\"How can I curse those God has not cursed? Or how can I [violently]\ndenounce those the LORD has not denounced?\"<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b> <\/span>(Numbers\n23:8, Amplified Version)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Today I'd like to take\na few minutes and share with you some of my own personal experiences in the\nrealm of causeless curses.\u00a0 <\/span>Some of what\nI share you\u2019ve heard me share previously, so bear with me if you\u2019ve read it or\nheard it before.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Anyway, Good Morning,\nall you Blessed People!\u00a0 Sorta<\/span> got started there\na bit different than normal.\u00a0 Pull up a chair, set a spell, and pour yourself\na cup of this good Columbian brew.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

By\nmy best recollection, the year was 1980.\u00a0 The Alaska Pipeline was in full\noperation and oil was flowing out of the Prudhoe Bay fields at near pipeline\ncapacity.\u00a0 The economic benefit to America was enormous because we now had\na huge source of domestic oil flowing to replace oil we'd been buying abroad.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nwas heading up CBN's operations in Alaska, growing the broadcast ministry of\nthe 700 Club throughout Alaskan communities primarily through the profits from\ntwo businesses -- Arctic Slope Audio (a retail electronics business) and North\nSlope Communications (a UHF-VHF business radio communication supplier for\ngovernment and corporate entities) -- and pastoring Inupiat Christian Center in\nBarrow at the same time.\u00a0 Wheww!\u00a0 I look back now and wonder how I\nkept up with it all.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nbusiness operations and broadcast ministry were both in high gear, but it was\nthe ministry at Inupiat Christian Center that was creating a furor amongst\nreligious people.\u00a0 We were dealing with some pretty heavy demonic activity\nin the arctic, and the ministry of deliverance -- by itself -- provokes\ncontroversy.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

As\nthe opposition to our ministry in the realm of deliverance increased, our\nfamily began receiving hate mail and death threats on a consistent basis.\u00a0\nI can't even begin to tell you how many times I answered the phone only to hear\na muffled voice on the other end of the line saying something like, \"The\nnext time you step out the door, you're going to get a bullet through the face,\"\nor perhaps, \"You're a dead man, you know.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

My\nchildren began to be threatened and attacked.\u00a0 Debbie -- our oldest\ndaughter (and an adopted Eskimo -- was shot at six times.\u00a0 Chris and\nMelodie were assaulted on numerous occasions on their way home from\nschool.\u00a0 There were a couple of times when they came home bruised and\nbloodied after being attacked in the dark (this was during the 66-day dark\ncycle when the sun never rises).\u00a0 Young men in their twenties would lie in\nwait for them knowing the route they walked coming home from school, grab them,\npick them up and throw them in mid-air against the side of a building\nrepeatedly, and then run away.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Accusations\nof criminal activity were being leveled against me.\u00a0 I'll never forget the\nday there was a knock at the door.\u00a0 When I answered, there were two police\nofficers with guns drawn and pointed at me, demanding to come in and search my\nhome.\u00a0 Whatever the accusation was, the most mystifying part was the fact\nthat in the process of raiding our bedroom, they took sheets, bedding and\nclothing, bagged them up and walked out the door without a word.\u00a0 We never\ngot an explanation, and the items were never returned.\u00a0 No charges were\never filed.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Driving\ndown the street one day, headed toward our retail business (Arctic Slope\nAudio), a rifle shot rang out, and a bullet penetrated the van I was driving\njust inches behind me.\u00a0 A few weeks later, I was in a construction shack\non land we had acquired for building a new church going over the drawings of\nthe planned building with one of the elders in our church.\u00a0 We were\nstanding in front of a window talking, and suddenly pulled back from each\nother.\u00a0 It was an involuntary and spontaneous thing -- obviously\norchestrated by the Holy Spirit.\u00a0 As we drew back from each other, the\nwindow exploded between us and a bullet narrowly missed me.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nopened the door, looked out, and saw a man standing about 300 feet away with a\nrifle and scope aimed at me.\u00a0 I hollered at him, \"Hey!\u00a0 What do\nyou think you're doing?\" and took off running towards him.\u00a0 It obviously\nwas not what he was expecting and shocked him.\u00a0 He dropped the rifle as he\nturned to run in the opposite direction.\u00a0 He reached down, snatched up the\nweapon, took off running around the corner to a waiting vehicle and took off.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

If\nI were to say that things were getting pretty intense, you could easily\nappreciate it.\u00a0 Pardon me for getting so graphic here, but I'm drawing a\npicture to help you understand the nature of this spiritual opposition.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nwas about the same time as this latter event that Scott Hessek called me from\nCBN in Virginia Beach.\u00a0 Scott was the guy who initially hooked me up with\nCBN in the fall of 1976, and he and I had become pretty close friends.\u00a0 He\ncalled me to let me know that Pat Robertson had just had a guest on the 700\nClub who'd returned from a trip to Russia.\u00a0 During the pre-show discussion\n(and again after the program had ended), this man had shared how he had learned\nof a group of men and women -- practicing witches, psychics, warlocks, etc. --\nhad decided to experiment with their so-called \"psychic\" power.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

They\nhad a hatred of America and decided to focus a series of curses against\nAmerica's economy by specifically targeting the Alaska pipeline.\u00a0 They\nwere commanding the pipeline to blow up and cursing it on a daily basis.\u00a0\nThey were also cursing Christian leaders in Alaska.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Scott\nsaid to me, \"Brother, I know you're going through it right now, but hang\nin there.\u00a0 God has positioned you for the defense of believers, and to\nprotect the pipeline.\u00a0 Now you know where the opposition is coming from,\nand you know how to deal with it.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It\nwasn't much later when I received another phone call -- this one from a Pastor\nThornton in Kennewick, Washington.\u00a0 We'd never met, I didn't know him (in\nfact, never heard of him), and he didn't know me.\u00a0 The Holy Spirit\nawakened him that morning, gave him my name and phone number and gave him a\nvision of what I was going through and standing against.\u00a0 His word to me\nwas something like this, \"Brother, we don't know each other, but the Lord\nobviously knows you.\u00a0 You are standing in the gap for God's people.\u00a0\nThe Lord spoke to Ezekiel one day and told him that He was searching for\nsomeone who would stand in the gap for His people.\u00a0 In that instance, He\ntold Ezekiel he had not found anyone.\u00a0 In this instance, He found you and\nyou agreed.\u00a0 You are engaged in warfare against the enemy, and God wants\nyou to know you are winning!\u00a0 Stand fast, <\/a>my\nbrother.\u00a0 Stand fast!\u00a0 The victory has been given you.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\nimmediately called our church fellowship together for a week of fasting and\nprayer.\u00a0 The following Sunday, we went as a group to the beach and\nstretched our hands out towards the general direction of Russia.\u00a0 We spoke\nwith one voice and in full accord, \"We cancel out this curse in the name\nof Jesus and send it back where it came from.\u00a0 Whatever the Enemy has\nintended for harm here, we command it to return upon him.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\nthen asked the Lord to show up in the midst of those practicers of the occult\nand display His power and glory in such a manner as to halt their evil\nactivities.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Within\na matter of weeks the following events appeared in the local and national\nnews.\u00a0 The first event was a report that the FBI had learned of a plot to\nblow up the pipeline.\u00a0 They caught the conspirators no more than hours or\ndays before they would have created an explosion that would have taken the\npipeline out of commission for many months.\u00a0 The FBI investigators found\nplastic explosives already in place with radio-controlled triggers set to\ndetonate at various key points.\u00a0 The plot was interrupted before the\ndevices could be set off.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nnext event reported in the news was that there had been a massive explosion on\nthe Siberian oil pipeline.\u00a0 The destruction was such that it put the\npipeline more than a year behind schedule.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nthird report came months later.\u00a0 We heard via some ministers in Russia\nthat the group of witches, warlocks and psychics had broken up.\u00a0\nApparently the Lord showed up in their midst (we never heard the exact details)\nin such a way that it scared the living daylights out of them.\u00a0 Whatever\nGod did, He ended their demonic conspiracy against the USA, against the Alaska\nPipeline, and against Christian leaders.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nwhole experience ended for me any question of the authority we have in Christ\nJesus over the power of Satan -- no matter where or how he seeks to employ it.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

During\nthe 2008 political campaigns, Flo Ellers<\/span> sent out an\nemail (and Jim Bramlett forwarded it on to me) concerning the meeting and\nreport that came from Bree<\/span> Keyton<\/span>\nconcerning the curses being pronounced upon John McCain and Sarah Palin by\nthose witches, warlocks, shamans and practicers of the occult in Mombassa,\nKenya, it brought back a flood of memories of my own experiences in Barrow,\nAlaska, and the effectiveness we had as a small group of believers in reversing\nthe curses.\u00a0 Flo was kind enough to send me a CD recorded during Bree's\nmeeting (I contacted her following the email) and I listened to her report as\nshe detailed her experiences in Kenya.\u00a0 I realized that it was time to\nmobilize Christians everywhere to exercise their authority in Christ Jesus.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nJesus taught the disciples to pray, the very first thing they were commanded to\npray was, <\/span>\"Thy\nKingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

By\ninstructing prayer in this manner, Jesus made it clear that God restricts his\ninvolvement in the affairs of men to the way His people pray.\u00a0 He\ncertainly has the power to come banging out of Heaven and force His will on\nearth, but that would defeat His objective for a people who love Him and choose\nHis will of their own volition.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hence,\nhe awaits the praise and worship, the prayers and the intercession of His\npeople acting in concert and agreement with Him so that His will can be enacted\non earth (and in <\/b>earth -- us!) as it is already enacted in Heaven.\u00a0\nHis Kingdom already rules in Heaven, but He expects us to act in agreement and\nin accord with His will in order to implement that will on the earth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We\ndon't have to be timid at all about reversing curses sent against God's people,\nagainst this nation and against those whom God has chosen for leadership.\u00a0\nThe final authority to cancel out those curses is ours.\u00a0 Let's go back to\nthe verses with which we began this Coffee Break.\u00a0 Curses are\n\"causeless\" (Hebrew: <\/span>chinnam<\/span><\/i><\/span>:<\/span><\/i> <\/span>devoid\nof cost, where innocence exists, for no reason<\/span><\/u>)\nwhen we are covered by the blood of Jesus, when we meet God's conditions, and\nwhen we exercise the authority of the Throne of God in accordance with His\nwill.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Take\na look at the effort of Balak (Numbers 23), the King of the Moabites, to bring\na curse upon Israel.\u00a0 He was deathly afraid of Israel -- particularly\nafter seeing how Israel was destroying nations far more powerful than\nthey.\u00a0 Balak knew that Israel's ability to defeat these nations was\nsupernatural, that it came from a God far more powerful than the ones he and\nthe Moabites served.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

He\ndecided, therefore, in his ignorance of God and God's blessing upon His people,\nthat he would find a prophet in Israel who could be bought.\u00a0 Since that\nprophet would speak from some (imagined) magical power, whatever curse or\nincantation he spoke would come to pass.\u00a0 He would therefore have that\nprophet pronounce a curse upon Israel.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Folks,\nthis is the root of all curses.\u00a0 Fear!\u00a0 Paralyzing fear!\u00a0 Only\nthose who have an unholy terror of God and His righteousness, and want nothing\nto do with Him and His people, seek to curse those people who live under the\nblessing of God.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Why\nelse do you think evil and wicked individuals are attempting to cast spells and\ncurse our President, Donald Trump?\u00a0 He has boldly taken a stand for\nrighteousness and righteous issues.\u00a0 Whether he has failings in other\nareas or not, he has put himself squarely on God's side.\u00a0 That makes him\nthe target of those who are afraid of God's power and authority sweeping this\nnation and sweeping out the filth that has corrupted our courts, our laws and\nour government.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When\nBalaam was seduced by the offers of money, power over men, and the esteem he\nthought he could get by honoring Balak's request to curse Israel (prophets were\nfeared in Israel, but not highly regarded, and they lacked the kind of civil\nauthority that appealed to Balaam), he ran into a brick\nwall.....literally!\u00a0 Being a prophet, however, he had the anointing of a\nprophet.\u00a0 What Balaam didn't realize was that God's anointing would not\npermit him to speak curses against a nation of people in whom -- despite their\nfailings and their sins against God -- the blessing of Abraham resided.\u00a0\n(See Genesis 12:3)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Any\neffort to curse the people of God using God's power and authority would be\nwithout cost and without -- and this is the important aspect! -- reason of\nguilt because they were answerable to God, and to God alone, NOT to any other\nnation or people!\u00a0 Thus, when Balaam stood up to prophesy under the\nanointing of God, what came out of his mouth was not curse, but blessing.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\"Rise up, Balak, and hear; listen close to me, son of\nZippor; God is not a man that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of\nman that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised].\u00a0\nHas He said, and shall He not do it?\u00a0 Or has He spoken and shall He not\nmake it good?\u00a0 You see, I have received His command to bless Israel.\u00a0\nHe has blessed, and I cannot reverse or qualify it.............<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\"Surely there is no enchantment with or against Jacob,\nneither is there any divination with or against Israel.\u00a0 [In due season\nand even] now it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God\nwrought!\"<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span>(Numbers 23:18-20; 23,\nAmplified Version)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Numbers\n24 then goes on to show how Balaam finally willingly yielded to the Spirit of\nGod and commanded the blessing on Israel that Balak was trying to prevent, and\nsent the curse that Balak intended back upon the Moabites AND all those nations\nthat were rising up against the people of God!\u00a0 The following chapter\nrelates the rout of the Moabites in battle and all those who were attempting to\ncurse Israel.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Finally,\nGod's command to Israel (see Deuteronomy 23:3-6) was very specific concerning\nMoab and Ammon: <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\"An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the\ncongregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter\ninto the congregation of the LORD for ever: Because they met you not with bread\nand with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they\nhired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse\nthee.\u00a0 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but\nthe LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD\nthy God loved thee.\u00a0 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity\nall thy days forever.\"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Yeowch!!\u00a0<\/span><\/b> Pretty strong, wouldn't you\nsay?\u00a0 THAT, my friends is how God sees those who attempt to curse His\npeople.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

America\nwas founded as a nation under God.\u00a0 It was founded for the propagation of\nthe Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.\u00a0 The efforts of people to curse the\nprospective leaders of this nation just because they represent righteousness\nand Godly leadership and Godly principles puts them in the same category as the\nMoabites and Ammonites.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

That\ngives us the authority as believers in Jesus Christ to send those curses back\nwhere they came from and to declare and decree instead the blessing of the Lord\nupon our President, Donald Trump, and Vice-President, Mike Pence.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Fellow\nChristians, will you agree with me on this?\u00a0 Will you stand with us here\nat River Worship Center against these intended and causeless curses, instead\ndeclaring the blessing and favor of the Lord upon our President and\nVice-President?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
