the pace a bit today and likely next week.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>We still have quite a distance to go, and a\nlot of revelation to explore in the Psalm 23 Adventure, so let\u2019s take a break\ntoday and talk about something totally unrelated.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><b style='mso-bidi-font-weight:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#984806;mso-themecolor:accent6;mso-themeshade:128'>Anyway, Great day in\nthe <span class=SpellE>mornin<\/span>\u2019, y\u2019all!<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>TGIF, right?<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span><span class=SpellE>Nahhh<\/span>.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Fridays are about as busy as any other day of\nthe week \u2013 and just as enjoyable.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><b style='mso-bidi-font-weight:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#984806;mso-themecolor:accent6;mso-themeshade:128'>Anyway, even though\nI\u2019ve got my cup of coffee ready for this morning\u2019s discussion, Della\u2019s in the\nkitchen brewing up some kind of combo of black and green teas that she likes to\ntake to the office.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Not too bad,\nactually.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><b style='mso-bidi-font-weight:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#984806;mso-themecolor:accent6;mso-themeshade:128'>Got your cup poured,\nyet?<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Pull up a chair, and let\u2019s get this\nday under way.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Can\u2019t tell you how many times I\u2019ve gotten\nsucked into these discussions throughout the past few years where folks insist\nthat the Bible is full of contradictions.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Some friends sent me a letter some time\nback and talked about a relative who was totally focused on writing a book\ndealing with Biblical contradictions.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>I\nmade myself a bunch of notes on the topic, and I\u2019ve added to that list over the\npast few years.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Let me begin by addressing two recently\ncited by a young fellow from 2 Kings and 2 Chronicles.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>I must admit that the one concerning <span\nclass=SpellE>Ahaziah<\/span> had escaped me until just recently.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>I was familiar with the one concerning <span\nclass=SpellE>Jehoiachin<\/span>.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Both of\nthese are quite simple, however.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>You are\ndealing with a translator\u2019s clerical error.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>In re-reading the actual Hebrew text, both references to <span\nclass=SpellE>Jehoiachin<\/span> ascribe him 18 years.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Both references to <span class=SpellE>Ahaziah<\/span>\nmention that he was 2 and 20 years of age.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Somehow, the translators have picked up the\nHebrew letters \u201csin\u201d and \u201cshin\u201d \u2013 which have different numerical values \u2013 and\ntransposed their usage numerically.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The\ntwo letters \u201csin\u201d and \u201cshin\u201d look nearly identical to each other.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The difference is that \u201cshin\u201d has a Hebrew\nbreathing mark which distinguishes it apart from \u201csin\u201d and is easily\noverlooked.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>In all other aspects, the\ntwo letters are identical.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The breathing\nmark in \u201cshin\u201d changes it numerical value, however, from \u201csin\u201d, and this is\nwhere the error occurred in translation.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>The references to Jesus\u2019 lineage in Matthew\nand Luke are simple, and easily explainable.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>Ancient Jewish tradition does not allow for women\u2019s lineage to be traced\nas the lineage of a man.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>In order to deal\nwith unusual cases such as that of Mary, (or Esther, for example), the historians\nchose to track the lineage, citing the husband instead of the wife.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Because Joseph was Mary\u2019s husband, they could\nlegally use her lineage as part of his lineage.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>My young friend missed out on the fact here\nthat these are two distinctly different lines of inheritance traceable to\nDavid.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew\u2019s lineage is that of\nJoseph, whose lineage was traced to Solomon, the son of David.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Luke\u2019s lineage is actually that of Mary (and you\nwill note that he says that Jesus \u201cas was supposed\u201d (was) \u201cthe son of Joseph,\nwhich was the son of <span class=SpellE>Heli<\/span>,\u201d etc.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>While not true, perhaps, by birth, Joseph\nWAS the son of <span class=SpellE>Heli<\/span> by marriage to Mary.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Jewish law and tradition made Joseph legally\n\u201cthe son of <span class=SpellE>Heli<\/span>.\u201d<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>Here, Mary\u2019s lineage is traced to Nathan, the son of David \u2013 not Solomon.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Here is a case where the Holy Spirit has\nclearly demonstrated that Jesus, by virtue of dual and precisely traceable\nlines of inheritance, was \u201cthe son of David,\u201d in fulfillment of God\u2019s promise\nto David.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Jesus\u2019 divine birth was implanted by the\nHoly Spirit, and thus he was not genetically the son of David through\nJoseph.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>However, Mary WAS of the lineage\nand house of David, and the fact that she bore Jesus made him legitimately \u201cthe\nson of David.\u201d<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It is an extraordinary\ndemonstration of the fulfillment of prophecy, both legally and genetically, and\nspiritually.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The two lines of\ninheritance have always intrigued me.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>Folks frequently don\u2019t follow this one through far enough to see what\nthe Lord was doing.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>When people do not know the Lord, and don\u2019t\nunderstand Jewish tradition along with Hebrew and Greek metaphors, they\nfrequently fall into the trap of making fools out of themselves when they\nattempt to cite supposed contradictions.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>There are none in Scripture \u2013 ANYWHERE!<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>There are many apparent contradictions, but\nnone that is not easily understood once you know Jewish tradition and\/or\nunderstand the hidden meanings in metaphors.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>Likewise, if one attempts to use an English translation instead of the\noriginal text, and then proclaim that he has found contradictions, he will make\nhimself out to be foolish and ignorant.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Now, let me really mess with you!<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>There is an aspect of God\u2019s word that <b\nstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>IS<\/b> contradictory on purpose!<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>God has chosen deliberately to confound the\nwisdom of this world with simple truths that are often obscured by religion and\nreligious tradition, and are contradictory at first sight.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>But let me explain how and why He does this.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>We have contradictory truths that are\nabsolute in our society today.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Let me\nillustrate.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>\u201cLook before you leap.\u201d <span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0<\/span>\u201cHe who hesitates is lost.\u201d<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Are they both true?<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Of course.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>Are they contradictory?<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>Certainly.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>What makes them work,\nthen?<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It is the element of time.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>There is a time to be cautious and look\nbefore you leap.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>If you are on the run\nfor your life, however, and someone is hot on your heals with a gun, then \u201cHe\nwho hesitates is lost.\u201d<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>That principle\nis true in God\u2019s economy.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>The concept of \u201ctime\u201d in relationship with\nthe Lord is all too often overlooked within the Body of Christ today.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>We have doctrines built certain scriptures by\none group, and doctrines which conflict with those doctrines built on opposing\nscriptures by other groups, and \u201cne'er the twain shall meet.\u201d<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Here\nare a couple of good illustrations:<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>On\none side is what some doctrinarians like to call \u201ceternal security\u201d (John\n10:27-29) and it reads like this:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#C00000'>My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow\nme:<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>And I give unto them eternal life;\nand they shall never perish, neither shall any <i>man<\/i> pluck them out of my\nhand. <span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0<\/span>My Father, which gave <i>them<\/i>\nme, is greater than all; and no <i>man<\/i> is able to pluck <i>them<\/i> out of\nmy Father\u2019s hand.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#C00000'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>What\nseems to be a totally opposite side of this picture is seen in Hebrews 6:4-6,\nand it reads like this:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#C00000'>For <i>it is<\/i> impossible for those who were once enlightened,\nand have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy\nGhost,<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>And have tasted the good word of\nGod, and the powers of the world to come,<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing\nthey crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put <i>him<\/i> to an open\nshame.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#C00000'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>How\ndo we resolve what seems to be a total contradiction in this instance?<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>OK, let me take you back to the very\nbeginning of the Psalm 23 Adventure.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>What\u2019s the very first part of it?<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#C00000'>The LORD is my Shepherd<\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>That\u2019s not some passive comment or some kind of general statement!<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>That is a vow!<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It is total commitment to the Lord Jesus\nChrist as our Shepherd.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>No ifs ands or\nbuts!<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>This isn\u2019t a situation where one\nkneels down at some altar bench and prays the prayer of Salvation, and then\ngets up and continues life, pretty much as usual.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>When you begin to see the developments that\nfollow and the requirements that take place in your daily walk resulting in\nreal spiritual growth, you begin to get a grasp on the statement that Jesus\nmakes when He says, <\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#C00000'>\u201cMy sheep KNOW my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.\u201d<\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book legitimately have eternal security.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Their relationship is locked in with the\nLord, and no matter what happens, their future in eternity is secure.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Now,\ncontrast that with what Paul writes to the Hebrews when he says that it is\nimpossible for those who have <\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\n\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";color:#C00000'>\u201cbeen enlightened\u201d \u2026.. \u201cif they\nshall fall away\u201d<\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#C00000'> <\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>(that\ntranslation from the Greek misses it) <\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";color:#C00000'>\u2026.. \u201cto renew them\nagain unto repentance.\u201d<\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Because\nof what Paul is trying to communicate to the believers in this instance, it\nbecomes important for us to see this Greek word, <\/span><span class=SpellE><b\nstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><i style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Gourmand\",\"serif\";color:#002060'>parapipto<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>, in its full\npicture.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>While the translation, \u201cto fall\naway,\u201d is acceptable, it would be better translated, \u201cto <span class=SpellE>apostasize<\/span>,\u201d\nor perhaps, \u201cto deliberately walk away,\u201d or even, \u201cto deviate from the truth.\u201d<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>So,\nwhat is it they are deliberately walking away from?<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Paul lays it out quite succinctly: (1) those\nwho were once enlightened (or actually received real revelation of the Lord\nJesus Christ, Who He is, what He is, and what He has done for them); (2) tasted\n(literally, eaten) the good (nutritious and life-giving) Word and experienced\nfirst-hand that Word and His power in their life; (3) and the powers of the\nworld to come.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>(Now, there\u2019s one for\nyou!)<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>The\nfirst two are pretty self-explanatory, but \u201cthe powers of the world to come,\u201d\ntakes us into a dimension of God that gets lost in this translation.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The Greek word, <\/span><span class=SpellE><b\nstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><i style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Gourmand\",\"serif\";color:#002060'>aion<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>, is almost always\ntranslated \u201ceternity,\u201d or perhaps, \u201cforever.\u201d<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>In any case, Paul is not making reference to \u201cthe world to come,\u201d or\n\u201cthe new heavens and the new earth.\u201d<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He\nis expressing the powers, the gifts, the realm of the supernatural that is\navailable NOW to those who walk in the Spirit.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>My\ngood friend and brother in the Lord, Bruce Allen, actively teaches on\nsupernatural transportation (some call it, \u201ctrans-relocation\u201d) and being in two\nplaces at the same time (something he has personally experienced).<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>His book, Gazing into Glory, is one that\nevery believer ought to read \u2013 especially those who want to begin walking in\n\u201cthe powers of the world to come.\u201d<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Now\nyou begin to get a grasp on what Paul is saying, and why this in no way\ncontradicts what Jesus said.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>What Paul\nis describing is those who have walked with the Lord in an intimate\nrelationship, experienced first-hand for themselves the Word at work in their\nlives, walked in the realm of the supernatural, and then deliberately turned\naside or walked away from that realm of intimacy with the Lord.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>There\u2019s no way a person who does that has any\nclaim to \u201ceternal security\u201d with the Lord Jesus Christ.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>As Paul puts it, <\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";color:#C00000'>\u201cThey\ncrucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.\u201d<\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>OK, I\ntook more time with that one than intended, but let\u2019s continue.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>In another instance we have \u201cspeaking in\ntongues\u201d (I Corinthians 14:5) for those who espouse the idea of <u>everyone<\/u>\nspeaking in tongues; on the other hand, we have -- in the very same epistle,\nand the very next verse -- <u>not<\/u> everyone speaking in tongues.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Paul makes it clear that his desire is for\neveryone to speak in tongues.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>As I\nnoted in the part of the discussion on the Psalm 23 Adventure where we talked\nabout \u201cHe <span class=SpellE>leadeth<\/span> me beside the still waters,\u201d this\nrealm of the supernatural is a place and an opportunity that we are led to, but\nnot compelled.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>This is a place open and\navailable to every single believer \u2013 and a mandatory place if we are going to\nmove on into the realm of the supernatural that the Lord has for us \u2013 but it is\na dangerous place for those who think they are going to just play with it.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>When a person chooses and pursues the\ninfilling or the baptism of the Holy Spirit with their whole being, Holy Spirit\nawaits them and opens up doors into the supernatural that are not accessible\nany other way.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>There\nare more examples I can cite that would make this Coffee Break turn into a\ntreatise \u2013 or a <span class=SpellE>verrrry<\/span> <span class=SpellE>loooong<\/span>\nread
