years because the timing of what I have to say is\nfor a day that awaits you.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>He\ncontinued.\u201cA day will come when you will cry out to the Lord asking Him\nconcerning the events that will be unfolding at that time. The Spirit of the\nLord will bring this conversation back to you and remind you of your calling\nand purpose. He will time it in such a way that your purposes in God will begin\nto flower and mature.\u201d<\/span>
\n<\/span>Now\nmy curiosity was piqued! I stood up straight and waited to see what Ezekiel was\ngoing to say.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cI\u2019ve\njust told you what the Lord spoke to me when He first called me. I wasn\u2019t being\nsent to other nations and other peoples. I was being sent to the House of\nIsrael. Though there will come moments in time when you will address people who\nare not of the house and family of God \u2013 and you will see them quickly and\nreadily respond to the Word of the Lord \u2013 God is sending you primarily to His\npeople.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cWhen\nHe sent me to the houses of Judah and Israel, He specifically warned me that I\nwould be addressing a very stubborn and rebellious people who did not want to\nhear the Word I was speaking. The same is true for you. In the years to come\nyou will find yourself delivering the Word of the Lord to people who call\nthemselves believers, members of the body of Christ \u2026 Christians. But they will\nbe locked into doctrines, teachings and mindsets that have blinded them to the\ncalling and purposes of God in their lives.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cMany\nwill rebel against the Word of the Lord that you speak. You will be despised,\nrejected, regarded as heretical, spoken evil of, conspired against, thrown out\nof places, and some of them will even try to kill you. Do not, for a moment,\nallow any of that to affect you. Do not in any way compromise or water down the\nWord of the Lord which He gives you to speak. Their lives and their spiritual\nfutures depend on your faithfulness to deliver God\u2019s Word.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cThat\ndoesn\u2019t mean all of them will reject the Word. You will certainly see results,\nand God\u2019s Word will certainly come to pass. But be prepared, young man! There\nwill be times when your obedience to the Word of the Lord will cost you\neverything. Never fear. There is a day of harvest and a day of reward and you\nwill see and experience it. Don\u2019t be intimidated by the long wait. Do not,\nunder any circumstances, allow what seem to be interminable delays and the\nrejections you will certainly experience cause you to quit and give up. You\u2019ll\nnever regret enduring and persisting in the face of seemingly impossible\ncircumstances.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>My\nconversation with Ezekiel still had a little ways to go, and I\u2019m running long\ntoday, so let\u2019s hold it for our next Coffee Break.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\n<\/span>A shaking is going on the midst of\nGod\u2019s people! Jesus is coming back for a Bride without spot or wrinkle. It is\nimperative that we as His people yield to the fire of the Holy Spirit and the\npurification processes He is bringing us to. The fire is not for our\ndestruction, it is to get rid of the bondages that keep us from reaching His\ndestiny for us!<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n
