\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

It has been a pleasure, thus far, to see the responses of readers\nwho\u2019ve taken this series to heart \u2013 especially those who\u2019ve been through a lot,\nnot really understanding what it is all about.\u00a0\n<\/span>So many folks have been programmed with the religious mentality of the\nso-called \u201cGreat Tribulation,\u201d believing that it is something the Lord is going\nto snatch them out of so they don\u2019t have to suffer.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

I\u2019ve said it before, and I keep saying it.\u00a0 <\/span>Most of the current doctrines regarding\nTribulation are based in The Fear of Death, which is demonic.\u00a0 <\/span>Satan wants Christians to believe that any\nsuffering they experience is death-dealing, and that God \u2013 being a loving God \u2013\nwould NEVER<\/i> allow them to suffer.\u00a0\n<\/span>Is there tribulation? \u00a0<\/span>Is there\naffliction?\u00a0 <\/span>Is there trials and\npersecution?\u00a0 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

Absitively<\/span><\/b><\/span>, Posilutely<\/span>!\u00a0 <\/span>[And no,\nmy tang is not tongled<\/span> up!\u00a0 <\/span>Grin!]<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

We\nfinished our last discussion talking about how God is giving President Trump\nvictory after victory after victory in the face of enormous opposition, attack\nand an onslaught of persecution the likes of which no President in U.S. history\nhas ever had to go through.\u00a0 <\/span>It is my\nhonest conviction that all of the accusations and persistent attacks are\nalready backfiring and are going to see the socialist leftists go down to one\nof the greatest defeats ever seen in this country in the next election\ncycle.\u00a0 <\/span>Just watch!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

OK.\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s take a look at another aspect of\ntribulation and why it is so much a part of our lives and the economy of the\nKingdom of God, and what it produces in us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

II Corinthians 1:3-6<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Blessed be<\/i>\nGod, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the\nGod of all comfort; Who comforteth<\/span> us in all our\ntribulation<\/u>, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any\ntrouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God<\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation\nalso aboundeth<\/span> by Christ. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>And whether we be\nafflicted, it is<\/i> for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual\nin the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be\ncomforted, it is<\/u><\/i> for your consolation and salvation<\/u><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Paul\nis making it clear to us that the endurance of the sufferings produces the\nability to comfort those with whom we have contact and fellowship, who are,\nthemselves, in the same trials and afflictions.\u00a0\n<\/span>This is because the Lord comforts us in the midst of our pressures and\ntroubles, and that comfort is very real!\u00a0\n<\/span>It is a comfort that produces a peace and a rest in our spirits such\nthat, even in the midst of physical pain or misery, we are able to rejoice,\nknowing that there is an end to it.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Paul\ncontinues his same discourse in his second letter to the Ekklesia in Corinth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

II Corinthians 1:7-11<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>And\nour hope of you is<\/i> stedfast<\/span>, knowing, that as\nye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be<\/i> also of the\nconsolation. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble\nwhich came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength,\ninsomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in\nourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth<\/span> the dead:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in\nwhom we trust that he will yet deliver us<\/i>; Ye also helping together by\nprayer for us, that for the gift bestowed<\/i> upon us by the means of many\npersons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\nsee the context, don\u2019t you, of the situation in which Paul is writing\nthis?\u00a0 <\/span>He admits to even coming to a\nplace of emotional despair, knowing that he may very well not survive the\nsituation he is in at the time.\u00a0 <\/span>Paul and\nhis company of believers had reached a physical, emotional and mental breaking\npoint, being under the sentence of death by his persecutors.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Nonetheless,\nhe was able to say, ...<\/span>we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth<\/span> the dead...<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0THAT, folks, is the kind of faith that develops in us\nwhen we are at our very end and the Lord delivers us!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I\ndon\u2019t need to repeat all the stories I\u2019ve shared with you over the months and\nyears of all the times I faced death in auto accidents, being on fire, having\nwould-be assassins attempt to take me out with sniper fire, and the Lord\ndelivered me.\u00a0 <\/span>And that only scratches\nthe surface!\u00a0 <\/span>That deliverance produced a\nboldness and a fearlessness for which there is no adequate description.\u00a0 <\/span>I have a trust in the Lord that knows no\nbounds!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Those\nexperiences have no doubt contributed to the revelation I\u2019ve shared with you of\nthe end of the curse of death, and the fact that Jesus took our appointment\nwith death upon Himself and canceled our appointment.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

And\nPaul\u2019s stories of comfort in the midst of trial and tribulation continue: <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

II Corinthians 7:4-7<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Great\nis<\/i> my boldness of speech toward you, great is<\/i> my glorying of you:\nI am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation<\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

5<\/span><\/sup>For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest,\nbut we were troubled on every side; without were<\/i> fightings<\/span>,\nwithin were<\/i> fears.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Nevertheless God, that comforteth<\/span>\nthose that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus; And not by his\ncoming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he\ntold us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so\nthat I rejoiced the more.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Notice\nhow Paul expresses himself.\u00a0 <\/span>He is not\nexceeding joyful for the tribulation: he is joyful in the midst of it!\u00a0 <\/span>None of us are happy to be in the midst of\nthe Valley of the Shadow of Death.\u00a0 <\/span>None\nof us are happy or joyful to be experiencing the pressures and afflictions we\nare going through.\u00a0 <\/span>But we can<\/i><\/b>\nbe joyful in the midst of it.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Joy\nis a whole lot different than happiness.\u00a0\n<\/span>Happiness is a state of mind.\u00a0 <\/span>Joy\nis a state of our spirits, and that is a state that produces that \u201cpeace that\npasses understanding\u201d and a rest that allows to to<\/span>\npress forward \u2014 no matter what the circumstances.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Consider\nnow what Paul writes to the Ekklesia in Thessalonica.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

I Thessalonians 3:4-10<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>For verily, when we\nwere with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it\ncame to pass, and ye know. For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I\nsent to know your faith<\/u>, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you,\nand our labour be in vain.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us\ngood tidings of your faith and charity<\/u>, and that ye have good remembrance\nof us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see<\/i> you:\nTherefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and\ndistress by your faith<\/u>:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. For what thanks\ncan we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your\nsakes before our God; Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see\nyour face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith<\/u>?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Two\nmore things are described here that develop in the midst of tribulation: Faith\nand Love (Charity).\u00a0 <\/span>Paul was keenly\naware of the fact that tribulation, testing, trials, afflictions \u2014 the\ncrucible, if you will \u2014 produces faith and a depth of love that no other\ntesting process can produce.\u00a0 <\/span>Our faith\nin the Lord grows by leaps and bounds because of what we experience in the midst\nof these afflictions.\u00a0 <\/span>Our love for the\nLord \u2014 and consequently, our ability to show love to those who seem not to\ndeserve it \u2014 grows exponentially.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

This\nis key to what the Lord is out to develop in us.\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s not forget that Jesus \u2014 our Bridegroom\n\u2014 is coming to receive for Himself a Bride who is His true Counterpart, His\n\u201cOther Self\u201d \u2014 someone who is just like Him.\u00a0\n<\/span>That means that we have to have and demonstrate the kind of love that\nJesus showed to us and continues to shower us with.\u00a0 <\/span>That means that we have to have qualitative\nfaith \u2014 the kind of faith that moves mountains, heals the sick, raises the\ndead, performs miracles without a second thought, casts out demons and\nexercises His authority in the midst of every situation!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nLord evelops<\/span> all of that in those who will overcome,\nthose who will conquer every obstacle, listening to Him when He speaks and\ndoing exactly what He says \u2014 not what our natural minds tell us to do.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Remember\nwhat David wrote in Psalm 23 \u2014 and we\u2019ve already talked about it today \u2014 <\/span>\u201cHe\nprepareth a table before me in the presence of mine enemies\u201d<\/span>?\u00a0 <\/span>Look at what Paul writes in his second letter\nto the Ekklesia in Thessalonica.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

II Thessalonians 1:3-10<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>We\nare bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that\nyour faith groweth<\/span> exceedingly, and the charity of\nevery one of you all toward each other aboundeth<\/span>; <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>So that we ourselves\nglory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your\npersecutions and tribulations that ye endure:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Which is<\/span><\/i> a manifest token of the\nrighteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God,\nfor which ye also suffer: Seeing it is<\/i> a righteous thing with God to\nrecompense tribulation to them that trouble you; <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus\nshall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking\nvengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord\nJesus Christ: <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the\npresence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>When he shall come to\nbe glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because\nour testimony among you was believed) in that day.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

You\nsee the continuing accent on the faith and love that are produced in the midst\nof trials and afflictions!\u00a0 <\/span>Paul now\nmakes clear the fact that there is a day in store for those who have troubled\nus \u2014 a day when God will \u201crecompense judgment\u201d with destruction, and return\ntribulation upon all those who don\u2019t know the Lord, who don\u2019t obey the Word of\nthe Lord!\u00a0 <\/span>You think God doesn\u2019t see what\nthe Enemy is trying to do?\u00a0 <\/span>You think God\nis going to let the Enemy torment and afflict the righteous and not return His\nvengeance on those who have participated in bringing us tribulation?<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Take a look at a prophecy from Isaiah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Isaiah 59:16-21<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>And he saw that there\nwas<\/i> no man, and wondered that there was<\/i> no intercessor: therefore\nhis arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. \u00a0<\/span><\/sup>For he put on righteousness as a\nbreastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the\ngarments of vengeance for<\/i> clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

According to their<\/i> deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury\nto his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay\nrecompense. \u00a0<\/span><\/sup>So shall they\nfear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the\nsun. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the\nLORD shall lift up a standard against him. \u00a0<\/span><\/sup>And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and\nunto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. <\/o:p><\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n

As for me, this is<\/i> my covenant with them, saith the LORD;\nMy spirit that is<\/i> upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth,\nshall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of\nthe mouth of thy seed\u2019s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and forever.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Does\nthat look in any way as though the Lord will not execute judgment on those\nenemies who attack and persecute His people?\u00a0\n<\/span>The attacks are going to come.\u00a0\n<\/span>The persecution is going to come.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

David\ndescribes it like this.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Psalm 34:15-22<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>The eyes of the LORD are<\/i>\nupon the righteous, and his ears are open<\/i> unto their cry.\u00a0 <\/span>The face of the LORD is<\/i> against them\nthat do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.\u00a0 <\/span>The righteous<\/i> cry, and the LORD\nheareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The\nLORD is<\/i> nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth<\/span> such as be of a contrite spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>Many are<\/i> the afflictions of the\nrighteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.\u00a0 <\/span>He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is\nbroken.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Evil\nshall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.\u00a0 <\/span>The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants:\nand none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Are you seeing the\ntheme?\u00a0 <\/span>It repeats hundreds and hundreds\nof times in the Word.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Many are the\nafflictions of the righteous\u2026<\/span>.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Do you see all the\ndifferent terms to describe tribulation?\u00a0\n<\/span>Start counting.\u00a0 <\/span>You\u2019ll run out of\ntime!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cThe\nrighteous cry\u2026\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201c\u2026a broken heart\u2026\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201c..afflictions of the righteous..\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201c\u2026all their troubles\u2026\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201c..persecutions and tribulation..\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201c..afflictions and distress\u2026\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201c..the tempter have tempted you\u2026\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201c..without were fightings<\/span>, within were\nfears..\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201c\u2026all your mourning..\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Got\nit?\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>\u201cIn the world, you\nshall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n
