Few subjects appear in the\r\nWord as frequently as that of Wisdom, and Understanding is not far behind.\u00a0 <\/span>Scriptures that talk about Wisdom appear 222\r\ntimes and Scriptures that deal with Understanding appear 156 times.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Word that comes most\r\noften to me when I think of Wisdom and Understanding appears in Proverbs 1.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Proverbs 1:2-7:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b>To\r\nknow wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\r\n\r\n

To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and\r\nequity; To give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and\r\ndiscretion. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

A wise man<\/i> will hear, and will increase learning; and a\r\nman of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb,\r\nand the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The fear of the LORD is<\/i> the beginning of knowledge: but<\/i>\r\nfools despise wisdom and instruction.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

We return to the original quote by Isaiah concerning\r\nthe Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Isaiah 11:2<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>\"And the spirit\r\nof the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding.\" <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This is an incredibly important part of Holy\r\nSpirit.\u00a0 <\/span>Without the wisdom and\r\nunderstanding of God, we are left almost like the blind being led by the blind.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/span>The apostle Paul,\r\nwriting to the Ephesians, says the following:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Ephesians 1:15-23<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Wherefore I also,\r\nafter I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,\r\nCease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may\r\ngive unto you the spirit of wisdom <\/span>(sophia: <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/i>practical, clear\r\nunderstanding; being wise, sagacious; the faculty for applying knowledge\r\njudiciously and carefully) <\/span>and revelation<\/span>(<\/span><\/i>apokalupsis:<\/span><\/i><\/b>to take off the\r\ncover, to disclose, the <\/i>manifestation of something hidden, causing\r\nsomething to appear that was previously invisible) <\/span>in\r\nthe knowledge <\/span>(epignosis:<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/i>recognition, full discernment,\r\nrevealed knowledge from above)<\/span><\/span>of\r\nhim: <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The eyes of your understanding <\/span>(dianoia:<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/i>the exercise of the\r\nintellect; the disposition of the mind; deep thought; imagination) <\/span>being\r\nenlightened <\/span>(photizo:<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/i>to shed rays, to illuminate, to\r\ncause to see [in the darkness]); <\/span>that ye may know <\/span>(eido:<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/i>to gaze with eyes wide open; to see, to perceive,\r\nto consider and be certain<\/span>) what is the hope of his\r\ncalling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And what is<\/i> the exceeding greatness of his power to\r\nus-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he\r\nwrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him<\/i> at his\r\nown right hand in the heavenly places<\/i>, <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion,\r\nand every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is\r\nto come: And hath put all things<\/i> under his feet, and gave him to be<\/i>\r\nthe head over all things<\/i> to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of\r\nhim that filleth all in all.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nis an expansion of the KJV text.\u00a0 <\/span>Allow\r\nme to share with you a re-translation and amplification from the Greek text:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

As a result, I also [and at the same time as the Lord Jesus\r\nChrist] when I heard of the integrity of your faith and constancy in the Lord\r\nJesus Christ, as well as the agape love you have demonstrated towards all those\r\nwho have set themselves apart to the Lord,<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I continually (without ceasing) give thanks for you, drawing\r\nattention to you in my daily worship (and intercession) <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is also the Father of\r\nGlory, may give and commit unto you the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation<\/u>\r\nin the full knowledge and discernment of Him;<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Having the ability to see with full brightness, so that you will\r\nknow and perceive the anticipation and expectation of His calling and\r\ninvitation, and as well, the extraordinary wealth and abundance of his honor,\r\nwealth and glory of his heirship and possession in those who have set\r\nthemselves apart unto Him;<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

As well as the superabundant magnitude of His dynamic and\r\nmiraculous force and power toward us who particularly believe (and act\r\naccordingly) in full proportion to the operation and exhibition of His ability,\r\nstrength and force<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Which He energized and produced in the Anointed One and His\r\nanointing when He raised Him from the dead and established His position at His\r\nown right hand in the Heavenlies, <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Far above every magistrate, every power every appointed\r\nauthority, every place of a king\u2019s rulership and dominion, and every onoma \u2013\r\nevery character, every personality, every essence of existence \u2013 that is\r\nmentioned or professed, not only in this time and age, but in every age and\r\ntime to come,<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And He has subordinated ALL under His feet and gave Him (the\r\nLord Jesus
\r\nChrist) to be THE Supreme Head over ALL to the Ekklesia,<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Which is His Body, the very essence and makeup of Who He is, the\r\ncompletion of Him Who completes and brings ALL to the finish line. <\/span>(RAC Translation\r\n& Amplification)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\ncome back to how the Hebrew text of Isaiah\u2019s prophecy reads:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Isaiah 11:1-2<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>And there shall come\r\nforth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:\r\nAnd the spirit of the LORD<\/span>(YHVH)<\/span><\/i>shall rest\r\nupon him, the spirit of wisdom <\/span>(<\/span><\/i>chokmah:<\/span><\/i><\/b>[parallels\r\nthe Greek <\/span>sophia<\/span><\/i><\/b>] <\/span>practical, judiciously applied knowledge,\r\nto cleverly apply and teach; to be wise in mind, word and act) <\/span>and\r\nunderstanding, <\/span>(biynah:<\/span><\/i><\/b>[parallels the Greek dianoia<\/span><\/i><\/b>] <\/span>to separate mentally, to distinguish; to be\r\ncunning, direct, eloquent; to prudently perceive)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Thus,\r\nthe Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding is referred to by Paul as the Spirit of\r\nWisdom and Revelation.\u00a0 <\/span>This part of the\r\nmakeup, the character, the personality, the very essence of the Lord (His onoma<\/span><\/i>)<\/span><\/b>\r\nis where and how we receive impartations \u2013 revelations AND anointings \u2013 from\r\nthe Holy Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nmay seem superfluous to say so, but each of the Seven Spirits of God is\r\nmanifested and revealed by and through the Holy Spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>The Holy Spirit was sent to us to reveal the\r\nvery character and makeup of the Lord Jesus Christ, to teach and instruct us,\r\nto transform, mold and conform us into His image and likeness, and prepare us\r\nas the Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nHoly Spirit IS \u2013 depending on the situation and the need at hand \u2013 the\r\nmanifestation, the character and personality of each of the Seven Spirits.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nthat which we need revealed to us requires wisdom and understanding (or\r\nrevelation) the Holy Spirit takes on the character of the Spirit of Wisdom and\r\nUnderstanding.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nwe have misinformation, a lack of understanding concerning some truth of God\u2019s\r\nWord, or perhaps some doctrine or teaching we\u2019ve come to believe which errs\r\nconcerning the Word, the Holy Spirit becomes the Spirit of Truth.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

If\r\nthe need at hand is for guidance concerning some decision or an answer from the\r\nLord as to what to do in some crisis situation, the Holy Spirit manifests as\r\nthe Spirit of Counsel and Might.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Consider\r\nhow the apostle Paul describes giftings and manifestations of the Holy Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I Corinthians 12:1-11<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Now concerning\r\nspiritual gifts<\/i>,<\/span>[<\/span>Note: the word \u201cgifts\u201d does not exist here in the Greek\r\ntext.\u00a0 <\/span>The term which appears in the\r\noriginal text is <\/span>pneumatikos<\/span><\/i><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>\u201cspirituals.\u201d ] <\/span><\/span>brethren, I would not have you\r\nignorant.\u00a0 <\/span>Ye know that ye were Gentiles,\r\ncarried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.\u00a0 <\/span>Wherefore I give you to understand, that no\r\nman speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that<\/i> no\r\nman can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.\u00a0 <\/span>Now there are *diversities of gifts,<\/span>[<\/span>charismata<\/span><\/i><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>grace-empowerments\r\nand demonstrations] <\/span>but the same Spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>And\r\nthere are <\/span>*[diairesis:<\/span><\/i><\/b>separate and distinct] <\/span>differences\r\nof administrations, <\/span>[diakonia: <\/span><\/i><\/b>service, attendance as a\r\nservant] <\/span>but the same Lord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

And there are *diversities of operations, <\/span>[energema<\/span><\/i>: <\/span><\/b>empowering,\r\nenergizing, or outward effect] <\/span>but it is the same God which\r\nworketh all in all<\/u>.\u00a0 <\/span>But the\r\nmanifestation<\/span>[phanerosis<\/span><\/i>: <\/span><\/b>exhibition\r\nor expression] <\/span>of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.\u00a0 <\/span>For to one is given by the Spirit <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

(1)<\/span><\/sup>the word of wisdom; to another <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Are\r\nyou seeing a clear illustration of the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, and\r\nhow it operates in Paul\u2019s description to the Corinthians?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nmanifestation or exhibition of the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding comes\r\nthrough the operation of \u201cthe word of wisdom\u201d or \u201cthe word of knowledge.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>At the same time, we may be seeing a\r\nmanifestation of the Spirit of Knowledge and the Fear of the Lord at work.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Consider\r\neach of thesecharismata<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u2013\r\ngrace-empowerments or demonstrations \u2013 within the framework of the Seven\r\nSpirits of God.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Might\r\nthe Spirit of Counsel and Might also be at work in \u201cthe working of miracles\u201d or\r\nperhaps \u201cfaith\u201d?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

How\r\nabout \u201cthe discerning of spirits\u201d?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

What\r\nabout \u201cdivers kinds of tongues\u201d and \u201cthe interpretation of tongues\u201d?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

No\r\nmatter how we see the Holy Spirit at work, we are seeing the Seven Spirits of\r\nGod in operation.\u00a0 <\/span>Paul makes it clear\r\nthat \u201cit is the same God which worketh all in all\u201d<\/span>\r\nand\/or \u201cthat one and selfsame Spirit.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Here\u2019s\r\na puzzle for you to think about.\u00a0 <\/span>We know\r\nthat God has a triune character and makeup: that He is at the same time Father,\r\nSon and Holy Spirit exhibited in three persons and personalities.\u00a0 <\/span>He is at the same time ONE, and yet He is\r\nTHREE.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

But\r\nhow about the concept that the Holy Spirit actually consists of Seven Spirits\r\nwhich make up the totality of the character and essence of who and what God is\r\n\u2013 in Father, Son and Holy Spirit?\u00a0 <\/span>That\r\nmeans that He is also SEVEN.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

These\r\nare mysteries of the Spirit realm, but they are easily understood when one\r\nlives and walks in the Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cIn\r\nthe Spirit\u201d is a phrase that recurs 28 times in the KJV, but in I Corinthians\r\n12:3, the Greek phrase \u201cen Pneumati Theou<\/i>\u201d\r\n<\/span><\/b>or \u201cen Pneumati Hagios<\/i>\u201d<\/span><\/b>\r\nappears where the KJV translates \u201cby the Spirit of God\u201d or \u201cby the Holy Ghost.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\neach case, it should be read \u201cin the Spirit of God\u201d or \u201cin the Holy\r\nSpirit.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>This makes clear the fact that\r\nwhether we function IN the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, or IN the Spirit\r\nof Judgment and Burning, or IN the Spirit of Grace and Supplications, in each\r\ninstance, we are operating in God.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

By\r\nthe same token, we are operating IN agape<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nSpirit of Wisdom and Understanding has one purpose and one function: to\r\nexhibit, to manifest, to demonstrate the Love of God \u2013 both to us, and in us \u2013\r\nso that the world around might see a facet of God\u2019s Love on display.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nSpirit manifests His operation in some pretty unique ways.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Most\r\nof you have heard me talk about my personal experiences in broadcast\r\nengineering, and how the Holy Spirit gave me revelation at different times and\r\nunder different circumstances of the source and cause of technical\r\nproblems.\u00a0 <\/span>Not only did I receive\r\nunderstanding of the technical issues in play, but I received wisdom on how to\r\ndeal with the problems and solve them.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Shortly\r\nafter I became Chief Engineer for FOX Television in Anchorage, I received a\r\nphone call at around 2:00 AM in the morning telling me that the station was off\r\nthe air.\u00a0 <\/span>Although I had seen the\r\ntransmitter before, I had never worked on it.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>The transmitter was basically a WW-II relic that had been upgraded and\r\nconverted to color operation.\u00a0 <\/span>There were\r\nno schematics to show the upgrades.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ntransmitter room was filled with smoke when I walked in, and of course, the\r\ntransmitter was down completely.\u00a0 <\/span>When I\r\nopened up the High Voltage section, the final output tube had melted down and\r\nmolten lead had poured down through the High Voltage cage.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nwas looking at tearing everything out and rebuilding that section of the\r\ntransmitter completely.\u00a0 <\/span>It took me about\r\ntwo-to-three hours to rebuild it and ensure that it was ready to go.\u00a0 <\/span>However, I still had no clue what caused the\r\nfailure in the first place.\u00a0 <\/span>The\r\ntransmitter was close to fifty years old.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>The electronics consisted of parts and pieces you would never see in any\r\nmodern transmitter.\u00a0 <\/span>How in the world was\r\nI going to get this thing operating again with no clue of where to start.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nonly answer was to receive wisdom and revelation from the Holy Spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>I laid hands on the transmitter, closed my\r\neyes, and siad , \u201cLord, I need you to show me what exactly caused this\r\nfailure.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Immediately, he gave me a\r\nvision of a specific component in the back of the transmitter.\u00a0 <\/span>I went around to the back of the transmitter\r\nand opened up the doors.\u00a0 <\/span>Staring me in\r\nthe face was exactly what Holy Spirit had given me in the vision.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\ntested the component in question, a fluid-filled capacitor, and sure enough, it\r\nwas shorted out.\u00a0 <\/span>When I went to the\r\nparts cabinet, there was nothing like it.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>So I constructed a new component our of several different values in\r\norder to match the value of the shorted one.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>After installing it, there was nothing to do but close everything up and\r\nfire the transmitter up.\u00a0 <\/span>Just like that,\r\nwe were back on the air.\u00a0 <\/span>After some\r\ntweaks to the operation, I notified Master Control that they could resume\r\nprogramming.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nwas a practical demonstration for me of seeing the Spirit of Wisdom and\r\nUnderstanding, or the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in operation.\u00a0 <\/span>That experience has paid great dividends in\r\nthe 35 years that have followed.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Wisdom\r\nand Understanding (or Wisdom and Revelation) were at work in me when I was\r\nworking on the Command Programmer for the Agena rocket that put John Glenn in\r\nspace.\u00a0 <\/span>I saw a small segment of a\r\ncomputer circuit on a drawing one day, and the Spirit gave me both revelation\r\nand understanding of how I could apply that circuit to create a musical\r\ninstrument computer which would generate the sounds of different instruments in\r\naccompaniment to my guitar playing.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Many\r\nyears ago when I was at Bethel Union Church in Duarte, California, one of the\r\nelders in that church received both understanding and revelation on how to deal\r\nwith traffic problems and congestion at intersections.\u00a0 <\/span>He sketched out the solution on paper and\r\ntook it to the Greater Los Angeles Planning Commission.\u00a0 <\/span>The plan was implemented and later adopted\r\nnation-wide.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nmay seem pretty simple now when we think of it, but the solution that this man\r\npresented (I\u2019ve forgotten his name) was to slightly widen the streets and\r\nincorporate a center turn-lane.\u00a0 <\/span>Maybe it\r\nwasn\u2019t a spectacular invention, but it solved a major issue, and it was\r\nsimplicity on display \u2013 the simplicity that is \u201cin Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nis a bit of a sidetrack in our discussion, but consider the significance of\r\nwhat takes place when we partake together at the Table of the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\u2019s\r\nthat same \u201csimplicity\u201d that is in Christ Jesus that we partake of every time we\r\nsit at the Table of the Lord and eat and drink of Him.\u00a0 <\/span>The bread is an example of the very substance\r\nof His body which is filled with the light and life of the Seven Spirits.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Each\r\ntime we partake of the Cup, we are drinking of the very life force that is in\r\nHim.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus shed His blood in order to\r\nbreak the curse that came upon the whole human race.\u00a0 <\/span>He did it so that we can look forward to and\r\nexperience the replacing of the blood in our veins with the light and life that\r\nfill His veins now \u2014 that same light that filled Adam and Eve prior to the\r\nfall.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Wisdom,\r\nUnderstanding and Revelation are a natural part of the character and makeup of\r\nthe Lord Jesus Christ, and that\u2019s what we have imparted to us each time we sit\r\nat His Table. Let\u2019s wrap up today\u2019s discussion with some quotes from Proverbs.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Proverbs 3:13-20:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b>Happy is<\/i> the\r\nman that<\/i> findeth wisdom, and the man that<\/i> getteth understanding.\r\nFor the merchandise of it is<\/i> better than the merchandise of silver, and\r\nthe gain thereof than fine gold. She is<\/i> more precious than rubies: and\r\nall the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of\r\ndays is<\/i> in her right hand; and<\/i> in her left hand riches and\r\nhonour. Her ways are<\/i> ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are<\/i>\r\npeace. She is<\/i> a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is\r\nevery one<\/i> that retaineth her. The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by\r\nunderstanding hath he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are\r\nbroken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Proverbs 4:1-9:<\/span><\/u><\/b>Hear,\r\nye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. For\r\nI give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. For I was my father\u2019s son,\r\ntender and only beloved<\/i> in the sight of my mother. He taught me also,\r\nand said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and\r\nlive. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it<\/i> not; neither decline from\r\nthe words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her,\r\nand she shall keep thee. Wisdom is<\/i> the principal thing; therefore<\/i>\r\nget wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she\r\nshall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.\r\nShe shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she\r\ndeliver to thee<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
