David\u2019s Tabernacle Restored, Part 6<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

The prophecy to the\nEkklesia in Philadelphia is one of the most germane prophecies in the Word\nconcerning the Tabernacle of David.\u00a0 <\/span>What\nwe see in this prophecy is the actual fulfillment of the heart\u2019s desire of the\nLord for those who have overcome the Enemy, his tricks, his machinations, the\nvarious evil spirits by which he seeks to destroy them \u2013 and in reality,\ndestroy God\u2019s objective to have a family like Him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

These overcomers (and\nthat\u2019s what Jesus is coming for \u2013 NOT a church, but a body of prople<\/span> who have overcome the flesh, the devil, and every\nconceivable circumstance that could interfere with their relationship with the\nLord) are those who have overcome each of the three families of Fear, all\nefforts to compromise their walk with God, the spirit of Jezebel, the spirit of\nBalaam, as well as all inclinations to let down their guard and become\ncomplacent in who they are and where they stand with God!<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

OK!\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s finish the promise and prophecy from\nthe letter to Philadelphia.\u00a0 <\/span>This\nrepresents the crown of the overcomer \u2014 that crown that is given and\nestablished in the midst of praise and worship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

They who overcome [the temptation to water down or contaminate\ntrue praise and worship] will I cause to become a support in the (living)\ntemple of my God; they will never again leave that place:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I will engrave upon and within them the very character, makeup,\npersonality, authority, power and very essence of my God, as well as the\ncharacter, makeup, personality, authority, power and very essence of city of my\nGod, which is New Jerusalem, that Bride which descends out of Heaven from my\nGod:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And I will engrave upon and within them my newly generated and\nchanged character, makeup, personality, authority, power and very essence<\/span>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(Revelation 3:12, RAC Translation and\nAmplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\na promise!\u00a0 <\/span>What a prophecy!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For\nmany folks, this last part is something of a conundrum.\u00a0 <\/span>Why on earth would Jesus have a newly\ngenerated and changed character, makeup, personality, authority, power and very\nessence?<\/o:p><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nKJV translates the Greek word, <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b>, as \u201cname,\u201d with\nthe picture of Jesus getting a \u201cnew name.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/span>He is still Jesus!\u00a0 <\/span>That never\nchanges.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nhappens is that Jesus now \u2014 finally! \u2014 becomes a completed being with His\ncounterpart, His other self, His Bride.\u00a0\n<\/span>Some of you have heard me share this story before, but when Della and I\ngot married, for each of us individually as well as together, great change took\nplace.\u00a0 <\/span>Our character and personality\nchanged.\u00a0 <\/span>There was a settling in\nus.\u00a0 <\/span>The \u201csearch\u201d that goes on in the\nheart and soul of every person for that one who will complete them came to an\nend in us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve\nlaughed about the changes that took place in Della where she used to be so\nquiet, withdrawn and meek.\u00a0 <\/span>My television\nand radio broadcast friends jokingly referred to her as \u201cMouse Knuckles.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Anyone who knows Della today knows that is\nabout as far from the truth as anything can be!\u00a0\n<\/span>Today, she is bold, outspoken, confident and thoroughly possessed by the\npower and presence of the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>Her\nsuccesses in the world of jewelry are almost legendary.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Friends\nhave told me that before Della and I were married I was strident, hard,\narrogant at times and very prone to making stupid decisions.\u00a0 <\/span>Dwain McKenzie, who has known me since I was\nin my mid-teens, came to visit Della and me some 15 years ago or so when we\nlived in south Texas in the Rio Grande Valley.\u00a0\n<\/span>He wasn\u2019t there long when he commented, \u201cBrother, have you ever changed!\u00a0 <\/span>You are a totally different person.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

No\njoke!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That,\nmy friends, is what happens when you become complete.\u00a0 <\/span>There is nothing in me that goes looking for\nsomeone else.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m not \u201con the hunt\u201d for\na different woman or wife.\u00a0 <\/span>Della has\ncompletely and totally completed and fulfilled everything that was missing in\nmy character and makeup.\u00a0 <\/span>By the same\ntoken, Della is not out looking for some other guy.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Where\nI am weak, Della is strong.\u00a0 <\/span>Where she is\nweak, I am strong.\u00a0 <\/span>We balance each\nother.\u00a0 <\/span>The Lord gave us to one another.\u00a0 <\/span>Everyone who knows us knows that we work\ntogether as a team, no matter what we are doing, and no matter what task has\nbeen set before us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now,\nlet\u2019s extrapolate that picture to the \u201cnew name\u201d \u2014 <\/span>newly\ngenerated and changed character, makeup, personality, authority, power and very\nessence <\/span>of\nJesus.\u00a0 <\/span>We never think of Him as being\nincomplete.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Consider\nwhat He went through to win a Bride, a Counterpart, an Other Self.\u00a0 <\/span>What Jesus went through, He went through\nalone.\u00a0 <\/span>Despite the fact that He had 12\ndisciples who had walked with Him for roughly three and a half years, when it\ncame time for Him to face trial, torture and ultimately, the cross, his three\nclosest disciples went to sleep on Him.\u00a0\n<\/span>His question to them was, \u201cYou mean you couldn\u2019t even pray with me for\none hour?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Granted\nall that changed on the Day of Pentecost, but that was AFTER Jesus had become\nthe Lamb, slain from before the foundations of the earth.\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus well knew when He began His ministry\nwhat the goal was: to cancel out the curse that had become a part of the DNA of\nthe human race \u2014 the curse that separated and placed a barrier between He and\nthe people He had originally created to become One with Him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What\nJesus had to go through, however, in order to win a people for Himself \u2014 a\npeople who would become His Counterpart \u2014 meant that this same people would\nlikewise have to be overcomers.\u00a0 <\/span>They\nwouldn\u2019t have to necessarily suffer crucifixion, but they would have to\novercome all those things that had become obstacles to real, genuine\nrelationship with Him.\u00a0 <\/span>Since the\nobjective of this series of sharing is understanding the Tabernacle of David\nand its significance, we don\u2019t need to go back through the seven letters in\nRevelation 2 and 3.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\npoint I\u2019ve been trying to make here is that when we\u2019ve come to that place of\nrulership in Praise and Worship, prior to this, we\u2019ve had to overcome all of\nthe issues described in the previous five letters.\u00a0 <\/span>We have a place of authority and power in\nPraise and Worship that is unmatched in any other area of overcoming.\u00a0 <\/span>This is as much a place of overcoming as any\nof the others.\u00a0 <\/span>The warning to <\/span>\u201cLet\nno man take your crown\u201d<\/span>\nis indicative of the fact that it can be taken away.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

David\nnever lost his crown.\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus came to\nEarth as \u201cthe son of David.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>It was part\nof the promise made to Him.\u00a0 <\/span>That same\npromise applies to us.\u00a0 <\/span>As long as we do\nnot succumb to the temptation to water down our praise and worship, as long as\nwe do not turn it into entertainment, as long as our continued focus in praise\nand worship is the pursuit of the presence of the Lord and ministry TO Him, we\nwill not yield our crown or allow it to be taken away from us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There\nis no substitute for the intimate presence of the Lord \u2014 not for us, and not\nfor Him!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s\nmove on.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Acts 13:22-23<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be\ntheir king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son<\/i>\nof Jesse, a man <\/u><\/span>after<\/span><\/u>\n<\/span><\/u>mine own heart<\/span><\/u>, which shall fulfil\nall my <\/span><\/u>will<\/span><\/u>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>Of\nthis man\u2019s seed hath God according to his<\/i> promise raised unto Israel a\nSaviour, Jesus:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We quoted this verse earlier, but let me take a\nsecond look at the significance of this Word.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

And when God had removed Saul from being King, he brought forth\nfrom obscurity, David, to become the King over His people, Israel, of whom He\naffirmed and provided revelation of when He said, \u201cI have perceived and\nobtained David, the mature son of Jesse, a man who intensely yearns to know and\ncompletely please my heart\u2019s desire; and he will purpose to execute and fulfil\nall my heart\u2019s desire, determination and pleasure. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(Acts 13:22-23, RAC Translation and\nAmplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now,\nconsider exactly what the Lord meant when David wrote in Psalm 90:11.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nKJV renders this from the Hebrew like this:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm\n90:11: <\/span>Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy\nfear, so is thy wrath.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\ntranslation really obscures the truth of what David writes.\u00a0 <\/span>It really needs to read like this:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Who knows and has revelation of the power or insight of your\ndesire for intimacy? Even according to your desire for instruction <\/span>and learning, for reverence and\nrespect, thus enabling us to create and fulfil his purpose and plans for our\nlives.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(Psalm 90:11, RAC Translation &\nAmplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Get\nit?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

David\nsaw the intensity of God\u2019s desire for intimacy.\u00a0\n<\/span>He literally saw the heart of the Lord.\u00a0\n<\/span>That\u2019s why the concept of the Tabernacle he erected was so critical to\nhim.\u00a0 <\/span>It consumed him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

David\nsaw and heard the music of Heaven.\u00a0 <\/span>He\nheard sounds that no instruments currently in use could reproduce.\u00a0 <\/span>Hence, we read the following:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I Chronicles 23:5<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Moreover four\nthousand were<\/i> porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the\ninstruments which I made, said David<\/i>, to praise therewith<\/i>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 33:2-3<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Praise the LORD with\nharp: sing unto him with the psaltery and<\/i> an instrument of ten strings.\nSing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 71:22<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>I will also praise\nthee with the psaltery, even<\/i> thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing\nwith the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 81:2-3<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Take a psalm, and\nbring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on\nour solemn feast day.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 144:9:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b>I\nwill sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and<\/i> an instrument\nof ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 150: 3-5<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Praise him\nwith the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed\ninstruments and organs.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high\nsounding cymbals.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

II Chronicles 5:13-14<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>It\ncame even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were<\/i> as one, to make\none sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted\nup their<\/i> voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music,\nand praised the LORD, saying<\/i>, For he is<\/i> good; for his mercy endureth<\/i>\nfor ever: that then<\/i> the house was filled with a cloud, even<\/i> the\nhouse of the LORD; <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>So\nthat the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the\nglory of the LORD had filled the house of God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

II Chronicles 7:6<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>And the\npriests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of music of\nthe LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth<\/i><\/span> for ever, when David praised by their\nministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\u2019s\na lot of different Scriptures, but you get the picture.\u00a0 <\/span>David had a grasp of the sounds of Heaven \u2014\nthe sounds that pleased the heart of the Lord.\u00a0\n<\/span>His objective was to duplicate \u2014 as much as humanly possible \u2014 the\nsounds of the instruments he heard coming out of Heaven.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\nrealize, of course, that the psaltery is the predecessor to the guitar and many\nsimilar stringed instruments.\u00a0 <\/span>The organ\nreferred to in these verses was predecessor to the modern organs, but it was\nalso the predecessor to all kinds of reed instruments.\u00a0 <\/span>The trumpet referred to is both the shofar\n(ram\u2019s horn) as well as the brass horns developed to produce that kind of\nsound.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nthis revelation begins to really unveil itself in your spirit, you begin to\nunderstand why Satan\u2019s purpose has been to contaminate music in every possible\nway.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nwas in the 1950\u2019s that the then-head of Columbia Records decided that the\nnormal harmonies and rhythms of the day were too blas\u00e9.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He\nsent a group of musicians into Africa to study the rhythms, the chants and the\nsounds that represented music to their cultures.\u00a0 <\/span>From that effort came what we know today as\n\u201cRock and Roll.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Music took a decidedly\ndownward turn thereafter, degenerating into acid rock, rap, and pure\nnoise.\u00a0 <\/span>That same sound began to\ncontaminate praise and worship within the body of Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nknow some folks will really take issue with my comments here and think I\u2019ve\nreally gone off the rails, but much of what we hear today in the modern church\nis a far cry from the spirit of worship and intimacy that God is after.\u00a0 <\/span>It isn\u2019t the beat.\u00a0 <\/span>It isn\u2019t the rhythm.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u00a0\n<\/span>isn\u2019t even the loudness of the music.\u00a0\n<\/span>It is the fact that it has degenerated into entertainment.\u00a0 <\/span>It has become a series of sounds that provoke\nthe senses instead of one\u2019s spirit.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nis getting me into trouble, I know, but hear me out before you think I\u2019ve\nreally gone over the edge.\u00a0 <\/span>In fact, I\nthink I\u2019ll leave it here, and return to this next week.<\/a><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
