\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

This whole topic of death cancellation is one that is hard for\r\nmany Christians to swallow.\u00a0 <\/span>Even though\r\nit is so clear throughout the Word, the death culture is deeply embedded in our\r\nculture and our mindsets.\u00a0 <\/span>It takes a\r\nreal leap of faith for us to accept this, and having done so, it next becomes the\r\ntransforming and renewing of our minds in order for it to become life to us.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Here\u2019s what Paul writes to the Philippians.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Philippians\r\n3:13-14<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>It isn\u2019t as though I\u2019ve already been able to seize for myself\r\nand get ahold of a full and complete revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ and\r\nthe power of His resurrection; and what I have<\/i><\/b> attained to is far\r\nfrom a matured and seasoned understanding or revelation: but I am in total\r\npursuit of that revelation that Jesus Christ has put before me, has destined me\r\nfor and purposed in my life.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

My brothers and sisters, despite that which I do have in\r\nrevelation, I consider myself as having a long ways to go; nevertheless, this\r\nis what I do, am doing, and will do:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Forgetting all of the past: my knowledge of the Law, the life I\r\nonce had, the esteem of my erstwhile brethren, my former marriage, and all I\r\npossessed \u2014 and it is erased from my consciousness and pursuit, having been\r\nrelegated to oblivion \u2014 and stretching my mind, my thoughts and my purposes\r\ntoward that which Christ has for me, I vigorously pursue the goal of that full\r\nrevelation, and the mark, that knowledge of having achieved that high and\r\ncompleted calling of God \u2014 that same revelation of Jesus, and the dynamic and\r\nexplosive, creative power which manifested in His resurrection from the\r\ndead.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(RAC Translation\r\n& Amplification)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Are\r\nwe good, so far?\u00a0 <\/span>Try this one on!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nCorinthians 15:51-57<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Let\r\nme give you something that you can see with your spiritual eyes \u2014 a thing which\r\nhas been hidden from natural discernment which I now reveal to you; we are not\r\nall headed for death and the grave, but we will \u2014 all of us \u2014 transform.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In an \u201catom\u201d of time, in that same split second that the eye\r\nblinks, at the sound and reverberation of the final sound of the trumpet: for\r\nthe trumpet shall sound a blast (both literally and figuratively), and those\r\nwho are dead \u2014 both literally as corpses, and as flesh and blood with the sentence\r\nof death hanging over them \u2014will be roused and awakened with all decay in their\r\nexistence eradicated for all eternity.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

What has been decaying and subject to decay must, of necessity,\r\ncease for all time; where we have once been mortals and subject to death,\r\ndisease, sickness and weakness now changes so that we become immortals\r\n(restored to that image and likeness we were first created for).<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Therefore, when this perishable existence now transforms into an\r\nunending, immortal existence, then we will see brought to pass the old saying\r\nthat was written, \u201cDeath (and dying) have been engulfed and consumed by\r\nconquest and victory \u2014 totally vanquished.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cOh, death, where is your poison; where is the power of your pin\r\nprick?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The poison and pin prick of death is sin \u2014 offenses against God:\r\nand the dynamic force of sin is embodied in the Law.\u00a0 <\/span>But, thanks and grace be to Father God who\r\ntotally vanquishes sin through our Lord Jesus Christ!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Therefore, my dear and beloved brothers and sisters, be\r\nabsolutely steadfast, settled and immovable, always excelling and\r\nsuper-abounding in the labors and direction of the Lord, knowing without\r\nquestion that your toil, your pains, your trouble and your weariness is not\r\nwasted, empty and in vain in the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(RAC\r\nTranslation & Amplification)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And,\r\nfinally, for today, Paul\u2019s statement to the Colossians.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Colossians\r\n2:13-15<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>And you, having become a corpse because of your errors and\r\nlapses towards God\u2014 both intentional and unintentional \u2014 along with the fact\r\nthat you were living outside of the Covenant, has Jesus reanimated with\r\nHimself, brought back to life and canceled the sentence of death hanging over\r\nyou, having forgiven you of all transgressions, <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Obliterating all of the laws and ordinances that were written\r\nagainst us so as to define sin in us, and everything that was written to define\r\nus negatively; He removed all impediments against us and nailed them to His\r\nCross.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And, having divested Himself wholly and completely [of all\r\npossible influence] of archangels and demonic authorities, as well as\r\ncontrolling individuals operating with demonic power, Jesus loudly and\r\ntriumphantly publicly put on a show of His victory over them.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(RAC Translation &\r\nAmplification)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nhere\u2019s a variation on the translation of verse 13:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cHe re-animated [us] con-jointly with Him; and at the same time\r\nobliterated, demolished and wiped totally clean the decrees of judgment (and\r\naccompanying sentence of death) that had been written against us.\u201d<\/span>(RAC\r\nTranslation & Amplification)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Resurrection of the\r\nDead IS a foundation truth and principle that we must lay hold of. We have to\r\nsee and understand this as much more than a spiritual event. Of course the\r\nspiritual aspect of it is critical! It is the restoration of our relationship\r\nand interdimensional walk with the Lord through-out the eternity of the\r\neternities. But in order for it to have force NOW in this present day and time,\r\nwe have to see it as Resurrection from the sentence of death. Death cannot be a\r\nconsideration for us. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The subconscious\r\nbelief that we must die now impedes our ability to believe that we can raise\r\nthe dead just as Jesus did. And, please, don\u2019t anyone think I\u2019m saying that a\r\nperson absolutely must believe in physical death cancellation before they can\r\nraise the dead. We have far too many examples of folks in bygone eras and moves\r\nof God who did raise the dead. But God is bringing His people beyond the old\r\nmindset and understanding.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

There are current\r\nexamples of people living today who have grasped this principle and have been\r\nalive for hundreds of years. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nJesus hung on the Cross, His last words were, \u201cIt is Finished!\u201d Blood and water\r\ncame from His side when the centurion pierced His side. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

What\r\nwas finished? Sin and death! <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

What\r\ncame forth from His side? A new birth! A Bride who would live and demonstrate\r\nHis Life to the world!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let\u2019s\r\nshift gears now, and move on the the principle of Eternal Judgment.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Isaiah\r\n4:3-4, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>\u201c<\/span><\/b>And it shall come to\r\npass, that he that is<\/i> left in Zion, and he that<\/i> remaineth in\r\nJerusalem, shall be called holy, even<\/i> every one that is written among\r\nthe living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the\r\ndaughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the\r\nmidst thereof by the spirit of judgment<\/u>, and by the spirit of burning<\/u>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\norder for us to properly understand the concept of judgment and see what Paul\r\nwas making reference to in his letter to the Jewish Christians, we need to\r\nfirst define the words that are translated \u201cjudgment.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Taking\r\nthe Old Testament Hebrew first, we find the word, mishpat<\/span><\/i><\/b> and its root word, shaphat<\/span><\/i><\/b>.\u00a0 <\/span>The word, mishpat<\/span><\/i><\/b>,\r\nrefers specifically to a <\/span>judicial verdict \u2014 a sentence or formal decree within\r\ndivine law<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nroot word \u2014 shaphat<\/span><\/i><\/b> \u2014 adds more\r\ncolor to our definition, however and allows us to see the character of this\r\nsentence or formal decree within divine law.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>It has the picture of litigating or\r\nreasoning between right and wrong and either vindicating someone or judging and\r\nexecuting punishment.\u00a0 <\/span>It also means to\r\nplead and\/or defend. <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Then\r\nwe come to the Greek terms used in the New Testament.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Again\r\nwe have a primary word, krima<\/span><\/i><\/b>,\r\nand its root word, krino<\/span><\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ntwo Greek words nearly parallel the Hebrew terms, but both also add to the\r\noverall picture of \u201ceternal judgment.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Krima <\/span><\/i><\/b>is also defined as ajudicial verdict \u2014 a sentence or formal decree within\r\ndivine law,<\/span><\/b> but to that we add the following: condemnation of wrong, a condemnatory sentence, the\r\ndecision (whether severe or mild) which one passes on the faults of others.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Krino<\/span><\/i><\/b> literally means: to separate, to choose, to determine between right and\r\nwrong, to set things right<\/u>.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nalso means: to rule and to govern, to preside\r\nover (as the prerogative of kings and rulers) with the power of giving judicial\r\ndecisions, to determine, to resolve and decree<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let\u2019s\r\nconsider for a minute the Biblical picture of judgment from statements that\r\nJesus made.\u00a0 <\/span>In what is popularly\r\nreferred to as \u201cThe Sermon on the Mount\u201d Jesus draws some contrasts in\r\njudgment.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Matthew\r\n7:1-6, NASB<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cDo not judge so that you will not be judged.\r\nFor in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure,\r\nit will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck that is in your\r\nbrother\u2019s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Or how can you say to your brother, \u2018Let me take the speck out\r\nof your eye,\u2019 and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take\r\nthe log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck\r\nout of your brother\u2019s eye.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cDo not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls\r\nbefore swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you\r\nto pieces.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\n\u201cSermon on the Mount\u201d is literally a picture of the character <\/span>and <\/span>nature\r\nof the Lord Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>It is\r\naddressed to those who would follow the Lord and be transformed into Him and\r\nHis image and nature.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nJesus, therefore, first addresses the concept of judgment as a divine attribute\r\n(and we know this from Isaiah\u2019s prophecy where he refers to the Spirit of\r\nJudgment and Burning), He applies this to the believer, warning against the\r\nmisuse of this attribute.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nare warned not to use the power and authority of judgment [we ARE kings and\r\npriests unto God] casually and flippantly.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

\r\nWhen we remember that the sum of the Seven Spirits of God is agape<\/span><\/i><\/b> \u2014 love \u2014 it places a requirement on us\r\nto make our judgments in love and not from a reactionary place.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\nHis statement to not \u201cgive what is holy to dogs,\u201d this remark is still made\r\nwithin the discussion on judgment, and he describes the rendering of judgment\r\nas \u201choly.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Judgment, therefore, as a\r\nholy rendering of God\u2019s decrees and \u201csetting things right\u201d takes on an entirely\r\nnew dimension.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Because\r\njudgment is holy, this takes it entirely out of the realm of personal feeling,\r\nor emotional, reactionary responses to events which occur to us as\r\nindividuals.\u00a0 <\/span>There is NOTHING about the\r\nrendering and\/or speaking of judgment that is permissible as a byproduct of\r\npersonal offenses.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Within\r\nthe framework of judgment and its judicial sentencing or decrees is the\r\ninherent ability to condemn.\u00a0 <\/span>For the\r\nbeliever who is not in tune with the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ, and is\r\noperating even slightly in the realm of the flesh (let\u2019s insert emotional\r\nresponses and reactions here), the ability to speak judgment from the aspect of\r\ncondemning is almost a certainty.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

All\r\nof a sudden our judgment becomes cursing, and the consequences to us for\r\nspeaking or activating that judgment begin to multiply.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

As\r\na holy attribute of the character and nature of the Lord Jesus Christ, judgment\r\nhas eternal consequences.\u00a0 <\/span>Consider some\r\nof the judgments we see throughout the New Testament:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Matthew\r\n6:13<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For\r\nthine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen<\/u><\/span>.<\/span><\/u><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Matthew\r\n21:19<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found\r\nnothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on\r\nthee henceforward for ever<\/u>. And presently the fig tree withered away.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

John\r\n6:51<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man\r\neat of this bread, he shall live for ever<\/u>: and the bread that I will give\r\nis my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

John\r\n6:58<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your\r\nfathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live\r\nfor ever<\/u>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

II\r\nCorinthians 9:9<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to\r\nthe poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever<\/u>. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Each\r\nof the foregoing statements in the Word are judgments \u2014 eternal judgments.\u00a0 <\/span>Each has its own unique nature.\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus\u2019 judgment against the fig tree caused\r\nthe life to leave it such that it withered away.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u00a0 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\npromises that Jesus makes concerning eating of His flesh are not just promises:\r\nthey are judgments with an eternal character to them \u2014 and consequences that\r\ncause God\u2019s people to sit up and take notice. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Now\r\ntake a look at a different kind of judgment:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

II\r\nPeter 2:1-2, 12-17<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\r\n<\/span><\/span>But there were false prophets also among the people, even as\r\nthere shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable\r\nheresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves\r\nswift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of\r\nwhom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and\r\ndestroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly\r\nperish in their own corruption;\u00a0 <\/span>And\r\nshall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as<\/i> they that count it pleasure\r\nto riot in the day time. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Spots they are<\/i> and blemishes, sporting themselves with\r\ntheir own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery,\r\nand that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have\r\nexercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the\r\nright way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son<\/i> of\r\nBosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his\r\niniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man\u2019s voice forbad the madness of the\r\nprophet. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a\r\ntempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nis an eternal judgment which clearly states that the \u201cmist of darkness\u201d has\r\nbeen reserved \u201cfor ever\u201d for those who speak in the name of the Lord (but NOT\r\nHis onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b>!) whose mouths speak\r\nlies our of their own pride and ignorance.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>This is both a judgment and a prophetic picture.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nforetells a judgment similar to that of which Jesus spoke when He referred on a\r\ncouple of occasions to the invitation to the Great Wedding Feast, and again to\r\nthose desiring to enter the realm of the Kingdom without being willing to meet\r\nthe conditions necessary.\u00a0 <\/span>(See Matthew\r\n7:21-27, and Matthew 22:1-14)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n
