\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Had to stop again in the middle of this discussion we\u2019ve\r\nbeen in for the past couple of weeks. \r\n<\/span>We\u2019ve been in the middle of the Garden experience, and all the issues\r\nthat resulted from Eve first partaking of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and\r\nEvil, and then Adam following instead of utilizing the authority God had given\r\nhim to cancel out Eve\u2019s actions. <\/span>Adam\r\nhad authority to deal with this failure, but he chose human compassion over\r\nspiritual authority. <\/span>That, unfortunately\r\nhas been a problem in the human race ever since.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Anyway, back to our narrative.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

A\r\nfunny thing happened when Adam and Eve ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good\r\nand Evil. <\/span>They were stripped. <\/span>And of course, we know they had no clothes to\r\nbe removed. <\/span>But they were stripped,\r\nnonetheless. <\/span>They were stripped of\r\nTruth. <\/span>They were stripped of\r\nRighteousness. <\/span>They were stripped of the\r\nglory of the Lord. <\/span>And their intimate\r\nrelationship with the Lord was history.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Now,\r\nthey were<\/i><\/b> naked!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Interesting,\r\nisn't it? <\/span>Now Adam and Eve had the very\r\nthing the sages of this world strive for. \r\n<\/span>Now they possessed that quantifiable knowledge men and women the world\r\nover seek for in their colleges, universities and seminaries -- ever\r\nlearning and never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth!<\/b> <\/span>Adam and Eve had given up Truth in exchange\r\nfor knowledge. <\/span>When they got that\r\nknowledge, it robbed them of the throne. \r\n<\/span>It stole their crown. <\/span>It\r\nexchanged the Truth for a lie.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nit left them naked! <\/span>It left them\r\ndefenseless against that old Serpent, Satan, who took them into slavery and\r\nbondage.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Had\r\nthey been naked all that time? <\/span>Not in\r\nGod's eyes. <\/span>Who cares whether knowledge\r\nsees you that way? <\/span>Knowledge --\r\nregardless of how factual it may be -- perpetrates a lie. <\/span>Knowledge robs men and women of\r\nrelationship. <\/span>Knowledge steals love and\r\nintimacy. <\/span>Knowledge deprives God's\r\npeople of love, of power, and of a sound mind. \r\n<\/span>Knowledge brings Fear. <\/span>In this\r\ncase, Adam and Eve were infected with the Fear of Evil, and they reacted to it\r\ninstantly. <\/span>They did what every\r\nrational(?), reasoning member of the human race has done from that day to this\r\nwhen faced with Evil (or whatever is perceived as Evil): they ran and hid\r\nthemselves.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Why\r\nhad they not run and hid before? <\/span>Had the\r\nnatural circumstances changed? <\/span>No! <\/span>But they had. \r\n<\/span>They had traded revelation for knowledge. <\/span>They had been tricked into exchanging the\r\nLife of Truth for the death and lie of knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nthey learned -- the hard way -- that Truth, a loving relationship with the\r\nLord, the Throne, the Crown, and the glory of the Lord were all inextricably,\r\ninseparably woven together. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Without\r\nTruth, there was no throne of God. \r\n<\/span>Without relationship and love, there was no crown for them. <\/span>Knowledge did not <\/b>make them \"as\r\nGod!\" <\/span>It turned them into slaves\r\nheld captive in cruel bondage to a great pretender, the father of all lies, who\r\nwanted the throne for himself.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Because\r\nthe Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil became the focal point for the loss\r\nof relationship with the Lord, it must, of necessity, also be the focal point\r\nat which that relationship was returned.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nJesus' ministry began, therefore, John the Baptist prophesied, <\/span>\"And\r\nnow also the axe is laid unto the root of the tree.\"<\/span> (see Matthew\r\n3:10) <\/span>In so prophesying, he made it\r\nclear that Jesus' purpose was to cut down the Tree of Knowledge, and sever it\r\nat the root.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Because\r\nof the enormous significance of the Tree, and the fact that it caused the death\r\nand downfall of this species of beings specifically created for fellowship with\r\nthe Lord, He chose to lay the axe in such a demonstrable action as would\r\nclearly illustrate for all time his love and desire for His Bride.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\nnext week\u2019s discussion we will share something the Lord gave to me as a\r\nrevelation some years ago. <\/span>I\u2019ve titled\r\nit, \"It is Finished.<\/b>\" <\/span>We\r\nwill discuss the plan set in motion even before the words were spoken, <\/span>\"Let\r\nthere be light.\" <\/span> <\/span>We will talk about the legal significance of\r\nJesus' acts, and how each step represented the gathering together of every\r\naspect of the Serpent's control over the human race.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Consider\r\nthese aspects.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Adam\r\nand Eve ate of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and thus were separated\r\n(evicted, actually) from the Garden, and from their place of intimate\r\nrelationship with the Lord. <\/span>That removal\r\ncondemned their seed to being perpetually infected with the \"Knowledge\r\nVirus,\" and with it, the death incorporated into its very essence. <\/span>Until Jesus' birth, no human being on the\r\nface of the earth had ever been born who was not infected. <\/span>Jesus, by virtue of His spiritual genetics,\r\nalthough He was born of a woman, did not carry in His flesh the proclivity for\r\n\"knowledge.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Being\r\nborn of a woman qualified Him as a genuine member of the human race. <\/span>Having the genesis of the Holy Spirit in His\r\nDNA, He also had -- in His human form -- all of the qualities of His Throne in\r\nthe Heavenlies, and the rulership and authority which went with that place of\r\ndominion. <\/span>It was imperative -- for the\r\nsake of His Bride-to-be -- that this dominion be worked in His being as a\r\nhuman. <\/span>It was critical and necessary\r\nthat He put down the knowledge of good, and the knowledge of evil, and that He\r\nrule over the tendency of the flesh to be lured by the lust for knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

He\r\nmust of necessity squash \"under His feet\" human reasoning and\r\nrationale by responding only to the dictates of His Father. <\/span>And He did! \r\n<\/span>Jesus could therefore freely state, <\/span>\"I do nothing of\r\nmyself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. <\/span>And He that sent me is with me: the Father\r\nhath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please Him.\" <\/span>(see John\r\n8:28-29) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nword, \"please,\" is of great significance in the Greek text. <\/span>The word used here is: arestos<\/span><\/i><\/b>. \r\n<\/span>We define arestos <\/span><\/i><\/b>(which\r\ncomes from the root word, aresko<\/span><\/i><\/b>)\r\nas much more than just to please. <\/span>It\r\nmeans: to be in agreement with; to accommodate one's self to the opinions,\r\ndesires, and interests of (the intended individual). <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hence,\r\n\"to please\" is not to merely acquiesce to someone's wishes and\r\ndesires -- even if you don't necessarily completely agree. <\/span>Arestos<\/span><\/i><\/b>is\r\nto be in a place of complete unity and agreement, and to therefore\r\n\"please,\" or \"bring pleasure,\" through the active\r\nfulfillment of those opinions, desires and interests.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Being\r\nin that place of complete unity and agreement with the Father meant that He was\r\nin complete agreement with the Throne of the Universe, and was therefore acting\r\non its behalf. <\/span>As a result, He could\r\nwalk and talk -- in human form -- and at the same time function from the\r\nThrone, ruling, and overruling the flesh, the emotions, the lust for the\r\nknowledge of good and evil, that old serpent Satan, and every evil spirit\r\npitted against Him.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jesus\r\nwalked as the personification of perfect agreement, perfect sumphoneo<\/span><\/i><\/b> -- perfect accord <\/b>-- with\r\nthe Father, and with the Holy Spirit, Who would shortly come to fulfill His\r\nbidding in the preparation of His long awaited Bride. <\/span>How did He do this? <\/span>It was simple! <\/span>Though He walked in human flesh, He lived<\/i>\r\nin the realm of the Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\r\nunion, that accord, that agreement -- that place of demonstrated authority --\r\nall existed because He lived<\/i> in the realm of the Spirit. <\/span>Let me explain.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nJesus visited that day with the Samaritan woman at the well, and she began to\r\ntalk about worship, relating to worship in a physical sense with physical acts\r\nin a geographical place, Jesus stopped her with this statement.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

John 4:22-24, NASB<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span><\/span>\"You worship\r\nthat which you do not know.............But an hour is coming, and now is<\/u>,\r\nwhen the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such\r\npeople the Father seeks to be His worshipers. \r\n<\/span>God is a spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit\r\nand truth.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\npoint He makes is that worship is neither a physical act, nor a function in a physical\r\nor geographical place. <\/span>Worship is not\r\nthe doing of things<\/i><\/b>. \r\n<\/span>Worship is not something which occurs in a church or a synagogue. <\/span>Worship is not even the doing of things which\r\nplease the Father. <\/span>Although true worship\r\nwill certainly result in our doing things which please Him, it is a place of\r\nunion, a place of intimate love in the Spirit<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Allow\r\nme to take a quick jump to the subject I want to explore in more detail next\r\nweek. <\/span>God with me to the book of\r\nRevelation.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Revelation 10:7<\/span><\/u><\/b>: \r\n<\/span><\/span>\u201c\u2026.In the days of the sound of the seventh angel, when he is\r\nabout to blow the trumpet, then shall also the mystery of God be finished, as\r\nHe promised and gladly announced to His bond-servants, the prophets.\u201d <\/span><\/span>(RAC Translation & Amplification)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\norder to grasp the significance of that which the Lord is doing, and has done\r\n-- in and through us<\/b> -- we must return to the scene which took place at\r\nthe Cross. <\/span>Bear in mind that Jesus'\r\ndeath on the Cross was the fulfillment of a plan set in motion before time\r\nbegan -- set in motion before time began -- \r\n<\/span>before Adam and Eve were created.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Before\r\nwe revisit the scene at the Cross, however, let us examine for a moment the\r\nPlan of both the Father and the Son.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Creation\r\nwas set in motion for the exclusive purpose of bringing into being, nurturing,\r\nand bringing forth to maturity a Bride, who would be the co-equal counterpart\r\nof the Lord Jesus Christ. <\/span>Satan's\r\ndeception of Adam and Eve in the Garden was no surprise to God. <\/span>It didn't catch Him off guard. <\/span>Father, Son and Holy Spirit, all knew before\r\ncreation even began that Adam and Eve would succumb to the enticement of the\r\nSerpent to eat of the Tree of Knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

<\/span>The Garden of Eden, along with all of its\r\ndelights, and the Tree of Life -- and the Tree of The Knowledge of Good and\r\nEvil -- were created as the initiating place within a kind of laboratory, if\r\nyou will. <\/span>It was the environment in\r\nwhich this unique species of being -- mankind -- would be given its first\r\nopportunity to choose relationship and union with the Lord by a freewill\r\nchoice<\/b>. <\/span>A Bride, after all, who was\r\nto become co-equal with the Lord Jesus Christ -- a Bride who was to be His\r\ncounterpart, His other self; a was to fellowship in a place of love and\r\nintimacy with this Being who was both Lord, King, and God incarnate -- must<\/b>,\r\nof necessity, choose Him<\/b> and His desires to the setting aside of all\r\nother choices<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Pardon\r\nme if I seem to repeat what I\u2019ve already said, but this picture is important\r\nfor us to grasp in our spirits.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nGarden contained the first opportunity for choice: The Tree of Life, or the\r\nTree of Knowledge. <\/span>This would be the\r\nmost important choice mankind could make, since to choose the Tree of Life\r\nwould be to choose the desire of the Lord over the temptation of the\r\nflesh. <\/span>To choose the Tree of the\r\nKnowledge of Good and Evil would set in motion events which, if left unchecked,\r\ncould bring an end to the entire plan of Creation.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

To\r\nchoose the Tree of Knowledge would initiate the deadliest virus anyone could\r\npossibly imagine within the human frame: the \"Knowledge Virus.\" <\/span>This virus would bring death to virtually\r\nevery member of the human race. <\/span>It would\r\nalso create and set in motion a <\/span>series\r\nof events which would force those who desired relationship with the Lord to\r\novercome <\/span>spiritual forces pitted\r\nagainst them -- evil spirits and wicked principalities who would take up\r\ndominion over the whole earth, whose entire existence revolved around defeating\r\nthe heart's desire of the Lord Jesus Christ. These would be spiritual forces\r\nwhich could only be overcome in the place of union with the Lord. <\/span>It would also force mankind to overcome\r\nmountainous obstacles which were designed to entice, subvert, and attract the\r\ndesires of human flesh and human will.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nchoice, as I said before, was the most important choice to ever face\r\nmankind. <\/span>To choose the Tree of Life,\r\nafter being given the opportunity to choose the Tree of Knowledge, its\r\nenticements and delights, would be equivalent to a <\/span>total rejection of the legitimacy of Satan\r\nand his lies. <\/span>To reject the Tree of\r\nKnowledge would be to overcome the screaming of the flesh for creature comforts\r\nand tasty goodies. <\/span>It would be\r\ntantamount to questioning the Serpent,<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cSince when do you dispute the veracity and validity of\r\nGod\u2019s word? <\/span>By what arrogance do youassume\r\nthat your statements and claims are on a par with the Lord God? <\/span>You are a created being like us \u2013 not THE\r\nCREATOR!.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Wow! <\/span>The consequences of such a response and\r\nchoice would have forever sealed the destiny of the human race. <\/span>It would have instantly sealed the fate of\r\nthat old Serpent, Lucifer, and rejected the validity of his existence. <\/span>He would have been a non-entity, as far as\r\nthe human race was concerned. The seed of Adam and Eve would have been born\r\ninto this world with that choice of the Tree of Life veritably ingrained and\r\nincorporated into their genetic structure. \r\n<\/span>Relationship with the Lord would have been the natural and automatic\r\nchoice of their descendants.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hmmmmmm. <\/span>It didn't work out that way, did it? <\/span>Adam and Eve blew it! <\/span>They chose the Tree of <\/span>Knowledge. \r\n<\/span>They bought into the Serpent's lies and insinuations, believing that\r\n\"knowledge\" would put them on a par with the Lord God. <\/span>Somehow they had forgotten that they had been\r\ncreated to be in union with the Lord -- that in the place of that <\/span>union, their strength, their power, their\r\nauthority, their very existence superseded the most sagacious argument <\/span>Satan could bethink. <\/span>They missed the fact that the wisdom of God\r\nfunctioning in them surpassed the Serpent\u2019s most inventive artifice.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Yup! <\/span>But it didn't, as I said before, take God by\r\nsurprise. <\/span>The Plan had already taken\r\ntheir choice into account. <\/span>They were\r\ngoing to have to overcome incredible spiritual obstacles. <\/span>They were going to have to overcome the\r\nthirst in their souls and minds -- no, a force which would absolutely rule\r\ntheir beings -- for more, and more, and more, and more knowledge. <\/span>So long as they succumbed to this quest for\r\nknowledge, they would forever learn, and learn, and learn, and learn, and never<\/b>\r\ncome to the knowledge of the Truth<\/b>!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Knowledge\r\nwould lead them, and their descendants -- the human race as a whole -- to wrong\r\nconclusions. <\/span>Knowledge would steer men\r\nand women down a path which would lead them to conclude that man had somehow\r\nevolved out of the primordial goo -- the chaos which existed on this planet\r\nprior to present Creation. <\/span>Knowledge\r\nwould lead men and women to discover......Science! <\/span>And their minds would become further mucked\r\nup because they would fail to realize that \"science\" is the domain of\r\nthe Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ, who set all of these things in motion.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Men\r\nwould use science improperly by attempting to gain knowledge through the study\r\nof history, the study of geology, the study of the laws of physics, the study\r\nof mathematics, and the study of the human frame itself. <\/span>They would pursue that study to the very\r\nexclusion of the scientific domain which controls the realm of the soul, and\r\nthe realm of the mind, and the realm of the flesh. <\/span>This domain controls the realm of every natural\r\nthing which exists -- whether past, present or future. <\/span>It is the realm and the domain of the\r\nSpirit<\/b>!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

If\r\nit seems like I\u2019m messing with you, stand by! \r\n<\/span>It\u2019s only going to get worse! \r\n<\/span>More to come.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
