Greetings, Solutions, Salutations, and Good Morning, Good\nMorning, Good Morning!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

We're back home in Sunnyside, Washington after nearly\nthree weeks of travel.  Those of you who are individual subscribers to\nthese Coffee Breaks will have received K-E XXVI while we were still in\nCanada.  I was unable to post to the MSN, Yahoo and Google boards while\nthere; and subscribers to the various boards had to wait to receive their posts\nuntil we were back in the good old U.S. of A.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

We got exposed to a new flavor of coffee on the trip, but\nI'll save my comments on that coffee for a later Coffee Break.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

So much has happened in the past weeks, it's hard to know\nwhere to actually begin.  As the title of today's edition shows, we are\ntaking a break from the series on Kingdom Economics to share some currently\nunfolding miraculous events.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Because I took time out of the previous Coffee Break to\nshare some of the miracles that had happened in Lakeland, Florida -- and then\nreceived a flood of responses -- I thought it appropriate to comment openly\nregarding some of the statements that I made, as well make one clarification\nconcerning the first miracle reported.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Several responses concerning the report of the three-year-old\ngirl who was raised from the dead at the Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando came\nfrom people within the medical community -- some positive, and some critical.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

First, let's clarify one thing.  Although I first\nreported that the three-year-old girl's body was put in cold storage following\nthe pronouncement of her death at 9:00 PM on that Monday night, there are some\nconflicting reports.  The first report that I heard was that the girl's\nbody had indeed been put into a locker and held in cold storage until the\ntransplant team could arrive.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

I spoke with a medical doctor concerning this, and he told\nme that while this may not be normal protocol, depending on the transplant\nrecipient patient's proximity and other time factors, there were occasions when\nthis procedure was followed.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Some nurses responded to my report and said that they\nsimply couldn't believe anyone would follow such unorthodox protocol with a\nchild who was only pronounced brain dead.  The same doctor who told me\nthat this procedure, while not normal, could be followed also stated that once\nbrain death is declared, the body can either be kept on life-support to sustain\nother organs, or those life-support measures can be removed as long as the\norgans designated for transplant are held at a specified temperature under\ncarefully controlled conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The news director at Orlando's CBS outlet pooh-poohed the\nwhole story because he talked to the hospital's administration concerning the\nevent, but never took the story further.  The hospital, of course, downplayed\nthe story saying that the doctors who pronounced the girl "brain\ndead" had simply made a mistake, and that she really wasn't dead after\nall.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

I spoke with some other medical professionals who chuckled\nover the hospital's back-track on the story.  Their answer was,\n"they're just covering their rear ends because they don't believe in\nmiracles, and they don't want other folks to doubt their competency as medical\nprofessionals."<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Here are the facts as I presently know them.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

1.  The girl was pronounced dead -- whether\n"brain dead" or otherwise -- at 9:00 PM Monday night.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

2.  Funeral preparations were underway for later in\nthe week.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

3.  The parents signed off on an organ-donor form for\nuse of certain of the girl's organs.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

4.  The organ-removal team was scheduled for a\nTuesday AM removal of certain organs from the girl's body.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

5.  An unavoidable delay caused them to re-schedule\nfor Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

6.  The girl's mother was watching Todd Bentley's\nhealing meetings on GOD TV and heard some spectacular testimonies of seven\nother people being raised from the dead -- some having been dead for rather\nlengthy periods.  She prayed and said, "Father, if you are doing this\nfor other people, you can do this for my daughter as well; and I'm asking you\nto bring my daughter back to life."<\/span><\/p>\n\n

7.  On Wednesday, when the organ-removal team showed\nup to begin the process, following preparation of the body for the procedure\nand just prior to making the first incision, the girl began to cough.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

8.  Today, the three-year-old girl is alive and well,\nthank you very much!  The Lord brought her back, and it matters not\nwhether medical protocols were right, wrong or indifferent.  She's alive\nand alive through the power of God functioning in direct accordance with His\nWord.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Those are the facts, and they are not in dispute, no\nmatter how the hospital or unbelieving members of the news media may want to\notherwise explain them away.  Maybe we haven't heard the end of this\nstory, yet, but that's all for me barring updates yet to come.  In my\nbook, God receives credit for the raising of this young girl.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

My comments concerning the "unbelieving news\nmedia," incidentally, should not be construed as a blanket criticism of\nthe media.  My years in radio and television broadcasting included several\nstints in freelance reporting for NBC, CBS, and ABC, and I've had many friends\nthroughout the years in the news media -- both electronic and print -- who are\npeople of real integrity with true ethics when it comes to reporting the truth.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Last week, I wrote an abbreviated article for the local\nnewspaper bearing the same title as this Coffee Break; and in it I noted that\nTodd Bentley -- the evangelist from British Columbia with whom the Holy Spirit\nhas been working in this miracle outpouring -- is not your seen-one-seen-em<\/span>-all preacher.  He is an ex-biker, tattooed from\nhead to foot (and even fingers) whom the Lord Jesus Christ redeemed, delivered,\nset free and filled with His Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

His presentation and mannerisms are far from the polished,\nprofessional, "churchy" preacher-image we are used to seeing.  I\nfreely admit that the first time I saw Todd, my reaction was, "Lord,\nyou've got<\/b> to be kidding!"<\/span><\/p>\n\n

He comes across more as an emotional carnival barker than\na sold-out, servant of the Most High God.  The fruit of his ministry,\nhowever, far overshadows his biker image.  In the past ten years, Todd has\nled more than a million souls to the saving, delivering, healing and Holy\nSpirit-filling knowledge of Jesus Christ.  More than that, he has the\naccompanying proofs of his ministry that Jesus Christ promises to all who\nbelieve.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

"And these signs shall follow\nthem that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with\nnew tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing,\nit shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall\nrecover." <\/span><\/i><\/b> (Mark\n16:17-18)<\/span><\/p>\n\n

That's black and white, folks!  Make no\nmistake.  These signs follow those who believe -- not those who\ndon't!  <\/b> Furthermore, Jesus sent his followers out with this\ncommand<\/span>: "Heal the sick,\ncleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received,\nfreely give." <\/i><\/b><\/span> (Matthew\n10:8)<\/span><\/p>\n\n

That was not a divine suggestion, nor was it some\nmystical, metaphysical theory.  It was a command Jesus gave with the full\nexpectation that they would do just that -- literally.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

That said, I am personally the recipient of not less than\nthree separate miracles of healing through the Todd Bentley healing outpouring\n-- and I wasn't even present in Lakeland, Florida!  Della and I were visiting\nMary Ellen in Red Deer, Alberta during much of the time we spent in Canada\nduring the last three weeks.  Mary Ellen doesn't have access to GOD TV,\nand her Internet connection is a dialup connection you'd never want to use\ntrying to watch by streaming video.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

My mother-in-law, Opal Hendershot<\/span>,\nwatches GOD TV faithfully every night, and is tuned into this wave of miracles\ntaking place.  While at Mary Ellen's, she would call Mom on the phone, Mom\nwould place the phone in front of the television speaker, and we would listen\non Mary Ellen's speakerphone.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let me share with you the first of these three miracles\ntoday, and I'll share the rest in the next Coffee Break.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

For a variety of reasons, I've been loath to talk about\nthe fact that I've been experiencing an onset of arthritis.  Della has\nfrequently said to me in recent months, "Honey, straighten up!  You\nwalk like an old man.  You shuffle everywhere you go."<\/span><\/p>\n\n

I finally said to her one day not long ago, "It's\nbecause I'm in pain.  My legs and feet are stiff when I get up after\nsitting for awhile, and it's hard to walk until they limber up."  Her\nresponse was, "Then it's time to do something about this!" \nObviously, Della wasn't talking about going to the doctor, either.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Three days or so into our visit at Mary Ellen's, we were\nlistening over the telephone to the miracles of healing taking place in\nLakeland, and Todd Bentley received a word of knowledge concerning folks being\nhealed of arthritis.  I said to myself, "That's great!", but\nbecause I didn't feel any electricity or heat or tingles or any other\nsensation, just figured it was for someone else.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The next morning, we drove into town (Mary Ellen lives out\nin the country), and I rode in the back of her van.  When we stopped, I\nstepped out of the van and suddenly realized there was no stiffness, no\nrestriction of any kind, no pain, no nothing!  I shouted to Della and Mary\nEllen, "I'm healed!" and started dancing around the van.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

In the days since, I've kidded Della (who is a very fast\nwalker) saying, "I can walk faster than YOU can, I can walk faster than\nYOU can!"  And I can, too!  The pain, the stiffness, the\nslowness are completely gone.  Wow!  If you've never suffered with\narthritic pain or stiffness, it doesn't mean a lot, but for those who have,\nthere is no substitute for the freedom you have to move about freely after\nhaving fought arthritis.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Oh, and by the way, I've been very emotional about\nit!  Some folks have a problem with "all of the emotionalism"\nthat goes on in this miracle outpouring.  Sorry 'bout that.  Grin and\nbear it, folks.  It goes with the territory.  When the Lord sets\npeople free physically after they've suffered -- sometimes for many years --\nthey tend to get very emotional about it!  They get excited.  They\ndance all over the place.  They shake under the power of God.  They\nbehave like idiots.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Yup.  And who cares, anyway?  When I've been to\nprofessional football games, basketball games, baseball games, etc., fans tend\nto get really excited.  Their behavior isn't rational.  They do crazy\nthings in their excitement -- emotional things.  But nobody accuses them\nof "emotionalism."<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Just let the Lord pour out His Spirit in the way we are seeing\nin Lakeland, Florida -- and other places as well -- and all of a sudden,\n"that's nothing but a bunch of emotionalism!  It's just fakery and\npretense.  It's all hype and show!"<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Sure it is!  But it is God's show, and there's\nnothing fake about the thousands of people who are being healed, set free,\ndelivered from evil spirits and filled with the Holy Spirit.  There's\nnothing fake about the emotional displays, either!  They're real, and I --\nfor one -- will tell you that I get really emotional when I become the personal\nrecipient of one of these gifts of healing.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

We'll talk more about this in our next Coffee Break. \nI'm deliberately keeping my Coffee Breaks shorter for the sake of my friends\nand readers in the business community whose reading time is limited.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Healing is the gift of God.  It is part of the\nBlessing of Abraham restored by the Lord Jesus Christ to and for all who\nbelieve.  Do not for a minute think that sickness or infirmity is a\nblessing from the Lord.  It is a curse from Satan.  Jesus came to\nredeem us from that curse!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n

The Blessing of the Lord: it makes\nrich and He adds no painful toil and sorrow!<\/span><\/i><\/b>  <\/span>(Proverbs 10:22)  Be blessed!<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n\n
