Something that is important for us all to\nremember is the fact that the visible realm only exists because of the\ninvisible and eternal.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Prayer and intercession play a vital and integral role in\nprophecy.&nbsp; Dreams, visions and the visible appearance of the Lord or his\nmessengers, the angels, all serve a role in revealing to us what God has in\nstore for His people, but just knowing what God is saying and planning does not\nrelieve us of responsibility or accountability.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Jesus put it like this.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><b><i><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:maroon'>&quot;For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much\nrequired: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the\nmore.&quot;&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><\/b><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>&nbsp;(Luke 12:48b)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>When God begins to reveal things to us, we have an\naccompanying responsibility for that which He reveals.&nbsp; There are times\nwhen the Holy Spirit unveils things to us and shows us things to come that can\nbe changed or altered by our involvement and cooperation with the Lord.&nbsp;\nThe purpose of intercession is to bring to pass what God has shown and to\nimplement His Will and His heart's desire.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Let me take a minute to explain something else before we\ncontinue.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>We often talk about the will of God, and there is a\ntendency among many Christians (and even non-Christians alike who believe in\nGod but have not submitted to the Lord Jesus Christ) to lump the will of God\ninto a single category.&nbsp; What gets missed in the translation is that the\nWord of God uses different words to define God's will.&nbsp; Let's take a look\nat a few of them in order to get some proper context.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><b><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:red'>1.<\/span><\/b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>&nbsp;<\/span><span\nclass=SpellE><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:maroon'>Thelema<\/span><\/i><\/span><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\nfont-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>: This word\ndescribes determination, purpose, choice, intent, decree, desire, will.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><b><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:red'>2.<\/span><\/b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>&nbsp;<\/span><span\nclass=SpellE><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:maroon'>Prothesis<\/span><\/i><\/span><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\nfont-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>: A setting\nforth of intent and purpose.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><b><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:red'>3.&nbsp;<\/span><\/b><span class=SpellE><i><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:maroon'>Boul<\/span><\/i><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Batang;\nmso-bidi-font-family:Batang;color:maroon'>&#52309;<\/span><\/i><\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'>:&nbsp; There\nare other words in the Greek text similar to the above, but by far the\nmost-often occurring word in the N.T. text is the word,&nbsp;<\/span><span\nclass=SpellE><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:maroon'>thelo<\/span><\/i><\/span><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\nfont-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>, and its\nderivatives,&nbsp;<\/span><span class=SpellE><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\nfont-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:maroon'>thelema<\/span><\/i><\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<\/span><span class=SpellE><i><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:maroon'>teleios<\/span><\/i><\/span><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\nfont-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>.&nbsp; It\nbecomes clear, therefore, that when we speak of God's will, we are not talking\nof His sovereign purposes and decrees.&nbsp; Instead, the Holy Spirit has\nchosen to primarily describe the will of God in the context of His heart's <span\nclass=GramE>desire, that<\/span> which He wants and looks for in His people.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>What God has <span class=SpellE>sovereignly<\/span>\npurposed -- even before time began -- is to have a family for Himself.&nbsp;\nWhat He has designed and destined from before time began is to have a people\nwith whom He can fellowship on His level.&nbsp; In order for that to happen\nthere must of necessity come into being a people who choose Him of their own\nvolition and purpose, a people who learn -- through overcoming processes -- to\nfunction as He does, making use of the authority and power granted to us through\nJesus Christ.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>God absolutely&nbsp;<b>will have<\/b>&nbsp;a family.&nbsp;\nThat has been settled.&nbsp; He absolutely&nbsp;<b>will have<\/b>&nbsp;a people\nwho function in Him, like Him and through Him!&nbsp; But His will and purposes\ndo not include forcing men and women and\/or programming them like automatons.&nbsp;\nFor them to be like Him, they must function out of their own will and free\nchoice -- again, in Him, by Him and through Him<\/span><span class=GramE><span\nstyle='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>!<\/span><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\nfont-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>.<\/span><\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Thus David writes,&nbsp;<\/span><b><i><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:maroon'>&quot;The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S; but the earth\nhath He given to the children of men.&quot;<\/span><\/i><\/b><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'>&nbsp;&nbsp; (Psalm 115:16)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Why?&nbsp; So that we can duplicate what He has\ndemonstrated in Heaven.&nbsp; This is why Jesus' first prayer command (when the\nDisciples asked Him to teach them how to pray) was,&nbsp;<\/span><b><i><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:maroon'>&quot;Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will<\/span><\/i><\/b><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'>&nbsp;(<\/span><span class=SpellE><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\nfont-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:maroon'>thelema<\/span><\/i><\/span><i><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:maroon'>)&nbsp;<b>be done on (and in) earth as it is in Heaven.&quot;<\/b><\/span><\/i><span\nstyle='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#003C00'>(Matthew 6:10)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span class=GramE><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>Question.<\/span><\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'>&nbsp; Are God's purposes, determinations and desires\naccomplished in Heaven?&nbsp; Yup!&nbsp; Most certainly!<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Because God has given earth &quot;to the children of\nmen,&quot; He absolutely&nbsp;<b>will not take back<\/b>&nbsp;what He has\ngiven.&nbsp; God is not (if you'll pardon the expression) an Indian\ngiver.&nbsp; God doesn't give, and then retract what He has given, or change\nHis mind.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>That said, God&nbsp;<b>does<\/b>&nbsp;govern in the affairs\nof men, but He governs through His commissioned and anointed people.&nbsp; The\nkey in understanding this is that&nbsp;<u>He does not govern the affairs of <span\nclass=GramE>men<span style='text-decoration:none;text-underline:none'>,<\/span><\/span><\/u>&nbsp;<u>He\ngoverns&nbsp;<b>IN<\/b>&nbsp;the affairs of men<\/u>.&nbsp; This is an important\ndistinction, and that leads us to our next picture from Daniel.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Daniel was an extraordinary prophet of God who served\nthrough the reigns of Nebuchadnezzar (chapters 1-4) -- a period of 43 years,\nhis son; Evil-<span class=SpellE>Merodach<\/span> (see Jeremiah 52) -- a period\nof two years; <span class=SpellE>Belshazzar<\/span> (chapters 5-8) -- a period\nof fourteen years; Darius (chapters 9 &amp; 11) -- a period of 35 years; and\nCyrus (chapters 10 &amp; 12) -- a period of nine years.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Add all those together and you discover that Daniel served\nduring the reigns of five kings spanning a period of 105 years, of which we\nhave recorded prophecies given to and through him during 99 of those\nyears.&nbsp; According to eastern tradition, Daniel was either 30 years of age\nor just shy of his 30th year when he was taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar.&nbsp;\nThat would mean that he lived a good 130 years.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>It was in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign that\nthe king had a dream no one could understand.&nbsp; Because none of his wise\nmen (magi) could give him any kind of interpretation of this dream, he sent out\na kill order to destroy all of the wise men (<span class=SpellE>Chaldeans<\/span>),\nthe magicians, sorcerers, and astrologers who were at his beck and call.&nbsp;\nDaniel heard of it and intervened with <span class=SpellE>Arioch<\/span>, the\nCaptain of the King's Guard who related Nebuchadnezzar's dream to him.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Daniel then proceeded to ask the king to stay his kill\norder and give him an opportunity to get an answer from the Lord God.&nbsp;\nThus begins a repetitive cycle of intercession and prayer on Daniel's part,\nresulting in some of the most spectacular answers from God ever recorded.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Maybe you've seen this before, and maybe you just haven't\npaid any attention to it, but for most of the recorded 99-year period of\nDaniel's prophecies, he also served as Prime Minister.&nbsp; The exceptions\nwere the short reigns of Evil-<span class=SpellE>Merodach<\/span> (2 years) and\nhis successor, <span class=SpellE>Belshazzar<\/span> (14 years), and even at\nthat, <span class=SpellE>Belshazzar<\/span> had kept Daniel among the chief of\nhis ministers up until he finally appointed him Prime Minister.&nbsp; We have\nno specific record of Daniel's activities during the reign of Evil-<span\nclass=SpellE>Merodach<\/span> (history shows his name in Babylonian manuscripts\nas <span class=SpellE>Amel-Marduk<\/span>.)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>What <span class=GramE>am<\/span> I getting at, and why is\nthis important?&nbsp; Maybe you see it now, but Daniel was the one constant\nduring the 105 years of these five kings.&nbsp; He was the true ruler.&nbsp;\nKings came and went but Daniel remained.&nbsp; In his true role as an\nintercessor (and we'll get to this more in just a minute) he was able to\noverrule the decrees and writs of the kings and compel changes to those decrees\nto conform to God's laws.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Consider a decree of Darius.&nbsp; When <span\nclass=SpellE>Belshazzar<\/span> was killed, Darius became the new ruler over the\n<\/span><st1:place><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;\n mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>Persian <span class=GramE>empire<\/span><\/span><\/st1:place><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'>.&nbsp; One of his first acts was to establish a tier of\ncounselors and presidents over the various realms of the empire.&nbsp; Darius\nappointed 120 princes (for each of the lands or nations under his dominion),\nand over them three presidents to whom the princes answered. (See Daniel 6:1-3)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Among the three presidents, Daniel was chosen by Darius as\n&quot;First Prime&quot; (minister).&nbsp; To the astonishment and resentment of\nthe other presidents and princes, Darius decided that because of the preeminent\nand majestic spirit evident in Daniel he should be set over the entire\nempire.&nbsp; The other presidents were <span class=SpellE>Chaldean<\/span>\n(Babylonian\/Persian) by birth and culture and the fact that the King would\nchoose a Hebrew to rule over them was simply unacceptable.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:green'>(Note:\nWe have somewhat the same kind of picture in <\/span><st1:country-region><st1:place><span\n  style='font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:green'>England<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region><span\nstyle='font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:green'>'s\nParliamentary government today.&nbsp; <\/span><st1:City><st1:place><span\n  style='font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:green'>Elizabeth<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City><span\nstyle='font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:green'> is Queen\nof England, but for all practical purposes and legal governance Gordon Brown as\nPrime Minister is the actual ruler\/governor\/president\/principal decision maker\nof <\/span><st1:country-region><st1:place><span style='font-family:Garamond;\n  mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:green'>Great Britain<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region><span\nstyle='font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:green'>.)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Because Daniel had such favor with Darius, the other\npresidents and 120 princes decided they would do everything they could to\nundermine his position and have him removed from office.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:maroon'>&quot;Then the presidents and princes sought to find\noccasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none\noccasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error\nor fault found in him.&nbsp; Then said these men, <span class=GramE>We<\/span>\nshall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him\nconcerning the law of his God.&quot;&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><\/b><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'>&nbsp;(Take notice, folks, that this is what the spirit of\nAntichrist is doing in <\/span><st1:country-region><st1:place><span\n  style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\n  color:#333300'>America<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'> today!)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:maroon'>&quot;Then these presidents and princes assembled together\nto the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.&nbsp; All the\npresidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counselors, and\nthe captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make\na firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty\ndays, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.&nbsp; and his windows being open in his chamber toward\nJerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave\nthanks before his God, as he did aforetime.&quot;&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><\/b><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'>(Notice that Daniel would not compromise his primary position\nwith God as an intercessor, no matter what law had been passed.)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>These jealous and resentful princes and presidents thought\nthey had successfully set Daniel up, and now they were going to get him!&nbsp;\nSure enough, they checked up on Daniel and found him doing what he always did\non a daily basis: praying, interceding before God and giving thanks.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:maroon'>&quot;Then they came near, and <span class=SpellE>spake<\/span>\nbefore the king concerning the <span class=SpellE>king\u00e2<span style='mso-bidi-font-family:\nGaramond'>&#128;&#153;s<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b><b><i><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Garamond;\ncolor:maroon'> <\/span><\/i><\/b><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\nGaramond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:maroon'>decree; Hast thou not signed\na decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within\nthirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The\nking answered and said, <span class=GramE>The<\/span> thing is true, according\nto the law of the Medes and Persians, which <span class=SpellE>altereth<\/span>\nnot.&nbsp; Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is\nof the children of the captivity of Judah, <span class=SpellE>regardeth<\/span>\nnot thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but <span class=SpellE>maketh<\/span>\nhis petition three times a day.&quot;<\/span><\/i><\/b><span style='font-size:\n13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>&nbsp;\nTalk about racism!&nbsp; These guys were bound and determined to demean and\ndiminish Daniel in whatever way possible!<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:maroon'>&quot;Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore\ndispleased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he <span\nclass=SpellE>laboured<\/span> till the going down of the sun to deliver\nhim.&nbsp; Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king,\nKnow, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, <span class=GramE>That<\/span>\nno decree nor statute which the king <span class=SpellE>establisheth<\/span> may\nbe changed.&nbsp; Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast\nhim into the den of lions. Now the king <span class=SpellE>spake<\/span> and\nsaid unto Daniel,&nbsp;<u>Thy God whom thou <span class=SpellE>servest<\/span>\ncontinually, he will deliver thee<\/u>.&quot;<\/span><\/i><\/b><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>This is really spectacular!&nbsp; The King realized that\nthe preeminent spirit he so appreciated in Daniel was a manifestation of the\nSpirit of God; and because Daniel served the Lord God, no sentence of death, no\ndecree, and no presence of man-eaters was going to have any effect.&nbsp; His\ndeclaration to Daniel was a statement of faith.&nbsp;<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>But Darius didn't leave it there.&nbsp; The pattern and\nlifestyle of intercession he had seen in Daniel rubbed off on him, and he\nimmediately began to fast and to pray.&nbsp; He spent the whole night in\nintercession on Daniel's behalf.&nbsp; The following morning, Darius went to\nthe lion's den.&nbsp; Because a heavy stone had been rolled across the\nentrance, Darius couldn't see anything so he cried out,&nbsp;<\/span><b><i><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:maroon'>&quot;O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou <span\nclass=SpellE>servest<\/span> continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?<\/span><\/i><\/b><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span class=GramE><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:maroon'>&quot;Then said Daniel unto the king,\nO king, live forever.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\nfont-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:maroon'>&nbsp; My God\nhath sent his angel, and hath shut the <span class=SpellE>lions\u00e2<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b><b><i><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Garamond;\ncolor:maroon'>&#128;&#153; mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as\nbefore him <span class=SpellE>innocency<\/span> was found in me; and also before\nthee, O king, have I done no hurt.&quot;<\/span><\/i><\/b><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>The very fact that God had vindicated Daniel before the\nKing with such miraculous deliverance was enough for Darius.&nbsp; He\nimmediately gave the order for Daniel to be freed and for the conspirators --\nall of them including their wives and children -- to be cast into the den of\nlions.&nbsp; We're told that &quot;the lions had the mastery of them, and <span\nclass=GramE>brake<\/span> all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the\nbottom of the den.&quot;<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>The original decree of Darius lasted for only 30\ndays.&nbsp; Now he issued a new decree -- one without a termination date.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:maroon'>&quot;Peace <span class=GramE>be<\/span> multiplied unto\nyou.&nbsp; I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble\nand fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and <span\nclass=SpellE>stedfast<\/span> for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be\ndestroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.&nbsp; He <span\nclass=SpellE>delivereth<\/span> and <span class=SpellE>rescueth<\/span>, and he <span\nclass=SpellE>worketh<\/span> signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath\ndelivered Daniel from the power of the lions.&quot;<\/span><\/i><\/b><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>Daniel's intercession had paid off.&nbsp; A new law was\npassed that favored the people of God and instructed all unbelievers alike to\nreverence the name of God.&nbsp;<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#333300'>As I noted in our last discussion, God's people cannot and\nmust not quit praying and interceding.&nbsp; Whether we have a wicked leader or\nnot, whether we have unrighteous people in power or not, the intercession of\nGod's people can change the laws and govern the course of affairs in this\nnation.&nbsp; Now, more than ever, we have a responsibility before God to pray\nfor <span class=SpellE>Barack<\/span> <span class=SpellE>Obama<\/span> and the\nfuture of <\/span><st1:country-region><st1:place><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\n  font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#333300'>America<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#333300'>!&nbsp;
