 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

We could very well run\nlong again today, but I need to connect all of the dots for you as we wrap up\nthis discussion on the cup, so let\u2019s get started.\u00a0 <\/span>Let me cover some of the same ground that I\ndid last week in order for you to see the connection.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

II Corinthians 5:17-19<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>So then, if any person\nis grafted into and immersed in the Anointed One (and His anointing), he is a\nnew fabrication -- a newly formed being; the previous life [the lifestyle and\nthe old characteristics thereof] has perished; you can see and perceive for\nyourself that every part of one's being is an unprecedented substance -- a new\nspecies.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And all that has happened and taken place has its origins in God,\nWho did this purposefully to reconcile and restore our relationship with Him\nthrough Jesus Christ, Who has given us that same ministry, namely, that God was\nand is in Christ, restoring the world to that intimate relationship with\nHimself, and not indicting the world for its <\/span>sins and\nfailures; <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He has\ncommitted to us that Word (and the responsibility) of reconciliation and\nrestoration.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(RAC\nTranslation & Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now,\nwatch as we see what is unfolding.\u00a0 <\/span>We\nare becoming the cup-bearers to the world!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\npicture that Paul draws is that not only was Jesus in the Father, but that the\nFather came to earth IN JESUS<\/i>!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Have\na look at another scripture.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Colossians 1:19-22<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>For\nit pleased the Father<\/i> that in him should all fullness dwell; And, having\nmade peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto\nhimself; by him, I say<\/i>, whether they be<\/i> things in earth, or\nthings in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your<\/i>\nmind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh\nthrough death,<\/u> to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his\nsight.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\npassage is a revelation all by itself.\u00a0\n<\/span>Go back to the Cross and take a look at Jesus hanging there.\u00a0 <\/span>It isn\u2019t just Jesus: it is you hanging there;\nit is me; it is all of us hanging there on the Cross.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Look\nat what Paul says once again.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>\u201cFor\nit pleased the Father that in Him (Jesus) should all fullness dwell.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\n\u201cfullness\u201d?\u00a0 <\/span>ALL \u2014 A L L<\/span> fullness!\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s\nus, folks!\u00a0 <\/span>Think about this for a\nminute.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(1)<\/span><\/b>  <\/span>Jesus\nwas\/is the Word (John 1:1-3).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(2)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Jesus\nwas\/is the Life (John 1:4, 14:6).<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(3)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Jesus\nwas\/is The Light (John 1:4, 14:6)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(4)<\/span><\/b> Jesus is The Way\n(John 14:6) and there is no other way!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(5)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Jesus\nis The Truth (John 14:6) "the whole truth, and nothing but the\ntruth."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(6)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Jesus\nis the Christ, the Messiah (Maschiach), the Anointed One (Mark 8:29, 14:61-62,\nI John 2:22, 5:1)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(7)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Jesus\nis the Resurrection (John 11:25)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(8)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Jesus\nis The Name Above Every Name (Philippians 2:9)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(9)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>He\nis the I AM (Revelation 1:8)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(12)<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Jesus\nis the Alpha and Omega -- the Beginning and the End (Revelation 1:8, 11)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We've\nreally only scratched the surface with these descriptions, titles and\nappellations.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Paul\nproperly expressed it when he wrote (and this is from the Amplified Bible), <\/span>\u201cFor\nit has pleased {the Father] that all the divine fullness \u2014 the sum total of the\ndivine perfection, powers and attributes \u2014 should dwell in Him permanently.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nthis is where Paul takes it the next step to show what happened when Jesus took\nus into Himself.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Colossians 1:21-22 (Amplified Version)<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>And\nalthough you at one time were estranged and alienated from Him and of hostile\nattitude of mind in your wicked activities, Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah]\nreconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death<\/u>, in order\nto present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father\u2019s]\npresence.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Are\nyou seeing it now?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nJesus hung on the Cross He took us into Him.\u00a0\n<\/span>He put us in Him as He hung on the Cross so that we [that is to say, our\nsinful nature and flesh] \u2014 in and through Him \u2014 would die.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But\nJesus didn\u2019t leave things there.\u00a0 <\/span>We\ndidn\u2019t just die in and through and with Him: we experienced resurrection with\nHim, in Him, and through Him.\u00a0 <\/span>When Jesus\nrose from the dead, we rose too because we were in Him!\u00a0 <\/span>Remember how Paul said that all the divine\nfullness existed in Christ \u2014 how everything is made complete in Him?\u00a0 <\/span>We, too \u2014 because we are in Him \u2014 are complete.\u00a0 <\/span>Here\u2019s how Paul continues in his letter to\nthe Ekklesia in Colosse:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Colossians 2:9-13 (Amplified Version)<\/span><\/u><\/b>: \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>For\nin Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily\nform \u2014 giving complete expression of the divine nature.\u00a0 <\/span>And you are in Him, made full and have\ncome to fullness of life <\/u>\u2014 in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead:\nFather, Son and Holy Spirit, and reach full spiritual stature.\u00a0 <\/span>And He is the Head of all rule and authority\n\u2014 of every angelic principality and power.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made\nwith hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by\nstripping off the body of the flesh [the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its\npassions and lusts], [Thus you were circumcised when] you were buried with\nHim in [your] baptism<\/u>, in which you were also raised with Him [to a new\nlife<\/u>] through [your] faith in the working of God [as displayed] when He\nraised Him up from the dead.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And you, who were dead<\/span><\/u> in trespasses and in the\nuncircumcision of your flesh \u2014 your sensuality, your sinful, carnal nature \u2014 [God]\nbrought to life <\/u>together with [Christ], having (freely) forgiven us of all\nsins.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(See\nalso KJV)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nJesus rose from the dead, therefore, because we were (and are) in Him, we also\nrose from the dead.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve\nalready talked about the fact that Jesus provided death cancellation for all of\nus by keeping our appointment with death.\u00a0\n<\/span>In fact, we were in Christ when He hung on the Cross, keeping our appointment.\u00a0 <\/span>When Jesus rose from the dead, coming out of\nthat tomb, we were in Him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nI seem to be repeating myself, I am, but my objective is to say this in as many\ndifferent ways as possible so that we all get this revelation.\u00a0 <\/span>I personally believe there is no revelation\nmore important than this.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Everything\nthat Jesus does in our lives, everything we accomplish, our growth and\nspiritual development, our ministry, the miracles that we perform and\nparticipate in \u2014 all hang on our being in Christ when He died, and then rose\nagain from the dead.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Death\ncancellation means we don\u2019t have to put up with death.\u00a0 <\/span>Resurrection from the dead means that death\nhas no power or hold of any kind over us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nalso means that we are free from all disease, infirmity, sickness and pain \u2014\nsince they all stem from the dying process.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus,\n<\/span>\u201cHe that eats and feeds on my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells\ncontinually in me, and I [in like manner dwell continually] in him.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Colossians 2:13-15<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>And you, being dead<\/span> (nekros<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/b>\na corpse) <\/span>in your sins<\/span> (paraptoma<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/b> intentional and unintentional error, lapse\nor deviation) <\/span>and the uncircumcision of your flesh<\/span> (akrobustia<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/b>\nmetaphor for non-covenantal state), <\/span>hath he quickened together<\/span> (suzoopoieo<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/b>\nreanimate con-jointly) <\/span>with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14<\/sup>Blotting\nout <\/span>(exaleipho<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/b>\nobliterate)<\/span> the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was\ncontrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And<\/span><\/i> having spoiled <\/span>(apekduomai<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/b> divesting oneself wholly and completely) <\/span>principalities\nand powers<\/span>\n(arch\u00e9<\/span><\/i>\n<\/span><\/b>& exousia<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/b> \u201cchief\u201d authorities [archangels or demonic\nauthorities] and \u201csuperhuman\u201d magistrates or controllers \u2014 demonic powers), <\/span>he\nmade a show of them openly, triumphing<\/span> (thriambeuo<\/span><\/i>:<\/span><\/b> \u201cnoisy iambus\u201d, to make an exclamatory\nprocession) <\/span>over them in it.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\npicture that Paul draws here is that of Jesus loudly proclaiming \u2014 even singing\nclamorously and poetically \u2014 and putting on exhibit Satan himself and all his\ndemonic forces to show and demonstrate that their power and authority was\nfinished.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Satan\nhad committed a crime for which he was judged and sentenced.\u00a0 <\/span>His crime was thievery and murder.\u00a0 <\/span>He killed someone \u2014 Jesus \u2014 who was not\nsubject to his authority.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nhave already noted in the past that under universal law, slaves were considered\nas property.\u00a0 <\/span>They were not regarded as\nhuman beings, and therefore had no right to protest their treatment by Satan.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus\ntook us with Him, in Him, and was in us when He went to the grave and was\nburied in the tomb.\u00a0 <\/span>By the same token,\nwhen Jesus was raised from the dead by the Father, we were raised in Him, with\nHim and He in us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Notice\nexactly how Paul phrases this.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Colossians 2:13<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201cHe re-animated [us]\ncon-jointly with Him; and at the same time obliterated, demolished and wiped\ntotally clean the decrees of judgment (and accompanying sentence of death) that\nhad been written against us.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(RAC Translation\n& Amplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So\nwhat happens each time we eat and drink at the Table of the Lord?\u00a0 <\/span>We eat and drink of the Lord Jesus Christ\nHimself.\u00a0 <\/span>Thus, we have \u201cChrist in us!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>But notice, once again, how Paul parallels\nthis to Water Baptism.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Colossians 2:12 (Amplified Version)<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>[Thus\nyou were circumcised (and entered into His Covenant) when] you were buried with\nHim in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [to a new life]\nthrough [your] faith in the working of God [as displayed] when He raised Him up\nfrom the dead.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nenter into the Covenant through Water Baptism.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(1)<\/span><\/b> The corpse of\nsin gets buried.\u00a0 <\/span>The \u201cnon-person\u201d slave,\nsubject to Satan is put in the grave.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(2)<\/span><\/b> We as new,\nreanimated, living, breathing creations \u2014 re-made in the image and likeness of\nGod \u2014 come forth from the grave as beings not subject to the Law of Sin and\nDeath.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(3)<\/span><\/b> Just as Jesus\ndid, we make an open show of principalities and powers in triumph and joyful,\nnoisy song by virtue of having entered into this New Covenant.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span>(4)<\/span><\/b> Water Baptism\nnot only engages the Covenant for us with Him, it also puts on notice Satan,\nhis archangels, his magistrates and all his demonic foot soldiers that their\npower or authority over us has been broken and demolished once and for all!<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(5)<\/span><\/b> Without Water\nBaptism, even though we were in Christ and He was in us when He died and was\nburied, and then rose from the dead, no covenantal step has been taken on our\npart to demonstrate our\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>acceptance of the\nNew Covenant.\u00a0 <\/span>Without Water Baptism \u2014 and\nthis is an act of faith \u2014 nothing has taken place that says to Satan and his\narmies, \u201cYour authority and power over me has been broken.\u00a0 <\/span>Your right to torment me, your right to steal\nfrom me, your right to take my life \u2014 without legal consequence \u2014 has been\nbroken by the Blood of the Lamb.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Remember\nhow John saw this picture?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Revelation 12:11<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>And\nthey (the faith-filled and faith-acting believers) subdued, conquered and\nprevailed over Satan, gaining complete victory by the Blood of the Lamb [shed through\nhis painful beatings and suffering, and death on the Cross] and the Word of\ntheir testimony [the evidence, report and record given] (that they too were in\nChrist when He died and rose again] spoken, sung and acted upon in Water\nBaptism; and they did not love, adhere to and cling to their souls, their\nmindsets and their old thought processes, willingly and determinedly putting\ntheir souls, their mindsets and their old thought processes to death<\/span>. <\/span>(RAC Translation\nand Amplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nprecipitated this statement by John?\u00a0\n<\/span>What was it that he witnessed when he was transported into the\nHeavenlies in and by the Spirit?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Revelation 12:10<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And I heard a loud voice\nsaying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our\nGod, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down,\nwhich accused them before our God day and night.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\naccuser \u2014 our accuser \u2014 is finished!\u00a0 <\/span>But\nthat \u201cfinishing\u201d is accomplished through faith.\u00a0\n<\/span>We finish him by the Word of our testimony.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\ngive evidence, first-hand testimony as personal witnesses by virtue of the fact\nthat we were in Christ when he died, that we were in Christ when He rose from\nthe dead, and that we have entered into the new Covenant with Him.\u00a0 <\/span>We further give first-hand testimony to the\nfact that He became The Lamb That Was Slain which took away the curse and all\nour sins.\u00a0 <\/span>Finally, we can testify that\nwe have acted upon the Covenant extended to us by being buried with Jesus Christ\nin baptism; and that we have been raised to New Life in Christ!!\u00a0 <\/span>We are in Him!\u00a0 <\/span>We are in Him!\u00a0 <\/span>We are in Him!\u00a0 <\/span>And He is in us!\u00a0 <\/span>He is in us!\u00a0\n<\/span>HE IS IN US !!!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

NOW\nyou see why the cup is running over!\u00a0\n<\/span>It\u2019s inevitable because of what has taken place in our lives and the\nCovenant we entered into when we declared that <\/span>The Lord is my\nShepherd<\/span>!\u00a0 <\/span>That Covenant initiated a process in our\nlives that has brought us to this day.\u00a0\n<\/span>Our cup truly runneth over!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
