 <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tI\u2019m going to run extra long today in order to complete this part of the \n\tdiscussion, so bear with me.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tLet\u2019s see if we can summarize this picture of the keys little more \n\tspecifically.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t1.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tEverything is rooted and grounded in the fact that Jesus is the Anointed \n\tOne, the Son of the Living God.  That is His <\/span>\n\t\n\tonoma<\/span><\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t2.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tFor the keys of the Kingdom to work, the revelation of Jesus as the Anointed \n\tOne, the Son of the Living God, MUST come from the Father (and the Father \n\tgives that revelation to us by and through the Holy Spirit).  (Simon \n\twent from being simply one who heard the Word to one who had revelation \n\tbreak forth in his being.  That revelation changed him forever.)<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t3.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tUpon the foundation of Jesus being the Anointed One, THE Son of the Living \n\tGod, the Ekklesia began to be built \u2013 and it is being built today!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t4.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tBecause the Ekklesia is built on THE ROCK, Christ Jesus, it is immovable and \n\tso grounded in Christ Jesus that the governing powers of Hell can neither \n\toverpower nor move it from its place of absolute authority.  (Note the \n\tsimiles that Jesus uses in His illustration.)<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t5.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tWith the foundation of Heaven\u2019s authority established in us comes the \n\tability, the authority and the power to lock up or unlock Heaven in order to \n\tbind or restrict, or break up and dissolve the powers of Hell on earth.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t6.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tWith that same authority comes the empowerment to enact the Will and divine \n\tpurposes of God the Father \u2013 as well as His heart\u2019s desire \u2013 in the earth in \n\tthe same way that it already exists in Heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t7.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tPut more simply, this is the authority and power to lock up or unlock \n\tHeaven\u2019s resources \u2013 in accordance with the Father\u2019s Will \u2013 so that Earth \n\tonce again becomes a mirror image of Heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tWhat this means is that these \u201ckeys\u201d are substantive: they are not \n\tmetaphorical, and they are not imaginary.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tA common misconception is that these \u201ckeys\u201d are \u201cthe keys to<\/i> the \n\tKingdom of Heaven\u201d instead of being the keys \n\tof<\/span><\/i> <\/span>\n\t<\/b>the Kingdom of Heaven.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThese are not keys that open up doors for us in Heaven.  These are \n\t\u201ckeys\u201d of Heaven\u2019s authority, power and resources put into our hands<\/i>!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThey are put into our hands because we are part of the Kingdom of Heaven.  \n\tWe are a part of The Ekklesia.  We are \u201ccalled and chosen and \n\tfaithful.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tBefore we get too far along in this study, it is important to go back once \n\tagain and look at Jesus\u2019 particular phrasing as He speaks to Peter.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\u201cIt is upon that rock (of which you are a part) that I will build \n\tmy Ekklesia \u2013 my called out and chosen and prepared body of people;<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\u201cAnd the gates of Hell [all the powers and governance of Hell] will \n\tnot ever overpower or prevail in battle against it [my Ekklesia].<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\u201cAnd I will give you the authority and power<\/u>\u2026..\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tDo you see it?<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tHe didn\u2019t say, \u201cI have given you the authority and power\u201d; He said \u201cI will \n\tgive...\u201d meaning that this was a process to unfold over a period following \n\tthe revelation of Jesus Christ in the believer.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tI don\u2019t want to belabor this point, but once again, this is not \u2013 as Simon \n\tBarjona was \u2013 just one who hears (or has heard) the Word.  This is one \n\twho receives the revelation of Jesus Christ from the Father \u2013 and that \n\trevelation can only come in His presence!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tAllow me to pause and point out something here that gets missed in our \n\tpicture of what is taking place as Jesus is speaking to the disciples.  \n\tThis is not something peripheral to what Jesus is saying.  In fact, it \n\tis my conviction that this whole event was orchestrated by Holy Spirit \n\twithout the disciples being aware of what was unfolding before them.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tWe opened up with the description of this event from Matthew 16 where it \n\tdescribes this as happening in the coasts of Caesarea Philippi.  That \n\twon\u2019t mean a lot to most folks unless they understand the significance of \n\tthis.  Caesarea Philippi is situated at the foot of Mount Hermon, which \n\tis the highest peak in Israel (9232 feet above sea level).<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIn the Book of Enoch, we are told that Mount Hermon was the site at which \n\tthe fallen angels \u2014 the Nephilim \u2014 came to Earth, seized the daughters of \n\tAdam and produced offspring \u2014 giants \u2014 who ruled the earth with terror.  \n\tIt was their portal into the Earth and time itself.  These fallen \n\tangels did not realize that this portal was going to also be their opening \n\tinto a prison where they would be held in chains until the end.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIn Jude\u2019s epistle, verse 6, he makes the following statement:<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\tAnd the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their \n\town habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto \n\tthe judgment of the great day.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tI know there are those who may disagree with this, but what I saw when I \n\ttraveled back and forth in time from the Garden to the destruction of the \n\tEarth as it now exists and the creation of \u201cnew heavens and a new earth\u201d was \n\tthat time is nothing more than an envelope.  Time is specifically \n\tdesigned to contain sin and to keep it from populating eternity.  The \n\tfallen angels are, therefore, kept in chains \u2014 in time <\/i><\/b>\u2014 until \n\tthe judgment day.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tFYI, the word, \u201cdarkness\u201d which appears in the KJV, is a translation of the \n\tGreek word, <\/span>\n\tzophos<\/span><\/i><\/b>, which actually better translates \n\tto \u201cclouds of doom.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThe \u201cancient ones\u201d referred to Mount Hermon as \u201cthe gates of Hell\u201d because \n\tof this event.  Consider, then, the fact that this is where Jesus makes \n\tit abundantly clear that \u201cthe gates of Hell will not prevail\u201d against those \n\twho operate with Heaven\u2019s authority.  Add to that the fact that this is \n\tthe very place, later in Jesus\u2019 ministry, where the transfiguration takes \n\tplace and Father God makes it absolutely clear that Jesus IS THE AUTHORITY!!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tLet me add one more perspective for your consideration.  The fallen \n\tangels, the demons, the evil spirits, all of whom are held in metaphorical \n\tchains, captive in time itself, are really powerless against us as \n\tfaith-filled, Word-of-God speaking believers.  We are not contained by \n\ttime!  We are eternity-based!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThe authority we have in Christ Jesus so far supersedes Satan and his \n\tangels, that it almost makes the contrast hilarious!  They are virtual \n\tnothings by comparison!  They do not have the power of creative speech.  \n\tThey were not created in the image of God with His attributes and the power \n\tof creative speech.  They have zero power and zero ability to \n\taccomplish anything UNLESS we give it to them.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tWe have to cease believing that Satan is almost as powerful as God.  We \n\thave to get a grip on the fact that Satan IS SUBJECT TO US!!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThe apostle Paul clearly understood this and emphasized it as he wrote to \n\tthe Ephesians.  He sums up this picture about as clearly as you could \n\tever have it:<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tEphesians 1:15-23<\/span><\/u>: \n\t<\/span><\/b>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>Wherefore I also, after I \n\theard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease \n\tnot to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\t

\n\tThat the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory<\/u>,\n\tmay give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of \n\thim<\/u>:<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\t

\n\tThe eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may \n\tknow what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of \n\this inheritance in the saints<\/span><\/u>, <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And what is<\/i> the \n\texceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the \n\tworking of his mighty power<\/span><\/u>, <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>Which he wrought in Christ, \n\twhen he raised him from the dead, and set him<\/i> at his own right hand \n\tin the heavenly places<\/i>,<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\t

\n\tFar above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, \n\tand every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which \n\tis to come<\/span><\/u>: <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And \n\thath put all things<\/i> under his feet, and gave him to be<\/i> the \n\thead over all things<\/i> to the church<\/span><\/u>, <\/span>\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup>Which is his body, the fulness \n\tof him that filleth all in all<\/span><\/u>.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tNow do you see it?  Are you seeing the pattern of Matthew 16 here?<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tTake another look.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t1.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tThe \u201cFather of Glory\u201d releases the revelation of Jesus Christ through and by \n\tthe Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t2.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tThat revelation first brings us an understanding of Jesus\u2019 calling \u2014 that \n\tHis calling is IN US.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t3.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tThe next part of the revelation is to grasp the full perspective of the \n\twealth (<\/span>ploutos<\/span><\/i>)\n\t<\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tand stupendous glory which are in His inheritance IN US.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t4.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tThe full revelation of Jesus Christ MUST incorporate the unfathomable (<\/span>huperballo<\/span><\/i><\/b>) \n\tgreatness of Father\u2019s power to those of us who believe.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t5.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tAlong with that comes our understanding that this is the same resurrection \n\tpower that raised Christ from the dead!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t6.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tBut the revelation continues.  Now it encompasses the very fact that \n\tJesus has been seated at the right hand of Father.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t7.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tWith that seating and placement in and with the Father comes absolute \n\tauthority over every name, every power, every dominion, every ruler of \n\tdarkness and every effort of Satan \u2014 whether that effort is exercised here \n\ton earth, in the heavenlies, or in Hell (Hades) itself.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t8.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tBut there\u2019s more.  Jesus\u2019 authority and power extend beyond time and \n\tthis world\u2019s realm to the future and to eternity.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t9.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tAll things, all events, all spiritual forces \u2014 angelic or demonic \u2014 have \n\tbeen placed under Jesus\u2019 feet and, by virtue of the fact that we are the \n\tbody of Christ, under our feet; so much so that Father has given us the \n\tresponsibility of working together with Him and through Jesus Christ to \n\tsubdue all things and bring them under His authority.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\t

\n\t10.  <\/span><\/b>\n\t\n\tThe final revelation of Jesus Christ is that we are His body \u2014 that we \n\tcomplete Him.  He is the Head.  All commands come from Him.  \n\tWithout His instruction, we do nothing, but with His instruction and \n\tcommands, there is absolutely nothing impossible to us, and nothing withheld \n\tin any way, shape or form.  We are the body, the arms, the legs, the \n\tfeet of the Lord Jesus Christ!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tWith that revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from the Father, we now \n\tunderstand our position.  We now understand His position!<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThis is the essence of the revelation that Peter received!  Maybe I \n\tshould say that this is where the revelation of Jesus  began in Peter.  \n\tBecause the Day of Pentecost had not yet arrived and Peter was not yet \n\tfilled with the Spirit, much of what He saw would not be understood or \n\trealized until that day.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tPeter saw Jesus first as the Anointed One \u2013 The One in whom the Holy Spirit \n\trested, The One with the empowerment of Heaven dwelling in Him.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tHe saw (though he didn\u2019t fully understand at the time) the greatness and \n\trichness of the anointing of the Anointed One in us and toward us.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tPeter would not yet have the revelation of the power of the resurrection \u2013 \n\tnot until the Day of Pentecost \u2013 but when He had been baptized with the Holy \n\tSpirit, it would so explode in his being that in one day, he would see 3000 \n\tpeople accept and acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Messiah, the Anointed One; \n\tand the One Who had paid the price for their redemption from the curse of \n\tthe Law and the curse of death.  That same anointing that brought the \n\trevelation in Peter of who Jesus really was would flow from his lips as he \n\tpreached Jesus to the multitudes.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThe revelation of Jesus \u2013 as it is made available to us today \u2013 includes the \n\trevelation of the power of the resurrection.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIt is the revelation of being seated with Jesus in Heavenly places.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIt is the revelation that Jesus\u2019 <\/span>\n\tonoma<\/span><\/i><\/b> \n\t\u2013 operating in us and with us as Jesus\u2019 heirs and joint-heirs \u2013 exceeds and \n\tsits above in authority and power every name, every <\/span>\n\tonoma<\/span><\/i><\/b>, \n\tevery character and personality and every being \u2013 whether in earth or in \n\tHeaven or under the earth.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIt is the revelation of power over death, disease and destruction.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIt is the revelation of the purposes of God the Father, God the Son, and God \n\tthe Holy Spirit, made in absolute agreement and harmony with one another \n\tbefore the very first words of Creation were uttered.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIt is the revelation of the Family of God in Heaven and Earth.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIt is the revelation of <\/span>\n\tagape<\/span><\/i><\/b> \u2014 Father\u2019s Love \u2014 a \n\tdimension of love that exceeds the natural understanding of man.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIt is the revelation of the power of Creation.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tIt is the revelation of God\u2019s Glory.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tTHAT, folks, is the authority and power to lock up and unlock Heaven\u2019s \n\tauthority, power and resources as God the Father commands<\/u> here on \n\tearth.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tEphesians 3:14-19<\/span><\/u>: \n\t<\/span><\/b>\n\tFor this cause I bow my knees \n\tunto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>Of whom the whole family in \n\theaven and earth is named, <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>That \n\the would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened \n\twith might by his Spirit in the inner man;<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\t

\n\tThat Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being \n\trooted and grounded in love, <\/span>\n\t <\/span><\/sup>May be able to comprehend with \n\tall saints what is<\/i> the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;\n\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/sup>And to know the love of \n\tChrist, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the \n\tfulness of God.<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\tThe Revelation of Jesus Christ is the release of that  authority and \n\tpower; and that authority and power are \u201cthe keys of the Kingdom of Heaven!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\n\t <\/span><\/p>\n\t
