RULING AND REIGNING\r\nWITH GOD<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Part 10<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

October 2, 2020<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

This week we will wrap up this series of legal actions that\r\nwere necessary for us to come into the place of having the authority of the\r\nLord Jesus Christ, having access to all the authority of the Heavens. <\/span>We were destined for rulership before the\r\nfirst words of Creation were spoken. \r\n<\/span>You\u2019ll remember the words that were spoken over Adam when he was first\r\ncreated and the Lord breathed His breath into Adam.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Genesis 1:27-28<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span><\/span><\/b>So God created man in\r\nhis own<\/i> image, in the image of God created he him; male and female\r\ncreated he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and\r\nmultiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the\r\nfish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that\r\nmoveth upon the earth.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

You see the operative word, don\u2019t you? <\/span>\u201c\u2026.replenish the earth and subdue it: have\r\ndominion.\u201d <\/span>That\u2019s what we were brought\r\ninto this world for to begin with, and that\u2019s what Jesus restored to us! <\/span>Let\u2019s get back to our narrative.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

There\r\nwent forth a knowing in Jesus' spirit at the age of 30 that the second legal\r\naction had been accomplished, and that the third was about to commence. <\/span>He thereupon journeyed into a desert place to\r\nfind His earthly cousin, John the Baptist, who was the first prophet Israel had\r\nheard and seen in some 400 years, and instructed John to baptize Him in the\r\nriver Jordan. <\/span>With the water still\r\ndripping from His head, and His clothing soaked, Jesus began to step from the river. <\/span>As He did, a thunderous voice spoke out of\r\nHeaven. <\/span>The Holy Spirit appeared as a\r\ndove, seemingly from out of no place, and settled upon His head. <\/span>The voice uttered words which everyone\r\npresent heard, <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"This is My Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

And the third legal action had been accomplished.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Immediately,\r\nthe Holy Spirit caused Jesus to depart into the wilderness where He fasted for\r\nforty days and forty nights. <\/span>Now a\r\ncriterion would be established in the legal case being built against the\r\nSerpent.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Following\r\nthe period of fasting, Satan came to Jesus and raised a question. <\/span>Oddly enough, it was the same core question\r\nhe raised in the Garden when he came to Eve. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be\r\nmade bread<\/span>.\" <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

THIS<\/span><\/b> is the same\r\nquestion he raised with Eve? <\/span>Yes! <\/span>It is the core question -- but only one-third\r\nof it. <\/span>Wait and you will see. <\/span>Jesus' response spelled out precisely how\r\nmankind was to answer any question raised by the Serpent and those of his ilk<\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by\r\nevery word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God!\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

YEEESSSS\r\n! !<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Do\r\nyou get it? <\/span>Man shall not live to\r\nprovide for his flesh. <\/span>Man shall not\r\nlive according to that which is written on stone tablets, or on papyri, or in\r\nbooks. <\/span>Man shall not live according to\r\nthe dictates of other human beings. <\/span>Man\r\nshall live by every word -- every rhema<\/i> -- which proceeds moment by\r\nmoment, second by second, out of the mouth of the Lord God.<\/b> <\/span>That demands relationship -- intimate\r\nrelationship -- a living relationship in which one can hear moment by moment\r\nand second by second that which the Lord isspeaking<\/b>. <\/span>That's not to take away from anything which\r\nHe has said in the past. <\/span>It just cannot\r\nbe the means by which we live a love relationship with Him. <\/span>What he has said in the past will confirm in\r\nsome manner that which He is speaking<\/u>, but it can never be the\r\ndetermination of our response to the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Next,\r\nSatan took Jesus into the city and set Him up on a pinnacle of the temple. <\/span>Jesus has just made it clear to Satan that\r\nman is to live by the word which proceeds (present tense) out of the mouth of\r\nthe Lord -- not what He said, no matter how good or authoritative it was, in\r\nthe past. <\/span>Was Satan dense, or\r\nsomething? <\/span>Or was he just plain\r\nobstinate? <\/span>Anyway, he proceeds to quote\r\nScripture to Jesus, and uses it to tempt Him to act on the basis of the written\r\nword<\/span>, <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is\r\nwritten<\/u>, 'He shall give His angels charge concerning thee: and in their\r\nhands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a\r\nstone.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

That's\r\ntwice Satan has questioned Jesus' validity as the Son of God. <\/span>Don't forget, just before all of this\r\ntranspired, Jesus came up out of the river and the voice of the Father spoke\r\naudibly for everyone to hear, <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"This is My Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.\" <\/span><\/span>Get it? \r\n<\/span>The Father has just said to everyone<\/span>, <\/span>\"This is<\/b>\r\nMy Beloved Son!\" <\/span><\/span>Period! <\/span>End of discussion! <\/span>No question. \r\n<\/span>No doubt. <\/span>It's a settled fact. <\/span>The Father has just certified Jesus\u2019\r\nauthenticity as a member of the Godhead. \r\n<\/span>It is precisely the same question Satan raised with Adam and Eve. <\/span>\"Do you really<\/b> have a\r\nrelationship with God? <\/span>If you really<\/b>\r\nhave a relationship with God, why would He withhold His provision or His\r\nprotection in this area?\"<\/i><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nJesus answered Satan in kind<\/span>, <\/span>\"It is written again, 'Thou shalt not tempt the Lord Thy\r\nGod!\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Once\r\nagain, YEEESSS ! !<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Do\r\nyou understand this response? <\/span>Jesus\r\nhas just spoken his agreement with the word which The Father spoke<\/u> a short\r\ntime before as He came out of the river, and with the written word which\r\nconfirmed that which the Father had just spoken.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

All\r\nright! <\/span>Let's try this one more time.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Next,\r\nSatan takes Jesus into a high mountain to show him all the kingdoms of the\r\nworld and the glory of those kingdoms; then says to Jesus, <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down\r\nand worship me.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Wow! <\/span>Our arrogance is showing, isn't it? <\/span>We want to make sure that Jesus makes\r\nobeisance to Satan. <\/span>It is important that\r\nJesus acknowledges Satan's right to these kingdoms. <\/span>If we can just get Him to yield to Satan\u2019s\r\nwill, or purpose, or suggestions, He\u2019ll be had!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Sorry!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And Jesus seals the fourth legal action<\/span><\/i><\/b> with His response, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt\r\nworship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.\" <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

For\r\nthe third time <\/span>Jesus affirms the fact\r\nthat He <\/span>is \"the Lord thy God,\" <\/span>that it has been said, and it has\r\nbeen written.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"So\r\nlet it be written! <\/span>So let it be done!\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Satan\r\nwas worried. <\/span>He saw that <\/span>Jesus was the first human being who had\r\nstood up to his incessant questioning. \r\n<\/span>Jesus had not bowed in any way to his wishes or desires. <\/span>If this was permitted to go on unchecked,\r\nJesus might just incite other human beings to rebel against his authority. <\/span>That was no big deal because he could always\r\nkill them off. <\/span>Nevertheless, there was\r\nno reason to allow this to continue. <\/span>One\r\nnever knew what Jesus might pull off...........<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nso he planted within the mind of Judas Iscariot -- one of the twelve -- the\r\nidea that Jesus' kingdom should be the restoration of Israel as a nation. <\/span>Now, if we can just get Jesus to agree to\r\ncooperate with the overthrow of the Roman government......Hmmmm.....if it\r\nworks, Jesus will cease to be a threat. \r\n<\/span>If it doesn't, no problem! <\/span>We did\r\nit with Naboth. <\/span>We can do it again. <\/span>We'll just set him up for legal\r\nassassination. <\/span>We'll let the Roman\r\ngovernment take him out as a threat to their government.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

(Of\r\ncourse, you understand that Satan did not let Judas in on this last part of his\r\nplan. <\/span>He wouldn't have cooperated if\r\nhe'd known that the ultimate objective was Jesus' death.)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Sure\r\nenough, Judas sold Jesus out to the chief priests. <\/span>Judas was, after all, the treasurer of this\r\nEkklesia. <\/span>The political implications of\r\nthe resurrection of Israel as an independent nation were not lost on him.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

They\r\nimmediately took Jesus before Herod and Pilate, and arranged a mock trial. <\/span>It was a mock trial because it did not even\r\nconform to Roman Law, much less Jewish Law. \r\n<\/span>If they could just get Jesus to admit that He was the Son of God, they\r\ncould \u2013 legally<\/i> -- put Him to death for blasphemy.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Little\r\ndid they realize that they were all falling into the most stupendous\r\n\"sting\" operation ever laid in place. \r\n<\/span>And....when put on trial, Jesus testified publicly that He was<\/b>\r\nthe Son of God....and sealed the fifth legal action.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Great! <\/span>Now we have Him!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Really?<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Wait a minute! <\/span>Who has who?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nthey nailed Jesus to a cross, hanging Him in open, naked shame before all\r\nIsrael. <\/span>Don't look now, but the trap has\r\njust been sprung! <\/span>And Satan has been\r\ncaught in the trap. <\/span>Watch what happens\r\nnow!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Across\r\nall of time, from the moment the clock first began ticking as Adam and Eve were\r\nushered from the Garden, to the grand finale at the Great <\/span>Judgment Seat, the angelic forces have been\r\nsent to gather together all of the sins of mankind. <\/span>At the same time, they have been sent to\r\ncollect every evil spirit unleashed upon the human race. Together with every\r\nsickness, every affliction, every torment -- even Death himself -- they are\r\nswept inexorably towards the Cross and the dying Bridegroom. <\/span>None will escape! <\/span>With the forces of the four winds blowing\r\nacross the face of the earth, all are brought together to an instant in time --\r\nin the twinkling of an eye. <\/span>Even Satan,\r\nhimself, cannot escape as the four winds converge on the Cross.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jesus\r\nhas been hanging on the cross, His life slowly ebbing away because of the cruel\r\nbeatings and scourging, and the trickling away of His life's blood. <\/span>He has just won the heart of a thief hanging\r\non another cross nearby. <\/span>He is about to\r\nutter the most important words ever spoken in the history of mankind. <\/span>Knowing that the end is near, Jesus catches\r\nthe attention of a nearby centurion. <\/span>He\r\nhas little voice with which to speak, but manages to say,<\/span>\"I\r\nthirst.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ncenturion fills a sponge with vinegar, puts it on some hyssop, then extends it\r\nup to Jesus' mouth to wet his tongue. <\/span>It\r\nwas a nasty trick to use vinegar, but it wouldn't matter. <\/span>Jesus would now be able to speak those\r\nfateful words.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

His\r\nvoice did not ring out with any particular strength. <\/span>No doubt, there were those present who\r\nstrained to understand the words being spoken. \r\n<\/span>Yet, those words carried forth with a victory and a joy Jesus \u2014 even in\r\nhis weakened state \u2014 could hardly restrain. \r\n<\/span>His Plan, set in motion before time began, had worked. <\/span>The enemy, Satan, had fallen into a trap from\r\nwhich he would never escape. <\/span>Jesus was\r\nabout to begin receiving the Bride he had waited for during more than four\r\nmillennia of time.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Listen\r\nto those words come forth! <\/span>Though they\r\nare not loud in terms of human hearing, they will reach to the very throne room\r\nin Heaven. <\/span>Do you hear them?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"It is finished.\"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

What\r\nwas that?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"It is finished.\"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Huh? <\/span>It sounded like He said...\u2026<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"It is finished.\"<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That's\r\nit!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Ahhhh,\r\nbut wait! <\/span>I thought that the charge\r\ncould not stick unless there were at least two witnesses.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\nRiiiighht! <\/span>Now you're getting it!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

O.K.! <\/span>Where's the second witness?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

You\r\nwant to know who the second witness is? \r\n<\/span>Look around you. <\/span>Go and look in\r\nthe mirror.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Do\r\nyou get it, yet?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

With\r\nHis death and resurrection, Jesus made possible an overcoming process for\r\neveryone who desires to be joined to Him.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jesus\r\nlearned obedience through the things which He suffered. <\/span>That same process has been ordained for\r\neveryone who desires to be a part of His Bride. \r\n<\/span>It is called, \"thlipsis.<\/i>\" <\/span><\/span><\/b>It is the same crushing process\r\nwhich was used to render the oil of the olive. \r\n<\/span>It is pressure! <\/span>Tribulation! <\/span>Heat! \r\n<\/span>Fire! <\/span>A furnace so hot it would\r\nwipe out those who do not have a relationship with the Lord, yet it only burns\r\noff the ropes and chains which have held the Bride captive.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

For\r\napproximately two thousand years, a Bride has been coming forth in the earth\r\nwho has gone through exactly the same process Jesus went through. <\/span>This has been the final phase of The\r\nPlan. <\/span>True, most have not had to die on\r\na cross -- Jesus took care of that aspect. \r\n<\/span>Nevertheless, this Bride has suffered the attacks of the flesh, the\r\ntorment of the mind and emotions, persecution from false brethren, false\r\naccusations, along with the continuous assaults of Satan and his minions.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nBride has had to accomplish after the Spirit what Israel was commanded after\r\nthe flesh to fulfill: the utter destruction and decimation of the seven nations\r\n-- the seven ruling spirits of the enemy in the earth. <\/span>These are the seven mountains upon which that\r\ngreat whore, Jezebel, (also called \"Babylon\") has been seated,\r\nenticing the people of God and leading them to destruction through\r\nreligion. <\/span>And indeed, the Bride has\r\ndecimated those former principalities and rulers of the darkness of this world.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nBride has overcome the weaknesses of the flesh, being literally transformed\r\ninto a counterpart for the Lord Jesus Christ -- one who is Supernaturally\r\nnatural, and naturally supernatural<\/i>.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This Bride has risen above death itself,\r\ntaking authority over death, and standing against and restraining the forces of\r\ndeath -- all the while seizing life on behalf of her children. <\/span>She has overcome every lie and deceit of\r\nSatan. <\/span>She has learned to reject\r\n\"study.\" <\/span>She has learned to\r\nreject \"knowledge.\" <\/span>She has\r\nlearned to eat only from the Tree of Life.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This Bride, this counterpart, this\r\n\"other self\" of the Lord Jesus Christ has learned to prevail in\r\nbattle against the accuser of the brethren. \r\n<\/span>This Bride has learned to rule in peace, even in the midst of chaos.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

\r\nThis Bride has learned what it means to\r\nworship in the Spirit. <\/span>The Lord has\r\nbecome her number one priority in life<\/b> -- pleasing His every desire,\r\nresponding to even the slightest indication of His yearning.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Do\r\nyou get it now? <\/span>When Holy Spirit began\r\nto unravel and reveal this process to me, it was breathtaking! <\/span>Now you understand how and why we get to rule\r\nand reign with Jesus Christ! <\/span>The legal\r\nrequirements for that rulership have been established. <\/span>They are engraved in the courts of Heaven.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nremains for us learn, to receive from the Holy Spirit, to endure the processing\r\nthat MUST take place \u2013 the thlipsis. \r\n<\/span>Remember what we\u2019ve already shared in the past? <\/span>Look at what Paul wrote to Timothy! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

II Timothy 2:15-17<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span><\/span>Be instantly\r\nresponsive to the Lord, making yourself available to Him in the midst of the\r\ncrucible, a tried and tested laborer who has no fear of being examined \u2013 one\r\nwho, by virtue of God\u2019s testing and the time spent in the crucible with Him,\r\nknows the proven Word of Truth.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Stand aloof from, and avoid the untested, untried \u201cword\u201d which\r\ncomes forth from those who would propagate speculation and create their own\r\ndoctrines. <\/span>These profane speculations\r\nand so-called \u201cwords\u201d are empty babblings which will only serve to advance\r\nungodliness;<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And those who spread these doctrines will only yield a gangrene\r\npasture \u2013 a source of poison to those who ingest their \u201cword\u201d\u2026.. <\/span>and we point out Hymenaeus and Philetus as\r\nexamples.<\/span>(RAC\r\nTranslation & Amplification)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\u2019m\r\ngoing to leave it there today. <\/span>Next\r\nweek, we will return to the discussion we were pursuing prior to looking at\r\nthis legal process necessary for us to rule and reign with Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
