Howdy!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nyou\u2019ve never had to deal with this thing they call \u201cShingles\u201d I recommend you\ndon\u2019t<\/span><\/b>.\nIt isn\u2019t particularly fun. The Doc says it comes from the Chicken Pox virus I\nhad as a kid. The virus goes dormant in your nervous system and for most folks\nnever bothers them again. Apparently it tends to reappear as an adult version\nof the Chicken Pox in people mostly over the age of 50 if their immune system\nis weakened for some reason or their body is subjected to extreme stress.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Looks like I\n\u201cqualified\u201d under the \u201cextreme stress\u201d identifier when I went through a week of\nextreme activity getting less than three hours of sleep each night and eating\npoorly during those days. My bad! The pox \u201cshingles\u201d appeared as a rash around\nmy waist on the right side only. By the time I got to the doctor the pain was\nalmost debilitating. He gave me a prescription for a steroid to deal with the\nexternal manifestations but told me I\u2019d have to really quiet down until the\ninternal eruptions (in the nerves) quit.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The internal pain has\nalmost ceased except for occasional moments of bursts of pain which cause the\nmuscles in my back to contract and require chiropractic adjustments to my lower\nspine in order to minimize the pain. My advice to you, if you\u2019ve had chicken\npox and you\u2019re over 50 is, Don\u2019t overdo things physically and put your body\nunder extreme duress. It\u2019ll cost you!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Meanwhile, Thank God\nfor healing; and thanks to all of you who\u2019ve known about it and have been\npraying for me. I\u2019ve only had to deal with this for a little over two weeks\ninstead of six months like some folks.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Enough of that. Let\u2019s\nget back to our study and discussion on the Keys of the Kingdom.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM\nARE DESIGNED TO RELEASE HEAVEN ON EARTH<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In our last Coffee Break, we were\ntalking about Jesus talking to the fig tree and the disciples expressing utter\namazement over Jesus\u2019 authority being so demonstrated over our natural\nenvironment.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What they had forgotten in this\ninstance is the fact that it was the spoken Word that caused trees to exist in\nthe first place. Since Jesus was the One who spoke those Creation words in the\nfirst place, it shouldn\u2019t have been surprising that He had the ability to also\ncommand them to die.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But the disciples were just beginning\nto get a grip on the fact that Jesus WAS that same Word \u2014 that He was the\nCreator! What came forth from Jesus\u2019 mouth was substance: it was faith!\nRemember how Paul put it when writing his epistle to the Hebrews?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hebrews 11:1-3<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Now faith is the\nsubstance of things hoped for<\/u>, the evidence of things not seen. For by it\nthe elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds\nwere framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made\nof things which do appear<\/u>.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What came forth from Jesus\u2019 mouth when\nHe spoke to the fig tree was that kind of evidentiary substance \u2014 the substance\nthat produced either creative life, or the cancelation of life for that tree.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The faith that came forth from Jesus\u2019\nmouth was the same creative power that spoke the world into existence, the same\ncreative breath that He breathed into Adam and Eve and gave them the ability to\nspeak creatively to the animals so that they became whatever Adam spoke.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When the animals were brought before\nAdam \u201cto see what he would call them\u201d (Genesis 2:19) \u201cwhatsoever Adam called (<\/span>\u2018<\/span><\/i>qara<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span>\n<\/span>pronounced\nor proclaimed<\/span><\/u>)\nevery living creature, that was the name (shem<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/span> <\/span>character,\nmakeup, essence, position<\/span><\/u> <\/span>[the word<\/span> <\/span>shem<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>in\nHebrew is identical in every respect to the Greek<\/span>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>)<\/span>\n<\/span>thereof.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It is vitally important that we\nunderstand just how important the words of our mouth are. The Keys of the\nKingdom \u2014 authority and power \u2014 are turned, activated, and put into force by\nthe words of our mouth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let me say that again.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The Keys of the Kingdom depend entirely\nupon our speaking in order for them to unlock or lock Heaven\u2019s resources. How\nwe use the words of our mouth directly controls the use of the keys.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

IT TAKES WORDS --\nSPEAKING OUT LOUD -- TO RELEASE HEAVEN'S RESOURCES<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If we speak the Word of God \u2014 not\nsimply the<\/span> <\/span>logos<\/span><\/i>,<\/span> <\/span>but\nthe<\/span> <\/span>rhema<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>\u2014<\/span> <\/span>as we hear it from the Lord, there will\nbe direct results produced.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Similarly, if we speak contrary to the\nWord of God, we use something that was specifically designed by the Lord to\nactivate the Kingdom to further a personal agenda, or to advocate for the\ndesires and lusts of our flesh; and in so doing suffer personally because of\nit.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve sort of beat around the bush to\nget there, but let\u2019s take a look now at what Jesus actually said to the\ndisciples following their reaction to the drying up of the fig tree.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Mark 11:22-26<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>And Jesus answering saith<\/span> unto them, Have (<\/span><\/i>ech\u00f4<\/span><\/i><\/span>: possess, retain, hold onto, keep) [the]\nfaith [of] in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto (<\/span><\/i>ep\u00f4<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/i>\n<\/span>command, call,\ndeclare, decree<\/span><\/u><\/i>)\nthis mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not\ndoubt (<\/span><\/i>diakrino<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/i> <\/span>oppose, hesitate, discriminate, waver<\/span><\/u><\/i>) in his heart, but shall believe (<\/span><\/i>pisteuo<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/i>\n<\/span>have faith in, to\nentrust fully<\/span><\/u><\/i>) that those things\nwhich he saith<\/span> shall come to pass; he shall have (<\/span><\/i>esomai<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/i>\n<\/span>will be<\/span><\/u><\/i>) whatsoever he saith<\/span>.\n<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever<\/span>\nye desire, when ye pray (<\/span><\/i>proseuchomai<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/i>\n<\/span>request or require in\nthe covenant<\/span><\/u><\/i>), believe (<\/span><\/i>pisteuo<\/span><\/i><\/span>) that ye receive them, and ye shall have\nthem. And when ye stand praying, forgive (<\/span><\/i>aphiemi<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/i>\n<\/span>remit, dissolve, cause\nto cease to exist<\/span><\/u><\/i>),\nif ye have ought<\/span> against any: that your Father also\nwhich is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses (<\/span><\/i>paraptoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/i>\n<\/span>side slip, lapse in\njudgment, error\u2014intentional or unintentional, sin<\/span><\/u><\/i>). But if ye do not forgive, neither will your\nFather which is in heaven forgive (<\/span><\/i>aphiemi<\/span><\/i><\/span>) your trespasses.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It takes<\/span>\n<\/span>agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span>to do that. It takes<\/span> <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i>-<\/span>activated\nand energized faith to dissolve, to banish, to erase the faults and offenses of\nothers. This, folks, is the primary \u2014 the first and greatest \u2014 use of the Keys\nof the Kingdom.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The remitting of others\u2019 sins, offenses\nor debts towards you is a demonstration of the life within the Kingdom of\nHeaven. We extend the Kingdom to those we forgive. Grace is on display.<\/span> <\/span>Agape<\/span><\/i> <\/span>is\non display. Jesus is being manifested and demonstrated.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Once again, let me emphasize the fact\nthat this forgiveness \u2014 this remission\/erasure \u2014 of sin is not simply something\nyou think in your mind. It takes more than simply thinking \u201cI forgive you\u201d to\nmake it effective and enforced. Those words must come out of your mouth. The\nactual substance of forgiveness is the faith of God.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There is nothing silent about faith,\njust as there is nothing silent about<\/span>\n<\/span>agape<\/span><\/i>.<\/span> <\/span>Words\n\u2014 Jesus-filled words \u2014 must come forth audibly so that the recipient of\nforgiveness receives the faith to believe he or she is forgiven.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Here\u2019s how the apostle Paul put it:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Romans 10:17<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span>So then faith cometh by hearing (<\/span><\/i>akoe<\/span><\/i><\/span>), and hearing by the word (<\/span><\/i>rhema<\/span><\/i><\/span>) of God.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

A person must<\/span> <\/span>hear<\/span><\/i> <\/span>the Word before faith can be activated.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The ability to hear with faith \u2014 with\nrevelation \u2014 is released by the utterance: the<\/span>\n<\/span>rhema<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span> <\/span>the\ndirectly spoken Word of God.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Nothing \u2014 absolutely nothing \u2014 exists\nin this world today that did not come into being before words were spoken.\nCreative power is released with audible words.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

By the same token destructive power is\nreleased with audible words.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We won\u2019t spend a lot of time on this\naspect because I want to at least lay the foundation today for a different\nrealm of words (keys which release and unlock Heaven\u2019s authority and power in a\ncompletely different dimension) but the concept of \u201cbinding\u201d \u2014 withholding,\nlocking up, restricting or stopping \u2014 also requires speaking out loud.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Take a quick look at an illustrative\nevent in Jesus\u2019 ministry.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Matthew 12:22-32<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b>\n<\/span>Then was brought unto\nhim one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch\nthat the blind and dumb both spake<\/span> and saw. And all\nthe people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? But when the\nPharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by\nBeelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said\nunto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and\nevery city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast\nout Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And\nif I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out?\ntherefore they shall be your judges.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But if I cast out\ndevils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how\ncan one enter into a strong man\u2019s house, and spoil his goods, except he first\nbind the strong man<\/u>? and then he will spoil his house. He that is not with\nme is against me; and he that gathereth<\/span> not with me scattereth<\/span> abroad. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of\nsin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the\nHoly Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh<\/span>\na word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh<\/span> against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven\nhim, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Here is an instance in which the\nPharisees were directly challenging Jesus\u2019 authority to heal, to deliver, or to\nforgive. They questioned His status as THE Son of God, and because of their\nreligious legalism, felt that there was no way Jesus could possibly do what He\nwas doing except by demonic power. As a result, they accused Jesus of casting\nout demons using Satan\u2019s power. What the Pharisees failed to recognize was that\nJesus not only had power \u2014 the power that cast out the evil spirits that caused\nthe young man to be both blind and dumb \u2014 He had authority \u2014 the Authority of\nFather with the full backing of Heaven\u2019s hosts.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

LOCKING UP SATAN IN ORDER\nTO RELEASE HEAVEN'S RESOURCES<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Heaven\u2019s resources include sight and\nspeech. Those resources had been stolen from this young man by the thief. One\nof the things Jesus had spoken when His ministry began was:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

John\n10:10<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>The\nthief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that\nthey might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus made it clear that any loss that\npeople suffer is because of the thief, and that included sight, hearing,\nspeech, or the loss of the proper and designed use of any organ of the human\nbody.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When He said, \u201cI am come that they\nmight have life, and that they might have it more abundantly,\u201d He was saying\nthat He came to restore the full benefits of the Kingdom of God \u2014 the Kingdom\nof Heaven. The Amplified Version puts it like this:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cI came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in\nabundance \u2014 to the full, till it overflows.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He came to restore access to a Garden\nof Eden lifestyle. But that access would come by eating of the Tree of Life,\nand not the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The Pharisees accused Jesus of using\nSatan\u2019s power (\u201cby Beelzebub, the prince of devils\u201d) to cast out the evil\nspirits that withheld the man\u2019s sight and speech.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So Jesus made it clear that the\nauthority to cast out evil spirits \u2014 one of the uses of the Keys of the Kingdom\n\u2014 was demonstrated by binding Satan \u2014 restraining him, withholding his power\nand locking him out of his place where he tormented this man.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus likewise made it clear that Satan\ndoes not bind Satan; else Satan\u2019s house will fall. Satan \u2014 as the strongman (ischuros<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/span> <\/span>one who applies\nforce; also means one who is boisterous \u2014 a loudmouth<\/span><\/u>) uses both words and\nforce to keep people in chains.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Most believers have not built\nthemselves up in the Holy Ghost sufficiently to exercise power over Satan.\nJesus, therefore, put it like this:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Luke 10:19-20<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Behold, I give unto you (<\/span><\/i>exousia<\/span><\/i><\/span>) authority to tread on serpents and\nscorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means\nhurt you.<\/span><\/i> <\/span>Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are\nsubject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That authority is a part of the use of\nthe Keys of the Kingdom. It is the authority to overcome the power of the Enemy\nand set people free!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In our next Coffee Break we\u2019ll pick up\non Jesus\u2019 command for forgiveness \u2013 let\u2019s make that \u201cremission\u201d instead.\nForgiveness and Remission are fundamental to the use of the Keys of the Kingdom\nas we shall see \u2013 and we\u2019re not just talking about forgiving those who\u2019ve hurt\nyou or offended you personally!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
