Works, doesn't <span\nclass=SpellE>it?<\/span>&nbsp; A &quot;felicitation&quot; is a complimentary\nand congratulatory <span class=SpellE>greeting.<\/span>&nbsp; Don't you like to\nreceive compliments from time to <span class=SpellE>time?<\/span>&nbsp; Sure.<\/span><\/b><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>I'm running behind again today, but I'm hopeful that I'll\nbe able to get this out before the end of the <span class=SpellE>day.<\/span>&nbsp;\nYou'll notice, of course that I didn't get this out on Friday as <span\nclass=SpellE>hoped.<\/span>&nbsp; This past week has been an absolute <span\nclass=SpellE>zoo.<\/span>&nbsp; For those who've asked, our new website is\nstill under <span class=SpellE>construction.<\/span>&nbsp; We made some major\nchanges to the layout after deciding it just didn't look right, and I've just\ngotten some new website-building <span class=SpellE>software.<\/span>&nbsp; The\nlearning curve with the new software has slowed things a bit, but we should be\nup and running <span class=SpellE>soon.<\/span>&nbsp; I'll let you know.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Also, for those who've puzzled over what appears to be a\nbroken link, also there is a link on the sidebar at <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/groups.msn.com\/RegnersRangers\" target=\"_top\">http:\/\/groups.msn.com\/RegnersRangers<\/a>\nthat says &quot;Coffee Breaks&quot; clicks!) if you want to go\nvery far back.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Coffee's <span class=SpellE>served.<\/span>&nbsp; The French\nPress is in the kitchen, and there's <span class=SpellE>plenty.<\/span>&nbsp;\nHelp <span class=SpellE>yourself.<\/span>&nbsp; You know, I keep hearing folks\ntalk about how coffee is supposed to be a problem for folks with high blood <span\nclass=SpellE>pressure.<\/span>&nbsp; Maybe it depends on the coffee, and if\nyou're drinking pre-ground coffee -- and especially one of the lighter roasts\n-- I suppose you could get a caffeine kick that would affect your blood <span\nclass=SpellE>pressure.<\/span>&nbsp; However, with the very dark roasted\ncoffees we buy, and the fact that we grind our own beans, it doesn't have that\neffect.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Just for grins, I decided to check my blood pressure (I\nhave one of those fancy-<span class=SpellE>dancy<\/span> electronic\nblood-pressure gadgets) before having some coffee, and then checking it again\nafter having a <span class=SpellE>cup.<\/span><span class=GramE>&nbsp; The<\/span>\ndifference was <span class=SpellE>negligible.<\/span>&nbsp; I'll try it a few\nmore times just to make sure, but because the caffeine level and tannic acid is\nso much lower in these dark roasts, it just doesn't have that effect.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Well, let's get back to our adventures in the arctic.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>We left off on Thursday with Stephen and Simeon <span\nclass=SpellE>Patkotak<\/span>, and the fact that both were <span class=SpellE>musicians.<\/span>&nbsp;\nMatter of fact, so was their other brother, Billy (who lived in Wainwright --\nabout ninety miles down the coast from Barrow), who was a more than <span\nclass=SpellE>middlin<\/span>' <span class=SpellE>organist.<\/span>&nbsp; (We'll\ntalk more about Billy later.)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>James Lampe and Riley <span class=SpellE>Sikvayugak<\/span>\n(don't try to pronounce Riley's last name; it'll tangle your tongue) were both\nabout 19 or 20 years of age when they first received Jesus Christ and were\ndelivered from <span class=SpellE>alcoholism.<\/span>&nbsp; If you've ever been\nassociated with any of the native cultures, you know what a grip alcohol gets\nand the sensitivity that people with American Indian, Eskimo or Aleut blood\nhave to <span class=SpellE>it.<\/span>&nbsp; (Even Della with her Cherokee\nblood acknowledges that she is keenly aware of the attraction that alcohol\ncould have for her were she to yield to it.)<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>One other factor that governs the culture is a spirit of\nwitchcraft and enchantment which works hand in hand with the <span\nclass=SpellE>alcohol.<\/span>&nbsp; Because shamanism has been an integral part\nof the past in virtually every native culture, a spirit of witchcraft operates\nin their chanting and <span class=SpellE>drumming.<\/span>&nbsp; When Stephen <span\nclass=SpellE>Patkotak<\/span> was delivered from his past by the Lord Jesus\nChrist (he was a native dancer and deeply involved as one of their best Eskimo\ndancers prior to his deliverance) he used to say to me, &quot;Stay away from\nthose <span class=SpellE>events.<\/span>&nbsp; Don't even attend <span\nclass=SpellE>them.<\/span>&nbsp; The evil that comes in those dances is beyond <span\nclass=SpellE>description.<\/span>&nbsp; When I used to dance, something came\nover me and controlled the way I <span class=SpellE>danced.<\/span>&nbsp; It is\nwhy they thought I was such a good <span class=SpellE>dancer.<\/span>&nbsp; It\nwasn't me, and it was evil!&quot;<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Whether it was part of what drew them together or not, his\nwife, Jane, was also one of the lead women <span class=SpellE>dancers.<\/span><span\nclass=GramE>&nbsp; She<\/span> was horrified when she learned that Paul Harvey,\n(the longtime radio talk show personality) who was visiting Barrow on a\nvacation trip, had hired me to record a sampling of the Eskimo dances for him,\nand said to me, &quot;Don't <span class=SpellE>go!<\/span>&nbsp; Don't <span\nclass=SpellE>go!<\/span>&nbsp; It is <span class=SpellE>wicked!<\/span>&nbsp;\nIt is wicked!&quot;<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>All of that notwithstanding, when these people were set\nfree there was a dramatic change in their <span class=SpellE>music!<\/span>&nbsp;\nTheir tastes in music went from the atonal chants and repetitive drum beats to\ntrue harmony and extremely melodic <span class=SpellE>music.<\/span>&nbsp; More\nthan that, they became <span class=SpellE>praisers<\/span> and worshipers who\nknew no boundaries in worshiping <span class=SpellE>God.<\/span>&nbsp; We grew\na string band in the midst of the Holy Spirit outpouring consisting of numerous\nguitars, banjos, mandolin, violin, steel guitar, acoustic bass -- you name <span\nclass=SpellE>it.<\/span>&nbsp; (That didn't count the piano and organ, of\ncourse.)&nbsp; At times there wasn't enough room for all of us on the\nplatform, and we spread out to include the entire front of the church including\nthe front benches.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Four of us -- Riley <span class=SpellE>Sikvayugak<\/span>,\nJames Lampe, <span class=SpellE>Howie<\/span> and me -- became a pretty constant\nguitar <span class=SpellE>quartet.<\/span>&nbsp; If we had other guitars (and\noften did), I switched to the stand-up bass, and <span class=SpellE>Howie<\/span>\nswitched to the steel <span class=SpellE>guitar.<\/span>&nbsp; For the better\npart of two years, we had an Arctic &quot;Bluegrass&quot; praise band like\nyou've never <span class=SpellE>heard.<\/span>&nbsp; How's that for a switch?<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial'>Arctic and <span class=SpellE>bluegrass<\/span><\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Garamond'>\u009d\nare NOT synonymous terms, but in villages and towns scattered throughout Alaska\nand Canada as the Gospel of Jesus Christ brought change into the lives of folks\nwho had been steeped in shamanism, witchcraft and the drone of chants and dru<\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial'>mbeats\nas their <span class=SpellE>music,<\/span><\/span><span style='font-size:\n13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Garamond'>\u009d <span\nclass=SpellE>people's<\/span> taste in music changed <span class=SpellE>dramatically.<\/span>&nbsp;\nEasily the most popular music among Eskimos, Indians and Aleuts for the past 75\nyears has been <span class=SpellE>mountain<\/span> <span class=SpellE>music,<\/span>\n(or bluegrass, as we better know it), country music and folk<\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial'>\nmusic.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span class=GramE><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Garamond;\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial'>A house gathering of praise and worship.<\/span><\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial'>\nRiley, James, Howard &amp; <span class=SpellE>Regner<\/span><\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Not everything was peaches and cream, however, in the\nmidst of this second chapter of Acts <span class=SpellE>repeat.<\/span><span\nclass=GramE>&nbsp; You<\/span> may recall how when Dad came to check out Barrow\nin the spring of 1953, the then-pastor of the Presbyterian Church, Bill <span\nclass=SpellE>Wartes<\/span>, had welcomed his coming with the words,\n&quot;There's plenty of room here for another <span class=SpellE>church.<\/span>&nbsp;\nWe're just not getting the job done.&quot;<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>When <span class=SpellE>Wartes<\/span> lost literally half\nof his congregation almost overnight in the midst of all that was happening, he\nwas not a happy <span class=SpellE>camper.<\/span><span class=GramE>&nbsp;\nNever<\/span> in his wildest imagination did he think such a thing could <span\nclass=SpellE>happen.<\/span>&nbsp; From later comments, I suspect he'd never\nbeen exposed to &quot;Pentecostal&quot; <span class=SpellE>folks.<\/span>&nbsp;\nHe began mounting a campaign to &quot;recover&quot; those he'd <span\nclass=SpellE>lost.<\/span>&nbsp; If it hadn't been such a serious spiritual\nmatter, we'd have all been laughing.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>As time went on and Bill's &quot;recovery&quot; efforts\nbore little fruit, he became angrier and <span class=SpellE>angrier.<\/span><span\nclass=GramE>&nbsp; One<\/span> particular Sunday morning as he was getting ready\nto preach his message, he exploded behind the pulpit and swore to the people,\n&quot;There will NEVER be a tongue-talking Pentecostal to EVER stand behind\nthis pulpit!&quot;<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Although there was never any real evidence that <span\nclass=SpellE>Wartes<\/span> authorized it, a number of the elders in his church\nbegan to apply pressure to former members, using native culture and tradition\nas their weapon of <span class=SpellE>influence.<\/span>&nbsp; For some folks\nwho had not been baptized in the Holy Spirit and experienced the transforming\nchanges in their lives, the tactic <span class=SpellE>worked.<\/span>&nbsp;\nTradition is very strong in native cultures, and for folks who have not yet\nyielded to the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives -- native or not -- it\ncan weigh heavily in influencing decisions and corresponding actions.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>But none of those people had counted on the work of the\nHoly Spirit that had already been taking <span class=SpellE>place.<\/span>&nbsp;\nBill <span class=SpellE>Wartes<\/span> himself began to feel the pricks of the\nHoly Spirit and the rebuke for his comments from the <span class=SpellE>pulpit.<\/span>&nbsp;\nChange did not come overnight to him, <span class=SpellE>however.<\/span>&nbsp;\nIt was several years later .... <span class=GramE>but<\/span> wait ..... I'm\ngetting ahead of myself.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Let me scoot you ahead in time by 18 years for just a <span\nclass=SpellE>minute.<\/span>&nbsp; After a long absence, I had returned to\nBarrow both to establish another church fellowship and create a base of\noperations for the Christian Broadcasting Network in <span class=SpellE>Alaska.<\/span>&nbsp;\nTom Brower -- yup, the same guy who had helped Dad when he needed a vehicle to\nhaul gravel and prepare a foundation for the church back when Dad was first\nbeginning to build -- came to me and told me that the Presbyterian Church was\nwithout a <span class=SpellE>pastor.<\/span>&nbsp; He asked me if I would be\nwilling to fill in on at least a temporary basis until they could get a\npermanent pastor.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>I didn't want Tom to be under any misapprehension about my\nintentions and told him that I'd been planning to build another church -- that\nif I did accept his invitation it was still my plan at some point in the <span\nclass=SpellE>future.<\/span><span class=GramE>&nbsp; That<\/span> didn't seem to\nbother him in the least, and other people who served on the local board of the\nPresbyterian Church added their approval to his <span class=SpellE>invitation.<\/span>&nbsp;\nSo I accepted.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>The first Sunday standing behind that pulpit, there was an\nindescribable wave that swept over me as I remembered Bill <span class=SpellE>Wartes<\/span>'\noath of 18 years <span class=SpellE>prior.<\/span>&nbsp; I couldn't help but\nbegin to weep as I realized just how the Holy Spirit had vindicated Dad and\nMom's faithfulness and the foundations they had laid in <span class=SpellE>Barrow.<\/span>&nbsp;\nThe Holy Spirit wasn't the least bit intimidated by Bill <span class=SpellE>Wartes<\/span>'\nswearing that &quot;no tongue-talking Pentecostal would ever stand behind&quot;\nthat <span class=SpellE>pulpit.<\/span>&nbsp; It was one of the most humbling\nexperiences I've ever had to be in that place at that moment in time.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Over the next three-to-four months as I ministered in the <span\nclass=SpellE>Ukpeagvik<\/span> Presbyterian Church, I saw something of a repeat\nof what had taken place some 20 years prior as the Holy Spirit fell in that\nplace and people were baptized in the Holy Spirit while I was <span\nclass=SpellE>preaching.<\/span>&nbsp; There were, of course, many familiar\nfaces in that congregation -- people who'd either been in or seen what had\ntaken place during the late 1950's and early 1960's when there was such a\nmighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Three months into my &quot;temporary&quot; ministry there,\nthe board of elders asked me if I would be willing to serve as their permanent <span\nclass=SpellE>pastor.<\/span>&nbsp; I couldn't help but grin at the very <span\nclass=SpellE>thought.<\/span>&nbsp; My answer to them was that if the Alaska\nPresbyterian Missions board were to approve it, it would be my <span\nclass=SpellE>pleasure.<\/span>&nbsp; At the same time, I realized that if there\nwere folks on that missions board who'd been there when my folks had built the\nAssembly of God Church in Barrow they'd easily remember the name, <span\nclass=SpellE>Capener<\/span>, and likely have something to say about it.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>No <span class=SpellE>joke!<\/span>&nbsp; The invitation\nwas quickly squelched to the disappointment of many in the Barrow <span\nclass=SpellE>church.<\/span>&nbsp; Within a few short weeks they sent Jim Armstrong\nto Barrow to be the &quot;temporary pastor&quot; until they could get someone\nwho would agree to take it on a more permanent <span class=SpellE>basis.<\/span>&nbsp;\nJim and I had good fellowship together during the two years he was there, but\nthe real capstone to the story came in or about 1983 (to the best of my\nrecollection) when Bill <span class=SpellE>Wartes<\/span> returned to Barrow for\na <span class=SpellE>visit.<\/span>&nbsp; As he stood behind that same pulpit\nwhere he had vowed that &quot;no tongue-talking Pentecostal&quot; would ever\npreach, he began to weep.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>&quot;I want you to know,&quot; he said, almost choking on\nhis words, &quot;that here stands a tongue-talking Pentecostal <span\nclass=SpellE>Presbyterian.&quot;<\/span>&nbsp; He went on to relate to the\ncongregation how he had been baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of\nspeaking in tongues, and how it had changed his <span class=SpellE>life.<\/span><span\nclass=GramE>&nbsp; Obviously<\/span> it <span class=SpellE>had.<\/span>&nbsp;\nThe Holy Spirit had the last word.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Bill's son, Mark <span class=SpellE>Wartes<\/span>, was\nserving as an elder in the Presbyterian Church in Fairbanks had also been\nimpacted by it, and when I came to Fairbanks in the summer of 1981 to be\ninstalled as an advisor to the area board for Women's Aglow, Mark asked me if I\nwould be willing to come and preach at their <span class=SpellE>church.<\/span><span\nclass=GramE>&nbsp; But<\/span> that's another story, and we won't go there\ntoday.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Let's get back to the late 1950's, leading up to 1960.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>In the midst of all that was taking place during the\nremarkable move of the Holy Spirit in Barrow, Dad &amp; Mom's ministry and\ninfluence took on a global reach that they couldn't possibly have <span\nclass=SpellE>imagined.<\/span><span class=GramE>&nbsp; If<\/span> ever there was\na woman who epitomized Paul's admonition to be<\/span><span style='font-size:\n10.0pt;font-family:Arial'> <\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\nfont-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#005500'>&quot;given to\nhospitality,&quot;<\/span><\/i><\/b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:\nArial'> <\/span><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>(Romans 12:13, I Timothy 3:2) it was my <span\nclass=SpellE>mother.<\/span>&nbsp; She loved to entertain <span class=SpellE>guests.<\/span>&nbsp;\nAnd, Brother, did we ever have the guests!<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Barrow had one hotel at the time -- the Top of the World <span\nclass=SpellE>Hotel.<\/span><span class=GramE>&nbsp; Sounds<\/span> grand and\nglorious, but at the time, it was roughly what you might have expected from a\nhotel in some &quot;B&quot; Western movie from <span class=SpellE>Hollywood.<\/span>&nbsp;\nWhen visitors would come to Barrow, with our place being a literal stone's\nthrow from the hotel we often had people who came looking for a place to stay\nduring their visit.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Roy Rogers, the western film star, was one of the first\n&quot;notables&quot; we got to meet when he came to Barrow on a polar bear <span\nclass=SpellE>hunt.<\/span><span class=GramE>&nbsp; I've<\/span> already\nmentioned Paul <span class=SpellE>Harvey.<\/span>&nbsp; We often had\npoliticians and government leaders from foreign countries who wound up staying\nwith us instead of at the hotel.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>1959 brought two brothers, Abdullah and <span\nclass=SpellE>Issa<\/span> <span class=SpellE>Omidvar.<\/span>&nbsp; These men\nwere Muslims who were on a global Good-Will tour on behalf of the Shah of <span\nclass=SpellE>Iran.<\/span>&nbsp; Staying with Christians was a new experience\nfor them, and Dad and Mom cashed in on the opportunity to share Jesus Christ\nwith <span class=SpellE>them.<\/span>&nbsp; It was a message they'd never heard\nbefore, and although they did not receive Jesus Christ into their lives during\ntheir stay with us -- which they extended twice --&nbsp; a letter we received\nfrom them while they were in Washington, DC gave testimony to just how much\nimpact the sharing of the Lord made in their lives.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Once that bond of fellowship in Christ was there, we began\nto hear from them as they continued their travels from country to <span\nclass=SpellE>country.<\/span>&nbsp; They sent us a photo of themselves with\nIndonesian President Sukarno and told how they had shared with him the changes\nthat had taken place in <span class=SpellE>them.<\/span>&nbsp; Everywhere they\nwent, they were sharing what had happened to them in Barrow, <span\nclass=SpellE>Alaska.<\/span>&nbsp; Whatever their role was in serving the Shah\nof Iran, it was obvious that he held them in high esteem, and my parents\nreceived a note of appreciation from the Shah and Empress (who was American\nborn, and whom we had known briefly in Anchorage where her family lived prior\nto her marriage to the Shah) for her hospitality.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>While we'd had the occasional visitor during the years we\nlived in <\/span><st1:City><st1:place><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\n  Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#663300'>Nome<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City><span\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;\ncolor:#663300'>, the overwhelming majority of our visitors were ministers,\nevangelists and fellow-laborers in the <span class=SpellE>Gospel.<\/span><span\nclass=GramE>&nbsp; Other<\/span> than one or two military personnel who stayed\nbriefly in our home, I have no recollection of anyone other than folks in\nministry.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;mso-bidi-font-family:\nArial;color:#663300'>Barrow changed all <span class=SpellE>that.<\/span><span\nclass=GramE>&nbsp;
