Spiritual Hierarchy & Authority, Part 21<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

As we get\nunderway today, let me share just a tiny bit of something I watched unfold in\nperson when the Lord took me back into the Garden.\u00a0 <\/span>I watched the temptation unfold, and I saw\ninto Adam\u2019s thoughts and his spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>I\nalso saw into the thoughts and motives of the Serpent .\u00a0 <\/span>Hopefully, this bit of sharing will be as\nrevelatory for you as it was for me.<\/a><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Because\neverything that God spoke was founded in Truth, there was an absoluteness to\neverything which occurred.\u00a0 <\/span>The very\nfoundations of the Universe rested upon that Truth.\u00a0 <\/span>Truth, therefore, is a part of the invincible\nfoundation of the Throne.\u00a0 <\/span>(We will\nreturn to this, momentarily.)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now,\nconsider again Adam and Eve.\u00a0 <\/span>So long as\nthey dwelled in the place of unity and communion with the Lord, they were\nclothed in Truth.\u00a0 <\/span>What truth?\u00a0 <\/span>The truth that they were created in the image\nof God.\u00a0 <\/span>The truth that they were created\nin His likeness.\u00a0 <\/span>The truth that they\nwere like Him -- i.e., "like God."\u00a0\n<\/span>The truth that in Him was every piece of understanding, every piece of\nwisdom, every piece of revelation they would ever need to exist -- PERIOD.\u00a0 <\/span>END OF PARAGRAPH!\u00a0 <\/span>EXCLAMATION MARK!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There\nwas absolutely nothing<\/b> in the way of knowledge, understanding, or wisdom\nthey would ever need in order to live and function as the supreme rulers of\nthis world outside of Truth<\/b>.\u00a0 <\/span>In\nfact, the Lord warned them that the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil,\nwhich stood in the midst of the Garden near the Tree of Life, was the one tree\nof which they should not eat because it contained a lethal virus which would\nbring death to them <\/span>"in the day you eat thereof."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Return\nwith me to the Garden for a minute to consider the following:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nAdam reaches to take the fruit from his beloved, Eve, to the utter horror and\nsurprise of the serpent.\u00a0 <\/span>He will partake\nof it, and in so doing, redeem her from the separation from him which would\notherwise surely come.\u00a0 <\/span>Though Eve will\nknow death, it will not be the kind of death which would have come had she been\nripped from his fellowship, companionship and protection.\u00a0 <\/span>Adam will gladly take the death to himself,\nand in so doing, prevent the serpent from having her to his exclusive domain.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\ncan see the astonishment on the serpent's visage.\u00a0 <\/span>He had hoped to have the woman for\nhimself.\u00a0 <\/span>They would become one -- or so\nhe had thought -- and he would have his revenge against the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>He would have what the Lord did not have -- a\ncounterpart, an \u201cother self,\u201d a co-equal to fulfill his <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Such\narrogance!\u00a0 <\/span>Such pride!\u00a0 <\/span>This picture of brazenness takes us back to\nwhat we saw in Haman.\u00a0 <\/span>Haman was the\nperfect specimen of Lucifer -- the serpent, Satan -- as he sought to accomplish\nprecisely the same thing with the destruction of Esther and her people, and\ngain the throne by the overthrow of Xerxes (Ahasuerus).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nagain it has come to naught.\u00a0 <\/span>Oh, the\nserpent will have Adam and Eve under his dominion.\u00a0 <\/span>Though they will still be One, they will be\nhis slaves, and he will have prevented the Lord from having His Bride........or\nso he thinks.\u00a0 <\/span>His efforts to have a\nbride for himself will not cease.\u00a0 <\/span>He\nwill change his approach many times in the ages to come.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He\nwill greatly fear the human race, even though they are under his dominion.\u00a0 <\/span>He will seek in every possible way to prevent\nthem from ever seeing the heart and purposes of the Lord to have for Himself a\ncounterpart.\u00a0 <\/span>His approaches will become\nmore and more camouflaged as he strives to gain the heart of a people.\u00a0 <\/span>He will become even more crafty.\u00a0 <\/span>And in the end, it will still come to naught.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Adam's\nact will condemn them both to removal from the Garden, and separation from the\nLord God, and the intimate relationship they have known with Him.\u00a0 <\/span>Outside the Garden and beyond this place,\nthis portal where eternity has ruled, a time clock will begin ticking.\u00a0 <\/span>Adam and Eve will begin to feel -- albeit\nslowly, at first -- the effects of aging.\u00a0\n<\/span>The clock will tick for nine hundred and thirty years for Adam and Eve,\nand they will die, as surely as the Lord had warned them.\u00a0 <\/span>They will die "in the day they ate\nthereof."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Just\nas they were created on the "sixth day," where "a day with the\nLord is as a thousand years," and dwelled with the Lord through the sixth\nand seventh days, they will die before the end of the eighth day, some nine\nhundred thirty years following their departure from the Garden.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nmeasured within the framework of time as we have known time, their lives would\nstretch from their exiting of the Garden to the day when David erected his tabernacle.\u00a0 <\/span>No human beings -- ever -- will dwell on the\nface of the earth for a span of time to equal that of Adam and Eve -- unless it\nbe us........but we will not get into that today!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

An\nextraordinary thing will have happened, however.\u00a0 <\/span>Adam's act of participating with Eve and\neating of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil will have\nthwarted the Serpent's plan.\u00a0 <\/span>He thought\nhe was going to rob Adam of Eve, and in so doing, prevent the Plan of the Lord\nGod from going forth in the earth.\u00a0 <\/span>True,\nthe Serpent did now have Adam and Eve living under his dominion -- so to speak\n-- but the Plan of the Lord God was even more surely established in the earth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Adam\nhas demonstrated the <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span><\/i><\/b>of the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>He chose to die for his beloved Eve rather\nthan allow her to be forever separated from him, and imprisoned to the abuses\nof the serpent, whose true colors became evident as he spoke his lies and\nopposition to the expressed word and warning of the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>He would go down in history as "the\nfirst Adam," having redeemed his bride from destruction, separation, and\nimprisonment.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Yes,\nthey and their descendants born outside the Garden would be subject to the\nwiles, the torments, the treachery of the serpent, who would henceforth be\ncalled, Satan.\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, they would now have\nto "work for a living" by tilling the ground instead of watching it\nsimply spring forth spontaneously as it had in the Garden.\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, they would know disease and sickness,\nlabor and hardship.\u00a0 <\/span>They would see their\ndescendants fight among themselves and kill one another.\u00a0 <\/span>They would live to see such evil come upon\nthe earth as could scarcely be imagined.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

They\nwould see the true effects of eating of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil\nas death reigned in the earth.\u00a0 <\/span>They\nwould know that although they had been given the Tree of Knowledge -- along\nwith the Tree of Life in the Garden -- and the freedom to choose whether to\npartake or to heed the warnings of the Lord God, it was their choices which had\nseparated them from Him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Yet,\nin the midst of it all, hope and a promise would spring forth in their beings,\nfor in the midst of their removal from the Garden of Eden, the Lord had\nspoken.\u00a0 <\/span>As the Serpent was transformed\nfrom a creature of beauty and loveliness into a hated snake who would be\nforever condemned to crawl on his belly in the dust of the earth, trodden over\nand despised of the human race, God had spoken, <\/span>"I will\nput enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; and\nit shall overwhelm and crush your head, and you shall snap at and attempt to\nbruise his heel."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus\nwas there promised to Eve -- and to Adam -- the coming of a descendant who\nwould turn the tables on the serpent -- one who would crush him and destroy his\npower over the human race.\u00a0 <\/span>That One\nwould come in the likeness of Adam, who redeemed his bride from destruction.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Do you see what cost Adam and Eve the\nThrone?\u00a0 <\/span>Do you see beyond the actual\nevents which unfolded to the principle which is revealed by the Lord?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Though\nAdam willingly gave himself for Eve, he nevertheless traded Truth for\n"knowledge."\u00a0 <\/span>Enticed by the\nlure of the "Knowledge of Good and Evil," and forgetting that they\nhad something in their relationship with the Lord far greater than "knowledge"\n-- namely, "revelation" -- Eve succumbed to a lie.\u00a0 <\/span>It is a lie which has been the pervasive\nundercurrent in all of society from that day forth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Consider\nthe events which followed immediately after Adam and Eve partook of that fruit.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Genesis 3:7-11 NASB<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>"And the eyes of\nthem both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig\nleaves together, and made themselves loin coverings.\u00a0 <\/span>And they heard the sound of the Lord God\nwalking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid\nthemselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the\ngarden.\u00a0 <\/span>Then the Lord God called to the\nman, and said to him, 'Where are you?'\u00a0\n<\/span>And he said, 'I heard the sound of Thee in the garden, and I was afraid\nbecause I was naked; so I hid myself.'\u00a0\n<\/span>And He said, 'Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the\ntree of which I commanded you not to eat?'"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

How\ncome after all these years of walking with the Lord and enjoying the intimacy\nof their fellowship and union with Him, they just now discovered that they were\nnaked?\u00a0 <\/span>Hmmmm.......\u00a0 <\/span>Would you believe that they weren't naked\nbefore?\u00a0 <\/span>Oh yes, Genesis 2:25 says, <\/span>"And\nthe man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed," <\/span>but the word used\nin this instance in the Hebrew text is:<\/span> <\/span>arom<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span><\/i>(pronounced, aw-rohm).<\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nmeans: to be nude (in the physical sense), to be without clothing or garments\nof cloth.\u00a0 <\/span>It is a different word,\nhowever, which occurs in Genesis 3:7-11.\u00a0\n<\/span>In this instance, the word in the Hebrew text is: <\/span>erom<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span><\/b>(pronounced,\ney-rome).\u00a0 <\/span>While it has the same root as\nthe previous word, its application differs in that it is used primarily in the\ncase of having been stripped; having one's covering removed.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nsignificance of this is seen in the fact that not once during the period of all\nthose years in fellowship with the Lord did they ever see themselves as\nnaked.\u00a0 <\/span>True, they had no clothes on, but\nthey were not naked.\u00a0 <\/span>They were clothed\nin Truth!\u00a0 <\/span>They were clothed in\nRighteousness.\u00a0 <\/span>They were clothed in the\nglory of the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>And they enjoyed a\nrelationship of love with Jesus, their Creator.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nin that<\/i> <\/b>place of being clothed, they ruled!\u00a0 <\/span>They functioned in unquestioned authority.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

A\nfunny thing happened when they ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and\nEvil.\u00a0 <\/span>They were stripped.\u00a0 <\/span>And of course, we know they had no clothes to\nbe removed.\u00a0 <\/span>But they were stripped,\nnonetheless.\u00a0 <\/span>They were stripped of\nTruth.\u00a0 <\/span>They were stripped of\nRighteousness.\u00a0 <\/span>They were stripped of the\nglory of the Lord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\u2019s\nmore, they were stripped of the authority they once held over the Serpent,\nSatan.\u00a0 <\/span>And their intimate relationship\nwith the Lord was history.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now,\nthey were<\/i> <\/b>naked!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Interesting,\nisn't it?\u00a0 <\/span>Now Adam and Eve had the very\nthing the sages of this world strive for.\u00a0\n<\/span>Now they possessed that quantifiable knowledge men and women the world\nover seek for in their colleges, universities and seminaries -- ever\nlearning and never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth!<\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Adam\nand Eve had given up Truth in exchange for knowledge.\u00a0 <\/span>When they got that knowledge, it robbed them\nof the throne.\u00a0 <\/span>It stole their\ncrown.\u00a0 <\/span>It exchanged the Truth for a lie.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nit left them naked!\u00a0 <\/span>It left them\ndefenseless against that old Serpent, Satan, who took them into slavery and\nbondage.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Had\nthey been naked all that time?\u00a0 <\/span>Not in\nGod's eyes.\u00a0 <\/span>Who cares whether knowledge\nsees you that way?\u00a0 <\/span>Knowledge --\nregardless of how factual it may be -- perpetrates a lie.\u00a0 <\/span>Knowledge robs men and women of relationship.\u00a0 <\/span>Knowledge steals love and intimacy.\u00a0 <\/span>Knowledge deprives God's people of love, of\npower, and of a sound mind.\u00a0 <\/span>Knowledge\nbrings Fear.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nthis case, Adam and Eve were infected with the Fear of Evil, and they reacted\nto it instantly.\u00a0 <\/span>They did what every\nrational(?), reasoning member of the human race has done from that day to this\nwhen faced with Evil (or whatever is perceived as Evil): they ran and hid\nthemselves.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Why\nhad they not run and hid before?\u00a0 <\/span>Had the\nnatural circumstances changed?\u00a0 <\/span>No!\u00a0 <\/span>But they had.\u00a0\n<\/span>They had traded revelation for knowledge.\u00a0 <\/span>They had been tricked into exchanging the\nLife of Truth for the death and lie of knowledge.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nthey learned -- the hard way -- that Truth, a loving relationship with the\nLord, the Throne, the Crown, and the glory of the Lord were all inextricably,\ninseparably woven together.\u00a0 <\/span>Without\nTruth, there was no throne of God.\u00a0\n<\/span>Without relationship and love, there was no crown for them.\u00a0 <\/span>Knowledge did not <\/b>make them "as\nGod!"\u00a0 <\/span>It turned them into slaves\nheld captive in cruel bondage to the great pretender, the father of all lies,\nwho wanted the throne for himself.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nit seems like I\u2019m being somewhat repetitious and redundant in the coverage of\nthis revelation, bear with me.\u00a0 <\/span>As you\nwell know, repetition is intrinsic to retaining knowledge, and the territory we\nare covering bears more on a revelation of who and what Jesus Christ is in us,\nand the essential character and makeup of the authority and dominion He has\nimbued in us and with us.\u00a0 <\/span>If we are\nwalking in Truth, His dominion and authority are the natural byproduct of our entire\nexistence.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019re\njust getting started with this aspect of authority.\u00a0 <\/span>I still have a lot of ground to cover here,\nso let\u2019s pause for today and we\u2019ll take the next step in this study next week.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
