\n<\/span>Anyone who knows\nDella and me is well aware of the fact that we have for a long time partnered\nwith Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Jesse Duplantis<\/span>\nMinistries. They are not the only folks we partner with, but I bring this up\ntoday just because of something Jesse Duplantis<\/span>\nrecently shared at his church fellowship in Destrehan, Louisiana.(I\u2019ll share\nthat momentarily.)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Most of my friends\nand family know that I\u2019ve been a sci-fi aficionado all of my life, and\nespecially a fan of the whole Star Trek genre. I\u2019ve had a lifetime interest and\ninvolvement in science (and even have a few contributions to the realm in\nbroadcast engineering and scientific research) and especially in space travel \u2013\nan interest I would attribute to the first trip I had when the Lord was taking\nme to Heaven where I got to see our Solar System from an astronaut\u2019s\nperspective, as well as a good part of the universe. That interest resulted in\nmy working for NASA in its early days and being able to participate in the\nlaunches of some of our first astronauts.<\/span>
\n
\n<\/span>I said all that to\nsay this: Jesse had an absolutely phenomenal parallel adaptation to the line\nheard at the end of every single Star Trek episode. That line normally begins,\n\u201cStar Trek: the final frontier! These are the voyages of the starship\nEnterprise. It\u2019s five-year mission is to seek out\u2026\u2026\u2026etc.\u201dJesse\u2019s adaptation was\nfor believers who understand our commission from the Lord Jesus Christ, and his\nline goes as follows:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cMINISTRY: The final frontier! These\nare the voyages of the Children of God. Our lifelong mission is to seek out new\nsouls for His Glory and Honor, to fill new hearts with His presence and power;\nto teach and preach the uncompromised Word of God; to boldly go where Jesus\nChrist tells us to go! Live Long and Prosper!\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Pretty\ncool, don\u2019t you think? Thought you\u2019d appreciate that!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Up to this point in\nsharing these experiences I have for the most part stayed in one area of\nHeaven. My substantive conversations began with Abraham, and then went to Isaac\nand Jacob. As already noted I did have a conversation with Joseph but it was\nnot part of this visit, and I will address that conversation in a later post.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>My conversations with\nthe three major patriarchs all took place in an area of Heaven that seemed to\nbe pretty much like an agricultural area. When I spoke with David, we moved\nabout a bit more, and of course I saw the same temple he and Moses had seen \u2013 the\nsame temple that became the pattern for Moses\u2019 tabernacle and David\u2019s \u201cHoly of\nHolies\u201d tabernacle. Although with each of these discussions we periodically\n\u201ctransported\u201d (for lack of a better description) to places, or into visions of\nplaces and events where they had some rather distinctive experiences, it seemed\nthat we pretty much stayed in the same area of Heaven.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>When my conversation\nwith Samuel concluded, Jesus now came to my side and He said, \u201cYou\u2019ve asked to\ntalk to some of the Old Testament prophets \u2013 Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and\nDaniel. They are in another part of the city, so let\u2019s take a walk. We could go\nthere instantly as you\u2019ve already seen possible, but let\u2019s just walk for now. I\u2019ll\nshow you more of Heaven as we walk and I\u2019ll take you to the area where they\nreside.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Let me try to draw\nthis picture for you so that you can at least have some inkling of what it was\nlike. Jesus took my hand in His and we began to walk. I think I\u2019ve already\nnoted that the streets were nearly transparent. The concept of gold so pure\nthat you can almost see through it like glass is a concept we just don\u2019t relate\nto here. There were places where I could see through the streets to another\ntier or level below in Heaven. Being a city 1500 miles wide by 1500 miles deep\nby 1500 miles high makes it almost like a planet with different continents or\ncountries \u2013 and in many respects that is what it is like.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>In the same way that\nwe have different kinds of architecture and different flavors in the styles of\nour towns and cities, Heaven has that \u2013 and more! This first street we began\nour walk on seemed to be almost like some of the older cities in Europe with\nfairly narrow streets and older-styled (I don\u2019t know what to call it)\narchitecture. By the way, if you\u2019ve ever wondered where the Romans and the\nGreeks and other cultures \u2013 Egypt in the time of the Pharaohs, for example \u2013\ngot their architecture, they didn\u2019t invent it! It existed here in Heaven long\nbefore Earth ever saw it.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>We walked along one\nstreet where the \u201chomes\u201d (if you want to refer to them
\nthat way) were domed palaces \u2013 gorgeous mansions of stupendous beauty and style\nwith their colonnades. I made some comment to the Lord about this and asked Him\nif this is what He was referring to when He said to the disciples, \u201cIn My\nFather\u2019s house are many mansions \u2026 I go there to prepare a place for you.\u201d(See\nJohn 14:2)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>He put His finger\nacross His mouth to silence my question and simply responded, \u201cWait and see.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>If I haven\u2019t\nmentioned this before, it is just an oversight but one of the most powerful\nthings that happens in you when you are in Heaven \u2013 and probably more\naccurately, just being with the Lord and walking with Him \u2013 is the overpowering\nsense of His love. It is impossible for anyone to hang onto past hurts,\nresentments, offenses or differences of any kind with any person or group of\npeople when you are blanketed by His<\/span>\n<\/span>agape<\/span><\/i>\n<\/span>love. All of that\nfades into nothingness. It simply doesn\u2019t exist anymore. If you were to even\nstop to think about it for ten seconds, you would wonder why it was ever so\nimportant to you or consequential in any way.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>The<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span>love\nof the Lord Jesus Christ is simply miraculous beyond words! Once you experience\nthis, Jesus\u2019 answer to Peter\u2019s question really makes sense.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Peter, you\u2019ll recall,\nsaid to Jesus one day, \u201cLord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I\nforgive him? \u2018Till seven times?\u201dJesus\u2019 answer was something that has befuddled\nmany folks \u2013 and especially Christians caught in the dilemma of repetitious\noffenses of the same nature by the same individuals.\u201cI say not unto thee, Until\nseven times: but, Until seventy times seven.\u201d(See Matthew 18:21-22)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Seems impossible,\ndoesn\u2019t it? It is! It is literally impossible to anyone who loves with<\/span> <\/span>phileo<\/span><\/i><\/span>\n<\/span>\u2013 human love,\nbrotherly love. On the other hand, the love of the Lord Jesus Christ \u2013<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span>\u2013\nis limitless. Suddenly, the offenses seem trivial and worthless \u2013 not worth a\nsplit second\u2019s consideration! When one is swept by the love of the Lord and\nlives in that overwhelming presence, so many things we consider important\nsuddenly fade into irrelevance.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>(Note: I\u2019m not going\nto launch into a dissertation on<\/span>\n<\/span>agape<\/span><\/i>\n<\/span>here, but it is\nimportant to note that despite our ability to dismiss and remit those wrongs\nagainst us, those who commit the offenses still have to come to grips with the\nconsequences of their attacks, their trespasses, misdeeds or breaches.)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>OK, I\u2019m a bit\noff-target here so let\u2019s get to my meeting with Isaiah. Here was a man whose\nvery demeanor exemplified<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i>.\nThere was a softness and tenderness to his character. That\u2019s not to say that\nanyone else was brittle or abrasive in any way. There just was something\ndistinctly different about him, and that difference triggered my first\nquestion.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cUnlike any of your\npredecessors or successors as prophets in Israel, you seemed to have an\nacceptance that spanned generations. Kings sent for you, anxious to know what\nGod was saying. It seems to me that you had access where others didn\u2019t. How did\nthat happen?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cGrowing up as I did\nin the lap of luxury and having access to the privileged life of a family\nalready respected and held in esteem in Israel, I saw the blessing of the Lord\nin ways many (if not most) of my fellow-Israelites seemed to be missing. Early\nin life I recognized that we were a nation quickly retreating from our\nrelationship with the Lord God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cMany years before,\nGod had given to King David the promise that the
\nlong-awaited Redeemer and Messiah would come through his lineage. There was a\nyearning in me that was increasing with the years to find out more about this\ncoming Messiah. As much as I could I spent more and more time in prayer,\nintercession and waiting on the Lord. The prophetic call on my life and the\nanointing for it came in the midst of that.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cMy increasing\nheart\u2019s desire was for our people to know the true nature of
\nthe Lord and to embrace the Covenant He had (and has) with us. We were a nation\nof people set apart unto Him for the purpose of showing the world what it could\nhave and how His Blessing could alter them for the better. With my whole heart\nI sought for a way to communicate the heart of the Lord \u2013 not only to our\nnation, but to the surrounding nations as well.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>Isaiah was a man with\nthe bearing of one who possessed and operated freely with authority. He clearly\nwas accustomed to exercising authority. His next comments began to fill out the\npicture much more plainly.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cMy father was an\nelder in Judah. I was a part of the house of David and related to the kings of\nJudah so it gave me ready access to the courts of the kings. For a time during\nthe reign of Uzziah<\/span> I served as a governor in Judah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cIt was while I was\nserving as governor \u2013 my last year in that position, in fact \u2013 that I began to\nhave such visions as I had never had. I began to clearly see the heart of the\nLord for His people. For the first time in my life I realized how futile and\nhow insufficient the burnt offerings and sacrifices were in God\u2019s eyes. There\nwas little meaning to them in the eyes of the people. They had become routine,\nritualistic and without any life.<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u201cThe Lord began to\ngive me some very strong rebukes to the nation and to the priests and leaders. Part\nof the rebuke came as a vivid picture of the way they treated sin and how\ninconsequential they considered some of their acts to be. If you remember how\nthe Lord gave it to me, it went like this:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cCome now, and let us reason together, saith<\/span> the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall\nbe as white as snow; though they be red like
\ncrimson, they shall be as wool.If<\/span> ye be willing and\nobedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye\nshall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.\u201d<\/span><\/i>[See Isaiah 1:18-20]<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cThe\nLord was basically saying to the people, \u2018You treat your sins as though they be\na redness in the skin when leprosy first begins; I\u2019m telling you that I see\nyour sins as the whiteness that happens when leprosy is far advanced. You see\nsome of your sins as a dark red \u2013 such as that which happens when leprosy\nbegins to advance to a dangerous stage \u2013 but I\u2019m telling you that I see your\nsins like the fully-flourished leprosy (like wool) when flesh begins to fall\noff and people begin to lose parts of their body.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cIt was about as\ngraphic an illustration as I could give them! It was something they would\nquickly relate to, and it grieved me in my heart to have to say it to them. Nevertheless,\nthey had to hear it, and they had to hear it in a way that quickly grip them\nand stop them in their tracks. It didn\u2019t dawn on me at the time that this was a\nword of warning to the king, Uzziah<\/span>, because of the\narrogance and self-sufficiency that had developed in him towards the Lord. He\nwas in mortal danger because of what was happening in his mind and heart. Not\nlong thereafter, he tried to enter the Temple and offer up incense \u2013 something\nreserved exclusively for the priests.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cNext, I had to liken\nJerusalem and its leadership to that of a prostitute who sold herself to the\nhighest bidder. Many of the priests and the princes in Judah had abandoned\ntheir responsibilities for the sake of their own financial gain.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>As Isaiah was sharing\nthese graphic portrayals of what God had given him to speak to the people, I\ncouldn\u2019t help but cringe. My mouth must have really turned down and my facial\nexpression very sour as he was giving his descriptions, and he caught it\nimmediately.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cYou see?\u201d he\nsaid.\u201cYou are reacting just like the people did when I delivered that word to\nthem. It wasn\u2019t pleasant, I know, but they needed to hear it in the same way\nyou did. They needed to have the Word of the Lord impact them in such a way as\nto cause them to change their lives and alter their path before God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cIt was in Uzziah\u2019s<\/span> last year as king of Judah, however, that I began to\nsee the Lord as never before. That was when I saw Him seated on His Throne with\nall of the hosts of Heaven on display, the seraphim speaking and crying out,\nshouting, \u2018Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts! The whole earth throughout is\nfilled with His Glory!\u2019\u201d<\/span>
\n<\/span>I interrupted his\nnarrative to ask, \u201cYou mean you actually saw this? Like seeing into Heaven\nitself? It wasn\u2019t just a vision?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>He nodded his head\nand laughed.\u201cAre you here in Heaven with me, now, or is this a vision you\u2019re\nhaving? Does it matter? Would this be any less real to you if you thought this\nwas a vision as opposed to being here?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>I got it immediately.\nThough I\u2019d seen my body lying in the bed as I gripped Jesus\u2019 hand and we were\nsoaring heavenward leaving my bedroom behind, being here in Heaven was as\ntangible as if being here in my physical body. And it really didn\u2019t<\/b>\nmatter! It wouldn\u2019t have impacted me any greater had I been there physically in\nflesh and blood.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Isaiah continued.\u201cYou\nneed to see this picture, Son! The impact of the seraphim speaking was so\npowerful that it literally caused the doorposts and the threshold of the Temple\nto shake and move. That\u2019s when I knew I was unfit to stand and speak on behalf\nof the Lord. Whatever I\u2019d seen, whatever I\u2019d learned, whatever I thought I knew\njust didn\u2019t stand up to His Glory and His presence!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cThat\u2019s when one of\nthe seraphim came down and put a hot coal on my lips and told me that my\nnatural tendencies and character bends or flaws towards committing certain\nsins, as well as the sins of my past, had all been erased, blotted out, and\nmade as though they\u2019d never existed. For the first time in my life I suddenly\nfelt like I could actually speak on God\u2019s behalf without any fear of\ncontaminating or altering His Word in any way! It was life-changing! You can\nunderstand, therefore, why when I heard the voice cry out, \u2018Whom shall I send\nor who will go for us,\u2019 that I felt free enough to answer, \u2018Here am I, Lord. Send\nme!\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>A vision of what\nIsaiah had seen flashed before me and relating to what he\u2019d experienced was\neasy. My reaction was an unqualified, \u201cWOW!\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cWhatever happened to\nme in that moment transcended everything in my past. I felt clean! From that\nday forward change took place in me. Over the years that followed there was a\ncontinual pursuit to know the heart of the Lord as I had never known. I desired\nto know and understand the revelation of the coming Messiah.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cIt must have been\nvery rewarding to you, then, to have the Father reveal Jesus to you in the way\nthat He did,\u201d I responded.\u201cThe prophecies you were given concerning His coming\nwere the most detailed and specific prophecies I believe I have seen anywhere\nin the Word. There were other prophets, of course, to whom the Lord gave revelation\nconcerning His coming, His life and His death and resurrection, but no one that\nI can think of offhand who received such a revelation as you did.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>\u201cMost of my\nsuccessors received some marvelous revelations of His coming and His life, and\none ought not diminish in any way that which the Father revealed to them or\nconsider it of less importance. You are correct, however, in saying that what\nHe gave to me was very specific and detailed. Those revelations, given over a\nspan of some 50 years, became the very foundation of Israel\u2019s expectation of\nwhat to look for in the years ahead.<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u201cIt was an honor that\nno words can properly express. That He would entrust that revelation to me and\npermit me to share it with the nation as the foundation of what they should be\nwatching for\u2026\u2026 well, you understand! Each successive revelation brought change\nto me and to my character.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/span>I would like to go\ninto more depth in my conversations with Isaiah, but what I\u2019ve shared here\ncaptures the most important aspects of the time I spent with him. We\u2019ll move on\nand pick up in our next Coffee Break with my meeting the prophet, Jeremiah. From\nJeremiah we\u2019ll discuss the meetings and conversations with Ezekiel and Daniel\nbefore moving on to the Apostles.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Though 2011 has already been a\ndifficult year \u2013 and it is going to get even more difficult in the weeks and\nmonths ahead-- God is going to show His hand on behalf of His people,\nespecially those who believe His Word and trust Him implicitly! <\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n
