\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThroughout Scripture, we see numbers
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trepeated again and again and again. 
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhat most folks miss is that these
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnumbers are metaphors in Hebrew with
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpictures that go well beyond the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsurface.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhen John wrote, <\/span>\u201cAnd
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tI John saw the holy city, New
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJerusalem, coming down from God out
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof heaven, prepared as a bride
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tadorned for her husband,\u201d<\/span> <\/span>the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tangel of the Lord was showing him
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe same thing that Ezekiel had seen
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tin a vision.  It was not a city in
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe sense of a physical or
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tgeographical place; it was the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tensample of a principle: a principle
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twhich strikes at the very heart of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tall that the Lord has been doing in
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tour midst.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe mathematical revelations of this
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcity are, individually and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcollectively, inescapable proofs of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe calling, the preparation, and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe final adornment of us as a
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpeople for Jesus Christ.  As John
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twas carried about the city in the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSpirit, he saw the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t1)<\/span><\/b>  <\/span>And
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t[it] had a wall great and high, and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thad twelve<\/u> gates,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tback to two earlier pictures in
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRevelation which parallel this
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpicture of the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn Revelation 7:3 – 4, 14, John
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdescribes hearing an angel cry,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cDo
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnot harm the earth or the sea or the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttrees, until we have sealed the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbond-servants of our God on their
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tforeheads.\u2019  And I heard the number
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof those who were sealed, one
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thundred and forty-four thousand
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsealed from every tribe of the sons
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof Israel\u2026\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u201c\u2026And he said to me, \u2018These are the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tones who have come through great
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttribulation, and they have washed
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttheir robes and made them white in
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe blood of the Lamb.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThen John describes a second group
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof 144,000 (see Revelation 14:1). <\/i><\/b><\/span> <\/span>\u201cAnd
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tI looked, and behold, the Lamb was
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tstanding on Mount Zion, and with Him
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tone hundred and forty-four thousand,
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thaving His <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/span>,
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand the <\/span>onoma<\/span><\/span> of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHis Father written on their
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tforeheads.  And I heard a voice from
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\theaven, like the sound of many
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twaters and like the sound of loud
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthunder, and the voice which I heard
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twas like the sound of harpists
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tplaying on their harps.  And they
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsang a new song before the throne
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand before the four living creatures
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand the elders; and no one could
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tlearn the song except the one
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thundred and forty-four thousand who
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thad been purchased from the earth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHave you ever considered the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsignificance of this number, 144? 
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIt is twelve in its completeness: 12
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tX 12, twelve squared, twelve
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcompleted and fulfilled.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAs you will easily remember, we have
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdiscussed the number, 12, and its
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsignificance on numerous occasions
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tover the years.  Twelve is the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnumber of <\/span>Ekklesia<\/span><\/span>. 
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIt is the number of preparation and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tprocessing.  It is the number of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttribulation and affliction.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTwelve in atomic physics, as we have
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpreviously noted, is the maximum
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnumber of atoms which can be
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcohesively related one to another. 
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIt is the number of relationship.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhen Jesus chose His disciples, He
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tchose twelve \u2013 not nine or ten or
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthirteen or fourteen.  Why?  Because
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tit was the maximum number of people
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twith whom He could develop an
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tinterpersonal, intimate
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trelationship.  It was the maximum
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnumber of people (units, actually;
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twhere we define a family as a unit \u2013
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnot just the father or the husband)
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twith whom a relationship of trust,
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttransparency, openness, faith and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tlove could develop without becoming
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twatered down or diminished.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTwelve was the maximum number of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tindividuals who could relate one to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tanother without becoming divided
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tinto cliques or private little
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcircles.  It was the perfect number
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof trust and transparency.  Within
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe framework of twelve,
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trelationships could develop in which
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbarriers of distrust and fear could
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbe dissolved.  Processing and change
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcould take place within the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tindividuals without the fear of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbetrayal.  (OK, I know the original
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttwelve had a Judas, but the Lord
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpermitted that so as to fulfill His
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tplan to have a Bride, free from the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbondage of the Serpent.  The apostle
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPaul recognized that he was one<\/span> <\/span>\u201cchosen
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tout of due season\u201d<\/span> <\/span>to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\treplace Judas as a completing member
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof the original twelve.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThis picture was initiated with
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIsrael\u2019s selection as the first
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBride in the earth.  Jacob had
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttwelve sons, each of whom
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trepresented one\/twelfth of the whole
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBride.  Some have erroneously
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tconcluded that there were thirteen
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttribes because of the half-tribes of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJoseph: Ephraim and Manasseh, but
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEphraim was chosen to take the place
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof Levi, whose inheritance was the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLord \u2013 not land and holdings as did
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\teach of the other tribes.  Levi was
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tinstructed to live amongst the other
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttribes, being a separate yet joined
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpeople who existed entirely as a
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tchannel of communication between the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBridegroom and this corporate Bride.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAnyway, John sees two distinct
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tgroups of 144,000.  The first is
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttaken from the twelve tribes of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIsrael.  The second was \u201cpurchased
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfrom among men\u201d (in the larger sense
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof the earth).  Why two groups
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tinstead of one?<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRemember the first Bride in the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tearth: the Bride who chose the flesh
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand the Law instead of the intimate
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trelationship being offered by God? 
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThat Bride was Israel.  Here is an
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\textraordinary picture of the Spirit
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof Grace and Supplications, of whom
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tZechariah prophesied.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThough Israel had been divorced by
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe Lord, though she had been \u201csent
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\taway\u201d into captivity for her
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tadulteries, and even though the Law
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tspecifically forbade remarriage to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tone who had been \u201cput away\u201d (see
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDeuteronomy 24:1-4), the Lord
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpromised that He would once again
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcall Israel to Himself, that He
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twould take her back, divorce, warts
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand all!  He even sent Hosea to live
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe picture of that promise
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tprophetically before Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHosea was instructed to marry <\/span>Gomer<\/span><\/span>,
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ta woman who had been a prostitute,
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand to have children with her.  True
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tto her past life, <\/span>Gomer<\/span><\/span> ran
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\toff from Hosea after several years
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof marriage, and married another
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tman.  Hosea was instructed by the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLord to go and find her and bring
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ther back to himself, and in so doing
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tto say to Israel,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cThou <\/span>shalt<\/span><\/span> abide
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfor me many days; thou <\/span>shalt<\/span><\/span> not
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tplay the harlot, and thou <\/span>shalt<\/span><\/span> not
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbe for another man: so will I also
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbe for thee.  For the children of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIsrael shall abide many days without
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ta king, and without a prince, and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twithout a sacrifice, and without an

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbeen under foreign occupation and

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIsrael\u2019s captivity) and Israel would
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tonce again return to a place of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trelationship with Him, becoming a
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfree people.  Luke quotes Jesus as
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsaying,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cFor
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthere shall be great distress in the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tland, and wrath upon this people. 
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAnd they shall fall by the sword,
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand shall be led away captive into
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tall nations: and Jerusalem shall be
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttrodden down of the Gentiles, until
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe times of the Gentiles be

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpurpose of the Bridegroom from the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbeginning was to permit Israel to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfall away so that He could extend
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHis mercy to the nations, calling
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthem to Himself; and that when the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tday of His mercy and calling to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthose nations is fulfilled, He will
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2013 because of their past disobedience
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2013 now again show mercy to Israel and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcall her to Himself as in the days
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof old.  The promise of the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBridegroom to Israel, therefore, is
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHis Covenant.  In spite of Israel\u2019s
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tadulteries, and her subsequent
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdivorce from the Lord, the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBridegroom\u2019s gifts and calling to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ther are without repentance.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThat this is Truth is evidenced in a
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tstupendous move in today\u2019s Jewish
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcommunity.  When I first began to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twork on this article, I was told
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthat in New York City alone, more
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthan a thousand Jews per
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tday<\/u><\/i> are coming to know Jesus
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tChrist as their Messiah and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBridegroom.  In Israel, in spite of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe media attention to the uprisings
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand problems between the Arab and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJew, hundreds and even thousands of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tboth Arabs and Jews are turning to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJesus Christ with their whole heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJews are forsaking their Judaism and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tlegalistic past in staggering
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnumbers.  Even though the media
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tspotlight is turned on the political
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tconflicts, a spiritual peace is in
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe works which will sweep the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnation of Israel and bring about the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfulfillment of Jesus\u2019 promise. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tI know this doesn\u2019t seem to fit with
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmany of the contemporary
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tinterpretations of \u201cend times,\u201d but
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tit is happening nonetheless!  We are
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tabout to behold a miracle of the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tages as the Lord brings about a
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpeace between brethren: Jews and
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tArabs.  (And, NO, I didn\u2019t grab this
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tout of thin air, or make it up as
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsome kind of new doctrine.  Isaiah
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tprophesied it.  Ezekiel prophesied
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tit.  Jeremiah prophesied it.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJerusalem \u2013 the New Jerusalem \u2013 the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBride of Christ has, as her gates,
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe fulfilled, the completed, the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmade whole Bride drawn from Israel
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand seen in the representation of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\teach of the twelve tribes.  Standing
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbefore each of the twelve gates are
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttwelve angels who sound forth the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcall of the Bridegroom.  But the New
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJerusalem does not only consist of
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJews.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNext week, we\u2019ll wrap up this
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpicture of the New Jerusalem.  Maybe
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthese analogies don\u2019t fit with what
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tyou\u2019ve heard or been taught but I
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twant to stir your spirit and cause
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tyou to rethink things.  Hopefully,
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthis overall picture I\u2019ve been
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdrawing for you of the Call to the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBride by the Bridegroom going forth
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tin the earth today will awaken
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthings in you and cause you to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trealize that the Lord has a grand
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand glorious purpose for His people.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThings are not unfolding in the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttraditional ways we\u2019ve been taught. 
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGod is working in extraordinary ways
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twith folks who are responding.  This
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tis a year of overflow for those who
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twalk in commitment to the Lord Jesus
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tChrist.  It is a year of tremendous
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tchange.  It is a year of spectacular
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdisasters, and a year of spectacular
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tblessings for those who are one with
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\toverflow, perhaps it is time for you
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tto reevaluate your responses to the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLord.  Maybe it is time for you to
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tjunk some doctrines that have kept
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tyou in bondage, doctrines that have
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tkept you from walking in the
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfullness of all that Jesus Christ is
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdoing, saying, and breathing into
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHis called-out people.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout Scripture, we see numbers repeated again and again and again. What most folks miss is that these numbers are metaphors in Hebrew with pictures that go well beyond the surface.

\nWhen John wrote,\u00a0\u201cAnd I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband,\u201d\u00a0the angel of the Lord was showing him the same thing that Ezekiel had seen in a vision. It was not a city in the sense of a physical or geographical place; it was the ensample of a principle: a principle which strikes at the very heart of all that the Lord has been doing in our midst.
