Spiritual Hierarchy & Authority, Part 18<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

I\u2019ve shared with you on previous\noccasions the fact that the Sound of the Lord comes \u2013 and is represented\nthroughout the Word \u2013 as measurable frequencies with specific objectives.\u00a0 <\/span>The two most dominant frequencies in the Word\nare 444 (which is the frequency of the key of A) and 528 (which is middle C on\nthe piano).\u00a0 <\/span>We see 444 in Scripture\nespecially in the Creation narrative where the phrase occurs, \u201cAnd God said\u2026\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>The mathematical value of that phrase with\nits accompanying statement is generally referred to as 888 \u2013 which denotes the\nfact that Jesus was the One speaking the words of creation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

888, of course, is divisible by two\nand becomes 444.\u00a0 <\/span>This is the frequency\nof creation.\u00a0 <\/span>There is creative authority\nreleased with sound, with worship, with music built on that frequency.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

The frequency of 528 is exhibited in\nZephaniah 3:17, where we read the following:<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is<\/i> mighty; he will\nsave, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy\nover thee with singing.<\/o:p><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The mathematical value of that\nstatement is a multiple of 52.\u00a0 <\/span>528,\ntherefore, is the frequency of love and healing, and we see it demonstrated\nrepeatedly throughout the Word.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

One\nof the keys that seems to be missing in the body of Christ is the real\nunderstanding that there is authority in our voice, authority in the sound that\ncomes forth from us \u2014 creative authority or destructive authority.\u00a0 <\/span>Everything that comes forth from our mouths\nhas authority, for good or for bad.\u00a0\n<\/span>Consider the following statements that Jesus makes:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Matthew 12:36-37<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak,\nthey shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou\nshalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

On\nanother occasion, Jesus is talking about dealing with offenses and the\nmultiplication of authority that takes place when two or more agree.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Matthew 18:15-16<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell\nhim his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast\ngained thy brother. \u00a0<\/span><\/sup>But if he\nwill not hear thee, then<\/i> take with thee one or two more, that in the\nmouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Matthew 18:19-20<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as\ntouching any thing<\/span> that they shall ask, it shall be\ndone for them of my Father which is in heaven. \u00a0<\/span><\/sup>For where two or three are gathered\ntogether in my name, there am I in the midst of them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\ncontinue on today where we left off last week.\u00a0\n<\/span>Few people associate sound with authority, but as we have seen thus far,\nthere is a direct link between sound and authority.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nsound of Jesus' authority, and the sudden silencing of the storm and its sound,\npiqued the curiosity of a man at Gadara -- one who lived in the tombs, and hid\nin the rocks near the seashore.\u00a0 <\/span>Here is\na man in whom a legion (normally counted as 6,600 foot soldiers, and 172\nhorse-drawn chariots) of evil spirits has lived, creating such chaos and\ninsanity as to turn him into an uncontrollable monster with more than\nsufficient strength to break iron and steel chains and shackles. Seeing Jesus arriving\nat the\u00a0 <\/span>seashore with his disciples, he\nbegins to move toward them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Whether\nthese demons had anything to do with the storm at sea, or not, Jesus instantly\nrecognizes them; and before even a word is uttered by the man, Jesus speaks\nwith the same authority which calmed the sea<\/span>.\u00a0 <\/span>"Come out of the man, you unclean\nspirit."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nwe have seen before, the immediate response on the part of the demons is pure\nterror.\u00a0 <\/span>Running towards Jesus, they\nbegin to cry out, <\/span>"What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of The Most High\nGod?\u00a0 <\/span>I implore you by God, do not\ntorment me!"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Here\nis the only recorded instance in which Jesus pauses to have the most brief of\nconversations when he says, <\/span>"What is your name?"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nhead spokesdemon answers, <\/span>"My name is Legion, for we\nare many<\/span>."<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Pleading\nwith Jesus not to send them <\/span>"into the abyss" <\/span>before their time,\nthe spokesdemon asked that they be given permission to enter a herd of swine\nfeeding nearby.\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus gave them leave,\nand they departed into the swine.\u00a0 <\/span>That\nthey were subject to Jesus' word and authority was clearly evident.\u00a0 <\/span>That his sound arrested them was also clearly\nevident.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

One\nof the things that Della and I have learned throughout the years is that the\nLord will initiate His authority and speak through us even when we are caught\noff guard and unprepared for things that happen.\u00a0 <\/span>It is still our voice that is speaking, but\nHoly Spirit is the initiator of that which comes forth, and nothing that comes\nout of our mouths has its origin in our thoughts or natural thinking.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nhave shared, on numerous occasions, the event which took place in the summer of\n1991 when Marcia was killed in Atlin, B.C. in a strange accident.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Walking\non an elevated sidewalk made of 2x10 wooden planks, she stepped on a plank\nwhich was not fastened down.\u00a0 <\/span>It flew up\nand struck her across her face and left temple.\u00a0\n<\/span>As she began to fall, Della saw Marcia\u2019s leg about to be broken as the\nboard fell back into the open slot catching the leg in a pincer-like\naction.\u00a0 <\/span>It was something which the Lord\nhad shown to Della previously in a flash vision.\u00a0 <\/span>In that instant, Della felt the authority of\nthe Lord, and quickly shouted, \u201cNO!\u201d\u00a0\n<\/span>Instead of snapping Marcia\u2019s leg, the board rotated under her foot.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

With\nthe weight of her falling body once again on the plank, it flew up a second\ntime and struck her like a baseball bat directly across the temple.\u00a0 <\/span>Della grabbed Marcia and cushioned her fall,\nholding her as she settled into a semi-sitting position.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Marcia\nwas breathing hard as she said to Della, \u201cDon\u2019t leave me.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Della responded quietly, \u201cI won\u2019t leave\nyou.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m right here.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Then Marcia\u2019s eyes rolled back in her head,\nand she expired with the death rattle coming from her throat.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nthat instant, Della felt as though the Lord simply poured Himself into\nher.\u00a0 <\/span>She saw, visibly, the death angel\ncoming for Marcia.\u00a0 <\/span>With an authority she\nknew could only come from the Lord, she simply uttered the words, \u201cNO, YOU WILL\nNOT!\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

No\nreligious phraseology.\u00a0 <\/span>No repetitious,\n\u201cin Jesus\u2019 Name!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Just the sound of\nauthority \u2013 true authority.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\ndeath angel continued to approach, and Della again spoke, \u201cNO, YOU WILL\nNOT!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Then, with scarcely a pause, she\nshouted, \u201cMARCIA!\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Instantly,\nMarcia\u2019s eyes snapped back, she took a deep breath and sat up, saying, \u201cWhat\nhappened?\u00a0 <\/span>Where am I?\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Della helped her to her feet, and ushered her\nback into the home where we were all visiting.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

During\nthe next forty-five minutes or so, I played my guitar, and we all worshipped\ntogether.\u00a0 <\/span>(One of the worship songs that\nwe sing periodically \u2014 Blessing and Honor [from Revelation 5:13]\u2014 came out of\nthat experience.)\u00a0 <\/span>In that length of\ntime, Marcia completely regained her strength.\u00a0\n<\/span>Following our time of worship, we put on our hiking boots, and Earle,\nMarcia, Della and I went hiking in the mountains.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nmarks left by the blows to her face and temple were pretty severe, but there\nwas no swelling, and the marks vanished within three days, so much so that\nMarcia was able to fulfill a commitment to help out an Anchorage business for a\nweek or so as a receptionist.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nhave referred to this event previously, but consider that which is described in\nExodus 19.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Moses\nhas led the children of Israel out of Egypt.\u00a0\n<\/span>They are instructed to come to the foot of Mount Sinai before they\nproceed any further in their journeys.\u00a0\n<\/span>As they assemble, they are instructed to prepare and cleanse themselves\nin the expectation of receiving the word of the Lord and a clear demonstration\nof His holiness.\u00a0 <\/span>Boundaries are set\nbeyond which they are warned not to pass on pain of death.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Before\nthis demonstration begins, however, the Lord speaks to Moses to convey the\nfollowing to Israel as it assembles,<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Exodus 19:5-6, NAS<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>"Now\nthen, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be\nMy own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and you\nshall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation...."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\nwhich the Lord is now about to do is to send forth the sound of Holiness in the\nearth.\u00a0 <\/span>With it will be the sound of\nabsolute power and authority. \u00a0<\/span>It will be\nthe sound of promise and the notification that He has chosen for Himself a\npeople to become a part of His Bride.\u00a0\n<\/span>Such a sound has never been heard in the earth prior to this time.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

On\nthe third day, as the people are assembled and wait, early in the morning the\nsound of thunder and\u00a0 <\/span>lightning flashes\nresound from the mountain.\u00a0 <\/span>A thick cloud\ncovers the mountain so that the presence of the Lord will not be visible to the\npeople.\u00a0 <\/span>Suddenly, there is the sound of\na loud trumpet, the sounds of many trumpets blowing together\nsimultaneously.\u00a0 <\/span>No human ears have ever\nheard such a sound as those people began to hear at that moment.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nare told (Exodus 19:18) that the Lord descended upon the mountain in fire, <\/span>"and\nits smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked\nviolently.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But\nthe sound of the Lord was only just beginning.\u00a0\n<\/span>The trumpet blasts became louder and louder and louder until Moses knew\nthat he was to speak.\u00a0 <\/span>Added to the\ntrumpet blasts were now added the sound of thunder.\u00a0 <\/span>Even in the midst of this thunder, the Lord\narticulated His desire for Moses to ascend to the top of the mountain to meet\nwith Him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

On\nthis occasion, Moses was given the ten commandments engraved in stone; and the\nengraving took place even as the words were spoken in Moses hearing.\u00a0 <\/span>When summed up, the first three commandments\nwere a picture of the love relationship that God desired with His holy and\nseparated people.\u00a0 <\/span>The last seven dealt\nwith their relationships one with another.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nsound of the Lord -- except for that which was specifically articulated to\nMoses -- was not in the form of\u00a0\n<\/span>intelligible speech, yet it conveyed the onoma of the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>Never before in history had any human beings\nheard such a sound, and never before in history had the Lord so illustrated His\ncalling for a people who would be separated unto Him.\u00a0 <\/span>He communicated with His people and immersed\nthem in His <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span><\/i>in such a manner that they would know that He was<\/b>\nGod -- He was the great I AM<\/b>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Bear\nin mind that Israel had just been released from nearly four hundred years in\nservitude and bondage to the pharaohs of Egypt.\u00a0\n<\/span>They had a slave mentality, and were accustomed to\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>serving taskmasters.\u00a0 <\/span>The Lord had already delivered them from\nEgypt with such a display of the miraculous as to wow the entire world.\u00a0 <\/span>The Red Sea had been parted for them as they\ncrossed on dry land.\u00a0 <\/span>The Red Sea had\nclosed upon the pursuing armies of the Egyptians and swallowed them, and Israel\nwas a free\u00a0 <\/span>nation at last.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\ntrouble was, they had been indoctrinated with the sounds of their\ntaskmasters.\u00a0 <\/span>They had been permeated\nwith the sounds of bondage.\u00a0 <\/span>They had\nbeen filled with the sounds of Egypt and captivity, and the worship of idols\nand false gods.\u00a0 <\/span>Those sounds paled into\ninsignificance with the sound of the Lord, and the Lord uttered his voice, his <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b>, in such a fashion\nthat generation after generation of people would remember.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Whether\nthey ever learned to love Him and serve Him and have an intimate\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>relationship, or not, they would know the\nauthority of His sound.\u00a0 <\/span>There would\nnever be any mistaking the<\/span> onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span>of the Lord for the\nonomas of the past.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So,\nwhere does this take us?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve\nbeen talking about the sound of the Lord in its many variations, the uttering\nof His sound through our voices and the accompanying authority, but let\u2019s look\nat the nature and character of the sound of the Enemy.\u00a0 <\/span>As much as we may understand the sound of the\nLord, a whole lot of God\u2019s people do not understand the character and makeup of\nthe sound of Satan.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

John,\nin the revelation which the Lord gives him, sees a picture of <\/span>"the\nBeast."\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>His description of\nthis beast is filled with metaphors.\u00a0 <\/span>He\ndescribes the beast as having <\/span>"two horns as a lamb, and he\nspoke as a dragon."<\/span>\n<\/span>(Revelation\n13:11)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nword, "spoke," in the Greek text here is not a word which is used to\ndescribe articulate speech.\u00a0 <\/span>Rather it is\nthe word, <\/span>laleo<\/span><\/i><\/b>; and it is distinguished apart from <\/span>lego, <\/span><\/i><\/b>the word normally\ntranslated for <\/span>articulate speech.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>The word, <\/span>laleo, <\/span><\/i><\/b>is used instead <\/span>"to make a sound."<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nchanges John's description to read this way,<\/span>\n<\/span>"and he had two horns like a lamb, and he made the sound of\na dragon." <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Phrasing it in this manner describes\nunequivocally that which is occurring in this generation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Having\n<\/span>"two horns like a lamb" <\/span>is a metaphor for: <\/span>meekness,\nhaving the appearance of a lamb, being innocent and harmless.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Making <\/span>"the\nsound of a dragon,"<\/span> <\/span>however, is the\ntell-tale emanating of his true <\/span>onoma.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b>This "sound" is cloaked in\ninnocence.\u00a0 <\/span>It appears as harmless.\u00a0 <\/span>In truth, it is <\/span>"the\nsound of the serpent;" <\/span>and this is the sound which deceived Adam and Eve in\nthe Garden.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And,\nthis is where we will pick up this discussion next week.<\/a><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\u2019ve shared with you on previous occasions the fact that the Sound of the Lord comes \u2013 and is represented throughout the Word \u2013 as measurable frequencies with specific objectives. The two most dominant frequencies in the Word are 444 (which is the frequency of the key of A) and 528 (which is middle C on the piano).
