Hmmmm<\/span><\/b><\/span>...... \u00a0Guess that worked, OK.<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Anyway, how're y'all doin<\/span>' this\r\nfine and wonderful day?<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Gotcher<\/span><\/span><\/span> coffee yet?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 Ayyup<\/span>!\u00a0 Reckon we need to get on with things.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Because our last Coffee Break brought up the subject of\r\nthe attack on six different ministries -- and particularly television ministries,\r\nI thought I might begin today's discussion with a piece written by Jim Bramlett<\/span>.\u00a0 Jim<\/span> and I have\r\nknown each other since our <\/span>CBN<\/span><\/st1:stockticker> days in the 1970's and 1980's (he was <\/span>CBN<\/span><\/span><\/st1:stockticker>'s<\/span><\/span> VP and Director of Human\r\nResources).\u00c2\u00a0 He has commented on the recent reporting done by CBS and\r\nABC, and his observations are right on the mark!<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"Six major ministries have been asked to provide financial records to\r\nthe U.S. Senate, which is looking into charges of lavish spending.\u00a0\r\nWhether or not the Senate has the legal authority to do this is another matter.
\r\n
\r\nWithout facts and with apparent glee, some Christians immediately jumped on the\r\nbandwagon and have assumed they are guilty.\u00a0 This message will serve as a\r\ncaution to those who are prejudging the matter.\u00a0 Make sure you are not\r\nopposing God.
\r\n
\r\nThe other day I had a revelation from Jesus' own words, and it is attitude-altering.\u00c2<\/span>\u00a0 The below Scripture is from the lips of\r\nthe Son of God Himself, the Second Person of the Godhead.\u00c2<\/span>\u00a0\r\nHe speaks nothing but truth, and His words can be totally trusted.<\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"Assuredly,\r\nI say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or\r\nfather or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's,\r\nwho shall not receive a hundredfold<\/u> now in this time<\/u> -- houses\r\nand brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with\r\npersecutions<\/u> -- and in the age to come, eternal life\"<\/span><\/i><\/b>\r\n(Mark 10: 29:30, NKJV).<\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Tradition often conflicts with God's Word, and most\r\nChristians do not like those words of Jesus, and choose tradition, with this\r\nand other Scriptures.\u00a0 Plus, they disparagingly call those who receive the\r\nhundredfold as \"prosperity teachers,\" because they dare teach what\r\nGod says on the subject.\u00a0
\r\n
\r\nPlease reread the above words again carefully.\u00a0 Do<\/b><\/span>\r\nnot expect <\/b>U.S.<\/b><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>\r\nSenate, CNN, or the New York Times<\/i> to reference or even understand to\r\nthis Scripture<\/b>. (Emphasis, mine: RAC<\/st1:stockticker>)
\r\n
\r\nHow does this relate to those six ministries?\u00a0 It is amazingly relevant.\u00a0\r\nTo the best of my knowledge, most of them began with extremely humble and almost\r\ndestitute beginnings.\u00a0 When they started their ministry, I know one of them\r\nlived in a small trailer.\u00a0
\r\n
\r\nWhat did they all do?\u00a0 They forsook everything for the sake of Jesus and\r\nthe gospel, just like it says in the Mark 10 passage above.\u00a0 They struggled,\r\nsometime for years.\u00a0 But -- they began to sow into other ministries.\u00a0\r\nThey continued to struggle, and continued to sow, blessing others.
\r\n
\r\nEventually they began to prosper, also just as the passage says.\u00a0 And\r\neventually from their sowing and sacrifice, they began to reap, eventually \"a hundredfold -- now in this time\"<\/span><\/i><\/b>\r\n(or \"present age,\" NASB<\/st1:stockticker>).\u00a0\r\nThe ones I know about are still sowing greatly into the lives and ministries of\r\nothers.\u00a0 And they are still reaping \"in this present age\" -- not\r\nin heaven, which will come later, but now, just like Jesus said.\u00a0 That\r\npassage and the hundredfold prophecy has<\/span> literally\r\ncome to pass in their lives.
\r\n
\r\nSure, we have all seen instances of sacrificial Christians who have not seen\r\nthis hundredfold increase. But a cardinal principle is to not judge Scripture by\r\nanyone's personal experience.\u00a0 Scripture<\/span> must\r\nstand alone, by its own authority.\u00a0 It is truth. Those who believe and act\r\nupon it will see its promises manifested.
\r\n\u00a0
\r\nThere is another part of that passage which has startlingly also come to pass.\u00a0\r\nIt is where it says, \"with\r\npersecutions.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>\r\nNote they are being persecuted by the government, by the secular media, and by\r\nmany Christians because of their hundredfold increase!\u00a0 Jesus' words are\r\namazingly accurate (no surprise).
\r\n\u00a0
\r\nSummary:
\r\n<\/b>\u00a0
\r\nWe have ministries which began humbly and with little or nothing.\u00a0 They<\/span> believed, they sowed, and have now reaped a\r\nhundredfold, being greatly blessed. They are still sowing and blessing.\u00a0\r\nMany millions are being blessed by them.\u00a0 Wealth has come to some, maybe\r\nall of them, outside their ministries, with outside sources of income.
\r\n
\r\nAlong comes<\/span> disgruntled unbelievers who know not God\r\nor His Word.\u00a0 And just as the Scripture says, they are persecuting those\r\nwho have received God's blessings.\u00a0 But let us remember the source of\r\nwealth: \"Remember the LORD your God, for\r\nit is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant\u00e2<\/span>\u20ac\u00a6\"<\/span><\/i><\/b> (Deuteronomy 8:18<\/st1:time>, NIV).
\r\n\u00a0<\/span>
\r\nJust be careful in buying into what the world or false religious tradition says\r\nand in your accusations. You may find yourself opposing God.\"<\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Actually, if you read Acts 5:38-39, you find a leader\r\namong the Pharisees saying virtually the same thing to the religious people of\r\nhis day.\u00a0 The Jews, of course, considered Jesus -- and all Jews who called\r\nthemselves by the name of Christ -- to be heretics of the first order.\u00a0\r\nThey were considered treasonous to orthodox Judaism: people who had departed\r\nfrom the faith, and worthy of death.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The sect of the Pharisees was a defender of tradition like\r\nno others among the Jews; and they especially defended their own doctrines and\r\ntraditions to the exclusion of God's Word.\u00a0 Gamaliel<\/span><\/span> was chief among the Pharisees and a learned\r\nteacher of their laws.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Surprisingly enough, it was Gamaliel<\/span>\r\nwho stood up in their midst one day and said,<\/span> <\/span>\"And now I\r\nsay unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel\r\nor this work be of men, it will come to nought<\/span>: But\r\nif it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight\r\nagainst God.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Men and women today are pretty much in that same boat\r\ntoday.\u00a0 Human philosophy hasn't changed, and even among those who consider\r\nthemselves to be Christians there are those who think nothing of railing\r\nagainst other Christians whose doctrines or teachings or practices don't agree\r\nwith those they earnestly and fervently believe to be truth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That's the dumbest thing any Christian can do.\u00a0 There\r\nare lots of folks whose doctrines and teachings don't agree with those I hold,\r\nbut the last thing I'm going to do is slander or speak against them as\r\nindividuals.\u00a0 I may disagree with a doctrinal position, and state why, but\r\nI will not speak out against individuals who hold to or teach things I disagree\r\nwith.\u00a0 I'm glad to say that I can have -- and do! -- have real fellowship\r\nin Christ Jesus with brethren and cistern (!), uhh<\/span>, er<\/span>, sisters who believe something different than I do.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

There's an interesting thing about God's economy that many\r\nbelievers don't seem to understand.\u00a0 Just<\/span> because\r\nsomeone -- and particularly a teacher or preacher (or televangelist!) --\r\npreaches or teaches something we may think is wrong or in error doesn't mean\r\nthey have somehow lost God's approval or anointing.\u00a0 It<\/span>\r\ntakes a pretty extreme set of circumstances for someone in authority to lose\r\nthe approval or commissioning from God that put them where they are; and even\r\nif they, under extreme circumstances, lose that commission, the anointing for\r\ntheir position never leaves.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Witness King Saul who continually violated God's command\r\nto the place where he lost God's approval to be on the throne, and have his\r\nposterity continue<\/span> in authority in <\/span>Israel<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>.\u00a0 Despite that, David still recognized that it was God's\r\nanointing that put Saul in that place of leadership.\u00a0 He wasn't about to\r\ntouch \"God's anointed,\" or harm him in any way so long as Saul sat on\r\nthe throne.\u00a0 He was content to wait God's timing to remove Saul, and let\r\nSaul's own sin become his undoing.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Thus David wrote,<\/span> <\/span>\"Touch not mine\r\nanointed, and do my prophets no harm.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span> <\/span>(<\/span><\/span>I Corinthians <\/span>16:22<\/span><\/st1:time>, Psalm 105:15)<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

OK.\u00a0 Enough of this digression.<\/span>\u00a0\r\nWell, actually it isn't a digression since it is germane to out discussion on\r\nKingdom Economics.\u00a0 We wrapped up our last Coffee Break talking about Adam\r\nand Eve's life of wealth and prosperity in the Garden.\u00a0 They lived a life\r\ntotally devoid of need of any kind.\u00a0 They lived a life of power and\r\nauthority.\u00a0 They lived the dominion that God blessed them with.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That dominion was their assignment from God.\u00a0 So long\r\nas they remained in their assignment and faithful to the Word that God had\r\ngiven them, they lacked for nothing.\u00a0 It was when they departed from that\r\nassignment and violated God's command by eating of humanly-gained knowledge\r\ninstead of walking in the revelation they had by the Spirit that they lost both\r\ntheir assignment <\/span>AND<\/span><\/st1:stockticker> their provision.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I've quoted this Scripture several times already, but I'll\r\nquote it again.\u00a0<\/span> \"Therefore I say unto\r\nyou, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink;\r\nnor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat,\r\nand the body than raiment?\u00a0 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not,\r\nneither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth<\/span> them. Are ye not much better than they?\u00a0 Which\r\nof you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the\r\nlilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And\r\nyet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one\r\nof these.\u00a0 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to\r\nday is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you,\r\nO ye of little faith?<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"Therefore take no thought, saying, What<\/span> shall we eat? or<\/span>, What shall\r\nwe drink? or<\/span>, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?\u00a0\r\n(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:<\/span>) for\r\nyour heavenly Father knoweth<\/span> that ye have need of all\r\nthese things.\u00a0 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his\r\nrighteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.\u00a0 Take\r\ntherefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the\r\nthings of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.\"\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span>(<\/span><\/span>Matthew <\/span>6:25<\/span><\/st1:time>-34)<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

What Jesus is really after is for His people to seek Him\r\nfirst.\u00a0 The<\/span> priority is God's assignment for us.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Brother, has this ever been screwed up in the thought\r\nprocesses of most folks today!<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Most people figure they will go out and find their job\r\nfirst.\u00a0 Wherever that job or position takes them, it matters not.\u00a0\r\nOnce they've arrived at their place of work, they then go looking for a church\r\nthey hope to fit in.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

When it seems like they just don't fit, and can't find a\r\nchurch where they feel part of the family, and know that this is God's place\r\nfor them, they frequently just withdraw from church completely, and from any\r\nreal fellowship with other believers.\u00a0 Their walk with God suffers, and\r\nthe wonder why things just aren't working out for them.\u00a0 They're making\r\nlots of money, but they're miserable.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

When folks figure out that their first priority is to find\r\nout where God wants them to fit in His body, and stop making their paychecks,\r\ntheir positions, their titles and their chosen occupations the main priority in\r\ntheir lives, it's amazing how things begin to work!<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let me share with you a simple process for all believers\r\nto follow.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

1.\u00a0<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Begin seeking God for your placement in the body.\u00a0\r\nFind out what body of believers you belong in.\u00a0 If necessary, and there is\r\na quickening in your spirit to do so, move to another town or city.\u00a0 This\r\ndoesn't need to be a herky-jerky thing!\u00a0 If you live in some little Podunk\r\ntown or community, and there simply isn't a church that is moving in the things\r\nof God, and you find yourself stale spiritually, start checking out other towns\r\nor cities.\u00a0 Check out churches in other towns or cities -- even if you\r\nhave to drive some distance to get there, and even if you have to move cross\r\ncountry.\u00a0 The spiritual law that applies for you is this:<\/span> <\/span>\"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask<\/span>\r\nof God, that giveth<\/span> to all men liberally, and upbraideth<\/span> not; and it shall be given him<\/u>.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span> <\/span>(<\/span><\/span>James 1:5 -- emphasis mine)\u00c2\u00a0\r\nGod will NOT leave you in the dark.\u00c2<\/span>\u00a0 Promise!<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

2.\u00a0<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Once you find your placement in the body, seek out\r\nemployment in that place.\u00a0 Ask<\/span> the Lord about your\r\nchosen career or job skills.\u00a0 If need be, be ready to go to work in another\r\ncareer or area of employment.\u00a0 If necessary, go to the pastor or any of\r\nthe leaders in your assigned church and ask them to pray and agree with you for\r\nGod's job assignment.\u00a0 There may even be an employer in that new church or\r\nbody of believers looking for someone with your skills and training, or even\r\nretrain you to fit the job or position he or she has in mind.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

3.\u00a0<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Ask the Lord to find and prepare your new house (assuming\r\nyou have moved to a new community), and to orchestrate favorable terms and\r\nconditions for your purchase.\u00a0 Even if you haven't changed communities, be\r\nready and willing to change and move into another home should God direct.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The name of this is \"flexibility.\"\u00a0 The\r\nHoly Spirit is always looking for folks willing to flex, willing to move,\r\nwilling to uproot, willing to be placed so that He can put us with those who\r\nneed what we have in God, as well as putting us with folks who have what we\r\nneed.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let's not forget.\u00a0 The objective of the Lord is to\r\nhave a complete body -- a body that moves and operates according to His will,\r\nHis heart's desire, and His purposes for a power-wielding, authority-speaking,\r\ngrace-exhibiting, love-manifesting, Spirit-moving-and-sensitive people whose\r\nfirst objective is Him!<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hmmm...did<\/span><\/span> that come out OK?\u00a0 Anyway, you get the picture.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

For more than a year, our oldest son, Chris (Christian)\r\nhad been being pricked by the Holy Spirit to leave <\/span>Alaska<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> and move\r\nhere to <\/span>Washington<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> to be with us and get involved in what God is doing in our\r\nmidst.\u00a0 The<\/span> Lord had already made clear to Della\r\nand me that this was a move that would be in the works.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

This wasn't just a hard decision for him to make: it was\r\nnear-impossible!\u00a0 Not since Chris was roughly eight years old (when we\r\nleft <\/span>Long Beach<\/span><\/st1:PlaceName> <\/span>Christian<\/span><\/st1:PlaceName> <\/span>Center<\/span><\/st1:PlaceName><\/st1:place> and moved back to <\/span>Alaska<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State>) had he\r\nlived outside of <\/span>Alaska<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State>.\u00a0 Although his wife, Chelsi<\/span>, had\r\ngrown up in <\/span>Central America<\/span><\/st1:place> and finally moved to <\/span>Alaska<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> with her\r\nmother when she was in her late teens, she had never lived as an adult outside\r\nof <\/span>Alaska<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State>.\u00a0 None of their four children had any clue to what life\r\nwas like outside of the \"Last Frontier.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The church they had been a part of for most of their\r\nmarried life had gone through some horrific upheaval and they simply didn't fit\r\nthere anymore.\u00a0 They<\/span> had tried one church after\r\nanother to no avail.\u00a0 They simply didn't fit or feel a part no matter what\r\nthey did.\u00a0 It wasn't that there was anything wrong with any of the\r\nchurches they tried.\u00a0 There simply was no sense in their spirits that they\r\n\"belonged.\"\u00a0 There was no place in the Spirit where they fit.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Chris' occupation has for many years been that of a civil\r\nengineer.\u00a0 He is uniquely qualified and certified for the operation of\r\nsome of the world's largest pieces of heavy equipment including cranes large\r\nenough to hoist ships out of the water.\u00a0 He is one of eight people in the\r\nworld who have worked for British Petroleum digging trenches on the ocean floor\r\nand laying pipeline.\u00a0 That does make his job somewhat flexible, meaning\r\nthat with his qualifications he can find appropriate employment almost anywhere\r\n-- including here in Washington.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

He decided in July of this year to take a break and check\r\nthings out here in Sunnyside.\u00a0 Although he was here for only ten days, we\r\nwent house-looking and came up with a house absolutely suited to his family's\r\nneeds.\u00a0 There was just one problem.\u00a0 There<\/span>\r\nwas another buyer in front of him who was better prepared financially to purchase\r\nthis home on short notice.\u00a0 The other buyer also had offered about $5,000\r\nmore than Chris was prepared to offer.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I can see that telling this story and doing justice to it\r\nwill take longer than this Coffee Break needs to be, so let's pick it up here\r\nin our next discussion.\u00a0 This is a great story, folks!\u00a0 It\r\ndemonstrates Matthew 6:33 as well as anything I could possibly describe, and it\r\nillustrates the three-step outline I just drew for you.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\r\n\r\n
