\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Well, I warned you last week that we needed to run down a\nreligious rabbit trail, and that we needed to blow that rabbit trail\napart.\u00a0 <\/span>You see, the problem is that\nthroughout the centuries, God\u2019s people have been caught up in traditions that\nbegan with their ancestors \u2013 traditions that began before their ancestors had\nthe kind of revelation that Holy Spirit is pouring out on His people\ntoday.\u00a0 <\/span>We need to break those traditions\nand get out of the religious boxes that we\u2019ve all suffered with for\ngenerations.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Again, I\u2019m not trying to be deliberately controversial.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s just a fact that when you deviate from\nwhat folks treat as \u201cnormal\u201d doctrine, if there isn\u2019t a place in them to\nreceive greater understanding, they tend to become offended.\u00a0 <\/span>Can\u2019t help that.\u00a0 <\/span>Don\u2019t mean to offend \u2013 just enlighten \u2013 or as\nthe apostle Paul wrote, <\/span><\/b>\u201cYet I\nshow unto you a more excellent way.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

The\nunion that God honors as approved by Him may not necessarily be a contract on a\npiece of paper, nor the ruling made before a justice of the peace.\u00a0 <\/span>There are many so-called \u201cmarriages\u201d that God\nneither honors nor recognizes.\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus\nidentifies the real key to understanding this in both Matthew 19:6 and Mark 10.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Mark 10:9<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>What, therefore, God\nhath joined together, let not man put asunder.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nreligious world has attempted to apply this statement to all marriages.\u00a0 <\/span>Not so!\u00a0\n<\/span>That\u2019s why the divorce rate has almost reached 50% among Christians.\u00a0 <\/span>They simply don\u2019t understand what God is after\nin the union of a man and a woman.\u00a0 <\/span>HE is\nthe ONE Who brings together those whom He has chosen.\u00a0 <\/span>HE is the ONE Who does the joining.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Marriage\nis supposed to be the picture of our relationship with Him.\u00a0 <\/span>Marriage is NOT\nsupposed to be a legally convenient way for two people who are drawn to each\nother for reasons other than the Lord bringing them together so they can have\nsex and create families that grow up without any concept of the covenant of\nmarriage.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Let\nme be clear.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m speaking this by permission\nfrom the Lord \u2014 NOT because I\u2019m trying to drive a wedge in some family or\nfamilies, nor so that some folks can use these statements as an excuse for\ngetting a divorce.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

So\nwhere are we going with this?\u00a0 <\/span>Simple.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Favor\nis what God has sought for in a people \u2014 a Bride, if you will \u2014 who will\nsurround Him and the Throne with pure worship, with pure love, with the\ncreative sound, the defensive sound that is an integral part of worship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Worship\nis more than just \u201clove\u201d as we think of it.\u00a0\n<\/span>It is <\/span>agape.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b>It is all the power\nand the authority of God invested in that sound that goes forth.\u00a0 <\/span>It is a sound of healing.\u00a0 <\/span>It is the sound of strength.\u00a0 <\/span>It is, as we\u2019ve said before, the same\ncreative sound that went forth when Creation came into being.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\ndifficulty in the modern church world is that they haven\u2019t grasped that\nyet.\u00a0 <\/span>Worship is just a different kind of\nmusic. It\u2019s something we do on Sunday morning, or on Wednesday night, or\nwhatever other night of the week we gather.\u00a0\n<\/span>It\u2019s the singing that precedes the teaching or preaching.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

NO\nIT IS NOT!!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Worship\nis designed to be the transference of the presence of the Lord into our midst,\nand into the surrounding areas.\u00a0 <\/span>It is us\nloving and ministering to the Lord Jesus Christ while, at the same time, He\nministers through us to others.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Are\nyou seeing the drastic difference between what we have so cavalierly called\n\u201cworship\u201d and that which surrounds the Throne?\u00a0\n<\/span>Good!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nwe as a people are going to move into this realm and begin to function as true\nworshipers, worshiping from the Throne of God and the Lamb, our mindsets have\nto change completely.\u00a0 <\/span>We have to have a\nSpirit of Revelation and Understanding of Who Jesus is!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Jesus\nwas talking to the woman of Samaria at the well.\u00a0 <\/span>Contrast what He said to her with that which\ndrove and compelled David to establish his Tabernacle:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You worship, you prostrate yourselves, you reverence someone or\nsomething of whom you have no revelation or knowledge; we know and have\nrevelation of He whom we worship because deliverance, health, safety and\nprosperity belong to Judah (the place and foundation of praise).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You see, the hour, the very instant has come \u2014 NOW \u2014when those\nwho have revelation of what is true worship (in contrast to that which is\nimaginary, simulated and pretended) can and will worship the Father in the\nrealm and dimension of the Spirit without concealment, in the integrity of\ntheir beings because that is exactly what the Father has sought after and\nlooked for (from the beginning of time) to worship Him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

God is a Spirit (He lives and operates from that domain); thus,\nthose who worship Him must function and operate in that same realm of\nrevelatory worship without compromise, simulation or pretense.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(John 4:22-24, RAC Translation and\nAmplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

David\nhad that revelation.\u00a0 <\/span>He KNEW what it\nmeant to worship the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>He KNEW the\npresence of the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>He KNEW what\npleased God.\u00a0 <\/span>And, by virtue of what\nDavid experienced, he KNEW what that kind of worship would produce \u2014 not only\nin him, but also in the land.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nTabernacle of David was a revelation of the presence of the Lord to\nIsrael.\u00a0 <\/span>It was a revelation of the\ncovenant that God had made with them.\u00a0 <\/span>It\nwas a revelation of God\u2019s plan from before the foundations of this earth and\ntime itself.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\u2019ve\nlooked at this picture of the Bride.\u00a0 <\/span>Now\nlet\u2019s take a look at a picture of the Bridegroom.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nHebrew word for Bridegroom is <\/span>chathan<\/span><\/i><\/b>, whereas the word\nfor Bride is <\/span>kallah<\/span><\/i><\/b>.\u00a0 <\/span>We see these\nwords used in the following prophecy of Isaiah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Isaiah 62:1-5<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\n<\/span><\/span>For Zion\u2019s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem\u2019s\nsake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness,\nand the salvation thereof as a lamp that<\/i> burneth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory:\nand thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and\na royal diadem in the hand of thy God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any\nmore be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land\nBeulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For as<\/i> a young man marrieth a virgin, so<\/i> shall thy\nsons marry thee: and as<\/i> the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so<\/i>\nshall thy God rejoice over thee.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\never there was a prophecy that spells out God\u2019s desire for a worshiping people,\nthis is it!\u00a0 <\/span>No prophecy better spells\nout His heart\u2019s desire for a people to whom He can be married.\u00a0 <\/span>The word, <\/span>chathan<\/span><\/i><\/b>, which is\ntranslated \u201cBridegroom,\u201d is really just another word for marriage.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nword is generally used for the husband in a marriage.\u00a0 <\/span>It is the male side of a union where God has\ndone the joining of a man and woman in truth and honesty.\u00a0 <\/span>When God is the Bridegroom, He is joined to\nus in complete truth.\u00a0 <\/span>That joining is\nlike no other!\u00a0 <\/span>He is in us, and we are\nin Him.\u00a0 <\/span>(I remind you of Jesus\u2019 prayer\nin John 17.)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nword, <\/span>kallah<\/span><\/i><\/b>, on the other hand \u2014 the word translated Bride, is a\nunique word.\u00a0 <\/span>The Hebrew construction of\nthis word uses a double lamed (L), which, according to our Hebrew scholar,\nChaim BenTorah, signifies both destruction and completion.\u00a0 <\/span>If that sounds strange, then consider this.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nyou get married, your \u201csingleness\u201d is destroyed.\u00a0 <\/span>In Genesis 2:24, we are told,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall\ncleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh<\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus,\nthere is no more, \u201cWhat\u2019s mine is mine, and what\u2019s yours is yours.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Everything I own belongs to Della as well.\u00a0 <\/span>She has equal ownership in anything I\nhave.\u00a0 <\/span>The same applies to anything she\nhas.\u00a0 <\/span>I have equal ownership in whatever\nDella has.\u00a0 <\/span>We complete each other.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\u2019s\nnot only true Spiritually, it is true in a physical world.\u00a0 <\/span>Della and I both have wills, and we have\naddendum agreements drawn up such that if anything were to happen to either one\nof us, the other person has full ownership and control of everything.\u00a0 <\/span>[We live in a screwy, contentious, litigious\nage, and for that reason have taken legal steps to ensure that each other is\ncompletely protected in this way.]<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\nunderstand what I\u2019m getting at, don\u2019t you?\u00a0\n<\/span>Everything that God has, He has made available to us.\u00a0 <\/span>Everything that we have, we give to Him.\u00a0 <\/span>He has full control of every part of our\nbeing, every part of our existence, everything that we own.\u00a0 <\/span>We no longer consider that we own that which\nwe have.\u00a0 <\/span>We have full use of everything,\nbut if the Lord requires it in any measure, it is His to take and use for His\nglory.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Consider\nhow the apostle Paul puts it when he writes to the Ekklesia in Ephesus.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Ephesians 1:15-23<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Wherefore I\nalso, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the\nsaints, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>Cease\nnot to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>That the God of our\nLord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom\nand revelation in the knowledge of him:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may\nknow what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of\nhis inheritance in the saints<\/u>, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And what is<\/i>\nthe exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe<\/u>, according to\nthe working of his mighty power, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>Which he wrought in\nChrist, when he raised him from the dead, and set him<\/i> at his own right\nhand in the heavenly places<\/i>,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion,\nand every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is\nto come: <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And\nhath put all things<\/i> under his feet, and gave him to be<\/i> the head\nover all things<\/i> to the church, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>Which is his body,\nthe fulness of him that filleth all in all.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\nsee it, don\u2019t you?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(1)\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>That ye may know\nwhat is the hope of His calling.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(2)\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>What (are) the\nriches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(3)<\/span>\u00a0What is the\nexceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the\nworking of His mighty power.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

(4)<\/span>\u00a0And He hath put all\n(things) under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all to the Ekklesia\n(church).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Is\nthat a picture of us having access to everything that is Him?\u00a0 <\/span>If we are going to be partakers of this\nglory, this power, this magnificence, these riches, there\u2019s one tiny little\nphrase that gets overlooked.\u00a0 <\/span>Take\nanother look.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cWhat\nis the exceeding greatness of His power TO US \u2013WARD WHO BELIEVE!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>This is a marriage union, folks!\u00a0 <\/span>What\u2019s His is ours \u2014 IF we believe it and\nwalk in it and remain faithful to it.\u00a0 <\/span>By\nthe same token what is ours is His.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nis a perfect place to identify something of ours that He wants to control \u2014 and\nsomething which is mandatory, if we are to be faithful to this marriage.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\nknow what it is, don\u2019t you?\u00a0 <\/span>Our\ntongue.\u00a0 <\/span>The marriage between the Lord\nJesus Christ and the disciples was ratified on the Day of Pentecost.\u00a0 <\/span>He had their tongues, and used those tongues\nto manifest His power and authority in 17 different languages to those who were\ngathered about.\u00a0 <\/span>From that day forward,\nJesus had their tongues.\u00a0 <\/span>He could speak\nthrough them in any language He so desired to minister to virtually any kind of\nneed.\u00a0 <\/span>The disciples became apostles and\nprophets and evangelists, etc., because of the marriage covenant between them\nand the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>He gave them power.\u00a0 <\/span>They gave Him their tongues.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Need\nto finish this, but we will pick up this theme of marriage and union with the\nLord next week.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
