Resurrection From the Dead, Part 17<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

October 19, 2018<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

This series has stretched out longer\nthan I would have expected, and yet there is probably a lot more revelation\nthat we could explore.\u00a0 <\/span>My expectation is\nthat Holy Spirit will continue to unveil the truth of this revelation to all of\nyou, and that the mindset of death will be canceled within you.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\u2019s\nthe first thing that Satan did when Jesus \u2014 after fasting for 40 days \u2014 was at\nhis weakest, physically and emotionally? Right.\u00a0\n<\/span>He questioned Jesus repeatedly as to His status as THE Son of God,\nattempting to trick Him into yielding to the desires of His flesh.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Were\nJesus to have yielded to even one of these temptations, He would have forfeited\nHis Sonship status and condemned the human race to perpetuity in slavery and\nbondage to Satan and the curse.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Satan\nwould have had the upper hand.\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus\ncould not yield.\u00a0 <\/span>He must not!\u00a0 <\/span>And He would not \u2014 not under any\ncircumstances.\u00a0 <\/span>His baptism had already\ndemonstrated to Satan that the \u201cman\u201d Jesus \u2014 the natural man, Jesus \u2014 was\ndead.\u00a0 <\/span>The risen Jesus was the Son of\nGod.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nis exactly what happens with us.\u00a0 <\/span>Now do\nyou understand why Jesus said, \u201cExcept you eat my flesh and drink my blood, no\nhave no life in you\u201d?\u00a0 <\/span>Now do you\nunderstand why water baptism plays such an important role in the life of every\nbeliever?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

John\n3:47-51<\/b><\/span><\/u>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on\nme hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. \u00a0<\/span><\/sup>Your fathers did eat manna in the\nwilderness, and are dead.\u00a0 <\/span>This is the bread\nwhich cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.\u00a0 <\/span>I am the living bread which came down from\nheaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that\nI will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus\u2019\nstatement was predicated on the fact that His flesh was resurrected flesh.\u00a0 <\/span>He knew that he was about to be killed, but\nHe also knew that they couldn\u2019t keep him dead.\u00a0\n<\/span>He was going to rise from the dead.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus\nwas getting ready to keep our appointment with death.\u00a0 <\/span>Because life \u2014 zoe\nlife <\/span><\/i><\/b>\u2014 was in Him already, He could, with absolute authority\nsay, <\/span>\u201cI am the living bread which came down\nfrom heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For\nthose of us as believers, when we obey Jesus\u2019 command to be water-baptized, we\nshow to Satan and to all his minions that we likewise have transferred our\ncitizenship from that of this world to Heaven \u2014 to the Kingdom of God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But\nthe Table of the Lord doesn\u2019t leave our feast at simply eating of Jesus\u2019\nflesh.\u00a0 <\/span>We must also drink His Cup.\u00a0 <\/span>Why?\u00a0\n<\/span>Take a look at a couple of statements that David makes.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 16:5<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>The LORD is<\/i><\/span><\/u> the\nportion of mine inheritance and of my cup<\/u>: thou maintainest my lot.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 23:5<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou\nanointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over<\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 116:13<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>I will take the cup of salvation<\/span><\/u>, and call upon the name of the LORD.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nCup represents the very life-force of God Himself.\u00a0 <\/span>It is the life-force of the Father and the\nSon, and the Holy Spirit is the moving force, the energizer of that life-force\nin us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nCup is the cup of life itself.\u00a0 <\/span>For Jesus\nto instruct us to drink His blood \u2014 or to drink His Cup \u2014 was to drink of the\nenergizing force that filled Him after the Holy Spirit manifested on and in\nHim.\u00a0 <\/span>(The Greek\nword, <\/span>erchomai<\/span><\/i>, <\/span><\/b>is used in Matthew\u2019s\ntext, and it literally means to appear from within, to manifest, to accompany,\nto appear, to enter<\/span>).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus,\nJesus was both baptized in water AND in\/with the Holy Spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>It mattered not \u2014 in the final analysis \u2014\nthat Jesus was going to be crucified; death couldn\u2019t hang onto Him.\u00a0 <\/span>He had drank of the Cup of the Spirit.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nJesus died on the Cross and blood and water issued from His side, there was no\nneed for blood in His being any longer once He was raised from the dead.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>When He appeared to the disciples after His\nresurrection, He said to them, <\/span>\u201cBehold\nmy hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit\nhath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.\u201d<\/span> <\/span>(see\nLuke 24:39)<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

He\ndidn\u2019t refer to Himself as \u201cflesh and blood.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/span>The blood had been shed.\u00a0 <\/span>The\nappointment with death had been kept by the shedding of His blood.\u00a0 <\/span>Death was canceled.\u00a0 <\/span>Now the Spirit of Life \u2014 everlasting \u2014 would\nmake us free from the Law of Sin and Death.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\nme digress for a minute to show you something.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There\nis are several rather fascinating scientific "white papers" which\ntouch on the subject of blood. These "white papers" propose that\nblood is nothing more than congealed light.\u00a0\n<\/span>That's a rather bold concept and treatise, but for blood to be congealed\nlight would mean that the light had slowed down rather dramatically.\u00a0 <\/span>(That's a scientific discussion I don't want\nto get into today, but one that we may come back to some other time.)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\nme quote briefly from one discussion in the realm of quantum physics -- an area\nwe've already touched on briefly when we talked about the aspect of faith in a\nseries a few years ago.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"In [DeBroglie's]\nresearch, he observed that sub-atomic particles also displayed wave-like\nproperties.\u00a0 <\/span>Particles such as the\nelectron and proton also had wavelengths.\u00a0\n<\/span>In other words, inside the atom \u2013 which earlier science described as\nabsolute matter \u2013 there were non-material energy waves, contrary to materialist\nbelief.\u00a0 <\/span>Just like light, these minute\nparticles inside the atom behaved like waves at times, and exhibited the\nproperties of particles at others.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"Contrary to expectations, the\nabsolute matter in the atom could be detected at certain times, but disappeared\nat others.\u00a0 <\/span>This major discovery showed\nthat what we imagine to be the real world were in fact shadows.\u00a0 <\/span>Matter had completely departed from the realm\nof physics and was headed in the direction of quantum mechanics.<\/span>"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

To\nsum up these conclusions, when you get to the core\nmakeup of everything, there is light!\u00a0\n<\/span>Science can demonstrate that all matter is nothing more than congealed\nlight!<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Consider this: light isn\u2019t like the light you see from the sun or\na lamp, but waves of energy.\u00a0 <\/span>At the\nsubatomic level, everything is energy waves \u2013 light.\u00a0 <\/span>Recent discoveries have revealed that cells\ncommunicate with one another via light called biophotons.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You see where I'm going with this, don't you? You'll remember\nthat Della and I have talked about our physicist friend, Dr. Joseph\nO'Neil.\u00a0 <\/span>This is the man who discovered\nthat he could convert the makeup of blood into sound and thereby determine a\nperson's medical history and likely life-span based on the music produced when\nscanning the blood.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Since sound and light are all part of the same energy spectrum,\nit takes no great rocket science to figure out that if sound can be derived\nfrom blood, light is there as well.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What's the point of all of this?\u00a0\n<\/span>Consider again what we read in Genesis 2:23<\/u>: <\/span>"<\/span>And\nAdam said, This is<\/i> now bone of\nmy bones, and flesh of my flesh<\/u>: she shall be called Woman, because she was\ntaken out of Man."<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Juxtapose\nthat statement against Jesus' Word to the Disciples: <\/span>\u201cBehold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:\nhandle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nyou realize that we have no mention of blood at all in the Word prior to Adam\nand Eve eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and we first see\nblood as producing sound (Genesis 4:10) when Abel's blood "cries" out\nto the Lord, it provides us with the very unique perspective that Adam and Eve\nactually had light flowing in their veins prior to the introduction of sin and\nthe contamination of their DNA.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nindeed blood is slowed-down and congealed light, it gives us a unique\nrevelation of what Jesus did for us at the Cross, and why He gave us His Table\nas a picture of the restoration of our return to timeless existence in and\nthrough Him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nCoffee Breaks published throughout past years, I've shared a tiny portion of my\nown set of experiences which took place back in 1996 when I transported in the\nrealm of the Spirit outside of time, into eternity, and back and forth into\nvarious points in time going back to the Garden of Eden, into the future to see\nthings during the thousand years of peace, and even seeing the "New\nHeavens and the New Earth" as John describes in Revelation when <\/span>"time\nshould be no more."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

One\nof the things which became very clear to me was that until Adam and Eve sinned\nby eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, time -- at least in\nthe way that we know it -- was not measured.\u00a0\n<\/span>There is pretty clear evidence in the Word for this.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

<\/a>Consider what Peter had to say about it in\nhis second general letter to the body of Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

II Peter 3:5-8:<\/span><\/u><\/b> <\/span>"For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by\nthe word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the\nwater and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with\nwater, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word\nare kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition\nof ungodly men.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of\nthis one thing, that one day is<\/i> with the Lord as a thousand years, and a\nthousand years as one day."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Get\nit?\u00a0 <\/span>He says, <\/span>"by the word of God the heavens were of old, and\nthe earth standing out of the water and in the water."<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nHe spoke, creation was old and aged by hundreds of thousands and millions of\nyears (according to the way that science likes to measure things), but the age\nand all of the "periods of time" that geologists like to assign to\nthe earth occurred instantly when the Word came forth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

OK,\nnow!\u00a0 <\/span>Don't go throwing rocks at me!\u00a0 <\/span>I didn't say that: Peter wrote that under the\ninspiration of Holy Spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>God spoke\nthe Word.\u00a0 <\/span>Age existed at the moment He\nspoke.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Sorry!\u00a0 <\/span>I'm getting off on a rabbit trail here.\u00a0 <\/span>What I saw in the adventures experienced in\nthose travels was that time was created specifically as an envelope or a\ncontainer to hold death, sin, the curse and Satan.\u00a0 <\/span>Here's how John describes it:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Revelation 10:5-6:<\/span><\/u><\/b> <\/span>"And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and\nupon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth\nforever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the\nearth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are\ntherein, that there should be time no longer<\/u>."<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So\nwhat are we getting at here?\u00a0 <\/span>Follow this\nsequence:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\n(1) light was slowed in order to create this envelope we know as time, and (2)\nlight was what Adam and Eve initially had flowing in their veins, and (3)\nsin\/time caused such a slowdown in the flow of the light in their veins that it\ncaused that light to congeal into what we now know as blood, then we can easily\nconclude that the blood that Jesus shed for us -- both when he bore the stripes\nfor our healing, as well as when he hung on the Cross -- was a demonstration of\nwhat we have in Him!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus,\nwe are changed from mortal to immortal beings!\u00a0\n<\/span>The covenant is in force!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
