 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Last week we wrapped talking about\nthe sound and the sound that Adam and Eve brought to the Lord by their very\nexistence and by their walk with Him each day.\u00a0\n<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\nunderstand that sound was in Adam and Eve\u2019s very DNA.\u00a0 <\/span>Whenever God spoke, sound went forth.\u00a0 <\/span>Consider the sound that went forth when God\nspoke the following over them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Genesis\n1:28<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span>And God blessed them,\nand God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and\nsubdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the\nair, and over every living thing that moveth<\/span> upon the\nearth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

See\nthe picture?\u00a0 <\/span>God \u201cblessed them.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>He spoke over them.\u00a0 <\/span>He declared and decreed His authority over\nthem and into them.\u00a0 <\/span>Whether you believe\nit or not, God literally sang into Adam and Eve.\u00a0 <\/span>Think I\u2019m really stretching things?\u00a0 <\/span>Then take a look at what Zephaniah\nprophesies.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Zephaniah 3:17<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>The\nLORD thy God in the midst of thee is<\/i> mighty; he will save, he will\nrejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee\nwith singing<\/u>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Sound!\u00a0 <\/span>Singing!\u00a0\n<\/span>Praise!\u00a0 <\/span>Worship!\u00a0 <\/span>It is all integral to God\u2019s existence.\u00a0 <\/span>He had surrounded Himself with it before time\nbegan.\u00a0 <\/span>When He spoke, things happened \u2013\nexactly as He spoke.\u00a0 <\/span>Lucifer had\nprovided that place of singing, of praise, of worship to surround the\nThrone.\u00a0 <\/span>His whole existence revolved\naround sound, around praise, around worship.\u00a0\n<\/span>He\u2019d been created for it.\u00a0 <\/span>He\u2019d\nbeen anointed for it.\u00a0 <\/span>And he corrupted\nthat anointing with jealousy, with rebellion, with anger, with insurrection,\nwith treason against the very God that had created him in the first place and\ngiven him that anointing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nGod had to take it away from him!\u00a0 <\/span>And,\nas we noted last week, God said, \u201cI\u2019m going to have a family for myself.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m going to create a species of being like\nmyself who will take Lucifer\u2019s place.\u00a0\n<\/span>They will surround me!\u00a0 <\/span>They will\nsurround the Throne with a unique sound that will be distinctly theirs, and\nthey will offer the praise and worship that comes out of their very existence!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Satan,\nbeing the angry, jealous being that he was, hating God because of the judgment\nhe was forever subject to, decided he\u2019d get even with God.\u00a0 <\/span>He would corrupt the sound of Adam and Eve.\u00a0 <\/span>He would tempt them.\u00a0 <\/span>If he could succeed in his contamination of\ntheir existence, he could block the plan of God for this species of being that\nwould surround the Throne with a new and far more spectacular realm of praise\nand worship than he\u2019d ever known or been able to provide.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

His\nefforts were only partly successful.\u00a0\n<\/span>Sure, he brought the law of sin and death upon the human race.\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, he deprived generation after generation\nafter generation of people from enjoying the personal and intimate presence and\nknowledge of the Lord, but God was way ahead of him.\u00a0 <\/span>He knew in advance what Satan was going to\ntry and pull, but He had already determined and spoken into being the agreement\nbetween Father, Son and Holy Spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>So\nwatch what God does!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Genesis 3:14-15<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done\nthis, thou art<\/i> cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the\nfield; upon thy belly shalt<\/span> thou go, and dust shalt<\/span> thou eat all the days of thy life:\u00a0 <\/span>And I will put enmity between thee and the\nwoman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt<\/span> bruise his heel<\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nthat\u2019s exactly what happened!\u00a0 <\/span>We\u2019ve\nalready covered this in our previous discussion, but throughout many\ngenerations, God had promised that this would be fulfilled in and with the seed\n(the descendants) of David.\u00a0 <\/span>For any\nlegalists out there, consider that Mary was a descendant of David through\nSolomon.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

On\nthe other hand, Joseph was also a descendant of David through Nathan.\u00a0 <\/span>Thus, when Holy Spirit implanted the seed of\nGod in Mary, Jesus came along as promised as the seed of David.\u00a0 <\/span>But he also came into this world free from\nall of the DNA of Adam, whom Satan had corrupted.\u00a0 <\/span>A new sound was about to be born in the earth\n\u2014 and a new anointing!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Before\nwe get there, let me share with you a story passed along by Ray Hughes, and it\nillustrates where we are going with this.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There\nis, in East Africa, a tribe of people who understand that there is a sound\nassociated with every single person.\u00a0 <\/span>No\ntwo people sound alike.\u00a0 <\/span>Each person is\ndistinct and their sound will remain with them from birth to death.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\na woman in this tribe becomes pregnant, she immediately separates herself from\nthe tribe and goes off into the outback to wait and listen.\u00a0 <\/span>She knows that there must be a sound that\nwill come forth from the child in her womb and she will not go back to the\ntribe and to her husband until she hears that sound.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Once\nshe hears the sound of her unborn child, she learns it and then returns\nhome.\u00a0 <\/span>She teaches that sound to her\nhusband.\u00a0 <\/span>While the child is gestating in\nthe womb, together they lay hands on the mother\u2019s belly and sing that song.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nit is time for the child to be born, the mother gathers together the midwives\nand teaches them the song.\u00a0 <\/span>They sing\nthat song as the child is being born.\u00a0\n<\/span>That child will grow up knowing that song and it will forever be his or\nher sound.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Throughout\nadulthood, that song and that sound will come forth from that person.\u00a0 <\/span>It will never be heard from anyone else.\u00a0 <\/span>When he or she dies, that song will be sung\none last time at the funeral, and from that time forth, it will never be heard\nagain.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Sound\nstrange?\u00a0 <\/span>Then let me share with you\nanother story.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

One\nof the more unusual friends that Della and I have come to know and share with\nin years gone by was a scientist by the name of Dr. Joseph O\u2019Neil.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ve shared bits of Joe\u2019s story with you in\nprevious Coffee Breaks, but let\u2019s just get to the issue at hand.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Joe\nspent Einstein\u2019s last seven years working with him.\u00a0 <\/span>He was a genius of Einstein\u2019s caliber \u2014 and\nperhaps even greater.\u00a0 <\/span>The discoveries\nand inventions that Joe came up with were nothing less than spectacular.\u00a0 <\/span>This was a man who served as a science\nadvisor to no less than seven presidents beginning with Harry Truman.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

According\nto my recollection, it was in the 1990\u2019s that Joe discovered that human blood\nhad a sound to it.\u00a0 <\/span>He was able to take a\nsample of someone\u2019s blood, digitize and convert it to music.\u00a0 <\/span>Sitting at the lunch table one day, he said\nto Della and me,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cI\ncan tell you what your entire medical history is by listening to your\nblood.\u00a0 <\/span>No matter what disease you may\nhave had, it inserts its own sound into your blood.\u00a0 <\/span>If you are completely healthy, your blood\nsounds very melodic.\u00a0 <\/span>If, on the other\nhand, you have cancer, or are a serious candidate for cancer, a very discordant\nsound will appear.\u00a0 <\/span>Barring intervention\nand\/or specific treatment, I can tell you what disease you will die from.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He\nlater told us that he had developed a piece of equipment that was being used at\nthe Houston Medical Center on a trial basis for the purpose of listening to the\nsounds of human blood and being able to accurately forecast any specific\ndisease that was developing in them, in many cases months or even years before\nthat disease would mature.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\ndo not know the exact time frame (and I\u2019ve wondered if this doctor extrapolated\nsome of his research and findings from Joe\u2019s work, or if his work preceded\nJoe\u2019s), a medical doctor and researcher in Japan \u2014 his name was Dr. Ohno<\/span> \u2014was studying diseases in mice.\u00a0 <\/span>He decided to take a single cell from the\nmouse, extricate a single DNA strand from that cell and put it to music.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

To\nhis utter astonishment he heard distinguishable strains and musical phrases\nfrom Chopin\u2019s Nocturne, Opus 55.\u00a0 <\/span>How in\nthe world could such a thing be?\u00a0 <\/span>One can\nonly imagine the events that would have unfolded for that mouse to have been\nexposed to the music of Chopin.\u00a0 <\/span>He\ndecided to try something different and take a cancer cell from another mouse\nthat was dying.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Turning\na single DNA strand from that cancer cell into music, what he heard was\nChopin\u2019s Funeral March.\u00a0 <\/span>If you know\nChopin\u2019s life story, then you know that he died a relatively young man from\nwhat was called at the time, \u201cconsumption.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/span>In fact, Chopin died of cancer.\u00a0\n<\/span>Dr. Ohno<\/span> was hearing the sound of Chopin\u2019s DNA\nin these two different experiments.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So\nwhat are we getting at?\u00a0 <\/span>Just this.\u00a0 <\/span>Each of us has a sound that is distinct to\nus.\u00a0 <\/span>Each of us radiate that sound\nwherever we go.\u00a0 <\/span>No, it\u2019s not audible \u2014\nat least in 99.9999% of cases \u2014 but it is a sound that we put out.\u00a0 <\/span>We were created with sound as an integral\npart of our existence.\u00a0 <\/span>We were created\nfor worship!\u00a0 <\/span>We were created to bring\nthe sound that is us to the Throne of God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Six\nor seven years or so ago I began sharing in a series of Coffee Breaks my own\nfirst experience of being in Heaven.\u00a0\n<\/span>When I was ushered through the gates by the Lord and had my first view \u2013\nwell, let me borrow from some of what I\u2019ve shared in that series.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There was no sun, but Heaven was lit up\nwith a brightness greater than that of the sun.\u00a0\n<\/span>Every one of my five senses were inundated with sights, sounds, smells\nand feelings hard to describe.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The aroma of Heaven was \u2026 well \u2026\nheavenly!\u00a0 <\/span>It was almost like being in a\nflower garden where every flower radiated its scent<\/span>\nto the max at once.\u00a0 <\/span>At the same time, it\ntook no effort to discern between different aromas and flavors.\u00a0 <\/span>It was a feast for the nose.\u00a0 <\/span>I don\u2019t know how to describe it any\ndifferently.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ve had moments since in\nthe years that followed where I have had the air fill with some of those scents\n\u2013 and there have been others with me who experienced it simultaneously.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Perhaps the most gripping thing I\nexperienced from the very get-go was the sound.\u00a0\n<\/span>I\u2019d already been learning to play musical instruments and was keenly\naware of musical structure.\u00a0 <\/span>The air was\nfilled with a sound of worship and praise the likes of which have stayed with\nme my whole life.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ll talk more about\nthis later, but ever since this first trip to Heaven, there has never been a\nday \u2013 and scarcely a moment \u2013 when I don\u2019t hear the sounds of praise and\nworship music flowing in my spirit \u2013 and brother, does it ever take many\ndifferent forms!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Imagine for a moment hearing music like\nhuge waves rolling over you.\u00a0 <\/span>Each wave\nbrings a different sound \u2013 a different focus \u2013 a different flow.\u00a0 <\/span>One wave might be the sound of tens of\nthousands of voices singing in the most spectacular harmony you\u2019ve ever\nheard.\u00a0 <\/span>The next might be the sounds of\nstrings being plucked or bowed or struck with cadences and rhythms we\u2019ve only\ntasted of here on earth.\u00a0 <\/span>Another might\nbe the sounds of a million different kinds of brass or woodwind\ninstruments.\u00a0 <\/span>Every so often I could hear\nthe simple strains of a single instrument in praise and worship.\u00a0 <\/span>The music was \u2026 how can I describe it? \u2026\norganic!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

No, I don\u2019t mean like the sound of an organ\n\u2013 although there was certainly that sound present.\u00a0 <\/span>What I mean is that the music, the praise,\nthe worship, the sounds of the voices and instruments literally penetrated\nyou.\u00a0 <\/span>They became a part of your whole\nbeing in such a way that you were part of that praise and worship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s put it like this: you can\u2019t be there\nand be in that presence of the Lord and not have your whole being radiate that\nsound as though it originated within the very cells of your existence!\u00a0 <\/span>And it does.\u00a0\n<\/span>We were created for that purpose.\u00a0\n<\/span>Each person becomes an extension, an addition to the sound of\nworship.\u00a0 <\/span>Your very existence, your very\npresence (excuse me if I sound repetitious) becomes a part of that sound.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s the sound of the Lord radiating in you,\nout of you, through you!\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s the sound\nof His presence!\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s the sound of His\nGlory!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nmusic we call \u201cpraise and worship\u201d today is a poor substitute.\u00a0 <\/span>But the Lord isn\u2019t complaining about it.\u00a0 <\/span>We, after all, are being trained and prepared\nfor a new sound \u2013 and it\u2019s not a sound like anything here I can compare it\nto.\u00a0 <\/span>We need to break out of our religious\nboxes.\u00a0 <\/span>More accurately, we need for the\nHoly Spirit to break us out of our musical mindsets, our expectations and the\nsounds we come to expect as a part of praise and worship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nwere created for it.\u00a0 <\/span>There is an\nanointing for this realm that David understood, and the Psalms are permeated\nwith it from beginning to end.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\npicture becomes more and more fascinating and revelatory as it unfolds, so let\nme quit for today, and let\u2019s continue this narrative next week.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
