ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: HEAVEN XV: DANIEL<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

We\r\nare in the midst of a paradigm shift in the body of Christ. All of our\r\nreference points are changing, and they are changing drastically!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n


\r\n <\/span>But it isn\u2019t just\r\n within the body of Christ. Changes within the body are essential in order to\r\n deal with the changes that are happening in society and in the world around us.The<\/span> world\u2019s economic system, which is based in the\r\n Babylonian mindset (Jesus referred to it as \u201cMammon\u201d), is literally shaking at\r\n its roots. The instability of money and financial markets has reached global\r\n proportions.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>The earth itself is\r\nrocking and reeling under the weight of sin \u2013 to the point where (as the\r\napostle Paul prophesied),<\/span> <\/span>\u201cFor the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth<\/span>\r\nfor the manifestation of the sons of God.For<\/span> the\r\ncreation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who\r\nsubjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its\r\nslavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.For<\/u><\/span> we know that the whole creation groans\r\nand suffers the pains of childbirth together until now<\/u>.\u201d<\/span><\/i>(Romans 8:19-22 NASB)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>The massive\r\nearthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions that we\u2019ve seen in the past couple\r\nof years really just portend the events to come in the months ahead. There have\r\nbeen a number of prominent prophetic voices telling us that the quake that\r\ndecimated northern Japan with its subsequent tsunami was a forerunner to a\r\nmassive quake to hit the northwestern coasts of the US and Canada. Even\r\ngeologists who have no connection to the prophetic voices who are speaking are\r\ntelling us that the northwestern coast of the US is way overdue for a quake of\r\nspectacular proportions.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>There is a critical\r\nnecessity, therefore, that believers pay close attention to the voice of the\r\nHoly Spirit. So long as God\u2019s people are listening and heeding what the Lord is\r\nsaying they can absolutely trust in and rely on God\u2019s faithfulness in the midst\r\nof chaos.<\/span>
\r\n<\/span>Proverbs 1 is a\r\nstrong Word of Counsel to all of us, and the 33rd<\/sup> verse tells us,<\/span> <\/span>\u201cBut whoso hearkeneth<\/span> unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet\r\nfrom fear of evil.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n


\r\n <\/span>Tremendous\r\n opportunities are being given to many to invest in the Gospel of the Kingdom. Those\r\n who hear the Word of the Lord and obey every command to invest with their seed\r\n sowing and their abundant giving will see their finances multiply greatly. This\r\n great transfer of wealth into the hands of God\u2019s people, however, is not so they\r\n can build a collection of mansions, Rolls Royces<\/span> or\r\n Bentleys (and it\u2019s not that God objects to His people having these things!);\r\n the purpose for this great wealth transfer is to capitalize on the moment so\r\n that the Kingdom of God expands and multiplies in the earth. Our first priority\r\n as believers is to extend the boundaries of the rulership<\/span>\r\n of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>We are shortly to\r\nbegin a thousand-year warm-up period of training and preparation for ruling and\r\nreigning with Christ throughout eternity. I had an extraordinary experience\r\nsome time ago in which an Angel of the Lord visited me to amplify the picture\r\ndrawn in Revelation 20:1-3.That passage reads like this:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cAnd I saw an angel come\r\ndown from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his\r\nhand.And<\/span> he laid hold on the dragon, that old\r\nserpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And\r\ncast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him,\r\nthat he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be\r\nfulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>In this experience,\r\nthe Angel of the Lord picked me up and literally flew me around the globe. In\r\ncity after city, town after town, countryside after countryside, in the midst\r\nof every conceivable situation and circumstance I watched the Holy Spirit\r\nwhisper into the ears of those people in active pursuit of His presence a\r\ncommand to be ready to speak two words.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>You understand, of\r\ncourse, that this was not a whisper to Christians in the general sense of the\r\nword, but rather those who were attuned to the voice of the Holy Spirit. There\r\nis a huge difference between what we call \u201cthe Church\u201d and \u201cThe Bride of\r\nChrist.\u201dNot all Christians are members of the Bride of Christ. Witness, for\r\nexample, Jesus\u2019 parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-12.All were\r\nbelievers. All were Christians. All were dressed in white. All were expecting\r\nthe Bridegroom\u2019s return. But only five made it into the bridal chamber because\r\nthey kept their anointing fresh and continually did whatever it took to ensure\r\nthat they would never be caught off guard when the Bridegroom came.<\/span>
\r\n<\/span>But, I digress.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>As we traveled the\r\nglobe, I saw the Holy Spirit whispering into the ears of people driving their\r\ncars, some at work, some at play, some in bed and awakened by the Holy Spirit\u2019s\r\nalert, some sitting at the breakfast or dinner table \u2013 in other words He was\r\nspeaking to those whose spirits were attuned to Him.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>We returned back to\r\nour starting place. Time zipped past in a flash. I have no idea how much time\r\nhad elapsed other than having the sense that it was a relatively short period. Again\r\nI was picked up in the Spirit and taken above the earth by an Angel of the\r\nLord. This time it was as if I was watching various places and people through a\r\ntelescope or a huge magnifying glass \u2013 the same folks who had been alerted by\r\nthe Holy Spirit to be ready to speak these two critically important words. The\r\ncommand from the Holy Spirit went forth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>I watched as the\r\ncommand of the Holy Spirit was released into the hearts and spirits of those on\r\nalert. The Bride was ready!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>With one voice and\r\none sound I heard the two words spoken around the earth, all at the same time,\r\nin every nation and tribe, in every city and town, in every conceivable\r\nsituation and circumstance. It was a prophecy, and the decree of the Lord, \u201cBe\r\nBound!!!\u201d<\/o:p><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>The words\r\nreverberated throughout the earth and the atmosphere. The angel who held the\r\nkey to the bottomless pit had been awaiting the release of the command to do\r\nso, and in a split second Satan was bound and cast into the pit, chained and\r\nrestrained for the next thousand years to come. It was absolutely dazzling! It\r\nwas also very humbling, and yet there was a clear sense of ecstasy over the\r\nfact that the Lord had used His Bride \u2013 the very people whom Satan had\r\ntormented, tempted and tried throughout the years, the very people who had\r\novercome him \u2013 to put Satan under their feet. He was taken out of commission\r\nand locked away, prevented from tempting another soul for the next thousand\r\nyears to come.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>Get ready, people of\r\nGod! Get ready, Bride! Get the cobwebs out of your soul and your spirit! Be\r\nready to respond in an instant to prophesy, to decree, to declare the Word of\r\nthe Lord as He directs. That day is upon us!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>WOW!\r\nKind of got long-winded there in my introduction today. Anyway, GOOD MORNING! Ready\r\nfor a break? Then pour yourself a good cup of this really dark brew, grab a\r\n\u201cvitamin\u201d or two and let\u2019s get back to our narrative on Heaven.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n


\r\n <\/span>Though not as young\r\n perhaps as was Jeremiah and Ezekiel when the Word of the Lord first came to\r\n them, Daniel was still a teenager when He first began to receive dreams and\r\n visions and prophetic instruction from the Lord. Daniel\u2019s life, and the\r\n challenges he faced intrigued me from the moment I first began to read His\r\n narrative in the Word.<\/span><\/p>\r\n


\r\n <\/span>My conversations with\r\n him centered on the following topics: (1) His relationship to Hananiah<\/span>, Mishael<\/span> and Azariah<\/span> (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego), and what he saw\r\n and experienced when they were thrown into the fiery furnace; (2) the prayer\r\n life he led which resulted in him being cast into the den of lions, and what he\r\n experienced there; (3) his life as Prime Minister during the reigns of numerous\r\n kings and monarchs; (4) his fasting; and (5) his 70-week prophecy of the\r\n Messiah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>Maybe the Lord\r\nintended it that way in order to make an impression in my spirit, and maybe\r\nthat\u2019s just the way he normally appeared but when I was introduced to Daniel,\r\nhe was dressed in the exquisitely-made robes of someone you would expect to see\r\nin a royal court. Had he worn a crown one would easily take him for being the\r\nKing instead of the Prime Minister, so regal was his bearing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>Daniel was primed for\r\nour conversation, obviously readied by the Lord for this moment because of the\r\npower and impact his sharing would have on me, and the degree to which his\r\ncounsel would affect me in the years to come.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>After being\r\nintroduced to him, I asked, \u201cWould you tell me about your relationship to Hananiah<\/span>, Mishael<\/span> and Azariah<\/span>, and what unfolded when they rejected the king\u2019s\r\norders to bow down and worship him? I know that they were cast into the fiery\r\nfurnace, but it is hard to really get that picture in my mind because of all\r\nthe events the Bible records surrounding it.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>If there was anyone I\r\nmet in Heaven who was really good at weaving stories in such a way as to\r\nimplant strong visual images, it was Daniel. He first drew a picture of his\r\nthree companions in such a way that I was able to see them visually \u2013 holographically<\/span>, if you will \u2013 as they appeared in the\r\ncourts of Nebuchadnezzar. They \u2013 like Daniel \u2013 exuded the presence of the Lord.\r\nTheir mannerisms, their bearing, their bold stance (at first when they, along\r\nwith Daniel, declined to eat the king\u2019s meat, choosing instead a vegetable\r\ndiet; and later when they refused to bow before the king\u2019s golden image) and\r\nthe spirit they radiated displayed an unwavering confidence and trust in the\r\nLord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cMy companions and\r\nI,\u201d Daniel began, \u201cwere each one of the house of David. We were all considered\r\nand treated as part of Judah\u2019s royal family and given that accord once we were\r\nin Babylon. We had all applied ourselves to the learning of the Law and living\r\nit with strict observance. It was not a legalistic observance, however. Each of\r\nus had developed a love for the Lord God that knew no bounds. Furthermore, we\r\neach had personal experiences \u2013 experiments, if you will \u2013 in which we saw God\r\ndemonstrate His Word to and through us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cIt is my personal\r\nconviction that it was the presence of the Lord upon us which resulted in the\r\nfavor we were given in Nebuchadnezzar\u2019s courts, as well as that which we\r\nreceived with later rulers. Even though Nebuchadnezzar didn\u2019t at first realize\r\nwhat he was seeing with us (and didn\u2019t until later) the presence of the love of\r\nGod created a kind of magnetic attraction that drew out his favor.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cThat favor rapidly\r\ndissipated like a mist heated with the morning sun for Hananiah<\/span>,\r\nMishael<\/span> and Azariah<\/span> when\r\nthe command was given to bow down to the king\u2019s image, and they refused.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>I interrupted Daniel\r\nto ask, \u201cWhat happened to you? Why weren\u2019t you there to respond to the king\u2019s\r\ncommand? If it applied to your companions, wouldn\u2019t it have applied to you?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cThat\u2019s a good and\r\nlogical question,\u201d he answered.\u201cHad I been with them at the time, I certainly\r\nwould have been counted with them because I could not and would not have bowed\r\ndown to the king\u2019s image. You must understand, however, that the king revered\r\nme as much as he did the Lord God. Though he didn\u2019t understand and serve God \u2013\r\nand in fact worshiped many false gods \u2013 because I\u2019d been able to not only\r\ninterpret his dream of the great image but also bring that dream in its\r\nentirety back to his memory, it was a supernatural event.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cThe king knew that I\r\nhad a special relationship with God, and that put me \u2013 at least in his thinking\r\n\u2013 on a level above him. Were the people to regard him as a god and worship him,\r\nhe felt that it would elevate his stature as something that, while not\r\nattaining to the relationship I had, would at least put him on the same level\r\nas the other gods of the kingdom. In any case, because of his fear and\r\nreverence for me and my relationship with the Lord, I was exempt from his\r\ncommand.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cHananiah<\/span>,\r\nMishael<\/span> and Azariah<\/span> were my\r\nfellow-companions within Nebuchadnezzar\u2019s court, and while they held special\r\nstatus as magi within the ranks of his counselors and advisors, he still\r\nconsidered them inferior to his god-status and therefore subject to the same\r\ncommand as the rest of the people.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>Again I interrupted\r\nDaniel.\u201cWhat is that term, magi?\u201d I asked. That same term appears in the New\r\nTestament referring to the wise men who brought gifts to Jesus after they had\r\nseen His star in the heavens.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>He grinned and nodded\r\nhis head.\u201cThe term \u201cmagi\u201d has come to refer to a special class of\r\nrepresentatives and counselors to the king (or kings) of the east \u2013 in part\r\nbecause of the wisdom of God imparted to them, and also because they became a\r\npart of what developed as a prophetic school among the Jews in captivity. <\/span> <\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Throughout\r\n the years and in the generations to follow they became a special, elite class\r\n of royal representatives. In modern language, you would call them ambassadors. Magi,\r\n however, were more than just ambassadors. In many cases they became the alter\r\n ego of the king to represent him and his interests. They had prophetic insight\r\n given to them by the Lord and were able to act with a level of insight and\r\n authority that ordinary counselors and advisors lacked.\u201d<\/span>
\r\n <\/span>That answer prompted\r\n another question on my part.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cMy father says that\r\nyou were responsible for this school of the prophets, and that the magi of your\r\nera grew up under your training. He says he believes that the magi who visited\r\nJesus knew the prophetic words you had delivered as well as those of Ezekiel,\r\nIsaiah, Jeremiah and others, and that you established the foundation for their\r\ntraining and preparation; that they were looking for the coming of the\r\nMessiah-King because of their schooling in those prophecies.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>Daniel\u2019s answer was a\r\nbit of a revelation to me.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cHananiah<\/span>,\r\nMishael<\/span> and Azariah<\/span> were\r\nreally the first of that school, and their miraculous deliverance in the midst\r\nof the fiery furnace laid the foundations for all who desired to know the Lord\r\nGod whom we served. When they stood up to the king and boldly declared that\r\nthey would not bow to his image and he threatened them with the furnace, they\r\nmade a statement of faith that would ring as truth throughout the centuries\r\nthat followed.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cO Nebuchadnezzar, we are\r\nnot careful to answer thee in this matter.If<\/span> it be\r\nso, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace,\r\nand he will deliver us out of thine<\/span> hand, O king.But<\/span> if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we\r\nwill not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.\u201d<\/span><\/i>(See Daniel 3:16-18)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cTheir bold\r\ndeclaration of faith in the Lord God, and confidence that He would deliver them\r\nfrom the fiery furnace, and even if He didn\u2019t, they wouldn\u2019t bow was something\r\nno one of that generation had ever heard. The deliverance of the Lord marked my\r\ncompanions as having access to something supernatural. It stirred the minds and\r\nhearts of those who saw \u2013 and in successive generations, those who heard about\r\n\u2013 their walking about in the furnace of fire with the Lord, untouched and\r\nunharmed. A fair number of people decided they wanted to follow in their\r\nfootsteps and learn what they knew of the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n


\r\n <\/span>\u201cThat really is how\r\n the school of the prophets got its start. My primary objective is sharing with\r\n them and training them was to get them to focus on the prophecies of the coming\r\n Messiah. Our nation was in captivity. There was going to come a day when many\r\n of our people would be living in our homeland, and they needed to be alert to\r\n see and recognize Messiah when He came. We focused on the prophecies of David,\r\n of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. Those prophecies became second nature to many\r\n within that school and there grew up a small group within that school who\r\n watched for the signs of His coming.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>\u201cAs God continued to\r\nunfold for me more prophetic understanding of Messiah\u2019s coming, I was able to\r\nimpart that understanding to those within the school of prophets. They began to\r\nunderstand that the heavens would declare the glory of the Lord, the heavens\r\nwould clearly show the coming of Messiah. The magi who came to see Jesus after\r\nHis birth were watching carefully for those signs, and they saw them. They knew\r\nthat indeed, the Messiah, the King of Kings had been born into the world, and\r\nthey came to give honor \u2013 not only because of what they knew, but because the\r\nkings whom they served as counselors wanted to pay honor and recognize Him as\r\nbeing THE King over all the earth.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n


\r\n<\/span>I\u2019ve run of out of\r\ntime today. In our next Coffee Break, we\u2019ll go into the discussions in which\r\nDaniel describes his life of prayer and intercession, and why \u2013 even with the\r\nthreat of the lion\u2019s den \u2013 he wasn\u2019t about to compromise his prayer life.<\/span>

\r\n<\/span>A paradigm shift is taking place in\r\nthe body of Christ. The Holy Spirit has been preparing the Bride to show forth\r\nthe greater works that Jesus promised.We<\/span> are in the\r\nmidst of a huge transition. That which God is about to reveal will shake and\r\nshatter the religious foundations of the calcified church!<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n
