The Ps<\/span><\/b>alm<\/span><\/b> 23 Adventure,<\/span><\/b> Part 46<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

June 30, 2017<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

We have an incredible amount of\nterritory to cover today.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s going to\nlook like I\u2019ve really departed from the subject at hand, but I assure you that\nI havc<\/span> not.\u00a0 <\/span>It\nis really important to draw a complete picture for you so that you understand\nthe enormous significance of what God is preparing to do in those people who\nenter into an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Today,\nlet\u2019s take the next step in this picture of sound, and why it is so critical to\nour existence, and why it is so much a part of the prophecy connected to <\/span>\u201cThou\nanointest<\/span> my head with oil.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nall know that the angel of the Lord appeared to Mary to announce the fact that\nshe was with child, and that the child in her womb was the long-awaited\nMessiah.\u00a0 <\/span>But the sound of this prophecy\nto Mary to another step.\u00a0 <\/span>Take a look at\nwhat Luke records.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Luke 1:39-55<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>And Mary arose in\nthose days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of\nJudah;\u00a0 <\/span>And entered into the house of\nZacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.\u00a0 <\/span>And it\ncame to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe\nleaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

And she spake<\/span> out with a loud voice,\nand said, Blessed art<\/i> thou among women, and blessed is<\/i> the fruit\nof thy womb. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And\nwhence is<\/i> this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?\u00a0 <\/span>For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy\nsalutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.\u00a0 <\/span>And blessed is<\/i> she that believed: for\nthere shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.\n<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,\u00a0 <\/span>And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour<\/span>.\u00a0 <\/span>For he<\/span> hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for,\nbehold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is\nmighty hath done to me great things; and holy is<\/i> his name.\u00a0 <\/span>And his mercy is<\/i> on them that fear him\nfrom generation to generation.\u00a0 <\/span>He hath\nshowed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of\ntheir hearts.\u00a0 <\/span>He hath put down the\nmighty from their<\/i> seats, and exalted them of low degree. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>He hath filled the\nhungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.\u00a0 <\/span>He hath holpen<\/span> his\nservant Israel, in remembrance of his<\/i> mercy; As he spake<\/span>\nto our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nmay not be immediately obvious is the fact that as soon as Elizabeth saw and\nheard Mary, her unborn baby (John, the Baptist) leaped in her womb.\u00a0 <\/span>Elizabeth is filled with the Holy Spirit and\nbegins to shout, to sing, to prophesy, <\/span>\u201cBlessed art thou\namong women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Mary\nresponds by singing what we have all come to know and refer to as \u201cthe Magnificat<\/span>.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus\u2019\ncoming was announced while He was still in the womb \u2014 twice.\u00a0 <\/span>Mary, then, begins to sing and to worship the\nLord because of the stupendous miracle happening in which she is a critical\npart.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus,\nJesus is nurtured in the womb with this sound of singing, praise and worship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Consider\nwhat happens, then, when He is actually born!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Luke 2:7-14<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>And she brought forth\nher firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a\nmanger; because there was no room for them in the inn.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the\nfield, keeping watch over their flock by night. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And, lo, the angel of\nthe Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and\nthey were sore afraid.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you\ngood tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.\u00a0 <\/span>For unto you is born this day in the city of\nDavid a Saviour<\/span>, which is Christ the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>And this shall be<\/i> a sign unto you; Ye\nshall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the\nheavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on\nearth peace, good will toward men.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus,\nJesus is nurtured in the womb with this sound of singing \u2014 this prophetic\npraise and worship.\u00a0 <\/span>When He comes into\nthe world, His arrival is announced to the shepherds with prophetic praise.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Then\nthe heavens fill with a multitude (the Greek word here is, <\/span>plethos<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>, meaning: to be filled up) of Heaven\u2019s\nangelic hosts who sing an prophesy, <\/span>\u201cGlory to God in the\nhighest, and on earth, peace, good will towards men.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nKJV loses a little in this translation, so let\u2019s amplify this out of the Greek.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cGlory, Honor and Magnificence to the Almighty, the Supreme God,\nand to (and on) the Earth, peace, quietness, prosperity and (the fulfillment of\nthe Covenant) complete satisfaction, pleasure, the delight of completion in\nthat which has long been awaited and desired.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nGreek word translated \u201cgood will\u201d is a word which comes out of covenant\nfulfillment, <\/span>eudokia<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>, and it represents\nthe completion of that which has been promised and intended from the beginning.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nwas it that was promised and intended from the beginning?\u00a0 <\/span>We talked about this last week.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Genesis 3:15<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>And\nI will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her\nseed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt<\/span> bruise\nhis heel<\/span><\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nwas the promise of the coming Redeemer, the One who would crush the Serpent \u2014\nSatan \u2014 and restore that place of intimate fellowship with the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>And let\u2019s not forget the fact that Adam and\nEve \u2014 OK, we, the human race \u2014 were created to replace Lucifer\u2019s original\nanointing and commission to surround the Throne of God and envelop it (and the\nLord, Himself) with the most glorious praise and worship.\u00a0 <\/span>Satan has been out to defeat that promise\nfrom the moment it was spoken.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus,\nthe angelic praise and worship that went forth at the birth of the Lord Jesus\nChrist was the announcement, and prophecy<\/i><\/b>, that God\u2019s Covenant\nwith Eve was being fulfilled<\/i><\/b>!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\njump forward once again to Jesus\u2019 baptism and the events that took place when\nFather God spoke out of Heaven to announce to the world that <\/span>\u201cThis\nis My Beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased,\u201d<\/span> and the Holy Spirit simultaneously\nappeared to anoint Jesus in the form of the dove that settled on Him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus,\nof course, had to demonstrate His overcoming of Satan after He went into the\nwilderness to fast and pray for 40 days and was tempted three times \u2014 each time\nrepresenting an overcoming of the three areas of fear that have tormented the\nhuman race.\u00a0 <\/span>Notice how Jesus wraps this\nup as he answers the devil.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Matthew\n4:10<\/span><\/u>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Get thee hence,\nSatan: for it is written, Thou shalt<\/span> worship the\nLord thy God<\/u>, and him only shalt<\/span> thou serve.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Satan\nhad decided to worship himself and make himself God, and as a result was thrown\nout of Heaven for trying to corrupt that commission and anointing he had been\ngiven.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\nme pause for just a second.\u00a0 <\/span>This isn\u2019t\nanother rabbit trail, but let me remind you of the significance of David\u2019s\nprophecy when he says, <\/span>\u201cthou anointest<\/span> my head with oil.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Though\nDavid was anointed by Samuel to become King in Israel, he clearly understood\nthat his primary anointing was to minister to the Lord in praise and\nworship.\u00a0 <\/span>The Psalms are literally at the\nvery center of Scripture, and the 118th Psalm is the very center of the Bible.\u00a0 <\/span>That said, consider the center of Psalm 118:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 118: 14-15<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>The\nLORD is<\/i> my strength and song, and is become my salvation. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The voice of\nrejoicing and salvation is<\/i> in the tabernacles of the righteous: the\nright hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\ncan\u2019t be any clearer!\u00a0 <\/span>David knew his\nanointing and he walked in it from childhood to his deathbed.\u00a0 <\/span>It is my conviction that David clearly\nunderstood that we are all created for praise and worship, that we are the\ncreation of God intended to replace the fallen and removed Lucifer from his\nplace at the Throne of God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now,\nback to the picture of Jesus.\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus has\ncompleted the years of ministry, training and preparation of the disciples, and\nHe is ready for the grand finale.\u00a0 <\/span>It is\ntime to finish off Satan\u2019s power and authority over the human race and to\nrestore that purpose and destiny from before Creation itself.\u00a0 <\/span>Mark gives us the following picture as Jesus\nprepares for His final days on this earth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Mark 11:7-11<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>And they brought the\ncolt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And many spread their\ngarments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed<\/span> them<\/i> in the way.\u00a0 <\/span>And they that went before, and they that\nfollowed, cried, saying,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hosanna; Blessed is<\/i> he that cometh in the name of the\nLord:\u00a0 <\/span>Blessed be<\/i> the kingdom of\nour father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest<\/span><\/u>.\u00a0 <\/span>And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into\nthe temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the\neventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nJesus was preparing for His crucifixion, death and resurrection, the crowds saw\nJesus entering into Jerusalem riding on the back of a donkey.\u00a0 <\/span>It wasn\u2019t a particularly auspicious entrance\nfor the King of Kings, but no matter; the crowds prepared the way for Him with\npraise and worship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nHebrew word translated into the Greek and rendered in English as \u201cHosanna,\u201d is,\n<\/span>hoshia-na<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>.\u00a0\n<\/span>While translated literally as, \u201cOh, Save!\u201d, it is a cry of adoration\nreserved for royalty, for kings.\u00a0 <\/span>Those\nsinging it understood that the king (in this instance, the King of Kings) was\nthe means of their safety, their prosperity, their deliverance from their\nenemies, to liberate and set free (in every respect).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Sorry.\u00a0 <\/span>Got a bit side-tracked there.\u00a0 <\/span>This takes us to that which John saw when he\nwas given the magnificent revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Look\nat what John sees as he is transported in the Spirit into Heaven.\u00a0 <\/span>This is going to take some time, so bear with\nme.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Revelation\n4:1-11:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>After this I\nlooked, and, behold, a door was<\/i> opened in heaven: and the first voice\nwhich I heard was<\/i> as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said,\nCome up hither, and I will show thee<\/span> things which\nmust be hereafter.\u00a0 <\/span>And immediately I was\nin the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one<\/i> sat on\nthe throne.\u00a0 <\/span>And he that sat was to look\nupon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was<\/i> a rainbow round\nabout the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.\u00a0 <\/span>And round about the throne were<\/i> four\nand twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting,\nclothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And out of the throne proceeded lightnings<\/span>\nand thunderings<\/span> and voices: and there were<\/i>\nseven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of\nGod.\u00a0 <\/span>And before the throne there was<\/i>\na sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round\nabout the throne, were<\/i> four beasts full of eyes before and behind.\u00a0 <\/span>And the first beast was<\/i> like a lion,\nand the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and\nthe fourth beast was<\/i> like a flying eagle.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him<\/i>;\nand they were<\/i> full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night,\nsaying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to\ncome.\u00a0 <\/span>And when those beasts give glory\nand honour<\/span> and thanks to him that sat on the throne,\nwho liveth<\/span> for ever<\/span> and\never,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the\nthrone, and worship him that liveth<\/span> for ever<\/span> and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne,\nsaying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour<\/span>\nand power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and\nwere created.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\u2019s\nthe first thing John sees?\u00a0 <\/span>24 elders\nseated about the Throne of God.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ve\nshared this before but it\u2019s been awhile so let me revisit this picture \u2013 and we\nwill delay that until next week.\u00a0 <\/span>Where I\nhave to go is going to take some time, and this Coffee Break would quickly\nbecome an epistle were I to continue.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
