\r\nAll right. Good Morning! You DID sleep well last night, didn\u2019t you?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Lots more\r\nFrench Roasted Columbian Supremo<\/span> in the pot this\r\nmorning, so pour yourself some brew. It's Gooooooooooooddddd<\/span>!!!!!\r\nMmmmmm<\/span> Mmmmm<\/span>..........love\r\nthat aroma!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

If there is\r\nanything I\u2019ve learned throughout the years it is that dreams \u2013 and\r\nspecifically, dreams from the Lord \u2013 are given to us for a variety of reasons.\r\nI marvel at the unique nature of the pictures and experiences that come this\r\nway. These dreams are intended to communicate the heart of the Lord in a visual\r\nway.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

1.<\/span> They are given for the purpose of prayer and\r\nintercession.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

2.<\/span> They are given to us so that we can declare and\r\ndecree events that have already happened in Heaven, bringing them into this\r\ntime-space world in which we live.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

3.<\/span> Dreams allow us to see critical events which\r\nwill happen, and are given as a warning for our protection.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

4.<\/span> Dreams are given to communicate the purposes of\r\nGod.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

5.<\/span> Sometimes dreams are given for our discernment\r\nto know the plans of the Enemy and his conspiracies against us so that we can\r\ndestroy his works.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

You\r\nunderstand, of course, that I\u2019m not referring to the dreams that derive from\r\neating chocolate-covered dill pickles or some strange combination of foods\r\nbefore we go to bed. I\u2019m referring to the communication that is Spirit-driven.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Because we are\r\nfirst and foremost spirit-beings, then<\/i> soul and then<\/i> body, anything\r\nwhich is spirit-driven or spirit-motivated and\/or has any kind of spiritual\r\nemphasis will be reflected in our dreams while we are asleep. Ever wonder why\r\nyou have certain dreams that seem to lack logic or rationale? Ever wonder why\r\nyou have dreams that communicate some kind of message? Ever wonder why you\r\nsometimes have nightmares?<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Everything\r\nthat happens to you during the day or over the course of several days is\r\nretained in your subconscious memory. Everything you hear and everything you\r\nsee goes straight to your subconscious memory. Your dreams won\u2019t necessarily\r\ncome out of your subconscious memory \u2013 although some will be influenced by it.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Dreams are a\r\nform of spirit communication. When you watch certain television programs,\r\nlisten to music or focus heavily on the news of the day, for instance, there is\r\na constant level of spirit-communication taking place. Virtually all media is\r\nspirit-driven.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That may seem\r\nto be a stretch or an exaggeration, but as one who has both studied (and taught\r\nat the university level) and put into practice the art or science of subliminal\r\ncommunication, I speak from practical experience. I don\u2019t want to get\r\nsidetracked on that subject today, but it is important to emphasize that we are\r\nconstantly being communicated with on a spirit-level.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

If our daily\r\ninput comes from television programs, a barrage of negative news, or much of\r\nthe popular music on the radio today, much of what goes straight to our spirit\r\nwill be driven and motivated by demonic spirits with a demonic agenda.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

If, on the\r\nother hand, the majority of our daily input comes from spending time in the\r\nWord, listening to and participating in praise and worship music, and simply\r\nenjoying the presence of the Lord, the Holy Spirit will be transmitting and\r\nimparting the very life-flow of God into us. The result will be that we will\r\nbegin to have more and more dreams, visions and visitations from the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

When the\r\ndreams took place that I\u2019ve just described and shared with you on the night of\r\nAugust 7th<\/sup>\/morning of August 8th<\/sup>, Della and I had just\r\ncompleted a period of some two weeks of literally soaking in the presence of\r\nthe Lord. The River of Life Campmeeting<\/span> that Peter\r\nand Cathryn<\/span> Nash (Frontline Worship Centre) sponsored\r\nin Red Deer, Alberta was filled with praise and worship, revelatory teaching\r\nand prophecy (**not the so-called \u201cEnd Time\u201d prophecy that many Christians\r\noften think of), and miraculous displays of the presence of the Lord. We had\r\nseen non-stop signs and wonders accompanying the teaching and preaching of the\r\nWord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

You simply\r\ncannot be in that kind of environment without it impacting every part of your\r\nbeing. Your spirit is continually receiving revelation and impartation from the\r\nHoly Spirit. These dreams I\u2019ve just described are only a tiny part of the\r\nexperiences we had in God during this two-week period!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

In the weeks\r\nsince, I\u2019ve had several more dreams from the Lord \u2013 some of which confirm these\r\ndreams and add to a collective experience. Why am I saying this? Many of you \u2013\r\nmy friends, my acquaintances and my Coffee Break readers \u2013 have been having\r\ndreams, visions and visitations from the Lord during the past months or even\r\nyears; but the frequency of these experiences has increased and is increasing\r\neven more!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

It is\r\nimportant to pay attention to what is happening. We are in the midst of the\r\ngreatest world-wide harvest of souls in history! Despite all of the negative\r\nnews that we hear and see on television and in the news media in general,\r\nspectacular things are taking place as we come to the end of this era.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

What\u2019s it all\r\nabout? Jesus is coming back for a Bride without spot or wrinkle (see Ephesians\r\n5:27). He is coming for a Bride who has made herself ready for Him; that\u2019s to\r\nsay that she has pursued Him with a fervent love, and has done all to respond\r\nto His every desire so that she reflects His glory, His nature, His character\r\nand His makeup. She is ready because she has done all to become His\r\nCounterpart, His Other Self!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Folks, right\r\nnow the body of Christ is not ready for His return! Certainly there are many\r\nChristians who meet the criteria of Ephesians 5:27 and Revelation 19:7-8, but\r\nas a whole the biggest part of the body \u2013 those who profess to know the Lord\r\nand walk with Him \u2013 are not in pursuit of His presence in their lives, no\r\nmatter the cost!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Many, many\r\nChristians are very passive about their Christianity. They\u2019ve become religious\r\ninstead of relational! They have the form of Godliness but they lack the power\r\nand authority that goes with a personal love-relationship with the Lord Jesus\r\nChrist.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Because the\r\nLord Jesus Christ is desirous of having a full house, a completed Bride, a\r\nreadied Bride who is anxiously looking for Him to come and receive her, more\r\nand more and more believers are experiencing supernatural dreams, revelations\r\nand visitations as the Holy Spirit draws the people of God. God is revealing\r\nHimself in spectacular ways to His people. His objective is to inspire them, to\r\ndraw them, to make them so dissatisfied with who they are and where they are\r\nspiritually that they begin to cry out with their whole being for His 24-hour\r\npresence.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Because of the\r\nway that the Lord has revealed Himself to me throughout my life, and because of\r\nthe constant sense of His presence 24 hours a day, I cannot imagine life\r\nwithout Him being there, living in me, living through me, demonstrating His\r\nKingdom for so much as ten seconds. The longer I walk with the Lord, the more I\r\ndesire of Him. The more I have His presence, the more I thirst after Him. The\r\nmore He demonstrates His power and authority through me with signs and wonders,\r\nthe more I realize just how little I have of Him and how much more awaits!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The things I\r\nshare in these Coffee Breaks, the experiences that I\u2019ve shared over the past\r\nseven years (and continue to share) are designed to inspire you, to prod you, to\r\nanger you if necessary, but mostly to encourage you to move on in God! There\u2019s\r\nno such thing as standing still in God. If you\u2019re not pressing in for more of\r\nHim, you\u2019re going backwards and growing cold spiritually. If you\u2019re not\r\nactivating and operating in the Gifts of the Spirit with the Fruit of the\r\nSpirit in full attendance, you are dying a slow death spiritually.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Remember the\r\nparable of the ten virgins?<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Matthew\r\n25:1-13:<\/span><\/b> Then shall\r\nthe kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and\r\nwent forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were\r\nfoolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:\r\nBut the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n

While the bridegroom\r\ntarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made,\r\nBehold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins\r\narose, and trimmed their lamps.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n

And the foolish said unto\r\nthe wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise\r\nanswered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye\r\nrather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy,\r\nthe bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage:\r\nand the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord,\r\nLord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you\r\nnot. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son\r\nof man cometh.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I won\u2019t make\r\nthis discussion a complete breakdown of this parable, but there are some really\r\nimportant elements of Jesus\u2019 statements to consider and meditate on.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let me begin\r\nwith one of Jesus\u2019 last remarks where He says, \u201cVerily I say unto you, I know\r\nyou not.\u201d Ouch! These are virgins! These are folks who have gotten \u201csaved.\u201d\r\nThey\u2019ve repented of their sins, they\u2019ve acknowledged Jesus Christ as their\r\nLord, and they\u2019ve led basically righteous lives. They\u2019re dressed in white.\r\nThey\u2019re supposed to be awaiting the coming of the Bridegroom.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nannouncement has gone out, \u201cBehold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet\r\nHim.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

All of the\r\nvirgins go to the assigned place of meeting the Bridegroom with their lamps\r\nlit, their flames burning, their passion and ardor for the Lord on display. The\r\nproblem is, the Bridegroom doesn\u2019t come when expected. Half of the virgins have\r\ntaken extra oil so they can keep their lamps burning. Their passion and fire\r\nfor God is clearly evident.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The other half\r\nhas made no preparation for the Bridegroom delaying His coming. There is no\r\nforesight or expectation that He might \u2026 He just might not \u2026 come according to\r\ntheir timetable. What has happened? They\u2019ve fallen into the trap of programming\r\nthe Lord into a religious box. There is no pursuit of His presence. There is no\r\nthirst to really know their husband-to-be. There is no oil of anointing. (I\u2019d\r\nreally like to expand on this, but that will wait for another discussion.)\r\nThere is no walking and living in the Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Here\u2019s the\r\nproblem, and this is a picture of a good part of the body of Christ today.\r\nJesus has sent out an invitation to the world. John records Jesus as putting it\r\nlike this:<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

John 3:16:<\/span><\/b>\r\nFor God so loved the world that\r\nHe gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not\r\nperish but have everlasting life.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n

All of the\r\nvirgins believed<\/i><\/b> on Jesus as the Son of God. Good, so far! But\r\nthere\u2019s a whole lot more. This is not an intellectual assent to Jesus being the\r\nSon of God. The Greek word translated \u201cbelieved\u201d in this statement is<\/span> pisteuo<\/span><\/i><\/span>. This is a whole lot\r\nmore than simply \u201cbelieving!\u201d This is \u201cto have faith in.\u201d This is the result of\r\nhearing His voice, having faith generate within one\u2019s being because you heard\r\nHis voice, (see Romans 10:17) and then responding with your whole being to that\r\nvoice.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The five\r\nfoolish virgins stopped in their pursuit of the presence of the Lord. They\r\nceased to pursue after hearing His voice in their being. They lost their\r\npassion for Him. Their flames went out, and there was no oil to restart the\r\nfire. They had ceased to \u201cbe filled\u201d with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). The\r\nwell of the oil of the Spirit had run dry.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Any personal\r\nand intimate communication by and through the Holy Spirit between them and the\r\nLord had long since ceased. They didn\u2019t \u201cknow\u201d Him anymore, and when they\r\npresented themselves to Him \u2013 after He had already come and received those who\r\nwere ready and waiting \u2013 His response was, \u201cI don\u2019t know you.\u201d Jesus\u2019 answer \u2013\r\nliterally translated from the Greek \u2013 was, \u201cI don\u2019t recognize you. I can\u2019t see\r\nyou. I don\u2019t understand you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

What a waste!\r\nTo have come so far, and then treat the relationship in such cavalier fashion\r\nwas a disaster. They were excluded from being part of the Bride. They were\r\nexcluded from the personal and intimate presence of the Lord. Sure, they were\r\n\u201csaved\u201d from the fires of Hell, but they would never have the trust and\r\nconfidence reserved for those who press into the Lord and seek after His best,\r\nno matter what it takes and no matter what it costs!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

But here is\r\nthe message of the Lord to all who find themselves in the category of the\r\nfoolish virgins today. The call continues to go forth. There is a second chance\r\nfor those who\u2019ve blown it the first time around. He continues to seek after a\r\npeople who will love Him with every breath of their being. He continues to look\r\nfor those who will have His best in them no matter the cost. He continues to\r\ndesire those who will not compromise His Word to them and in them.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

There is still\r\ntime \u2013 but very little of it!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\u2019s the\r\nessence of what happened in my dreams. There was a second chance for those in\r\nthe cage who were biting and devouring one another. There was a second chance\r\nfor the Russian officer. And they took it! There was repentance, and there was\r\ncomplete healing and restoration. There was deliverance for all. And Jesus\r\nreceived the Glory and Honor because of it.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

For most of\r\nthe past 20 years or so I have had a constant theme in my sharing and teaching.\r\nThat theme goes like this:<\/span> There\r\nis no substitute for the presence of the Lord.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n

In the past\r\nmonths, I\u2019ve realized that there is one more element to this that needs to be\r\nadded and it goes like this:<\/span> There is no substitute for the Glory of the Lord being revealed in\r\nand through us.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Why do I add\r\nthe second statement? Follow this if you will.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

If we live in\r\nHis presence, and continually respond to His voice, He will reveal His Glory in\r\nus. If He reveals His Glory in us, He will have received His inheritance in us\r\n\u2013 and that\u2019s what this is all about! (See Ephesians 1:17-23)<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Holy Spirit is moving and operating in\r\nthis day and age in non-traditional ways; and any attempts we make to box Him\r\nin or try to second-guess Him are doomed to failure. Those who are willing to\r\nhear what He has to say and are ready to \u201coperate outside the box\u201d will see and\r\nexperience the Glory of the Lord!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n
