ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK; SUPERNATURAL MATURITY, Part 18<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let me share a quick but funny story before we begin. Some weeks\r\nback I shared with you the changes that have been taking place in our son,\r\nJoshua. The overcoming of temper outbursts and anger has been an ongoing\r\nstruggle. A couple weeks or so ago, he became angry with his kids over some\r\nrelatively insignificant issue and blew up at them. The scared reaction on\r\ntheir faces brought him to reality with a start and he dropped to his knees.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

He said to the children, \"Kids, Daddy has a problem with a\r\nwicked spirit, and that wicked spirit wants me to throw temper fits and be\r\nangry when there is no need.\"<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Turning to Jasmine (she turns 7 in August) and Elijah (who just\r\nturned 6), he said, \"Will you lay hands on me and command that evil spirit\r\nto get out of me?\"<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Very promptly, Jasmine and Elijah jumped to their feet, went\r\nover and laid hands on their dad's head and Jasmine said (with Elijah echoing),\r\n\"You bad spirit, you come out of our daddy right now in Jesus' name and leave\r\nhim alone. You get out of here!\" (Incidentally, all four of Josh &\r\nMichelle's kids are bold in their prayers!)<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

In that moment, the kitchen cabinet doors flew open with a bang,\r\nand pots and pans came flying out, scattering on the kitchen floor. It was\r\nstartling, but amusing, to say the least, and it was a visible demonstration\r\nfor all of them of the authority we have over the Enemy. Even children, who act\r\nin faith, believing that the Word of God has authority to work through them,\r\nwork signs and wonders! We were really blessed when Josh called and shared what\r\ntook place. And the resulting changes in him are showing! Praise God!<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Some\r\nweeks (months?) back, Kim Potter asked me if I could do an expanded translation\r\nof Psalm 51:12. It kind of got lost in the shuffle, but when I began to read it\r\nin Hebrew this past week, I was struck at just how much that cry of David\u2019s\r\nheart actually plays into this particular study and area of sharing. <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\norder to see this in its proper context, understand that David was crying out\r\nin repentance to the Lord for his sin of adultery. He prefaces this by saying\r\nthe following.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Take\r\na look:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Psalm\r\n51:11<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy Holy Spirit\r\nfrom me.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Now\r\nhe says,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Psalm\r\n51:12<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy\r\nfree Spirit.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nphrases used in this statement in Hebrew really clarifies what David was asking\r\nfor.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Take me back to the beginning when your light generated that\r\nsame transforming and creative light which transformed me with your character,\r\nbringing liberty, deliverance and prosperity; sustain and lift me back up with\r\nyour magnanimous and princely Spirit.<\/span>\u00a0(Psalm 51:12, RAC Translation\r\n& Amplification)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\r\ntakes us back to something David had written earlier, most likely when he was\r\non the run for his life from Saul.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Psalm\r\n27:1<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>The\u00a0<\/span>LORD\u00a0is<\/i>\u00a0my light and my salvation; whom shall I\r\nfear? the LORD\u00a0is<\/i>\u00a0the strength of my life; of whom shall I be\r\nafraid?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nphraseology used in the first part of this verse is nearly identical to that of\r\nPsalm 51:12, and close to that of Psalm 34. The light of His presence\r\neliminates fear and terror. It brings peace and joy. It prepares the way for\r\nintimate communication in the realm of the Spirit \u2014 a kind of two-way transference\r\nback and forth that needs no words, rather inputting and imparting His Word\r\ninto our being!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\u2019ve\r\nkind of run down some rabbit trails, and I want to get back to Isaiah\u2019s\r\nprophecy.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\r\nprophecy could not have been any more applicable today. If ever there was a\r\ntime when spiritual darkness and incredible ignorance of God\u2019s plan and destiny\r\nwas more in evidence, in all my research of past history, I cannot think of a\r\ntime when \u201csubstitute Christs<\/span>\u201d (antichrists) more\r\nmanifested their ignorance of the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\r\nsaid, let\u2019s review Isaiah\u2019s prophecy.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Isaiah\r\n60:1-7<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of<\/span>\u00a0the LORD is risen upon thee.\u00a0For, behold, the\r\ndarkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD\r\nshall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the\r\nbrightness of thy rising.\u00a0Lift up thine<\/span> eyes\r\nround about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee:\r\nthy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at\u00a0thy<\/i>\u00a0side.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Then thou shalt<\/span> see, and flow\r\ntogether, and thine<\/span> heart shall fear, and be\r\nenlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the\r\nforces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian<\/span> and Ephah<\/span>; all they from\r\nSheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth\r\nthe praises of the LORD.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

All the flocks of Kedar<\/span> shall be\r\ngathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth<\/span>\r\nshall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and\r\nI will glorify the house of my glory.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nis going to get a bit windy, but let\u2019s take this step-by-step and amplify this\r\nprophecy out of the Hebrew.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Stand up! Accomplish, confirm and decree the dawn, the break of\r\nday \u2014 that moment when light overwhelms the darkness! That light has been\r\nintroduced to the world and reached maturity in you and the splendor, the\r\nweight, the glory and honor of the Lord now irradiates you!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

See and consider the misery, the destruction, the sorrow, the\r\nwickedness, the ignorance and death that will cover the earth, and the\r\nimpenetrable gloom the people: but God Himself will manifest on you irradiating\r\nand exposing His light, His life, His character and makeup; and His splendor,\r\nHis weight, His glory and His honor will be visible and discerned as inhabiting\r\nyou.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That will cause the masses, the heathen, the nations of the world\r\nto be drawn and come, desiring to be conversant with that brightness, that\r\nrevelation of the Lord that is in and upon you; and kings, royalty, heads of\r\nstate and leaders of every kind will come, desiring to receive the light of the\r\nrevelation now coming forth from you.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

[Forget the past! Stop focusing on what was, and what you have\r\nseen in the past!] Pay attention now to what is taking place around you. See?\r\nThey are all gathering around and assembling before you! They are coming to\r\nyou! Do you see them? Your sons, your grandsons, your great-grandsons \u2014 all\r\nthose whom you have nourished in the past \u2014 are coming from remote and distant\r\nplaces; your daughters, granddaughters and great-granddaughters are returning\r\nto receive the impartation of faith and trust [so there will be a permanence of\r\nthat revelatory character they see in you.]\u00a0Isaiah 60:1-4, RAC Translation\r\n& Amplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

When that takes place, you will see and be utterly astounded at\r\nthe overflow of joy that will flood all of you; your heart, your soul, your\r\nunderstanding will be awestricken, and your mental restrictions \u2014 (your\r\nreligious boxes) \u2014 will be broken; [the scope of your understanding will be\r\ngreatly enlarged] because the masses and wealth of many peoples<\/span>\r\nwill suddenly turn to your favor (those who have opposed you will be\r\noverturned, and the attitudes of those who\u2019ve doubted who you really are (and\r\nyour integrity in God) will utterly change as they are converted; the wealth,\r\nthe power, and the efficient might of the nations will turn to you, resorting\r\nto you as their strength.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Companies of laborers with their burden-bearers will cover [your\r\nneeds]; the young, burdened with contention and gloom will come; they of the\r\nCovenant will bring you their gold and their sweet-smelling incense; all of\r\nthese will come together, publicly giving thanks and singing the praises and\r\nadoration of the Lord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

All those flocks who have been in darkness and gloom will gather\r\nand assemble around you; [at the same time] those who are strong and abound\r\nwith fruit will attend to your needs, ministering to every aspect of your life:\r\nwith joy and pleasure will they come to offer sacrifices (of praise), and I\r\nwill embellish, vaunt and beautify the family \u2014 MY family \u2014 whom I shall honor\r\nwith majesty.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>(Isaiah 60:5-7, RAC Translation\r\nand Amplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

If\r\never there was a picture of\u00a0<\/span>\u201cYou are the Light of the\r\nWorld\u201d,<\/span>\u00a0Isaiah\r\nprophesies it in no uncertain terms!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nis NOT a suggestion! This is NOT a kind of passive, \u201cYou really need to do\r\nthis.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Isaiah\u2019s\r\nprophecy begins with a command:\u00a0<\/span>Stand up! Accomplish!\r\nConfirm! Decree the light! Decree the revelation (of the Lord)!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Thus,\r\nJesus caps His instruction with,\u00a0<\/span>[As representatives of\r\nthe New Jerusalem] you are like that City which is elevated on a high hill or\r\nmountain and cannot be hidden from view. (You have been made and destined to be\r\nvisible to this world.)\u00a0<\/span>(Matthew 5:14, RAC Translation and Amplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nHe continues His command and mandate to us:<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let that light (My light) which is in you, therefore, radiate\r\nbrilliantly in front of all men and women\u00a0<\/span><\/u>so that the value of your relationship with and in Me \u2014\r\nmanifested in the works, the signs and wonders \u2014 is demonstrated. That, in\r\nturn, will cause Father in Heaven to receive glory and honor and praise!<\/span>(Matthew 5:16, RAC\r\nTranslation and Amplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\u2019re\r\nnot here for ourselves. Jesus didn\u2019t come as THE Light of the World, and then\r\nsay to us, \u201cYou are now that same light that is in me to the world\u201d \u2014 just\r\nbecause He wanted us to be cheered up or feel good.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Go\r\nback to Creation for a minute. Consider our original purpose:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Genesis\r\n1:26-28<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:\r\nand let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the\r\nair, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing\r\nthat creepeth<\/span> upon the e<\/span>arth.\u00a0So God created man in his\u00a0own<\/i>\u00a0image,\r\nin the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.\u00a0And\r\nGod blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and\r\nreplenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea,\r\nand over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth<\/span> upon the earth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nwere created to have dominion over the earth \u2014 literally over every living\r\nthing (other than mankind) upon the face of the earth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nwere created in the image and likeness of the Lord God Himself. Once again, I\r\nremind you that it was Jesus Who spoke the fateful words of Creation.\u00a0 It\r\nwas He who created us in the first place.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hebrews\r\n1:1-3<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake<\/span> in time past unto the fathers by the\u00a0<\/span>prophets,\u00a0Hath in these last days spoken unto us by\u00a0his<\/i>\u00a0Son,\u00a0whom\r\nhe hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds<\/u>; Who\r\nbeing the brightness of\u00a0his<\/i>\u00a0glory, and the express image of\r\nhis person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by\r\nhimself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Revelation\r\n4:10-11<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the\r\nthrone, and worship him that liveth<\/span> forever and ever,\r\nand cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to\r\nreceive glory and honour<\/span> and pow<\/span>er:\u00a0for thou hast created all things, and for thy\r\npleasure they are and were created<\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nwere created for Him!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nwere created to become His family.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nwere created to be the very extension of His persona, His character, His\r\nmakeup, His personality \u2014 His\u00a0<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nwere created to bring pleasure and delight to the Lord Jesus Christ. We\r\naccomplish that by permitting Him to work all that He needs to work in our\r\ncharacter, our nature, our makeup, our personalities such that we become\r\nsensitive to His very heartbeat. That heartbeat contains all the revelation\r\nnecessary to transform not only us, but the world around us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let\u2019s\r\nget down to brass tacks: the light of the world is the revelation of Jesus\r\nChrist.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nlight of the world is the revelation Who He is, what He did for us, and what\r\nHis destiny is for the human race \u2014 or more specifically, what His destiny is\r\nfor those who become One in and with Him!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nlight of the world is the revelation of Creation. It is the revelation of the\r\ndivine purpose manifested when Father, Son and Holy Spirit joined in total\r\nagreement and said,\u00a0<\/span>Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nlight of the world is the revelation of WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST, and WHO HE IS IN\r\nUS!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n
