 <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tMy prayer for all those who read this series and consider it is that the \n\tSpirit of Wisdom and Revelation unfolds for them some real clarity as to the \n\tspirit realm \u2013 and further, that each person will come to understand not \n\tonly who they are in Christ Jesus, but also who the Lord Jesus Christ is in \n\tthem!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThe events that we are discussing from Scripture are not mere historical \n\thappenings.  These are clear descriptions of how Satan operates.  His \n\tmodus operandi has not changed from the beginning of time.  He is \n\tabsolutely stuck in a rut.  He always does the same thing over and over \n\tand over again!  Everything he does is based in fear \u2013 his fear!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tWhenever we experience fear, it is important to remember that Satan is the \n\tone who is afraid.  He is just about out of time!  He is trying to \n\tpermeate us with his fear and get us to act and behave out of fear.  \n\tWatch, now, what happens with King Asa.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tNow we come to the picture of Ben-Hadad as it unfolds in I Kings 15.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tI Kings 15:17-22<\/span><\/b>:  <\/span>\n\t\n\tAnd Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he \n\tmight not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. Then Asa \n\ttook all the silver and the gold that were<\/i> left in the treasures of \n\tthe house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king\u2019s house, and delivered \n\tthem into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to BenHadad, the \n\tson of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, \n\tsaying,<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\t

\n\tThere is<\/span><\/i> a league \n\tbetween me and thee, and<\/i> between my father and thy father: behold, I \n\thave sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league \n\twith Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>So \n\tBenHadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which \n\the had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon<\/span>, \n\tand Dan, and Abelbethmaachah and all Cinneroth, with all the land of \n\tNaphtali. And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof<\/i>, that he \n\tleft off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\t

\n\tThen king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none \n\twas<\/i> exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber \n\tthereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built with them Geba of \n\tBenjamin, and Mizpah.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tAsk yourself why Asa the king of Judah would want to take the treasures out \n\tof the House of the Lord \u2013 along with the treasures out of his own house \u2013 \n\tand use them to bribe the king of Syria into providing Judah with protection \n\tagainst the king of Israel.  Is it logical?<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIt becomes logical when you go back to I Kings 11 and read how and why Hadad \n\twas stirred up against Solomon, and why there would be an ingrained hatred \n\tin the Syrian king towards Israel.  Hadad was a lone survivor of the \n\tking\u2019s seed when David\u2019s military captain, Joab, slaughtered all the men of \n\tEdom (who, incidentally, had risen up against David and Israel in a \n\tconcerted effort to block David from taking more of the land and territories \n\tGod had promised Israel).<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tHadad was spirited into Egypt as a child where the Egyptian Pharaoh watched \n\tover him and tutored him as he grew, eventually giving Hadad his daughter to \n\tbecome his wife.  Hadad had an ingrained hatred towards Israel and a \n\theart of revenge as the survivor of a slaughter.  That revenge and \n\thatred were easily passed on genetically and spiritually to his sons and \n\tgrandsons.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThus, when Asa \u2013 who knew of the history \u2013 wanted protection against Baasha, \n\this first thought was that the only thing that would ease a sense of revenge \n\ttowards Judah would be a huge bribe.  So instead of simply stopping by \n\tgiving BenHadad all his personal wealth, the fear in him was so great that \n\the took the wealth of the Temple of Solomon and used it as well.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tBen-Hadad\u2019s grudging acceptance of the bribe showed the nature of the \n\tdemonic hatred that was in him.  It also makes clear the fact that what \n\twas epitomized in Ben-Hadad is a spirit which seeks to impoverish God\u2019s \n\tpeople AND take the finances intended for the propagation of the Word of \n\tGod.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tTake a look at another similar event.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tI Kings 20:1-6<\/span><\/u><\/b>: \n\t<\/span>\n\t\n\tAnd BenHadad the king of Syria gathered all his host together: and there \n\twere<\/i> thirty and two kings with him, and horses, and chariots: and he \n\twent up and besieged Samaria, and warred against it. <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And \n\the sent messengers to Ahab king of Israel into the city, and said unto him, \n\tThus saith BenHadad, Thy silver and thy gold is<\/i> mine; thy wives also \n\tand thy children, even<\/i> the goodliest, are<\/i> mine.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\tAnd the king of Israel answered and said, My lord, O king, \n\taccording to thy saying, I am<\/i> thine, and all that I have. And the \n\tmessengers came again, and said, Thus speaketh BenHadad, saying, Although I \n\thave sent unto thee, saying, Thou shalt deliver me thy silver, and thy gold, \n\tand thy wives, and thy children; Yet I will send my servants unto thee\n\tto morrow<\/span> about this time, and they shall search \n\tthine house, and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, that<\/i> \n\twhatsoever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall put it<\/i> in their \n\thand, and take it<\/i> away.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThis picture of Ben-Hadad is augmented and amplified a couple of generations \n\tlater during the time of Elisha.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tAnother descendant of Hadad \u2013 also known as Ben-Hadad \u2013 comes to the throne \n\tof Syria.  We see the events unfold in II Kings 6.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tII Kings 6:24-25<\/span><\/u><\/b>: \n\t<\/span>\n\t\n\tAnd it came to pass after this, that BenHadad king of Syria gathered all his \n\thost, and went up, and besieged Samaria. And there was a great famine in \n\tSamaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass\u2019s head was sold<\/i> \n\tfor fourscore pieces<\/i> of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of \n\tdove\u2019s dung for five pieces<\/i> of silver.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tII Kings 7:1-20<\/span><\/u><\/b>: \n\t<\/span>\n\t\n\tThen Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, \n\tTomorrow about this time shall<\/i> a measure of fine flour be sold<\/i> \n\tfor a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of \n\tSamaria. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, \n\tand said, Behold, if<\/i> the LORD would make windows in heaven, might \n\tthis thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it<\/i> with thine \n\teyes, but shalt not eat thereof.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\tAnd there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: \n\tand they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die? If we say, We \n\twill enter into the city, then the famine is<\/i> in the city, and we \n\tshall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also.  Now therefore \n\tcome, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, \n\twe shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die. <\/span>\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And \n\tthey rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when \n\tthey were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there \n\twas<\/i> no man there.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\t

\n\tFor the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of \n\tchariots, and a noise of horses, even<\/i> the noise of a great host: and \n\tthey said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the \n\tkings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us. \n\tWherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and \n\ttheir horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was<\/i>, and fled for \n\ttheir life. And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, \n\tthey went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, \n\tand gold, and raiment, and went and hid it<\/i>; and came again, and \n\tentered into another tent, and carried thence also<\/i>, and went and hid\n\tit<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\tThen they said one to another, We do not well: this day is<\/i> \n\ta day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning \n\tlight, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go \n\tand tell the king\u2019s household. <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>So \n\tthey came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, \n\tsaying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was<\/i> no \n\tman there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the \n\ttents as they were<\/i>. <\/span>\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And \n\the called the porters; and they told it<\/i> to the king\u2019s house within.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\tAnd the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I \n\twill now show you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be<\/i> \n\thungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the \n\tfield, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, \n\tand get into the city.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\t

\n\tAnd one of his servants answered and said, Let some<\/i> take, \n\tI pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city, \n\t(behold, they are<\/i> as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: \n\tbehold, I say<\/i>, they are<\/i> even as all the multitude of the \n\tIsraelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\t

\n\tThey took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent after \n\tthe host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see. <\/span>\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And \n\tthey went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was<\/i> full of \n\tgarments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And \n\tthe messengers returned, and told the king. <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And \n\tthe people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\tSo a measure of fine flour was sold<\/i> for a shekel, and two \n\tmeasures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD. <\/span>\n\t\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And \n\tthe king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of \n\tthe gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man \n\tof God had said, who spake when the king came down to him.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\tAnd it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, \n\tsaying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for \n\ta shekel, shall be tomorrow about this time in the gate of Samaria: <\/span>\n\t\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And \n\tthat lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if<\/i> the LORD \n\tshould make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, \n\tthou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. <\/span>\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And \n\tso it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he \n\tdied.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tWhat makes this story so revealing about the character and nature of the \n\tspirit of Ben-Hadad is that wealth, money, and possessions \u2013 and the \n\thoarding of them, keeping them close for fear of losing them \u2013 are so \n\timportant that it is essential to go to war and carry that wealth along.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tWe see, then, that the essential nature of this presiding spirit is to \n\tdeprive the people of God of their wealth, their resources, their finances \u2013 \n\tall that they have \u2013 and keep them so poverty-stricken they can\u2019t even find \n\tfood to eat for survival\u2019s sake.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tNotice, however, that it is the prophet of God \u2013 in the foregoing event, \n\tElisha \u2013 who prophesies the restoration of that wealth to Israel.  \n\tTwice more in Israel\u2019s history we see a king Ben-Hadad oppressing the \n\tnation, and twice more we see the prophets of God \u2013 Jeremiah and Amos \u2013 \n\tprophesying the retrieval of all that this spirit had stolen.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThroughout the history of Syria and the kings Hadad and Ben-Hadad, we see \n\tthem joining forces with the kings of Assyria and Egypt in order to oppress \n\tGod\u2019s people, and it is still a mark of that spirit in the world today.  \n\tI will remind you once again that evil spirits always work together with one \n\tanother in order to accomplish their goal and objective of stealing, killing \n\tand destroying.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tYou see, also, in the picture of the that lord upon whom the king leaned, \n\tthe spirit of fear, doubt and unbelief.  The fact that the prophet of \n\tGod decreed total reversal to Israel\u2019s situation within a 24-hour period was \n\tsimply too much.  He spoke his doubt and unbelief out loud to the king, \n\tas well as to Elisha, the prophet.  The words that came out of that \n\tman\u2019s mouth became his own destruction.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tSo it is today with Christians who fall prey to the spirits of Doubt and \n\tUnbelief.  They are afflicted with the spirit of the Fear of Death, and \n\twhen the Lord speaks something of a turnaround or reversal to their plight, \n\tand that turnaround comes within a period of time that their logic and human \n\treasoning tell them is impossible, they choose to continue eating from the \n\tTree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.  They wind up speaking the \n\twords that become their own judgment.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tWhat we have seen and considered in the events as revealed in these \n\tScriptures is a picture of today.  We are living in the midst of chaos \n\tand destruction on a scale hitherto unknown.  The promise of God to all \n\tof us is radical turnaround!  Do we believe His Word?<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tAre we going to allow ourselves to be overtaken by the chaos?  Are we \n\tgoing to allow ourselves to pay attention to the lies and the \u201cfake news\u201d \n\tdesigned to bring division and strife among people?  Are we going to \n\twake up and recognize the operation of the various demonic spirits, the \n\tArch\u00e9 and the Kosmokrator who are hard at work to destroy this nation as \n\twell as the nations of the world?<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tFolks, we are the sons and daughters of the Most High God!  Why are we \n\tsitting idly by allowing this garbage nonsense to permeate our society?  \n\tIt is time for us to become activists \u2013 spiritual activists!  It is \n\ttime for us to rise up against these demonic powers, subdue them and drive \n\tthem out of our society!  We have that authority, and we have that \n\tpower in the name \u2013 the onoma \u2013 of the Lord Jesus Christ!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t
