class=GramE>Nawwww<\/span><\/span><span class=GramE>.<\/span>\u00a0\r\n<span class=GramE>Sometimes<\/span>, though, I think I need them when I first\r\nwake up in the morning with all the hours I've been keeping lately.\u00a0\r\nBrother!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Believe it or not, I had Kingdom Economics written and\r\nready to publish last Monday.\u00a0 I actually thought I might get three Coffee\r\nBreaks out last week, but then reality hit.\u00a0 I won't even try to give you\r\na rundown of the week.\u00a0 You'd get tired just reading about it!<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Anyway, we had a spectacular weekend with Ed <span\r\nclass=SpellE>Silvoso<\/span>.\u00a0 I -- with tongue firmly in cheek -- in a\r\nconversation with some friends laughing referred to Ed as Kenneth Copeland with\r\nan Argentinean accent.\u00a0 Besides the fact that the Lord has given Ed a\r\nunique revelation for evangelizing and changing whole communities, much of what\r\nhe has to share might easily fit within the context of what Kenneth Copeland,\r\nJerry <span class=SpellE>Savelle<\/span>, Bill Winston, <span class=SpellE>Creflo<\/span>\r\nDollar, Jesse <span class=SpellE>Duplantis<\/span>, Keith Butler, Keith Moore,\r\nand a host of other \"Faith\" preachers share.\u00a0 Despite the fact\r\nthat he was not a student at <span class=SpellE>Rhema<\/span> Bible Institute\r\nnor did he sit under Kenneth <span class=SpellE>Hagin's<\/span> teaching, he\r\nobviously has received much of the same revelation that Kenneth <span\r\nclass=SpellE>Hagin<\/span> shared and has passed on to thousands of believers in\r\nChrist.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Ed <span class=SpellE>Silvoso<\/span> has his own way --\r\nand revelation -- of sharing the message of faith, believing God's Word and\r\nacting on it, and putting <span class=SpellE>shoeleather<\/span> to the Gospel\r\nof Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>He<\/span> doesn't pull any punches,\r\neither, despite his humorous presentation.\u00a0 He makes no bones about saying\r\nthat \"<span class=SpellE>Charismatics<\/span>\" and\r\n\"Pentecostals\" who HAVE received the baptism of the Holy Spirit\r\nabsolutely waste the power and authority available to them by not demonstrating\r\nthe gifts and miracles of the Spirit on a regular and consistent basis.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>I'll leave you with one thing he shared this weekend that\r\nreally sticks:<\/span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:\"Arial\",\"sans-serif\"'>\r\n<\/span><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#009933'>\"The greatest obstacle to walking and operating in\r\nfaith is memory.\"<\/span><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:lime'>\u00a0<\/span><span style='font-size:\r\n10.0pt;font-family:\"Arial\",\"sans-serif\"'> <\/span><span class=GramE><span\r\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Chew on that one for awhile.<\/span><\/span><span\r\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>\u00a0 <span class=GramE>Then<\/span> compare that\r\nstatement to Philippians 3:13-14.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#006600'>\"Brethren, I count not myself to\r\nhave apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are\r\nbehind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward\r\nthe mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>That's actually a good place for us to pick up with\r\ntoday's discussion.\u00a0 Before we get started, however, don't forget to grab\r\nyourself a good cup of that dark-roasted Columbian, or Sumatran, French Roast\r\n-- something really dark, you understand <span class=SpellE>so's<\/span> you\r\ndon't have so much caffeine or tannic acid to upset your stomach -- and set a\r\nspell while we talk.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Ed said it uniquely, but he captured the essence of one of\r\nthe biggest blockades to Christians operating in faith, or obeying the Word of\r\nthe Lord when he said that memory was the greatest obstacle to faith.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Why?<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>It's simple, really.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>We<\/span>\r\nremember what happened the last time we tried something.\u00a0 We remember our\r\nfailures.\u00a0 We remember the time we prayed for healing -- maybe over and\r\nover and over again -- for ourselves, a family member, or a friend, and nothing\r\nhappened.\u00a0 We thought we prayed in faith, but there were no results that\r\nfollowed.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>We remember our failures in business.\u00a0 We remember\r\nthe mistakes we've made at different points in our lives, and Satan just loves\r\nto bring up these mistakes or failures.\u00a0 Naturally, he amplifies them to\r\nsuch a degree that they've become unbelievably horrible.\u00a0 He instills fear\r\n-- the fear of failure -- and reminds us of our failures every time we want to\r\nstep out in faith in obedience to the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>This, my friends, is the product of eating of the Tree of\r\nKnowledge -- and this knowledge brings fear.\u00a0 No wonder, too!\u00a0 We're\r\neating of the Knowledge of Evil.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>We also have memories of our successes.\u00a0 We know what\r\nworked in the past.\u00a0 We've learned exactly how to accomplish certain\r\ntasks, and we pride ourselves on our abilities to accomplish those things.\u00a0\r\n<span class=GramE>We're<\/span> proud of our skills and talents.\u00a0 We prize\r\nthem.\u00a0 We think highly of ourselves and our reasoning ability.\u00a0 We\r\nlike the fact that we can think our way through difficult situations --\r\nespecially situations that no one else around us seems to have the ability to\r\ndeal with -- and it makes us feel really good!\u00a0 We feel safe and secure in\r\nour money-making ability.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Are you beginning to get the picture I'm painting for you?\u00a0\r\nThis is also eating of the Tree of Knowledge -- and specifically, the Knowledge\r\nof Good.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>(<\/span>P.S.\u00a0 Just in case you think I'm\r\nsaying all these things from a philosophical standpoint, think again!\u00a0 I\r\nmay be describing you, but I'm also talking about what I've had to overcome\r\npersonally.)<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Whether you eat of the Knowledge of Good or the Knowledge\r\nof Evil, both are deadly.\u00a0 Both eventually result in death.\u00a0 The\r\nKingdom of God does not work by, through, or because of\r\n\"Knowledge.\"\u00a0 The Kingdom of God operates in the realm of the\r\nSpirit.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>Everything<\/span> that takes place in a Kingdom\r\neconomy takes place because it has first been resolved, created in, through and\r\nby the Spirit using Kingdom principles that defy human reasoning and rationale.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>The apostle Paul put it like this.\u00a0 (Quoting I\r\nCorinthians 2:14-16 from the Amplified Version)\u00a0<\/span><span\r\nstyle='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:\"Arial\",\"sans-serif\"'> <\/span><b><i><span\r\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#006600'>\"But the natural, <span class=SpellE>nonspiritual<\/span>\r\nman does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings\r\nand revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense)\r\nto him; and he is incapable of knowing them -- of progressively recognizing,\r\nunderstanding and becoming better acquainted with them -- because they are\r\nspiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#006600'>\"But the spiritual man tries all\r\nthings -- [that is] he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and\r\ndiscerns all things; yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one (no\r\nnatural or unspiritual person). -- He can read the meaning of everything, but\r\nno one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#006600'>\"For who has known or understood\r\nthe mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct\r\n[Him] and give Him <span class=SpellE>knowledge?<\/span>\u00a0 But we have the\r\nmind of Christ, the Messiah, and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes)\r\nof His heart.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>That's a mouthful, to be sure, but it illustrates perfectly\r\nwhat I've been saying.\u00a0 No person -- man or woman -- who operates in a\r\nnatural realm, <span class=GramE>a thinking<\/span> or reasoning realm devoid of\r\nrevelation by and through the Holy Spirit, has the ability to perceive or\r\ndiscern spiritual principles, laws and concepts.\u00a0 For the\r\nnatural-reasoning mind, the individual who depends on human rationale to arrive\r\nat his or her decisions and choices, is simply out to lunch when it comes to\r\nthe things of the Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>In order, therefore, for Christians to think, move,\r\noperate and show forth the power, the authority, the grace, the love, the mercy\r\nof the Lord Jesus Christ with provable, demonstrable results, they must\r\n\"sell\" all they've got in the natural realm and \"buy\" using\r\ngold tried in the fires of overcoming.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Before we continue with the story of David Dorsett I was\r\nsharing with you in our last Coffee Break, let me give you one other\r\nillustration that will help you clarify this picture.\u00a0 This is an\r\nillustration that has puzzled many folks because of the wording in our English\r\ntexts, but hopefully my example will be clear to you.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>If you look at the life of Abraham, you see a man whose\r\nlife exemplified the blessing of the Lord to such a degree that following his\r\ndeath at 175 years of age, the blessing of the Lord that was upon him was\r\nforever referred to as \"The Blessing of Abraham.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Genesis 25:5 tells us that<\/span><span style='font-size:\r\n10.0pt;font-family:\"Arial\",\"sans-serif\"'> <\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:\r\n13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#006600'>\"And\r\nAbraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>The very next verse seems to contradict that statement.\u00a0\r\nVerse 6 reads,<\/span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:\"Arial\",\"sans-serif\"'>\r\n<\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#006600'>\"But unto the sons of the\r\nconcubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from\r\nIsaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>If Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac, how was it that\r\nhe could afterward give \"gifts\" unto the sons of his concubines?\u00a0\r\nWhat could he have left to give if he gave \"all that he had\" to\r\nIsaac?<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>The answer is quite simple, really.\u00a0 Abraham gave\r\n\"stuff\" to the other sons.\u00a0 He gave worldly goods, possessions,\r\nearthly valuables to them.\u00a0 Isaac certainly received \"stuff\"\r\nfrom Abraham, but he received the one thing that no one else could receive: the\r\nblessing!\u00a0 It was the blessing of God that empowered Abraham to become\r\nwhat was likely the richest man (or certainly one of the richest) on the planet.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Abraham had earlier made it clear to the King of Sodom\r\n(see Genesis 14:22-24) that<\/span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:\r\n\"Arial\",\"sans-serif\"'> <\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\r\n\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#006600'>\"I have\r\nlifted up my hand and sworn to the Lord God Most High, the possessor and maker\r\nof heaven and earth, that I would not take a thread or a shoelace or anything\r\nthat is yours, lest you should say, I have made Abram <span class=SpellE>rich.<\/span>\u00a0\r\n[Take all] except only what my young men have eaten, and the share of the men\r\n[allies] who went with me, <span class=SpellE>Aner<\/span>, <span class=SpellE>Eshcol<\/span>,\r\nand <span class=SpellE>Mamre<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;\r\nfont-family:\"Arial\",\"sans-serif\"'> <\/span><span style='font-size:13.5pt;\r\nfont-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#663300'>(<\/span><span\r\nstyle='font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#663300'>these\r\nmen were Amorites, <st1:stockticker w:st=\"on\">RAC<\/st1:stockticker><\/span><span\r\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>)<\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\r\n\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#006600'>; let them take\r\ntheir portion.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Abraham had a covenant with the <span class=SpellE>Lord.<\/span>\u00a0\r\nThat covenant meant that God was the absolute source of all that he had, the\r\nsource of all he would become, the source of the power and authority that\r\nworked in and through him.\u00a0 It was a covenant of God's Blessing.\u00a0\r\nThat blessing was the power, the means by which Abraham became so rich and\r\npowerful that kings feared him.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>For Abraham to give the sons of the concubines worldly\r\ngoods may have delighted those sons, but they didn't receive the means or the\r\npower to continue to possess, to gain even more wealth, riches, power and\r\nauthority.\u00a0 The \"Blessing of Abraham\" was an extraordinary empowering\r\nby the Spirit of God.\u00a0 It made him who and what he was in the earth.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>THAT was what Abraham gave to Isaac.\u00a0 <span\r\nclass=GramE>With<\/span> that blessing, Isaac would continue to operate\r\nsupernaturally in and through the economy of the Kingdom of God.\u00a0 We'll\r\nget into this picture a little more a bit later in this series, but hopefully\r\nyou are getting the idea.\u00a0 Abraham didn't get all that he had through any\r\ngreat genius or ability of his own.\u00a0 He didn't become rich beyond words\r\nbecause of any inherent business acumen.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>He didn't take out <span class=SpellE>Amraphel<\/span> king\r\nof Shinar, <span class=SpellE>Arioch<\/span> king of <span class=SpellE>Ellasar<\/span>,\r\n<span class=SpellE>Chedorlaomer<\/span> king of Elam (history refers to him as\r\nHammurabi), and Tidal, king of nations (<\/span><span style='font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#663300'>the Hebrew is <span class=SpellE><i>Goiim<\/i><\/span><\/span><span\r\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>) and their armies using only 318 servants from his own\r\nhousehold because of some great, stupendous, military strategy he cooked up on\r\nhis own.\u00a0 He had supernatural, divine might and power working in, through,\r\nand with him in order to achieve such a miraculous defeat of some of the most\r\npowerful armies on earth.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>There was no way in the natural realm that Abraham could\r\nhave accomplished <span class=GramE>all that<\/span> he did.\u00a0 No natural\r\nreasoning was going to get Abraham such <span class=GramE>military prowess, nor<\/span>\r\nbusiness acumen in order to gain the wealth that he possessed.\u00a0 Those\r\nthings came because Abraham exercised implicit trust in the Lord and declared\r\nby faith<\/span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:\"Arial\",\"sans-serif\"'>\r\n<\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#006600'>\"those things which <span\r\nclass=GramE>be<\/span> not as though they were.\"<\/span><\/i><\/b><span\r\nstyle='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>\u00a0 <span class=GramE>(<\/span>See Romans <st1:time\r\nHour=\"16\" Minute=\"17\" w:st=\"on\">4:17<\/st1:time>)<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>It may seem like I'm going around a 40-acre field to get\r\nback to my story of David Dorsett, but I wanted you to understand the context\r\nin which the Lord spoke to David (DD) and said to him, \"Sell all thou\r\nhast, and come and follow me.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Because DD was -- as previously noted -- an exceptionally\r\nbrilliant man with a genius-level IQ, his mind immediately put up a blockade to\r\nthis Word from the Lord.\u00a0 Over a period of several weeks, I attempted to\r\nhelp him understand what the Holy Spirit was getting at, but he simply did not\r\nwant to hear <span class=SpellE>it.<\/span><span class=GramE>\u00a0 His<\/span>\r\nstock answer to my sharing was, \"What do you mean, \"sell\" my\r\nreasoning?\u00a0 That's dumb.\u00a0 Reasoning is not something you sell.\u00a0\r\nI regard this as a treasure from the Lord that needs to be guarded.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>A month or so after I had stood with him in his driveway\r\nwhile he puzzled over having received this Word, David was given another\r\nopportunity to hear what God was saying.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Driving from Spokane to Seattle by way of Yakima, he was\r\non U.S. 395 heading south toward the Tri-Cities area when he spotted a hitchhiker\r\nstanding alongside the road.\u00a0 David was the kind of person who loved to\r\npick up hitchhikers so he could talk to them about the Lord.\u00a0 His\r\nimmediate reaction was to stop and pick up this man.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>A few minutes after they were back on the freeway, he\r\nintroduced himself and launched into a conversation with the hitchhiker.\u00a0\r\nThe hitchhiker listened, smiled, and then introduced himself.\u00a0 He began to\r\ntalk about his own past and how he had come to know the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Leaving the Tri-Cities area on I-82, heading towards\r\nYakima, the hitchhiker said to DD, \"The Lord sent me on today's journey.\u00a0\r\nLast night, the Holy Spirit told me that you would pick me <span class=SpellE>up.<\/span><span\r\nclass=GramE>\u00a0 He<\/span> gave me your name and your description.\u00a0 I\r\nknew when you stopped to pick me up that the message of the Lord given me was\r\nspecifically directed to you.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>DD was really piqued.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>The<\/span>\r\nhitchhiker had his undivided attention, now.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>\"My name is David Salzburg.\u00a0 Up until about\r\nthree years or so ago, I was a multi-millionaire with more money and possessions\r\nthan I knew what to do with.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>A<\/span> day came when the\r\nLord tapped me on the shoulder and reminded me of a vow I'd made in a foxhole\r\nin Vietnam.\u00a0 I told the Lord if He'd get me out of a crossfire where I\r\nfaced certain death and get me home from the war whole and in one piece, I'd do\r\nwhatever He asked of me, go wherever He sent me, and say whatever He said to\r\nsay.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>Of course, you've all heard or read this story (the same\r\none I shared in Kingdom Economics <st1:stockticker w:st=\"on\">III<\/st1:stockticker>),\r\nso you know what David Salzburg had been through and how the Lord spoke to him.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>David Salzburg went on to share with DD how he'd been\r\nhitchhiking for more than a year, just going wherever the Lord directed,\r\nsharing with folks whatever Word the Lord gave him for them.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>\"In a way,\" he said, \"I'm in sort of the\r\nsame place that Jesus was when He was on the road traveling from place to\r\nplace.\u00a0 Jesus made the statement that 'the Son of Man hath not where to\r\nlay His head' meaning that he didn't have houses or hotels or whatever to stay\r\nin when he traveled.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>That's<\/span> me.\u00a0 Sometimes\r\npeople open their homes to me.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>Sometimes<\/span> I just\r\ngo to the local Sheriff's office and ask for a jail to sleep in overnight.\u00a0\r\nIn any case, the Lord always provides me with a place to stay and food to\r\neat.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>DD looked at David Salzburg with a puzzled look on his\r\nface and said, \"So if you knew you were going to meet me, that I was going\r\nto pick you up, and the Lord gave you a specific message for me, WHAT is THAT\r\nmessage?\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>\"Sell all thou hast, and come and follow me,\"\r\nresponded David Salzburg.\u00a0 If I said that DD's mouth dropped open, it\r\nwould be an understatement.\u00a0 He had heard the Lord speak this same Word to\r\nhim in an audible voice just over a month earlier.\u00a0 He'd listened to me a\r\nfew days later explain exactly what the Holy Spirit was trying to communicate.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>He'd rejected what I'd shared because it just didn't fit\r\nwith his logical mind.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>Now<\/span> the Lord was giving\r\nhim the same, exact Word, but this time through a complete and total stranger\r\n-- a hitchhiker whose personal story was one of living out that Word at great\r\npersonal cost.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>You can well believe that DD was quiet the rest of the way\r\ndriving into Yakima.\u00a0 He was both frustrated and angry, but he didn't want\r\nDavid Salzburg to see his anger.\u00a0 As they pulled off the freeway into\r\nYakima, David Salzburg said, \"If you would, just drop me at the Sheriff's\r\noffice.\u00a0 I'll get me a jail cell for the night and be on my way again\r\ntomorrow.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>\"This is a Word you've heard from the Lord\r\nbefore,\" said David Salzburg to David Dorsett as they parked in front of\r\nthe Sheriff's office.\u00a0 \"I'm only confirming what God has already said\r\nto you.\u00a0 Don't let it fall by the wayside.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>As I've already noted in this narrative, Della and I were\r\nliving in <st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:City w:st=\"on\">Post Falls<\/st1:City>, <st1:State\r\n w:st=\"on\">Idaho<\/st1:State><\/st1:place> at the time on the 160-acre ranch\r\nowned by Earle and Marcia <span class=SpellE>Treend<\/span> known as\r\n\"Trails End.\"\u00a0 The phone rang at the ranch not long after David\r\nDorsett arrived back home in <st1:City w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Seattle<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>\"When will you be coming through <st1:City w:st=\"on\"><st1:place\r\n w:st=\"on\">Seattle<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> again on one of your round-trips to <st1:City\r\nw:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Anchorage<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>,\" he\r\nasked.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>\"<\/span>We need to talk.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>It was a couple of weeks later that DD related every\r\ndetail of the foregoing story to me as we stood outside his garage door.\u00a0\r\nHis wife was preparing for a floral show and Della was helping her.\u00a0 DD was\r\nloading and transporting the displays to the show-site on the waterfront.\u00a0\r\nI lent a hand in the process and it gave us several hours to share with each\r\nother.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>\"David,\" I said to him, \"This is not a\r\ncomplicated Word at all.\u00a0 <span class=GramE>You've<\/span> got to come to\r\nthe place of willingness and readiness to dump all of your thought processes,\r\nyour personal knowledge, your reasoning -- no matter how brilliant it may be in\r\nthe natural realm, and simply be open to receive whatever God wants to give you\r\n-- no matter how illogical it may seem to your rational mind.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-family:\"Garamond\",\"serif\";mso-bidi-font-family:\r\nArial;color:#663300'>We'll finish the story of David Dorsett and his response\r\nto the Lord in our next Coffee
