LORD: we have blessed you out of the house\nof the LORD.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>And\nthat\u2019s exactly what happened in Israel, once David had established this picture\nof 24-hour praise and worship for the nation.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>Israel prospered as it had never prospered in the past.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Let me quote a couple of paragraphs from the\nRiver Worship Center website to show you just how much the Key of David\nunlocked for the nation of Israel.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><b style='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Graphite Light ATT\";color:#192763'>From a\npurely historical standpoint, Israel prospered economically and militarily, and\nwas provided for by the Lord in a never-ending display, so long as praise and\nworship went forth unhampered and unhindered.&nbsp; During the forty years of\nDavid\u2019s reign, Israel never lost a battle.&nbsp; David took territories and\ndominions which had been promised to Abraham, and commanded to Moses and Joshua,\nbut never attained by any leader in Israel\u2019s history to that time.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><b style='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Graphite Light ATT\";color:#192763'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal ATT\";color:#192763'>He\nsubdued the last of the Hittites, and eradicated the remaining traces of other\nnations which had contaminated Israel with their co-habitation.&nbsp; The\nJebusites, which had occupied Jerusalem since Shem\u2019s death, were subdued and\ndestroyed; and David purchased from Ornan, the Jebusite, both the hill, and the\nthreshing floor as the site of the temple which would later be built.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><b Israel saw its land produce agriculturally and yield an\nabundance such as never had been seen.&nbsp; The surrounding nations turned to\nIsrael for leadership.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><b style='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Graphite Israel,\nsought after peace treaties.&nbsp; The Philistines, who had invaded the land\nwith their armies for hundreds of years, were decimated militarily, and were\nunable to so much as raise an army against Israel (or anyone else, for that\nmatter) for more than three hundred years.<\/span><\/b><span style='font-size:\n13.0pt;color:#192763'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal on this particular element, but I wanted to set\nthe stage for your understanding the enormous significance of the letter to the\nEkklesia in Philadelphia.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";\ncolor:#A50021'>Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my\nGod, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God,\nand the name of the city of my God, <i>which is<\/i> new Jerusalem, which cometh\ndown out of heaven from my God: and <i>I will write upon him<\/i> my new name.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal building.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The implications of this statement are\nintriguing.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The overcomer becomes a\npillar in the temple.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The Greek word for\npillar is, <\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Gourmand\",\"serif\";\ncolor:navy'>stulos<\/span><\/i><\/b><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\n\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>, and this word literally translates as \u201csupport.\u201d<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The Greek word used in this instance for\ntemple is also interesting.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It is the\nword, <\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Gourmand\",\"serif\";\ncolor:navy'>naos<\/span><\/i><\/b><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>What I find fascinating is that the primary\nroot of this word means \u201cto dwell,\u201d hence when used as a noun, we are talking\nabout a \u201cdwelling place.\u201d<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Now, take that\nusage and let\u2019s re-read this statement.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Jerusalem is not Heaven \u2014 as John makes\nvery clear in this statement.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>What he\nsees is a picture of a glorious Bride whom the Lord has been preparing for\nHimself throughout the ages.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal those\nwho have overcome all obstacles, all trials, those who have been the literal\npicture of worship and adoration and total, uncompromised commitment are the\nBride with whom He will dwell style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>The\nstudy of this city is a study in the makeup of the Bride.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>There are so many metaphors in John\u2019s\ndescription that it would take us away from the focus of this study \u2014 and\nperhaps I will have the chance to deal with that in a later series.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>But let me just make note of all of the\ntwelve\u2019s used in this description and remind you that the number, twelve, is a\npicture of Ekklesia.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It is the picture\nof the preparation process that has been going on throughout our lives.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It is the preparation for the ruling and\nreigning throughout eternity \u2014 OK, the eternities of the eternities \u2014 with the\nLord, and being seated on the Throne with Him.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>We\u2019ve\ntalked about this number, twelve, before, the mathematical precision of God,\nand the preciseness of these processes in each of our lives.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>We won\u2019t revisit that today.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>I just want to remind you that everything\nthat God has done in your life, my life \u2014 all of us \u2014 is for His Glory.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>All of these events that have unfolded in our\nlives have been so that we can dwell in the House of the Lord forever!<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Everything has been designed by Him so that\nHe can dwell with us forever!<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>I\u2019ve\nprobably shared this with you before, but I\u2019m reminded of the time many years\nago when I stood in front of the mirror, realizing just how far I was away from\nthe promises God had made to me as a youngster, and how much remained to be\naccomplished in order for me to see the fulfillment of those promises.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>I said \u2014 almost out loud, \u201cLord, you mean you\ncould stand to live with me forever?\u201d<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>I\ncould hear His laughter as He responded, \u201cBy the time you get here, you\u2019ll be <b>so\nchanged<\/b>!\u201d<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>That\nwas more than 40 years ago.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The changes\nthat have taken place in my life are staggering when I look back.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Change takes place almost daily.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>All I have to do is to look back even a year\nto see the change that has taken place.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Looking\nback at things I taught and shared 20 or 30 years ago makes me laugh at\ntimes.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>What the Lord has revealed in\nthose years makes some of what I thought was so important pale into\ninsignificance.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Thirty\nyears ago, I wrote, published and distributed an article titled, A Vision For\nPraise and Worship.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It was OK, insofar\nas it went.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The problem was that it was\nseriously incomplete!<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>What the Lord has\nunfolded in the intervening years has multiplied my understanding of praise and\nworship.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>There are dimensions that God\nhas for us that weren\u2019t even touched in that article.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>That,\nmy friends, takes us back to understanding the Key of David.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>When\nJohn began writing the letter to the Ekklesia in Philadelphia, it began with, <\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";color:#A50021'>\u201cThese\nthings saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David,\nhe that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;\u201d<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",\"serif\";\ncolor:red'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Everyone\nknows that the primary purpose of a key is to open a door, or to lock a door,\nto open a gate, or to lock a gate.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The\nessence of what John sees and writes is that to those who understand, have been\ngiven the Key of David \u2014 or more accurately, to those to whom the Lord utilizes\nthe Key of David available \u2014 the door to the House of the Lord has been opened.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>And,\nas John saw and wrote in Revelation 21, <\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\nfont-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";color:#A50021'>And there shall in no\nwise enter into it <span class=SpellE>any thing<\/span> that <span class=SpellE>defileth<\/span>,\nneither <i>whatsoever<\/i> worketh abomination, or <i>maketh<\/i> a lie: but they\nwhich are written in the Lamb\u2019s book of style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Thus,\nwhen the Lord shuts, and no man opens, the permanent dwelling in House of the\nLord is ONLY for the overcomer.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It is\nnot for the compromiser.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It is not for\nthose who pray \u201cthe sinner\u2019s prayer,\u201d and never advance in their spiritual\ngrowth.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\ncolor:black'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Let\nme pause here, for a second, to point out that there is a distinct difference\nbetween \u201cthe House of the Lord\u201d and Heaven.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\n<\/span>Heaven is a promise to all who repent of their sin and acknowledge that\nJesus Christ\u2019s death on the Cross for their sin, and His subsequent\nresurrection from the dead are their ONLY means to Salvation.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>And that Salvation is a spiritual step.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Their spirits are saved, but there is a whole\nlot more to be accomplished in their lives if they are to manifest the presence\nof the Lord.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>For\nmany years, the Pentecostal movement labeled the \u201cbaptism in the Spirit\u201d as the\nfinal step in our Salvation.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>In fact, 50\nyears ago or more I heard Pentecostal preachers actually say that \u201conce you\u2019ve\nbeen baptized in the Holy Spirit, you\u2019ve arrived.\u201d<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Baloney!<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Once you\u2019ve been baptized in the Holy Spirit,\nyou finally have access to a dimension where Holy Spirit can work the changes\nin you that are necessary to begin manifesting what Salvation is all\nabout.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Holy Spirit can finally deal with\naspects of your life that you\u2019ve not been willing to yield and submit to His\nprocessing that you\u2019ve been blind to previously.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>For the first time in your life, you are\nreally at the beginning of your walk in God.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Sounds\ncrazy, I know, and it sure doesn\u2019t fit the doctrines and dogma of many churches\nand denominations and organizations, but it\u2019s the truth.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Take a look at where we\u2019ve been in this\nadventure.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>NOW,\nHe begins to lead us in the Paths of Righteousness \u2014 and those paths are going\nto lead us right to the door of the House of the Lord.<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>If we\u2019ve responded (instead of reacting)\nthroughout the years of His dealings, if we\u2019ve overcome our Enemies, if we\u2019ve\novercome all obstacles, if we\u2019ve overcome all of the families of fear who\u2019ve\nattempted to stop us in our trek towards the House of the Lord, if we\u2019ve moved\nout in the anointing and commissioning that God has given us, if we\u2019ve lived a\nlife of worship, THEN we have arrived at the door of the House of the Lord.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span
