\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Watching God move in such spectacular ways in the past days has\r\nonly reinforced the benefits of God\u2019s people ruling and reigning through\r\nprayer, fasting, decrees, declarations and exercising the authority of the\r\nLord.\u00a0 <\/span>This is a normal part of our\r\nexistence as committed believers.\u00a0 <\/span>You\r\nunderstand, of course, that commitment demands that we respond proactively to\r\nevery Word of the Lord given to us.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\u2019ve said this a thousand times before, and I continue to say\r\nit.\u00a0 <\/span>We don\u2019t get to pick and choose what\r\nwe want to obey, and what we want to ignore.\u00a0\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Remember the Word that Mary said to the servants at the feast? (See John\r\n2)<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cWhatever He says to you, do it!\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\u2019s where we are!\u00a0\r\n<\/span>That\u2019s the requirement for us if we are to rule and reign with the Lord\r\nJesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s take this the next\r\nstep.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Anyone\r\nwho thinks authority is automatically given without there being a testing and\r\ntrying period is living in some kind of dreamland.\u00a0 <\/span>Think about authority in a natural sense, for\r\na minute.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\na person is first born, even in the sense of someone who is born to royalty,\r\nthey may have vested in them the authority that goes with their family or\r\ntitle, but they will never get to use that authority until they have learned\r\nwhat it is all about.\u00a0 <\/span>Even then it has\r\nto be tested and practiced until one is seasoned properly.\u00a0 <\/span>You\u2019ve heard me share this before, but here\r\nit is again! Here\u2019s how the apostle Paul put it when talking about who we are\r\nand what we have vested in us.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

II Timothy 2:15-17:\u00a0\r\n<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b>Be instantly responsive to the Lord, making yourself available\r\nto Him in the midst of the crucible, a tried and tested laborer who has no fear\r\nof being examined \u2013 one who, by virtue of God\u2019s testing and the time spent in\r\nthe crucible with Him, knows the proven Word of Truth.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Stand aloof from, and avoid the untested, untried \u201cword\u201d which\r\ncomes forth from those who would propagate speculation and create their own\r\ndoctrines.\u00a0 <\/span>These profane speculations\r\nand so-called \u201cwords\u201d are empty babblings which will only serve to advance\r\nungodliness;<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And those who spread these doctrines will only yield a gangrene\r\npasture \u2013 a source of poison to those who ingest their \u201cword\u201d\u2026..\u00a0 <\/span>and we point out Hymenaeus and Philetus as\r\nexamples. <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>(RAC Translation & Amplification)<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

You\r\nsee it, don\u2019t you?\u00a0 <\/span>Everything that God\r\nhas for us and in us is tested in a crucible.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>The crucible \u2014 as seen in the picture on the first page \u2014 is a vessel\r\nwhere precious metals such as gold or silver are heated again and again to the\r\nmelting place, poured out into another vessel where the impurities \u2014 the dross\r\n\u2014 forms on top and is scooped out.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nis how purity and value are established.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>In the same way, we are being processed and trested and tried \u2014 again\r\nand again \u2014 until everything that would contaminate and compromised the\r\npresence and authority of the Lord in us is removed.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\napostle Peter put it like this:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I Peter 4:12-19, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Beloved,\r\nthink it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though\r\nsome strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers\r\nof Christ\u2019s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad\r\nalso with exceeding joy. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\r\n\r\n

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye<\/i>;\r\nfor the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil\r\nspoken of, but on your part he is glorified. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

<\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\r\n\r\n

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as<\/i> a thief, or\r\nas<\/i> an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men\u2019s matters. Yet if any\r\nman suffer<\/i> as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God\r\non this behalf. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

For the time is come<\/i> that judgment must begin at the\r\nhouse of God: and if it<\/i> first begin<\/i> at us, what shall the end be<\/i>\r\nof them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be\r\nsaved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God\r\ncommit the keeping of their souls to him<\/i> in well doing, as unto a\r\nfaithful Creator.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nhave shared the following principles in the past.\u00a0 <\/span>This is an unfolding picture of the processes\r\nthat occur in our lives as we progress from birth to maturity and grow up into\r\nthe person of faith, authority and power that we\u2019ve been designed and destined\r\nfor.\u00a0 <\/span>Let me first begin by quoting from\r\nsome that Paul wrote to the Galatians.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Galatians 4:1-7, KJV<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Now I say, That<\/i>\r\nthe heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he\r\nbe lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of\r\nthe father.<\/span><\/u><\/p>\r\n

<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the\r\nelements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent\r\nforth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were\r\nunder the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his\r\nSon into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a\r\nservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ<\/u><\/span>.<\/span><\/u><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

You\r\nsee what Paul is driving at.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>It doesn\u2019t\r\nmatter what we\u2019ve been born into!\u00a0 <\/span>What\r\nmatters is how we respond to the \u201ctutors and governors\u201d that God assigns to\r\nteach and govern us until we have reached the place that He can trust us with\r\nHis authority and power.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nshared these five words in a recent series of Coffee Breaks, but for the sake\r\nof this discussion, let me briefly recap.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Brephos<\/span><\/i>is a word which describes the process of development in\r\nthe womb as a child prepares to come to birth; and the first eight days\r\nimmediately following birth up to circumcision.\u00a0\r\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Nepios<\/span><\/i>\r\ndescribes a babe-in-arms between the time of circumcision and being weaned from\r\nthe breast (or the bottle).\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Paidion<\/span><\/i> is a child who has been weaned from the milk, but has\r\nnot yet reached the age of reason (Bar-Mitzvah <\/b>for boys -- age 12, and Bat-Mitzvah\r\n<\/b>for girls -- age 13)).\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

From\r\nthis point forward children are referred to as <\/span>teknon(s).\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/i>Now the young person (still referred to\r\nsometimes as a \"child\"), having reached the age of reason, begins to\r\nundergo very strict training and preparation so that he\/she is thoroughly\r\nmetamorphosed into the thoughts, the ways, the practices, the business\r\ndealings, and the very heart of the Father.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hence,\r\nthe apostle Paul describes this period of time for Jesus in his epistle to the\r\nHebrews:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hebrews 5:8-9<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>Though he were\r\na Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made\r\nperfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nis intense.\u00a0 <\/span>It is corrective.\u00a0 <\/span>It is administrative.\u00a0 <\/span>But it is also revelatory.\u00a0 <\/span>This is that time when a person comes to\r\nunderstand, agree with, and flow with Father's desires.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Father\r\nand son (or Father and daughter) develop a place of intimate and intuitive\r\nunderstanding with each other so that when a point of complete maturity is\r\nreached (generally around age 30), Father can release the son to act on His\r\nbehalf, run His business, speak for Him and conduct any negotiations for Him as\r\nthough Father were there in person.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nthat day is reached (and that day is Father's prerogative -- it is not fixed in\r\nstone) a ceremony takes place in which Father announces, <\/span>This\r\nis my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.\"\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Father takes the ring off his hand which\r\nbears the seal of his authority and places it on the finger of His son.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

A\r\nbaptism takes place in which the \"child\" goes down into the water, is\r\nraised out of the water with the \"child\" now dead and gone, and a\r\nfully mature adult (the Greek word for this is <\/span>\"Huios<\/i>\")\r\n<\/span>on\r\ndisplay for the world to see.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Are\r\nyou seeing the parallels to what Jesus lived and walked?\u00a0 <\/span>Are you now beginning to grasp a better\r\npicture of what the Holy Spirit has been doing in our lives ever since we first\r\nsaid, \"Yes,\" to the Lordship of Jesus Christ?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nall know what Jesus experienced, what He went through in order to cancel the\r\ncurse and restore us to the place of fellowship with Father that He originally\r\nestablished with the creation of Adam and Eve.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>We know about the savage and brutal stripes, the ripping of His flesh to\r\nthe point that He was barely recognizable as a human being.\u00a0 <\/span>We know about His crucifixion.\u00a0 <\/span>We know about His death on the Cross and His\r\nsubsequent resurrection from the dead.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Paul\r\ngets a real revelation of all this and is given complete understanding of what\r\nFather did for Jesus, and said to Him once He had completed His redemptive\r\nmission.\u00a0 <\/span>Watch!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hebrews 1:8-14<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\r\n<\/span><\/span>But unto the Son he saith<\/i>, Thy throne, O God, is<\/i>\r\nfor ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is<\/i> the sceptre of thy\r\nkingdom.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore\r\nGod, even<\/i> thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy\r\nfellows.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of\r\nthe earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: <\/span>11<\/span><\/sup>They\r\nshall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a\r\ngarment;\u00a0 <\/span>And as a vesture shalt thou\r\nfold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years\r\nshall not fail.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right\r\nhand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them\r\nwho shall be heirs of salvation?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jesus\r\nis our exemplar!\u00a0 <\/span>He is the pattern Son\r\nfor all of us.\u00a0 <\/span>It cost Jesus everything\r\nin order to gain a Bride for Himself \u2014 a broad-based people who would overcome\r\nin the same way that He did. There is a day ahead of celebration and victory\r\nfor all those who have overcome, who have fulfilled the destiny set before\r\nthem, who have become the family of the Lord Jesus Christ \u2014 a family of God!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Most\r\nof you have heard me share this, or bits and pieces of it, but let me repeat\r\nthis picture again.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Della\r\nand I were in Cochrane, Alberta, staying with friends and helping them with a\r\nspecific task.\u00a0 <\/span>We were staying in their\r\n6600 sq-ft log home.\u00a0 <\/span>We had a very large\r\nbedroom with a huge desk in it.\u00a0 <\/span>I would\r\nget up early each morning and sit at the desk, meditate on the Word and wait on\r\nthe Lord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

One\r\nmorning as I was waiting on the Lord, a portal opened in front of me into\r\nEternity.\u00a0 <\/span>An angel of the Lord was\r\nstanding there, and he said to me, \u201cCome with me.\u201dImmediately, I was ushered to\r\nthe Marriage Supper of the Lamb.\u00a0 <\/span>The\r\nscene was something no one could possible imagine in their wildest\r\nfancies.\u00a0 <\/span>The sounds of the praise,\r\nworship and celebration exceeded any sound human ears have ever heard in this\r\nworld.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In a\r\nbook I am writing on the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, I have described the\r\nsounds of the accompanying instruments something like this: 10,000 trumpets,\r\n10,000 trombones, 10,000 violins, 10,000 cellos, 10,000 basses, 10,000 timpani,\r\netc., etc.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Then you have a multi-millon\r\nensemble of the bridal company, all the hosts of Heaven, the four and twenty\r\nelders \u2014 all with interweaving harmonies, the likes of which musicians and\r\narrangers here on earth rarely even conceive.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

There\r\ncame a moment of union \u2014 at least that how I saw it \u2014 between the Bridegroom\r\nand Bride when they merged together as one complete being.\u00a0 <\/span>There was a sound associated with it that I\r\ncan\u2019t even begin to describe!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

An\r\ninteresting side-note to all this is that whenever I meet or hear a worship\r\nmusician and leader who has been to Heaven and heard the extraordinary worship,\r\nthey come up with chord sequences on their instruments that are easily\r\ndistinguishable.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

As I\r\nwas watching this incredible event unfold, I happened to see Isaiah, the\r\nprophet.\u00a0 <\/span>I had visited with him on my\r\nfirst trip to Heaven at age nine and recognized him.\u00a0 <\/span>He likewise recognized me (that\u2019s a funny\r\nthing, because no one on my first trip saw me as a nine-year-old) and walked\r\nover to talk.\u00a0 <\/span>He began to share with me\r\nthe exceitement that he felt at all that was unfolding and said to me, \u201cYou\r\nknow, I saw all of this taking place in my spirit more than 700 years before\r\nJesus was even born.\u00a0 <\/span>Words fail me!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

A\r\nshort time later, Jesus came to me and interrupted our conversation.\u00a0 <\/span>He said, \u201cWould you like to see how I have\r\ngotten me this Bride?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Immediately,\r\nI said, \u201cYes sir, I would!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\r\nbegan a sequence of events that unfolded over the next three months-plus in\r\nwhich I traveled in time back to see the lives of key individuals unfold as\r\nthey responded in faith to the quickening in their spirits with obedience.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

(For\r\nthose of you who\u2019ve read the book titled, A TALE OF TWO BRIDES,\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>that book is a small sampling of what I saw\r\nwith numerous individuals.)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Eventually,\r\nwe went forward in time to the thousand years of peace, the battle that ensued\r\nwhen Satan was released from the pit, the final victory of God\u2019s people with\r\nthe help of the Hosts of Heaven, the destruction of the earth as it now exists,\r\nand the unfolding of the new Heavens and the new Earth.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I saw\r\nbeyond time and understood that the thousand years of peace, the period we\r\nrefer to as \u201cthe Millenium,\u201d where we rule and reign with Christ Jesus as\r\nnothing more than a warm-up for eternity. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nextravagance of what awaits those willing to overcome all, the endurance of\r\nthose who experience the crucible again and again and again as they are\r\nprepared \u2014 well, all I can say is that there is a dimension of ruling and\r\nreigning that awaits the faithful in Christ Jesus that exceeds the ability of\r\nthe human mind to cope with.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nhad intended to take you into the lives of King David, and the apostle Paul to\r\nprovide some insight into the preparation processes that they experienced as\r\nthey were prepared for ruling and reigning, but it would make today\u2019s\r\ndiscussion very, very long!\u00a0 <\/span>I thought\r\nbetter of it and decided I would end today\u2019s sharing with some brief tidbits to\r\nprepare you for next week, and perhaps the week after.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Early\r\non in this series, we spent some time looking at all that Joseph experienced as\r\nhe went from shepherd boy, to being sold into slavery, to winding up in the\r\nhouse of Potiphar, the head of the Egyptian military, being lied about by\r\nPotiphar\u2019s wife and winding up in prison for a number of years before\r\nultimately being brought out of prison to serve as the Prime Minister of Egypt,\r\nsecond only to Pharaoh.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Joseph\u2019s\r\ntrek was a unique one, but it spelled out a series of steps and processes that\r\nwe can certainly liken to the crucible prior to ultimately coming to a place of\r\nreal authority.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

David\u2019s\r\npreparation was not unlike that of Joseph.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>He began his years as a shepherd boy, looked down upon by his family\r\nbecause of the way he came into this world.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>When Samuel came along and anointed David King over Israel, David was\r\nonly 17 years of age.\u00a0 <\/span>There was no way\r\nhe was going assume the throne in the place of King Saul at that age.\u00a0 <\/span>He had no preparation for the throne.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nwasn\u2019t long before Saul heard about this shepherd who was speaking out about\r\nthe likes of Goliath, who was challenging Israel.\u00a0 <\/span>David offered to kill Goliath.\u00a0 <\/span>Saul thought David needed his armour to take\r\non Goliath, but David refused.\u00a0 <\/span>In short\r\norder David killed Goliath with one stone in his sling and cut off his\r\nhead.\u00a0 <\/span>David had Saul\u2019s favor for awhile\r\nand began to go out to battle with Saul\u2019s armies, killing a whole lot of Philistines.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nSaul heard the women of Israel singing, \u201cSaul has slain his thousands, and\r\nDavid his ten thousands, that was enough for Saul and he began to look for ways\r\nto kill David.\u00a0 <\/span>Eventually David was on\r\nthe run for his life \u2014 a period of quite a few years.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Not\r\nuntil Saul was killed in battle against the Philistines, did David first be\r\ngiven Kingship over Judah and Benjamin.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Saul\u2019s son tried to rule over the remaining tribes unsuccessfully and\r\nwas ultimately assassinated with David being given Kingship over all Israel.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Think\r\nabout these parallels between Josph and David.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Joseph\r\nwas 17 years of age when he was captured and sold into slavery in Egypt.\u00a0 <\/span>A span of 13 years passed with all of the\r\nintervening years of his slavery and imprisonment before he was made Prime\r\nMinister at age 30.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

David\r\nwas 17 years of age when Samuel anointed him to be King over Israel.\u00a0 <\/span>13 years passed while he was on the run,\r\nduring which Saul was ultimately killed, and David assuming the throne of\r\nIsrael at age 30.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jesus\r\nwas 30 years of age when He was baptized and began His ministry.\u00a0 <\/span>Do you see it?<\/span><\/p>\r\n
