We\u2019ve\ngot a lot of ground to cover today, so let\u2019s dispense with the preliminaries\nand get right to it.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

THE POWER OF WORDS AND THE LANGUAGE OF THE SPIRIT<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Genesis 1:28<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>28<\/span><\/sup>And God blessed them,\nand God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and\nsubdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the\nair, and over every living thing that moveth<\/span> upon the\nearth.<\/span>\n<\/o:p>\n<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Genesis 2:7<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>7<\/span><\/sup><\/i>And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the\n ground, and breathed (<\/span><\/i>naphach<\/span><\/i><\/span>: to puff, to blow hard, to create a short wind<\/u>) into his\n nostrils the breath of life<\/span><\/i> <\/span>(ne<\/sup>shamah<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/i>--\n the divine breath, the vital wind, the divine intellect and inspiration<\/u><\/span><\/i>); and man became a living soul.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Since God is a Spirit\n(John 4:24) we can say that the very breath and life that comes from His mouth\ninto us is His Spirit. By the same token, because wind \u2014 breath \u2014<\/span> <\/span>ruach<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>came forth from His\nmouth when He spoke the words of Creation, there is an inseparable link between\nthe Words of His mouth and the Spirit.<\/span>\n<\/o:p>\n<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Words, therefore, are\n the language of the Spirit.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We understand then\nwhat Solomon wrote when he said,<\/span>\n<\/span>\u201cDeath and life are in\nthe power of the tongue.\u201d<\/span><\/i> <\/span>By the same token, we\nhave David\u2019s statement when he writes,<\/span>\n<\/span>\u201cFor there is not a\nword in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest<\/span> it\naltogether.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Understand?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There is an\nindissoluble link between the words of our mouth and the Spirit realm. We are\nfirst and foremost spirit beings. The spirit part of our existence has\npreeminence over the soul and the body.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The words of our\nmouth originate in the realm of the spirit. They have a realm of authority that\nsupersedes every other realm.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Consider what Paul\nwrites to the Hebrews:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hebrews 1:1-3<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>1<\/span><\/sup><\/i>God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake<\/span> in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2<\/sup>Hath\nin these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of\nall things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3<\/sup>Who being the\nbrightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all\nthings by the word of his power<\/u>, when he had by himself purged our sins,\nsat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Get it? He upholds or\nsustains and energizes ALL THINGS by the Word (<\/span>rhema<\/span><\/i><\/span>: the direct, spoken, articulated Word<\/u><\/span><\/i>) of His power (<\/span>dunamis<\/span><\/i><\/span>: force, ability \u2014 specifically, miraculous power<\/u><\/span><\/i>).<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Where does that power\ncome from? It is inherent in the Spirit of God.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In order to better\n(?) explain where I\u2019m coming from, let me take you briefly into the world of\nQuantum Physics.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Quantum physics is a\nbranch of science that deals with discrete, indivisible units of energy called\nquanta as described by the Quantum Theory. There are five main ideas\nrepresented in Quantum Theory:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

1. Energy is not continuous, but comes in small but discrete\nunits.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

2. The elementary particles behave both like particles and<\/i>\nlike waves.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

3. The movement of these particles is inherently random.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

4. It is physically impossible<\/i> to know both the\nposition and the momentum of a particle at the same time. The more precisely\none is known, the less precise the measurement of the other is.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

5. The atomic world is nothing<\/i> like the world we live\nin.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let me explain it by\nquoting from the results of an experiment by the physicist, Niels<\/span>\nBohr.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Sometimes a particle\nacts like a particle and other times it acts like a wave. So which is it?\nAccording to Niels<\/span> Bohr, who worked in Copenhagen\nwhen he presented what is now known as the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum\ntheory, \u201cthe particle is what you measure it to be. When it looks like a\nparticle, it is<\/i> a particle. When it looks like a wave, it is<\/i> a\nwave. Furthermore, it is meaningless to ascribe any properties or even\nexistence to anything that has not been measured.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Bohr is basically\nsaying that nothing is real unless and until it is observed<\/i>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s take this\nanother step.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

An electron, when\nobserved, changes from a wave to a particle. Matter changes at the atomic and\nsubatomic level depending on the following circumstances:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

1. Emotions<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

2. Feelings<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

3. Strong Desires<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But it is neither\nemotions themselves, nor feelings themselves, nor strong desires alone that\nchange matter.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In Proverbs, we are\ntold the following:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Proverbs\n23:7<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>As (he) a man thinketh<\/span> in his heart,\nso is he.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We then correlate\nthat with something that Jesus said:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Matthew\n12:34-37<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>34<\/span><\/sup><\/i>O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good\nthings? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh<\/span><\/u>.\n35<\/sup>A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth<\/span> forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil\ntreasure bringeth<\/span> forth evil things. 36<\/sup>But\nI say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give\naccount thereof in the day of judgment. 37<\/sup>For by thy words thou shalt<\/span> be justified, and by thy words thou shalt<\/span> be condemned<\/u>.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

THE (LEGAL) POWER OF OUR WORDS<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

It is important to\nunderstand this connection between the heart and the mouth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Notice that Jesus\nsays, \u201cThat every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account\nthereof in the day of judgment.\u201d What is He referring to?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

An \u201cidle\u201d word,\naccording to the Greek text, is<\/span> <\/span>argos<\/span><\/i><\/span>: any inactive or unemployed word; a useless word<\/u><\/span><\/i>.<\/span> <\/span>In case you haven\u2019t quite gotten it\nyet, any \u201cidle\u201d word is a word that didn\u2019t come from the Spirit of the Lord.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Words that come out\nof evil spirits are \u2014 legally \u2014 unemployed, unemployable, and useless. Words\nthat come forth from our mouths that don\u2019t originate in our relationship with\nthe Lord lack in legal authority.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s see if we can\nput it another way. God\u2019s Word is backed by His power \u2014 His dunamis<\/i><\/span>.\nHis Word, therefore, is active and employed.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus put it like\nthis:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

John\n6:63<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>63<\/span><\/sup><\/i>It is the spirit that quickeneth<\/span>; the\nflesh profiteth<\/span> nothing: the words that I speak\nunto you, they are spirit, and they are life<\/u>.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus Jesus makes the\nSpirit-mouth-life connection. He makes clear that words which simply come out\nof our flesh are profitless, whereas words which come out of the Spirit of God\nhave energy, life, power, authority, and creative power.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Think about it like\nthis: if \u201call things\u201d are kept in place, sustained, energized and made\noperational \u201cby the rhema<\/i><\/span> of God\u201d then\nwhatever He speaks to us which we in turn<\/i> speak carries the same power,\nforce, energy, life and authority. It is not simply us speaking something out\nof our own imagination: we are now giving voice to that which God has spoken in\nour spirits.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There\u2019s another\naspect of the legal activation and empowerment of the words (or Word) which\ncomes forth from our mouths. Paul writes the following:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hebrews\n11:1-3<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>1<\/span><\/sup><\/i>Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of\nthings not seen. 2<\/sup>For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3<\/sup>Through\nfaith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God<\/u>, so that\nthings which are seen were not made of things which do appear.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

FAITH SUSTAINS, ENERGIZES AND ACTIVATES OUR WORDS<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

The worlds were\nframed by the Word of God. Material substance appeared, made from things at the\nspirit-level which do not appear in the natural realm.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s revisit the\nsome of the aspects of Quantum Physics for a minute in order to explain this\nphenomenon.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

First of all, Quantum\nPhysics is the study of the behavior of matter and energy at the molecular,\natomic, nuclear, and even smaller microscopic levels. Early in the 20th\ncentury, scientists discovered that laws that govern macroscopic objects do not\nfunction the same in such small realms.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The word \u201cquantum\u201d\ncomes from the Latin meaning \u201chow much.\u201d It refers to discrete units of matter\nand energy that are observed and predicted in quantum physics. Even space and\ntime, which appear to be extremely continuous, have smallest possible values.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In the realm of\nquantum physics, observing something actually influences the physical processes\ntaking place. Light waves act like particles and particles act like waves\n(called \u201cwave particle duality). Matter can go from one spot to another without\nmoving through the intervening space (called quantum tunneling<\/i>).\nInformation moves instantly across vast distances.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In fact, in quantum\nmechanics we discover that the entire universe is actually a series of\nprobabilities. Fortunately, it breaks down when dealing with large objects.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Quantum physics,\ntherefore, is actually a means of expressing how faith operates.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Matter \u2014 substance \u2014\ncan go from one spot to another without moving through the intervening space.\nFaith is the transporter.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Information \u2014\ncreative commands spoken according to and in conjunction with the will of God \u2014\nmove instantly across vast distances. We use the term \u201cvast distances\u201d only in\nrelative terms, meaning measurable distances within the universe.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The term \u201cvast distances,\u201d\nhowever, has little application when applied to the realm of the Spirit since\nthere really is no distance between the realm of the Spirit and the\ntime-space-based realm we refer to (incorrectly) as \u201cthe natural realm.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve all heard the\nfavorite clich\u00e9 that \u201cthere is no distance in prayer.\u201d That is absolutely true.\nLikewise, there is no distance in faith.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Allow me to define\nfaith like this:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Faith is nothing more\nand nothing less than the transport of material substance \u2014 in the spirit-realm\n\u2014 from one dimension to another. Faith is the ability to see something (whether\nan object, an act, or a state of being) and visualize, and then speak forth,\ncalling \u201cthose things which are not (in the time-space realm) as though they\nwere.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The power to do this\nis activated and energized directly by our hearing God\u2019s Word. Let me be more\nspecific.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Romans 10:17<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>17<\/span><\/sup><\/i>So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing\nby the<\/span><\/i> <\/span>(rhema<\/span><\/span>)<\/span><\/i> <\/span>word of God.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You see the\ndistinction don\u2019t you? Faith \u2014 that creative energy and force, that law of\nquantum physics \u2014 becomes active and operational first<\/b> by hearing that\nwhich we look for and expect to see visibly, and secondly<\/b> by virtue of\nthe fact that what we are hearing is coming directly from the mouth of God.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We are hearing the\nsame creative force that caused light to come into existence. We are hearing\nthat same creative force that caused the worlds to be. We are hearing that same\nrhema<\/i><\/span> sound that came forth from the mouth of\nGod when He spoke into Adam and Eve the following words:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Genesis 1:28a<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>28<\/span><\/sup><\/i>And God blessed them, and God said unto them,\nBe fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have\ndominion\u2026..<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It was true the\ninstant the words came forth from God\u2019s mouth. Adam and Eve were fruitful, they\nhad the capacity to multiply, to fill up the earth, to subdue all the forces\nthat existed on earth \u2014 including Satan who had already been cast out of heaven\nwith a third of the angels \u201cto the earth\u201d (Revelation 12:4) \u2014 and they had\ncomplete dominion over every living creature (except man), every animal, every\nbird, every fish:<\/span> <\/span>\u201cover every living thing that moveth<\/span>\nupon the earth.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When God called those\nthings that \u201cwere not\u201d in the time-space world \u201cas though they were,\u201d He\ncreated matter, set events in motion, and breathed life into the beings He had\nformed from the dust of the earth \u201cin His likeness and image.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve covered a lot\nof territory today, but we\u2019ve got a ways to go yet in this phase of our\ndiscussion on the Keys of the Kingdom, and I\u2019m going to try and wrap it up in\nthe next two or three Coffee Breaks. See you in a few days.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
