The Strait Gate, Part 3<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

February<\/a> 22,\n2019<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Let\u2019s see if we can wrap this up\ntoday.\u00a0 <\/span>I know that some of what I\u2019ve\nshared may have stepped on some folks\u2019 religious understanding and\/or\ndoctrines, but this revelation is critical for this particular time.\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus is coming for an overcoming Bride \u2013 and\nfolks, we have a lot of overcoming in front of us.\u00a0 <\/span>Never have we had such a nation divided!\u00a0 <\/span>Never have we had such full-blown demonic\nactivity on display.\u00a0 <\/span>Never have we in\nAmerica seen such efforts of the Enemy to destroy every vestige of our\nrelationship with Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>It is\ntime for us to overcome all of this and to take our places of responsibility in\nthis hour!<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

For\nmost people (and I know there are exceptions to this) baptism in the Holy\nSpirit comes first as the Holy Spirit reveals the need and necessity of our\nliving and operating in this realm.\u00a0 <\/span>It\nbecomes a reality -- a fact of life -- however, only when we yield to the\nSpirit in direct response.\u00a0 <\/span>The same\nholds true for the \"laying on of hands,\" which we equate with the\nrealm of miracles, the raising of the dead, and the preparation for what has\nbeen generally referred to as \"end times.\"\u00a0 <\/span>All of these things begin in us by a\nrevelation of the Spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>They are<\/b>\nreal!\u00a0 <\/span>They are<\/b> valid!\u00a0 <\/span>They become a dimension of absolutely\nstunning and exciting life when we respond to that which the Holy Spirit\ndirects us -- either to do or to say.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\ncatch is that our responses are all predicated -- and the Holy Spirit knows <\/b>this\n-- on the understanding to which He has brought us up to this point!<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>That is to say, our understanding is\npredicated on having been living in either the Outer CC<\/span>ourt, or the Holy Place.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Each\ntime He has called us on into a new realm, we have been required to set aside\nall that He has revealed to us.\u00a0 <\/span>When we\nmoved from Salvation, and then Baptism in Water, to the Baptism in the Holy\nSpirit, we could no longer major on Salvation or Water Baptism.\u00a0 <\/span>He did not<\/b> invalidate what He had\naccomplished in us: He simply brought us on to a greater development of\nrelationship.<\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nHe brought us from the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues into\nthe realm of miracles, laying on of hands, and even raising the dead, He did\nnot invalidate our Baptism in the Holy Spirit, or speaking in tongues, or\nlaying hands on people in order to bring us to the place of raising the\ndead.\u00a0 <\/span>He simply developed more of\nHimself within us.<\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

By\nthe same understanding, we realize that the accent in certain quarters of the\nBody of Christ on preparing for the \"end times\" and all of the\nperceived events associated therewith, does not invalidate any of our previous\nrealms of understanding in order to respond to whatever we hear from the Holy\nSpirit.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Here's\nthe catch!\u00a0 <\/span>(And this is apparently the\nstumbling block for many.)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nwe stop<\/span><\/b>\nwith whatever the Lord has directed us to do in any of these areas, we are\ndoing so because we choose to operate on the basis of that which we\nunderstand.<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Revelation from the\nLord does not stop, so long as we continue to respond to Him.<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>When we stop responding and busy ourselves\nwith the activities of the realm we have been living in and enjoying, it is\nbecause we perceive it to be good!\u00a0 <\/span>And\nit is -- make no mistake!\u00a0 <\/span>We like what\nwe are doing!\u00a0 <\/span>It is exciting!\u00a0 <\/span>We can easily justify the continuance of all\nthese things because \u201cthey were revealed to us by the Lord!\"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nfact, we have added to what the Lord has revealed, and this changes it from a\nresponse of obedience to the Lord to eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of\nGood and Evil.\u00a0 <\/span>How?\u00a0 <\/span>What we have added is, \"and you are to\ngo on doing this for (the next five years), (the next ten or fifteen years),\n(the rest of your life).\"\u00a0 <\/span>We simply\nfill in whatever blank we want in order to justify our continuance in this\nrealm.\u00a0 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Do\nyou see the trap?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nLord reveals something to us.\u00a0 <\/span>It is\nwonderful!\u00a0 <\/span>It is exciting!\u00a0 <\/span>But He did not say to remain there for the\nrest of your life!<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>To do so means\nyou are responding on the basis of the fact that \"it is good.\"\u00a0 <\/span>Hence, you eat of the Tree of Knowledge.\u00a0 <\/span>It is the \"Knowledge of Good.\"\u00a0 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hence,\nyou reject the life which comes from a direct response to His beckoning.\u00a0 <\/span>As a result, by saying \"no\" to His\nbeckoning, you nullify Jesus' death on the Cross.\u00a0 <\/span>His death was specifically ordained to sever\nthe curse of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.\u00a0 <\/span>He died to set us free from the curse of\nhaving to live under the Law.\u00a0 <\/span>He died so\nthat we would be able to respond to His beckoning -- freely -- to His wooing,\nto His romancing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nwe are going to say, \"NO?!\"\u00a0\n<\/span>Are we going to say, \"I want to stay put?!\"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For\nthat there is no repentance!\u00a0 <\/span>For that\nthere is no renewing to a place of intimacy and union with Him as His\nBride.\u00a0 <\/span>We have essentially chosen to\ngrab the benefits of salvation and the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit\nwithout getting to know<\/b> Him in the dimension He desires<\/b> -- a\ndimension found only<\/b> in the Holy of Holies.\u00a0 <\/span>This is a slap in His face!\u00a0 <\/span>It is the ultimate insult!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In\nverses 7 and 8 of Hebrews 6, Paul\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/span>likens our coming into the Holy of Holies to being groomed and dressed\nin the same manner that a garden is groomed and dressed.\u00a0 <\/span>We expect a garden which is tilled and\nplanted to bring forth <\/span>\"herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiving\nblessing from God.\"<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>When that soil,\nwhich has been tilled and groomed, brings forth briers and thorns, it is\ndeserving of a curse, <\/span>\"of which the end is for burning.\"<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>The implication is crystal clear.\u00a0 <\/span>When one turns back from the Tree of Life to\nthe Tree of Knowledge, one is deserving of a curse, and the destruction which\ncomes at the end of that curse.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Following\nthis same line of logic, we can see that he likens our return to dwelling with,\nand majoring on the doctrines of salvation, baptisms, miracles, raising of the\ndead, end-times, etc., after having experienced being One with Him and\nreceiving direct life from Him, as returning to the Tree of Knowledge.\u00a0 <\/span>The individual, therefore, who does this can\nnever again be joined to the Lord Jesus Christ in a Bride\/Bridegroom\nrelationship since it would be paramount to adultery.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For\nthat reason, the Lord will not<\/b> allow us into this realm unless and\nuntil<\/b> we come to the place of being willing to totally lay down all<\/b>\nof our doctrines and pre-conditions so that He can do the finishing and final\npreparation of us as a part of His Bride.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Once\nagain, let me make it abundantly clear that His purpose is not to invalidate\nthat which we have done at His direction, or been involved in, but rather to\nlead us on the place where we live in His presence, 24 hours per day!<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>If you remember John 17, we will recall that\nHis objective and purpose is that we and He be One -- even as He and the Father\nare One.\u00a0 <\/span>That is not a theoretical\nideal, nor is it some ethereal mysticism.\u00a0\n<\/span>It is a very real and practical reality which He is<\/b> (and will\nbe<\/b>) bringing to pass, now<\/b> -- not at some way off future date\n\"in the sweet by and by!\"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Now,\nlet's go back to the beginning of this discussion in Revelation 3.\u00a0 <\/span>The promise of the Lord is, <\/span>\"Him\nthat overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go\nno more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the\ncity of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my\nGod: and I will write upon him my new name.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(Revelation 3:12\nKJV)<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nwon't take the time to do a breakdown of this verse in the Greek other than to\nlook at one word, \"name.\"\u00a0\n<\/span>First, it is important to note that He says, <\/span>\"...and\nhe shall go no more out..\"<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>In other words, He\nis saying, \"Once you overcome and enter into this place, you no longer\nneed to go out -- you no longer need to go back and forth as the Old Testament\npriests did: first ministering to Me, and then ministering to the\npeople.\"\u00a0 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nreason becomes clear in the very next statement, <\/span>\"and I\nwill write upon him the name (onoma) of my God.\"<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>This is not <\/span>name\" as we think of names, but <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b>: character, identity,\nmakeup, personality, power, rank, authority, etc.\u00a0 <\/span>It is not our old <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b>,\nbut the <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b> of our God: His\ncharacter, His identity, His makeup, His personality, His power, His rank, His\nauthority, etc.\u00a0 <\/span>This is the essence of\nthe Bride, who is the co-equal counterpart of the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Having\nthis new <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b> is the place of those\nwho overcome <\/span>thlipsis<\/span><\/i><\/b> and enter the Strait\nGate, \"The Eye of the Needle,\" the Gate of Worship, dropping off or\nlaying aside everything in order to live in His presence NOW!<\/o:p><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Do\nyou want His <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b> to be your character\nand makeup?\u00a0 <\/span>Do you want to have His new<\/u>\n<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b>?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nchallenge all of you who either are at present in a place of public ministry or\nhave been (and still desire to be) there.\u00a0\n<\/span>This is not<\/b> the end of what God is doing, nor where He is leading\nus.\u00a0 <\/span>Once you have come through the\nStrait Gate, you will discover that in laying aside everything, there is a\ndimension of life not available anywhere else; there is an authority and power\nwhich is inviolable; and there is an intimate relationship with the Lord which\ndefies comparison and causes everything else to pale into insignificance.\u00a0 <\/span>This is the place where time ceases to have\nrelevance!\u00a0 <\/span>This is the place where eternity\nin Christ Jesus takes on reality!\u00a0 <\/span>This\nis the place where our onoma<\/i> becomes so intertwined with His that they\nare inseparable!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Drop\neverything!\u00a0 <\/span>Drop your ministries!\u00a0 <\/span>Drop your priorities!\u00a0 <\/span>Make ministry to the Lord Jesus Christ your\nonly priority! <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He\ncame again unto me and said, \u201cSon of man, what is it that thou dost again\ndesire?\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>I said, \u201cOh, my God!\u00a0 <\/span>Give me power in my hands, as Thou didst do,\nso that I might lay hands on the sick; that I might see healing flow; that I\nmight have power!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>He said, \u201cIt is done\nas thou hast commanded.\u00a0 <\/span>Go!\u00a0 <\/span>Heal the sick in My Name!\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nwent to the nations of the earth, and I saw the sick raised from their sick\nbeds and saw pain and suffering go.\u00a0 <\/span>I\nwas rejoicing as I went to my place and said, \u201cNow I shall be satisfied, for\nThou hast given me that which I desired.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/span>But no sooner had the words come out of my mouth until the heart within\nme began to ache and cry, and I said, \u201cGod!\u00a0\n<\/span>I do not understand this, for again my heart is sad.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nI said, \u201cLord, I desire to go against the principalities and powers, and the\npowers of the wickedness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high\nplaces.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He\nsaid, \u201cSurely, I give it unto thee.\u00a0 <\/span>Now,\nGo!\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nwent, and the Lord allowed me to go into dens of iniquity, and holes in dives\nwhere men hide from The Light because of sin and evil that is upon them.\u00a0 <\/span>There was a day when I saw demons cry out at\nthe very presence of the power of God that rested upon me.\u00a0 <\/span>Then I went back to my place, broken, and I\nsaid, \u201cGod, I have asked Thee for all that I desire, and still my heart is not\nsatisfied; nor do I feel that I have touched the thing that Thou hast called me\nto do.\u00a0 <\/span>In my youth, I have expended\nmyself with all the things that my heart has desired.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Then\none more time a gracious and loving God visited me in the night season, and He\nsaid, \u201cCome with me, and I will take you on a journey.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>He took me past those with whom I had come\ninto the house of the Lord, and He took me into a desolate place.\u00a0 <\/span>He caused me to go into a place alone in the\nwilderness.\u00a0 <\/span>I said, \u201cOh, my God!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Thou hast now cut me off from those I\nlove.\u00a0 <\/span>What art thou doing unto me?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He\nsaid, \u201cI take thee to a place that all men must come if their heart\u2019s cry is to\nbe fulfilled.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>At a certain hour, I\nbowed before a gate that is called, \u201cThe Eye of the Needle.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>There before the Eye of the Needle, I heard\nthe voice of the Lord say, \u201cBow low.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>I\nbowed low.\u00a0 <\/span>He said, \u201cNo, bow\nlower!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>And I bowed lower.\u00a0 <\/span>And He said, \u201cNo, yet lower.\u00a0 <\/span>Thou dost not bow low enough.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>I went as low as I could go, but I had upon\nmy back my books of learning.\u00a0 <\/span>I had my\ninstruments of music, and I had my gifts and abilities.\u00a0 <\/span>He said unto me, \u201cThou hast too much.\u00a0 <\/span>Thou canst not go through this gate.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nsaid, \u201cGod!\u00a0 <\/span>Thou hast given me these\nabilities.\u00a0 <\/span>Thou hast given me these\nbooks.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>He said, \u201cDrop them, or thou\ndost not go.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>I dropped them, and I went\nthrough this very small gate that is called, \u201cThe Eye of the Needle.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>As I went through this gate, I heard the\nvoice of the Lord say, \u201cNow, rise to the other side.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nI rose, I noticed a very strange thing that had happened to me.\u00a0 <\/span>For lo, the gate was so small that I must lay\naside everything, and yet so wide that I could not fill it.\u00a0 <\/span>As I stood in the presence of the Lord, I\nsaid, \u201cGod, what is this thing that thou hast done unto me?\u00a0 <\/span>For now, my soul is satisfied.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He\nsaid, \u201cThou hast come through the Gate of Worship.\u00a0 <\/span>Now, come up to the circle of the earth, and\nI will show thee a great mystery.\u00a0 <\/span>I will\nreveal unto thee the things which I am doing among the sons of men.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nSpirit of the Lord caught me away, and He took me to the circle of the earth \u2014\nhigher than the eagle flies, higher than where the clouds are gathered \u2014 beyond\nwhere the sun shines, or the moon finds her path.\u00a0 <\/span>There at the Throne of my God, He said, \u201cLook\ndown upon my people.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nI looked, I saw a very strange thing.\u00a0 <\/span>I\nsaw my companions wringing their hands and crying to one another complaining,\nsaying, \u201cGod has given us these instruments of war.\u00a0 <\/span>This sword is my sword!\u00a0 <\/span>I will wield it, and I will bring the enemy\ndown.\u00a0 <\/span>I cannot go through this gate, for\nif I go, I must put down my sword and my instruments of war.\u00a0 <\/span>God has called me to be a warrior; therefore,\nI will not do it!\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nheard another one say, \u201cMe!\u00a0 <\/span>Lay down my\ninstruments of music?\u00a0 <\/span>Lay down all that\nGod has given me to go through that silly little gate?\u00a0 <\/span>To be a nothing?\u00a0 <\/span>To be a bare man who comes out on the other\nside stripped of everything?\u00a0 <\/span>I cannot do\nthis thing.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And I saw as they stood aside in their\npride, afraid to bow themselves before a very small gate; and then I saw again\nas the Lord brought me closer to the gate.\u00a0\n<\/span>I saw men bow low, laying down everything they had.\u00a0 <\/span>As they came through that very wide gate, on\nthe other side, the power was there.\u00a0 <\/span>The\nWord of the Lord came unto me and said, \u201cGo, now, and tell this people this\nthing.\u00a0 <\/span>I have given unto this people\nextreme talent, and much ability.\u00a0 <\/span>I have\ncaused you who were instrumentalists to play; but I say unto you this night, if\nyou do not come through the very small gate, which is the Gate of Worship, and\nbow low, and lay before me thine instruments, and thy abilities, and thy\nvision, and thy talents, and thy power, thou shalt always be those who will\nonly be able to minister to the hearts of men.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But there is a gate open to my people in\nthis hour which is a very small gate.\u00a0\n<\/span>Only those men who are worshippers will go.\u00a0 <\/span>Though men will fall on their face before me,\nthese men will lay their talents before their God; and these men will say,\n\u201cGod!\u00a0 <\/span>We will be worshipers.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Through that wide gate, they will come.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And as they come through that wide gate,\nHear the Word of the Lord!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

They will arise on the other side \u2014 not to\nminister to men \u2014 but to minister unto their God!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
