Spiritual Hierarchy & Authority, Part 8<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

We barely got started last week with\nthe picture of Haman as the last of the Amalekites and his finish.\u00a0 <\/span>We started the picture of his conspiracy in\nEsther 3, and we will pick that up again.\u00a0\n<\/span>One of the things that is important for us to realize is that the Fear\nof Death absolutely thrives in conspiracies and conspiracy theories.\u00a0 <\/span>These conspiracies are an effort to ward off\ndeath and to attempt one's own protection and salvation by their own reasoning,\nthought processes and manipulation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Conspiracy and conspiracies can\nNEVER be a part of the life of God's people!\u00a0\n<\/span>If we are going to rule and reign with the authority that has been given\nto us in Christ Jesus, we never have to focus on the conspiracies of those who\nlive their lives in utter fear.\u00a0 <\/span>Neither\ndo we have to fear any conspiracy of the Enemy.\u00a0\n<\/span>Holy Spirit always provides the intervention and destruction of the\nEnemy's conspiracies against us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Esther\u2019s\nfasting has paid dividends.\u00a0 <\/span>On this very\nnight, the king is restless and cannot sleep so he commands that the records of\nthe chronicles of his kingship be brought and read before him. \u00a0<\/span>This, by the way, was roughly tantamount to\ncounting sheep.\u00a0 <\/span>It was a means for him\nto be bored and put to sleep.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Instead,\nhis ears perk up when he hears how Mordecai saved his life some years before,\nand he wonders what kind of reward Mordecai received since nothing is\nmentioned. Despite the early hour of the morning, he asks his servants who\nmight be present in the court and finds out Haman has just arrived.\u00a0 <\/span>Haman thinks to ask the king permission to\nhang Mordecai, but God \u2013 and the king \u2013 have a VERY different plan!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Despite\nthe early hour of the morning, he asks his servants who might be present in the\ncourt and finds out Haman has just arrived.\u00a0\n<\/span>Haman thinks to ask the king permission to hang Mordecai, but God \u2013 and\nthe king \u2013 have a VERY different plan!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Haman\ninstead winds up having to array Mordecai in the king\u2019s royal garments and\nparade him on the king\u2019s royal donkey throughout the capital city of Susa\nproclaiming with a loud voice (and acting instead as a royal herald instead of\na noble prince), \u201cThis is what happens to a man that the king chooses and\ndelights in honoring.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Oooops!\u00a0 <\/span>So much for Haman\u2019s request to hang Mordecai.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Haman\ngoes home in disgrace and tells his wife what has happened.\u00a0 <\/span>She thereupon says to him, \u201cHaman, if\nMordecai is of this race, the Jews, whom you have sought to destroy, not only\nwill you NOT be able to kill them, you will fall instead.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Zeresh,\nHaman\u2019s wife, was entirely prophetic in this moment.\u00a0 <\/span>While she was still speaking to him, the\nking\u2019s servants came to escort Haman to the queen\u2019s banquet of wine.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Esther\n7:1-10<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>So\nthe king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen. And the king said\nagain unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is<\/i> thy\npetition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is<\/i> thy\nrequest? and it shall be performed, even<\/i> to the half of the kingdom<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Then Esther\nthe queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and\nif it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at\nmy request: For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and\nto perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my\ntongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king\u2019s damage<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Then the king\nAhasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he,\nthat durst presume in his heart to do so? And Esther said, The adversary and\nenemy is<\/i> this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and\nthe queen.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went<\/i>\ninto the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to\nEsther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the\nking. Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the\nbanquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was<\/i>.\nThen said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the\nword went out of the king\u2019s mouth, they covered Haman\u2019s face.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king,\nBehold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai,\nwho had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king\nsaid, Hang him thereon. So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had\nprepared for Mordecai. Then was the king\u2019s wrath pacified.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nevening proceeds in much the same manner as the previous one, and the king is\nfeeling exceptionally generous towards the queen.\u00a0 <\/span>He hasn\u2019t forgotten that she put him off the\nnight before and promised to answer his question tonight, and so it becomes the\nfirst order of business.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cEsther,\nmy queen, what is your petition?\u00a0 <\/span>I\npromise that whatever you ask will be granted \u2013 even to giving up half of the\nkingdom.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Wow!\u00a0 <\/span>And Esther wastes no time in getting down to\nbusiness.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cIf\nyou find me pleasing to you, then let my life and my people be preserved\nalive.\u00a0 <\/span>We have been sold to be killed\nand to perish from off the earth.\u00a0 <\/span>Had we\nsimply been sold into slavery, I would have said nothing.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Xerxes\nis purple with rage.\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cWho would dare to\npresume against you and against me to do such a thing?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nthe answer comes: \u201cThe adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Nothing\nmore remained to be said from the moment.\u00a0\n<\/span>Haman\u2019s fate was sealed.\u00a0 <\/span>One of\nthe king\u2019s servants, Harbonah, spoke up and pointed out the 75-foot high\ngallows Haman had built to hang Mordecai, the man who had saved the king\u2019s\nlife.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cHang\nhim on his own gallows,\u201d was the command.\u00a0\n<\/span>But wait, we\u2019re not done yet.\u00a0 <\/span>A\nlawful order has gone forth in the king\u2019s name to destroy the Jews.\u00a0 <\/span>Hanging Haman was only the first order.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Here\nis the crux of this very spiritual picture.\u00a0\n<\/span>You can bring down the spirit of Agag, but you\u2019d best finish the job by\ncountering the conspiracies and activities of all the spirits that are in\nagreement.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

A\nrighteous process is unfolding now which demonstrates the vengeance of God\ntowards the enemies of His people.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Haman\u2019s\nhouse, his palace and all his holdings are given to Esther as a gift.\u00a0 <\/span>Mordecai is made Prime Minister in Haman\u2019s\nstead and given the same royal sea of authority the enemy had used against him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

With\nHaman out of the way, the king says again, \u201cWhat can I do more for you?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And Esther requests\nthat an order go forth throughout the same provinces giving the Jews permission\nto defend themselves against any who would rise up against them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And Xerxes\nimmediately granted Mordecai the authority and responsibility of sending out\nthat letter authorizing the Jews to defend themselves and destroy all who would\nrise up against them.\u00a0 <\/span>But the job still\nis not finished.\u00a0 <\/span>There still remains one\nmore job to finish.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Esther 9:12-16<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>And the king said\nunto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in\nShushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest\nof the king\u2019s provinces? now what is<\/i> thy petition? and it shall be\ngranted thee: or what is<\/i> thy request further? and it shall be done. \u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to\nthe Jews which are<\/i> in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this\nday\u2019s decree, and let Haman\u2019s ten sons be hanged upon the gallows<\/u>. And\nthe king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and\nthey hanged Haman\u2019s ten sons.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For the Jews that were<\/i> in Shushan gathered themselves\ntogether on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred\nmen at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand. \u00a0<\/span><\/sup>But the other Jews that were<\/i> in\nthe king\u2019s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives,\nand had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five\nthousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So\nEsther finishes what her ancestor King Saul failed to accomplish.\u00a0 <\/span>She finishes off the seed of the Amalekites\nand sees the seed of Agag finally put to death.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nis an important picture for all of us to consider.\u00a0 <\/span>We cannot rest on our laurels when we first\nexperience victory over the enemy.\u00a0 <\/span>The\nenemy isn\u2019t finished until all of his family is likewise killed off.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Agag\nwas finally finished, but the spirit that ruled him still survives for us to\nstand against today.\u00a0 <\/span>We cannot rest.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
