And another good Friday morning to\ny\u2019all.\u00a0 <\/span>Guess I really thought I\u2019d be\nable to wrap up this discussion on David\u2019s statement, Thou anointest my head\nwith oil, but after seeing notes that I\u2019ve taken with the ongoing, almost daily\nrevelations from Holy Spirit, it is apparent that we are going to be at this\nfor a few more weeks.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s wrap up that portion of this\ntopic that we\u2019re taking out of the book of Revelation before we change gears\nentirely.\u00a0 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Revelation 5:8-10<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and<\/i>\ntwenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and\ngolden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And they sung a new\nsong, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof:\nfor thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every\nkindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And hast made us unto\nour God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Revelation 5:13-14<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>And every creature\nwhich is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in\nthe sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and\nglory, and power, be<\/i> unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the\nLamb for ever and ever. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And the four beasts\nsaid, Amen. And the four and<\/i> twenty elders fell down and worshipped him\nthat liveth for ever and ever.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Revelation 11:16-17<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>And the four and\ntwenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and\nworshipped God,\u00a0 <\/span>Saying, We give thee\nthanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou\nhast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

These\n24 elders are representative of the 12\u2019s that come out of Israel and out from\n\u201camong the children of men.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\nhave the 144,000 (12 taken to its conclusion) taken from Israel.\u00a0 <\/span>12 elders represent each of the 12\ntribes.\u00a0 <\/span>This is metaphoric, you\nunderstand.\u00a0 <\/span>What John is seeing is both\nmetaphoric and prophetic.\u00a0 <\/span>Then you have\nthe 144,000 taken from among the children of men.\u00a0 <\/span>12 elders are taken from this group of\n144,000.\u00a0 <\/span>Again, the picture is\nmetaphoric, and it is prophetic.\u00a0 <\/span>Now,\nwatch what John sees next in reference to these elders!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Revelation 19:4-7<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and\nworshipped God that sat on the Throne, saying, Amen: Alleluia.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all\nye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And I heard as it\nwere the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as\nthe voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent\nreigneth.\u00a0 <\/span>Let us be glad and rejoice,\nand give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath\nmade herself ready.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Got\nit?\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>\u201cLet us be glad and\nrejoice, for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself\nready!\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\n\u201creadying\u201d has come in the Paths of Righteousness.\u00a0 <\/span>That readying has come through continual\nresponding to the preparation processes that have taken place in Ekklesia.\u00a0 <\/span>That readying is for the anointing that comes\nwhen the Bride and the Bridegroom are joined to one another, and they become\nOne for the eternity of the eternities.\u00a0\n<\/span>That anointing comes when the Lord has a fully-prepared and readied\nBride who IS the continual sound of praise and worship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\nanointing comes with a people whose sounds \u2014 sounds intrinsic to each\nindividual \u2014 radiate and reverberate before the Throne with the sounds and\nsongs of praise and worship that literally are them!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nis so cool about this is the harmony that results between Bridegroom and\nBride!\u00a0 <\/span>I remind you that the Lord\nHimself sings over us.\u00a0 <\/span>He has His own\nsound, and it is a sound that we all respond to.\u00a0 <\/span>But consider what happens when He sings and\nthe Bride sings with Him!\u00a0 <\/span>Consider what\nJohn wrote \u2014 and this is where we will wrap up for today \u2014 and saw coming out\nof the Throne when the worship went forth:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Revelation 4:4-11<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>And round about the throne were<\/i> four and twenty seats:\nand upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white\nraiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. <\/span>5<\/span><\/sup>And\nout of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there\nwere<\/i> seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven\nSpirits of God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And before the throne there was<\/i> a sea of glass like unto\ncrystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were<\/i>\nfour beasts full of eyes before and behind.\u00a0\n<\/span>And the first beast was<\/i> like a lion, and the second beast like a\ncalf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was<\/i>\nlike a flying eagle.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him<\/i>;\nand they were<\/i> full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night,\nsaying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.\n<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And\nwhen those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the\nthrone, who liveth for ever and ever, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>The four and twenty\nelders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth\nfor ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>Thou art worthy, O\nLord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things,\nand for thy pleasure they are and were created.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\u2019s\nus, Folks!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve\nbeen drawing a whole lot of pictures over the past weeks concerning David\u2019s\nunderstanding when he wrote, <\/span>\u201cThou anointest my head with\noil.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>We\u2019ve talked about David\u2019s anointing\nto become King of Israel.\u00a0 <\/span>We\u2019ve talked\nabout the anointing that took place when Jesus was baptized in the River\nJordan.\u00a0 <\/span>We\u2019ve talked about the sounds\nthat took place with the worship when Jesus was conceived, when He was born,\nand when He had His triumphant entry into Jerusalem prior to His crucifixion,\ndeath and resurrection.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve\ntalked about Lucifer\u2019s anointing and commissioning for surrounding the Throne\nof God with praise and worship and how, when he attempted to usurp the Throne\nfor himself, he was thrown out of Heaven along with a third of the angels.\u00a0 <\/span>We\u2019ve talked about the plan and decision of\nGod to replace him with a family of beings just like Himself who would take\nLucifer\u2019s place and surround the Throne with a new dimension of praise and\nworship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Today,\nI\u2019d like to take you on a journey through time in order to understand David\u2019s\nfocus on the anointing, his understanding of its significance, and why he wraps\nup (and I\u2019m getting ahead of myself here) the 23rd Psalm with the statement, <\/span>\u201cAnd\nI shall dwell in the House of the Lord forever.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s\nretrace some of what we\u2019ve already covered.\u00a0\n<\/span>When David sat on the hillsides tending his father\u2019s sheep, he was\nreceiving downloads from Heaven on an almost daily basis.\u00a0 <\/span>What we have written and transcribed in the\nPsalms represents a very small portion of all the downloads he received.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nhe shared with me when we had our conversation in Heaven when I asked him how\nhe could possibly write such extravagant praise and worship, \u201cI didn\u2019t write\nall that!\u00a0 <\/span>It didn\u2019t originate with\nme.\u00a0 <\/span>I only wrote and sang what I heard\ncoming out of Heaven<\/i>.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nDavid heard and what he experienced developed an understanding in him of the\npurpose of our existence.\u00a0 <\/span>He saw and\nunderstood our ultimate joining with the Lord in a transformative union through\nan anointing and commissioning for praise and worship.\u00a0 <\/span>With that said, consider the following.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There\nis a picture that is worth taking a look at in Revelation 3:7-13.  The\nseven letters, as you know, are addressed to the seven Ekklesias, and represent\na single letter to the Bride.  The message to the Bride is the overcoming\nof the seven spirits (exemplified in the seven nations which occupied Canaan)\nor ruling principalities which comprise the nature of the Beast (seen\nthroughout Revelation), and are the counterfeit for the Seven Spirits of God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Without\ngetting into all of the areas of overcoming identified in this particular\nletter, the message to the Ekklesia in Philadelphia is <\/span>\u201cI\nhave set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it\u2026\u201d  <\/span>The <\/span>\u201copen\ndoor\u201d <\/span>is\nidentified with the <\/span>\u201ckey of David.\u201d  <\/span>The phrase, <\/span>\u201cthe key of\nDavid,\u201d<\/span>\nis a very well-identified Hebrew metaphor which means, \u201cThe power and\nauthority of David<\/u>,\u201d <\/i>and represents \u201cthe authority to access all\nthat is within.\u201d<\/o:p><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nauthority represented by this key is that He who holds the key, <\/span>\u201copeneth<\/span> and no man shutteth<\/span>; and shutteth<\/span>, and no man openeth<\/span>.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\n\u201ckey of David\u201d also has another very specific application: the \u201cTabernacle\nof David.\u201d<\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\n\u201cTabernacle of David\u201d<\/span><\/i>\nwas nothing like the Mosaic tabernacle with the outer courts, the Holy Place,\nthe Table of Shewbread, the Golden Candlestick, etc.  It had only one\nthing: the Holy of Holies.  The Holy of Holies contained only one thing:\nthe Ark of the Covenant.  David\u2019s tabernacle was nothing more than a\nsimple tent (no complicated structure, no complicated procedure to gain access\nto the Holy of Holies \u2014 the \u201cSecret Place,\u201d <\/i>the \u201cInner Chamber\u201d<\/i>)\npitched over the Ark of the Covenant.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nwas an extraordinary departure from the Tabernacle of Moses.  Not only did\nit not have all of the accoutrements of Moses\u2019 tabernacle, it did not even have\na veil which covered the Ark from view.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Picture,\nif you will, what David set about to accomplish in Israel.  His first act\nas King was to appoint singers and musicians whose responsibility it was to\nminister unto the Lord in praise and worship, 24-hours per day, 365 days a year\n\u2014 CONTINUALLY!  Yes, of course we know that the Levites continued in their\nnormal priestly duties, but these praisers and worshipers did not concern\nthemselves with any of the traditional priestly duties.  They had only one\nresponsibility: to minister unto the Lord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

They\ndid not minister unto the multitudes.\u00a0\n<\/span>They did not offer burnt sacrifices.  They did not take, or receive\nfrom the people their sin offerings, etc., etc., etc.  Under the direction\nof three families (the families of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun), they ministered\nin rotating shifts or \u201ccourses\u201d before the \u201copen door\u201d of the Tabernacle,\npraising and worshiping the Lord continually.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\npresented a living photograph to Israel of the very core of God\u2019s desire for\nHis people.  It presented a picture of the wedding chamber \u2014 the bridal\nchamber \u2014 having been opened by the Lord to receive a Bride who was expressing\nher great love and great desire for Him.  The praisers and worshipers\nreplaced the Golden Candlestick.  They were the flame of love and\npassionate desire for the Lord, burning continually before him, night and day.\u00a0 <\/span>There was no need for a Table of Shewbread,\nbecause the table was spread before Israel night and day in God\u2019s provision for\nthem.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There\nwas another picture as well.\u00a0 <\/span>When the\nfamilies of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun took their respective turns in\nministering to the Lord around the Tabernacle of David, they were demonstrating\nin a literal, physical sense our destiny to minister to the Lord around\nHim!\u00a0 <\/span>They were a demonstration of our\nreplacement of Lucifer.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

A\nprophetic demonstration of what we have in store with this anointing followed in\nthe years following David\u2019s rule and the continuous praise and worship that\nwent forth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

From\na purely historical standpoint, Israel prospered economically and militarily,\nand was provided for by the Lord in a never-ending display, so long as praise\nand worship went forth unhampered and unhindered.  During the forty years\nof David\u2019s reign, Israel never lost a battle.  David took territories and\ndominions which had been promised to Abraham, and commanded to Moses and\nJoshua, but never attained by any leader in Israel\u2019s history to that\ntime.  He subdued the last of the Hittites, and eradicated the remaining\ntraces of other nations which had contaminated Israel with their co-habitation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nJebusites, which had occupied Jerusalem since Shem\u2019s death, were subdued and\ndestroyed; and David purchased from Ornan, the Jebusite, both the hill, and the\nthreshing floor as the site of the temple which would later be built.  He\nrefused to take as a gift, or recognize Ornan (whose title was Araunah, or\n\u201cLord King\u201d) as a king, or his equal, even though Ornan was the last of the\nJebusite rulers.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Never\nbefore in history had a people prospered as they did with continual praise and\nworship going forth. Israel saw its land produce agriculturally and yield an\nabundance such as never had been seen.  The surrounding nations turned to\nIsrael for leadership.  Kings, who before times had been constant enemies\nand invaded the cities of Israel, sought after peace treaties.  The\nPhilistines, who had invaded the land with their armies for hundreds of years,\nwere decimated militarily, and were unable to so much as raise an army against\nIsrael (or anyone else, for that matter) for more than three hundred years.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\npicture of Moab, Ammon and Syria was similar.  Each time they came against\nDavid, and against Israel, they were defeated.  In each case, and after\ntheir third incursion, the defeat was so great that they were unable to raise\nan army capable of offensive action for some fifty years.  The Moabites,\nthe Ammonites and the Syrians all became servant to David.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For\nthe first time in Israel\u2019s history, the nation had the Lord God as its\nfocus.  The nation as a whole served God.  Idols were\ndemolished.  Places of heathen worship were destroyed.  Israel as a\nnation developed more of a relationship with the Lord than it had ever seen\nsince the days of Moses and Joshua.\u00a0\n<\/span>God\u2019s people prospered as they had never prospered.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\npattern and picture continued throughout the reign of Solomon, who saw an\nexpanded ministry of praise and worship.  One of David\u2019s last acts as King\nwas to increase the number of families who ministered to the Lord under the\ndirection of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun.  Twelve people were chosen from\neach of twenty-four families, making a total contingent of 288 worshipers,\ntwelve for each hour of the day and night, around the clock.<\/a><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s\ntake a break here and we\u2019ll pick this up again next week.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
