Spiritual Hierarchy & Authority, Part 5<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Are you seeing how this manipulation\nand witchcraft work?\u00a0 <\/span>Are you seeing the\nparallels to that which has happened in this nation over the past many\nyears?\u00a0 <\/span>Are you seeing the parallels to\nthat which has contaminated the body of Christ?\u00a0\n<\/span>Good!\u00a0 <\/span>Then we are making\nprogress.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

The\nnext characteristic of those who have been compromised by the Fear of Man is <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(5)\nBribery.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For\nan individual under the dominance of the Fear of Man, there are several means\nof bribing that can be employed.\u00a0 <\/span>A\nprimary tenet of the Fear of Man is the need to be seen as the equal \u2013 or the\nsuperior of \u2013 the individual(s) feared.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nlove of money is used in this instance because people suffering from the this\nfear believe that \u201cmoney provides power.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/span>There is an old clich\u00e9 you\u2019ve all heard at one time or another, and that\nclich\u00e9 comes from this place of fear.\u00a0\n<\/span>They often call it \u201cThe Golden Rule.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/span>\u201cThem that\u2019s got the gold makes the rules.\u201d<\/o:p><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus,\nif you fear someone because of their status in society, their position, or\ntheir wealth, you believe that money will get you everything they\u2019ve got.\u00a0 <\/span>Hand in hand with the love of money comes the\nlove of power and position.\u00a0 <\/span>If you fear\nsomeone or certain people, then having an honored position and public esteem\n(e.g., Man of the Year, President So and So, The Right Reverend Doctor (insert\nyour name), being listed in prominent publications as \u201cWho\u2019s Who,\u201d etc., etc.,\netc.)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

6. Spiritual Deafness <\/span><\/b>is a byproduct of the foregoing spiritual\ncharacteristics and demonic realms.\u00a0\n<\/span>Balaam wasn\u2019t willing to simply accept God\u2019s Word to him concerning\nBalak\u2019s request.\u00a0 <\/span>Although his initial\nresponse was the proper response to Balak\u2019s \u201chonorable men,\u201d when Balak (who\nwas spiritually deaf himself) sent \u201cmore honorable\u201d princes to entice Balaam,\nhe succumbs to the pressure of enticement and bribery.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Numbers 22:15-19<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>And Balak sent\nyet again princes, more, and more honourable than they. And they came to\nBalaam, and said to him, Thus saith Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I\npray thee, hinder thee from coming unto me: <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>For I will promote\nthee unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever thou sayest<\/span>\nunto me: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If\nBalak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the\nword of the LORD my God, to do less or more. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>Now therefore, I pray\nyou, tarry ye also here this night, that I may know what the LORD will say unto\nme more.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Brotherrr!!\u00a0 <\/span>Balaam gives the \u201creligiously correct\u201d\nanswer, and then turns around and says, \u201cWait a minute.\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s see if God might say something\ndifferent to me.\u00a0 <\/span>Perhaps He might change\nHis mind on this matter and actually let me go with you!\u201d<\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Giving\nreligiously correct answers is one of the natural byproducts of the spiritual\ndeafness that comes from succumbing to the Fear of Man.\u00a0 <\/span>And, of course, religion is a direct result\nof succumbing to the Fear of Evil.\u00a0 <\/span>We\nhaven't really exhausted all the pictures that we could look at in the examples\nwith Balaam and Balak, but this series of Coffee Breaks was not intended to be\na treatise on their story.\u00a0 <\/span>I want to\nmove on to another series of pictures.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve\nnot talked much about the Fear of Evil in these examples, but this is a master\nspirit.\u00a0 <\/span>The Fear of Man and the Fear of\nDeath work hand in hand with the Fear of Evil, but the Fear of Evil is pretty\nmuch the granddaddy of all evil spirits.\u00a0\n<\/span>The Fear of Evil holds authority over regional evil spirits.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nalready noted, Daniel speaks of the Prince of Persia and the Prince of\nGreece.\u00a0 <\/span>These are ruling regional\nspirits that oversee the demonic activity in those nations.\u00a0 <\/span>But these spirits are \u201c<\/span>Kosmokrator<\/span><\/i><\/b>,\u201d \u2014 rulers,\noverseers, manipulators\u00a0 <\/span>of the darkness\nthat pervades those nations.\u00a0 <\/span>And each of\nthem answer to the \u201c<\/span>arch\u00e9<\/span><\/i><\/b>,\u201d who happens to be the Fear of Evil.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Before\nwe move on to our next group of \u201ckings\u201d or \u201cprinces,\u201d let me pause to remind\nyou that the Fear of Evil was the very first wicked spirit that manifested when\nAdam and Eve ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.\u00a0 <\/span>The knowledge of evil always<\/i><\/b>\nbrings the spirit we know as the Fear of Evil.\u00a0\n<\/span>That fear is rooted in an unholy fear of God \u2014 a fear not based in love\n\u2014 and it is a fear predicated on the fact that Satan knows without doubt that\nhe has been judged by God and that his time is limited.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As a\nbeing who was created as an eternal being initially, for there to now be a\nsentence against him that limits his existence to time itself (and we know that\ntime has an end to it!), it has created a fear and terror in him that knows no\nbounds.\u00a0 <\/span>It also has generated a hatred\nof God that works hand in hand with that same fear.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hence,\nthe Fear of Evil is the <\/span>arch\u00e9<\/span><\/i><\/b> working behind and above every other\nregional or national spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>Naturally,\nwhen you have that fear at work in a nation, the Fear of Man and the Fear of Death\nwork in concert with it.\u00a0 <\/span>This is why we\nsee such insanity as exists in ISIS, or the BLM movement, or the ANTIFA\nmovement \u2014 and every other terrorist agenda.\u00a0\n<\/span>Islam is founded upon the worship of a god \u2014 Allah \u2014 who is the very\nantithesis of the Lord God Almighty, the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Allah\u2019s\nagenda is rooted in a hatred of, and a fear of the God of Abraham, Isaac and\nJacob.\u00a0 <\/span>I don\u2019t want to get into all of\nthat today, but it is important for us to see and understand the hierarchy of\nthe demonic activity that takes place in this world \u2014 and that which has sought\nto invade the United States of America.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nso-called mantra of \u201cinclusion\u201d is rooted in Satan\u2019s effort to undermine the\nunderpinnings of this nation in its covenant with God and with the Lord Jesus\nChrist.\u00a0 <\/span>It is also a trap that has been\nlaid within the body of Christ -- and specifically within various\ndenominational churches (and even within some of the so-called\n"independent churches."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nshould probably point out that Israel \u2014 for millennia \u2014 was the only nation on\nthe planet that had a covenant-relationship with God.\u00a0 <\/span>Some three centuries ago, our forefathers set\nfoot on this land we now call America and vowed that this land would have a\ncovenant with the Lord Jesus Christ, that they would ultimately establish a\nnation whose existence would be rooted in the propagation of the Gospel of the\nLord Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>When the American\nCovenant was formed, our founding fathers enshrined our nation\u2019s establishing\nwith that purpose at the core of our existence.\u00a0\n<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

America\nwas established as a Christian nation, and in 1898, the United States Supreme\nCourt ruled that America was, indeed, a Christian nation \u2014 not a\nmulti-religious nation with the worship of other gods.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\u2019ve\nsomewhat sidestepped our original discussion, but I wanted you to see how the\nEnemy\u2019s hierarchy has worked to subvert our foundations so as to destroy the\neffectiveness of God\u2019s people\u00a0 <\/span>and our\ntestimony globally.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\ncould go on and on with more examples out of the pictures of Balaam and Balak,\nbut you should have a fairly clear understanding by now of what has been taking\nplace.\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s move on to the next rather\ngraphic set of examples in a prophetic Psalm penned by Asaph.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Rather\nthan begin as we have before with the specific mention of this \u201cking\u201d and his\nactivities as laid out in I Samuel, let\u2019s first go to Asaph\u2019s prophecy.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 83:1-8 (NIV)<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>O God, do not keep silent; be not\nquiet, O God, be not still. See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear\ntheir heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against\nthose you cherish.\u00a0 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cCome,\u201d they say, \u201clet us destroy\nthem as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>With one mind they plot together; they form\nan alliance against you- The tents of Edom (descendants of Esau) and the\nIshmaelites, of Moab (remember our study of Balak) and the Hagrites (other\ndescendants of Hagar \u2013 *see note below), <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Gebal (Phoenicians \u2013 modern-day\nLebanese), Ammon (modern-day Amman, Jordan \u2013 Palestinians) and Amalek\n(descendants of Esau\u2019s grandson, most noted in Scripture for their\nguerilla-type warfare), Philistia (the Philistines \u2013 modern-day Palestinians\nresiding in the Gaza strip), with the people of Tyre (ancient Phoenician\ncapitol occupied by the Amorites \u2013 modern Syria). <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Even Assyria (an empire whose only\nremaining evidence is the country of Syria) has joined them to lend strength to\nthe descendants of Lot.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nmakes this prophetic passage so remarkable is that it is an event unfolding\neven today as we speak.\u00a0 <\/span>There has never\nbeen an assemblage of nations or tribes such as this one in all of history.\u00a0 <\/span>Certain partial groupings of these nations\nhave assembled against Israel in the past, but never this specific group.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Arrayed\nin this group are virtually every major \u201cking\u201d with the exception of Babylon \u2013\nand yet we see Babylon\u2019s influence in the Baal-worship represented in most \u2013 if\nnot all \u2013 of these nations.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n

*Note\non the Hagrites (Hagarites or Hagarenes KJV)\u00a0\n<\/span>Following Hagar and Ishmael\u2019s being cast out of Abraham\u2019s household at\nthe commandment of the Lord, history tells us that Hagar had an alliance or a\nkind of marriage relationship with another man (possibly of Egyptian\nheritage).\u00a0 <\/span>She had several children of\nthis union who joined forces together to form a tribal group that occupied the\nnorthern Negev, part of the Saudi Arabian Peninsula and a portion of what used\nto be known as Aram in Mesopotamia.\u00a0\n<\/span>Scripture refers only to these descendants under the generic term:\nHagarites or Hagrites or Hagarenes.<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n

In\nthe same way that Ishmael\u2019s descendants were almost continually at war for\ntheir whole existence against Israel, the Hagarites likewise were continually\npart of Israel\u2019s harassment throughout history.\u00a0\n<\/span>The Arabs of the Arabian Peninsula today are partly descended from the\nHagarites.<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\npicture that is drawn in Asaph\u2019s prophecy is distinctive because it is typical\nof how demons \u2013 all of whom are driven by fear \u2013 conspire together against the\npeople of God.\u00a0 <\/span>Demonic spirits rarely,\nif ever, operate on their own.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nspirit of man exists due to its origin in the very breath of God Himself; Satan\nand his former angels form the basis for all demonic power; and evil spirits\nare all under the very foot of Jesus.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For\nthat reason they all use deception, trickery, lust or enticement of some kind\n(usually based in fear), and gang up on people thinking to intimidate and force\nSatan\u2019s agenda.\u00a0 <\/span>Demons operate with a\n\u201cgang mentality.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hence,\nwe see the picture in Asaph\u2019s prophecy of the dominant spirits that drive Edom,\nIshmael, Moab, the Hagarites, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, the Philistines, Tyre, and\nAssyria \u2013 ten altogether \u2013 confederating themselves in a conspiracy to\neradicate Israel from the face of the earth and eliminating all trace of God\u2019s\nheritage and promise of blessing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\ntalked last week (and the week before) about Moab\u2019s joining forces with Midian,\nAmalek and Edom, calling on Balaam (who says that Balak brought him from Aram)\nto call down curses on Israel so that they would be destroyed.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nhave another picture of this fear and \u201cgang mentality\u201d displayed in Amalek.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Take\na quick look at some of their history.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Exodus 17:8-16<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses\nsaid unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: tomorrow I\nwill stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>So Joshua did as\nMoses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur<\/span> went up to the top of the hill.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel\nprevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>But Moses\u2019 hands were<\/i>\nheavy; and they took a stone, and put it<\/i> under him, and he sat thereon;\nand Aaron and Hur<\/span> stayed up his hands, the one on the\none side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the\ngoing down of the sun.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of\nthe sword. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And\nthe LORD said unto Moses, Write this for<\/i> a memorial in a book, and\nrehearse it<\/i> in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the\nremembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and called\nthe name of it Jehovahnissi: <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>For he said, Because\nthe LORD hath sworn that<\/i> the LORD will have<\/i> war with Amalek from\ngeneration to generation.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Other\nthan our first reference to Amalek in Genesis 36:12 as descending from Esau,\nthis is the first time we see Amalek\u2019s behavior towards the people of God, and\ntheir intention is to block Israel from receiving the promised and covenanted\nland.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We'll\nstop here for today and pick up next week with the characteristics of this\nruling spirit next week.\u00a0 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
