Salutations and Blessings upon you!<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ncoffee is brewing\u2026uhh<\/span>\u2026steeping in the French Press.\r\nReady for a cup? I believe we\u2019ve got some of those smaller \u201cvitamins\u201d sitting\r\naround the kitchen, too. You know\u2026those things they call \u201cdonut holes\u201d?\r\nVitamins! Right!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let\u2019s\r\nget right to it this morning continuing with the prophetic picture and\r\nsignificance of what I saw in the dreams.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

DREAM NUMBER ONE, Part One<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Returning\r\nto the person in the dream who was a Russian FSB officer, he represents an\r\nauthority-figure and someone who has the power to influence and control the\r\nlives of many people. I noted in the previous Coffee Break that he was a type\r\nof the \u201cleader\u201d who has charge over folks, but has no personal relationship\r\nwith the Lord. He was austere, legalistic, demanding and thought he had the\r\nright to rule over them and say what they could believe and not believe.\r\nBecause he had no personal relationship with the Lord, anyone who talked about\r\nsuch a thing was a heretic and a fool.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

He\r\nis the classic picture of leaders who have the \u201cform of Godliness but lack the\r\npower thereof.\u201d (See II Timothy 3:5) I say that because when he first met me at\r\nthe airport, his demeanor and appearance was that of a well-polished, seasoned\r\nminister. He had the appearance of being a Godly man. He had the ability to put\r\non a show \u2013 a fa\u00e7ade \u2013 that was anything but real. His ultimate repentance at\r\nthe end of the dream is indicative of many leaders I\u2019ve met throughout the\r\nyears who have been Bible College or seminary-trained \u2013 highly educated, if you\r\nwill \u2013 but whose knowledge is all academic, not revelatory.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

There\r\nis a huge difference between acquired knowledge and revealed knowledge by the Holy\r\nSpirit. Acquired knowledge is what you get through book-learning and academic\r\npursuits. Revealed knowledge is what comes directly from God in an instant. It\r\nis a \u201cdownload\u201d if you will. You instantly have the answer or the solution to a\r\nsituation that didn\u2019t come through hours or days or weeks or months of study,\r\nresearch and experimentation.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let\r\nme digress a bit to give you an example.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Back\r\nin 1988 when I was Chief Engineer for KTBY (the FOX TV affiliate) in Anchorage,\r\nI was called in for an emergency in the wee hours of the morning. The\r\ntransmitter had failed and the station was off the air. The transmitter was an\r\narchaic relic of WWII-era design \u2013 an old Black and White RCA transmitter that\r\nhad been converted to color sometime in the late 1950\u2019s or early 1960\u2019s. The\r\nthing should have been retired to a museum many years before. There were no\r\nschematics that covered the modifications, and many changes had been made to\r\nthe transmitter that weren\u2019t recorded. When I walked into the transmitter room,\r\nthe place smelled of molten metal. The high-voltage cage had literally melted\r\nand the final output tube was almost welded into the High Voltage cavity.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Logically,\r\nthe first step was to rip everything out, clean up the mess and rebuild the HV\r\nsection. OK, so far. But what caused the meltdown in the first place? What had\r\nfailed in such a way as to cause such catastrophic damage? I didn\u2019t have a\r\nclue, so I did what I knew to do: lay hands on the transmitter and pray. (By\r\nthe way, this is something both Della and I have done on numerous occasions\r\nwith many different things. (Grin)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

You\r\ncan laugh if you want. If some of my engineering friends had been there to see,\r\nthey\u2019d have known I\u2019d absolutely lost it! There\u2019s a spiritual principle here,\r\nhowever, that many believers miss in crisis situations. James put it like this\r\nin his epistle:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

James\r\n1:5-6<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span> <\/span>5<\/span><\/sup><\/i>If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,\r\nthat giveth<\/span> to all men liberally, and upbraideth<\/span> not; and it shall be given him. 6<\/sup>But\r\nlet him ask in faith, nothing wavering<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nneeded wisdom and understanding and the Lord gave it to me \u2013 in immediate\r\ndownload fashion! In an instant, the Holy Spirit gave me a vision of an old\r\noil-filled capacitor in the HV power supply and told me it was shorted. When I\r\nopened up the back doors of the HV cage, there was the capacitor just like the\r\nHoly Spirit had shown me. A quick test showed that it was indeed shorted out. I\r\nscrounged up a replacement, installed it and fired the transmitter up. Presto!\r\nJust like that we were back up and running.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\ndidn\u2019t need an engineering degree (and truth is, I still don\u2019t have one despite\r\ninternational recognition for some achievements in science and engineering) \u2013\r\njust an impartation of wisdom and understanding from the Holy Spirit. My\r\nachievements in the field of electronic engineering haven\u2019t come through\r\nbook-learning; they\u2019ve come as a direct result of revelation from the Holy\r\nSpirit. Folks, it works, and it works reliably. But it only works when you have\r\nthe reality of a relationship, a personal love-relationship, with the Lord\r\nJesus Christ. There\u2019s no form about this. It isn\u2019t religious at all. And\r\nthere\u2019s both power and authority that backs it up.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Didn\u2019t\r\nmean to get so sidetracked, but the personal illustration is a picture of the\r\ndifference between \u201cthe form of Godliness\u201d and living and operating in the\r\npower of God. Throughout the years, I\u2019ve met many \u201cpastors\u201d who had the title\r\nand fair-sized church congregations to accompany their title. When I\u2019ve asked\r\nthem how the Lord called them into the ministry, they\u2019ve given me a\r\ndeer-in-the-headlights stare. Some have stammered and stuttered around looking\r\nfor an answer. Others have simply responded dryly, \u201cI just wanted to do\r\nsomething to help my fellow-man.\u201d Still others have answered, \u201cIt seemed like a\r\ngood thing to do.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Duhhh<\/span><\/span>\u2026.. No concept\r\nwhatever of the voice of the Holy Spirit or having a commission from the Lord!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Dad\r\nused to say (and I think he was repeating something he\u2019d heard throughout the\r\nyears), \u201cThere are lots of people in the ministry who simply \u201cwent\u201d \u2013 but they\r\nwere not \u201csent\u201d!\u201d When that\u2019s the case, you have the perfect picture of the\r\nRussian officer in the dream: a person who exercises power, influence and\r\nauthority without wisdom and understanding.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

But\r\nhere\u2019s the best part of this picture: when folks like this come in contact with\r\nreal authority and power \u2013 that which comes by and through the Holy Spirit \u2013\r\nand they see miraculous events take place which defy all their logic and\r\nlearning resulting in real change to people, desire leaps within their being\r\nfor the \u201creal.\u201d For many there is recognition \u2013 whether ever voiced or not \u2013\r\nthat what they\u2019ve operated in was \u201cwill power\u201d and not some God-given, Holy\r\nSpirit-anointed<\/span> <\/span>dunamis<\/span><\/i><\/span> <\/span>power\r\nand authority. Like the Russian officer in the dream, reality sets in,\r\nrepentance takes place and there comes a yielding to the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

* * * * * * * *<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

DREAM NUMBER ONE, Part Two<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jeremiah\r\n12:9-11<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span> <\/span>9<\/span><\/sup><\/i>Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled bird, the birds round\r\nabout are against her; come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to\r\ndevour. 10<\/sup>Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden\r\nmy portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate\r\nwilderness. 11<\/sup>They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth<\/span> unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because\r\nno man layeth<\/span> it to heart.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\nour previous Coffee Break, we talked about Paul\u2019s statement to the Galatians;\r\nand I will expand on that for a bit because it bears directly on the prophetic\r\npicture in these dreams.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Galatians\r\n5:13-26<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span> <\/span>13<\/span><\/sup><\/i>For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not\r\nliberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14<\/sup>For\r\nall the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt<\/span>\r\nlove thy neighbour<\/span> as thyself. 15<\/sup>But if ye\r\nbite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. 16<\/sup>This\r\nI say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil<\/span>\r\nthe lust of the flesh. 17<\/sup>For the flesh lusteth<\/span>\r\nagainst the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary\r\nthe one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18<\/sup>But\r\nif ye be led of<\/span> the Spirit, ye are not under the law.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

19<\/span><\/sup><\/i>Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which\r\nare these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20<\/sup>Idolatry,\r\nwitchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21<\/sup>Envyings,\r\nmurders, drunkenness, revellings<\/span>, and such like: of\r\nthe which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they\r\nwhich do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

22<\/span><\/sup><\/i>But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,\r\npeace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23<\/sup>Meekness,\r\ntemperance: against such there is no law. 24<\/sup>And they that are\r\nChrist\u2019s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25<\/sup>If\r\nwe live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26<\/sup>Let us not\r\nbe desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\nJeremiah\u2019s prophecy, he lays the initial blame for the \u201cbiting and devouring\u201d\r\nupon the pastors \u2013 the shepherds \u2013 saying, \u201c<\/span>They have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. They\r\nhave made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth<\/span>\r\nunto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth<\/span>\r\nit to heart.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Paul\r\ntakes it further as he writes the Galatians, however, and makes clear that each\r\nindividual who engages in \u201cbiting and devouring\u201d one another lacks love (<\/span>agape<\/span><\/i>) and is engaging in one or more of the\r\nworks of the flesh. He describes the \u201cworks of the flesh\u201d with the following\r\nlist of activities:<\/span> <\/span>Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry,\r\nwitchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings<\/span>, murders, drunkenness, revellings<\/span>,\r\nand such like.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Pretty\r\ngraphic, don\u2019t you think?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\ndon\u2019t remember who first said it, but Neville Johnson recently restated a\r\nspiritual principle which accurately describes the condition of the body of\r\nChrist today. It goes like this:<\/span>\r\n<\/span>What this generation tolerates, the\r\nnext generation will accept as \u201cnormal,\u201d or acceptable.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\u2019ve\r\nseen that in a growing tolerance and acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle\r\nwithin this generation. In the previous generation, one didn\u2019t even mention the\r\ntopic because it was so abhorrent and aberrant to human behavior. Without an\r\nawakening in the hearts of God\u2019s people in this generation and a refutation and\r\nabsolute rejection of homosexual activity as some kind of \u201cnorm\u201d we will see\r\nthis sin quite accepted within the body of Christ in the coming generation. The\r\nconsequence will be exactly what Jeremiah prophesied: \u201c<\/span>The whole land is made desolate, because no\r\nman layeth<\/span> it to heart.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nis the condition that prevailed in the lives and hearts of the \u201cbelievers\u201d who\r\nwere biting, devouring and cannibalizing one another in the cage. They were\r\ndesolate. They had no hope. They had no manifestation of love between\r\nthemselves. They had lost the authority and the power that comes when folks\r\nwalk in communion with the Lord. Had that communion been present \u2013 the intimacy\r\nof a love relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ \u2013 the authority and power to\r\ndeal with the crisis they found themselves in would have easily been accessible\r\nand<\/i><\/b> operational!<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\u2019ve\r\nsaid all that to say this: The \u201cworks of the flesh\u201d Paul lays out in Galatians,\r\nwhen tolerated within the body of Christ, leads to the breakdown of\r\nrelationship between God\u2019s people, and a breakdown in the level of leadership.\r\nThe more a society tolerates, the more those who are trained and groomed for\r\nleadership positions tolerate. It\u2019s one of the reasons why we have seen some\r\nmajor church denominations \u201cordain\u201d homosexuals and lesbians to pastoral positions.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

There\r\nhas been a breakdown of the moral and spiritual standards once held within\r\nthese organizations \u2013 so much so that people who don\u2019t even know the Lord are\r\nbeing elevated and \u201cordained\u201d to ministerial places when they don\u2019t even have a\r\ncall or beckoning from the Holy Spirit. As I\u2019ve already said earlier, this is\r\nthe picture of the Russian FSB officer in the dream.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

* * * * * * * *<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

DREAM NUMBER TWO<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Throughout\r\nmost of the past forty years, if there\u2019s one thing that both Della and I have\r\nlearned, there is no quicker way to demolish and remove a yoke of bondage than\r\nthrough prayer and fasting.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\nthe first dream, it was very apparent that a trap had been set for me by the\r\nEnemy \u2013 a trap designed for my destruction and death. My spiritual antennae had\r\nbeen alerted before departing on the trip. It was a good thing that I responded\r\nto the quickening of the Holy Spirit and instructed Della to wait until she\r\nheard from me before coming to Moscow. Being \u201cinstant in season and out of\r\nseason\u201d (II Timothy 4:2) applies to every part of our responsiveness to the\r\nHoly Spirit.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\nthis instance, there was no time to stop and consider the check from the Lord.\r\nIf I hadn\u2019t responded instantly and Della had gone with me, things could have\r\nturned out very differently. As it was, she was prompted by the Holy Spirit (in\r\nher dream) to be fasting and praying for my deliverance and restoration.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\r\nprayer and fasting became corporate. The spiritual principle of corporate\r\nprayer is revealed in Matthew 18:16b and Matthew 18:19-20:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Matthew\r\n18:16b<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\r\n\u2026I<\/span>n the mouth of two or\r\nthree witnesses every word may be established.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Matthew\r\n18:19-20<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span> <\/span>Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as\r\ntouching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father\r\nwhich is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name,\r\nthere am I in the midst of them.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Understand?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

There\r\ncertainly is power and authority through prayer; and the prayers of any\r\nrighteous individual, praying according to the heart and will of Father God,\r\nare certainly heard. However, when you add the agreement \u2013 the<\/span> <\/span>sumphoneo<\/span><\/i><\/span>\r\n<\/span>(symphony) \u2013 of\r\nindividuals there is logarithmic multiplication that takes place. It\u2019s almost\r\nlike a row of bulldozers (or tanks) coming at the Enemy. Take a look at the\r\nfollowing verses of Scripture.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Deuteronomy\r\n32:30<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span> <\/span>How should one chase a\r\nthousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them,\r\nand the LORD had shut them up?<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Joshua\r\n23:10<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span> <\/span>One man of you shall\r\nchase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth<\/span>\r\nfor you, as he hath promised you.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Here\u2019s\r\nhow Solomon put it in Ecclesiastes:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Ecclesiastes\r\n4:12<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>And if one prevail\r\nagainst him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly\r\nbroken.<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nwas obvious that I was up against a force of the Enemy that required greater\r\npower than I could release by myself. I had authority \u2013 all the authority I\r\nneeded against Satan \u2013 but there was a need for the hosts of Heaven to be\r\nreleased against him and to wage warfare in the realm of the Spirit.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\r\ntook place as Della gathered with others on a daily and consistent basis.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nhave a few other comments and observations to share, and in the interests of\r\nnot making this Coffee Break overlong, I\u2019ll save them for the next one.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Holy Spirit is moving and\r\noperating in this day and age in non-traditional ways; and any attempts we make\r\nto box Him in or try to second-guess Him are doomed to failure. Those who are\r\nwilling to hear what He has to say and are ready to \u201coperate outside the box\u201d\r\nwill see and experience the Glory of the Lord!<\/span><\/i><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n
