\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

For the third time, we take a look at the Seven Spirits of God,\r\nand the foundation for understanding them as inherent in the character and\r\nnature of God as revealed in the Word. Let me take a few minutes to break out\r\neach of the scriptures that express the Seven Spirits of God.\u00a0 <\/span>This may be a little repetitious, but you all\r\nknow the principle of 6 in the human frame.<\/span><\/b> <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Revelation 1:4<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>\"John\r\nto the seven Ekklesias which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace from Him\r\nwhich is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which\r\nare <\/span>(enopion) <\/span><\/i><\/b>in the place of and\r\noccupy (before, KJV) His throne.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Revelation 3:1<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>And\r\nunto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath\r\nthe seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast\r\na name that thou livest, and art dead.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Now\r\nthere\u2019s a revelation for you!\u00a0 <\/span>The Seven\r\nSpirits are revelatory and expose hidden ways and agendas in people.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Revelation 4:5<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>And out of the throne\r\nproceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were<\/i> seven\r\nlamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Revelation 5:6<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>And I beheld, and,\r\nlo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the\r\nelders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes,\r\nwhich are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nessence and totality of the character and makeup of the Seven Spirits of God are\r\nrevealed in the following:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I John 4:8<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>He that loveth not\r\nknoweth not God; for God is love<\/u>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I John 4:16<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>And we have known and\r\nbelieved the love that God hath to us. God is love<\/u>; and he that dwelleth\r\nin love dwelleth in God, and God in him.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ntotality, therefore, of these Seven Spirits of God is summed up in <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>It takes a revelation of the Lord for us to\r\nsee <\/span>agape<\/span><\/i><\/b> in these Seven Spirits.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nSpirit of Judgment & Burning <\/span><\/u><\/b>(Isaiah 4:4)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters\r\nof Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by\r\nthe Spirit of Judgment, and by the Spirit of Burning. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nSpirit of Wisdom & Understanding <\/span><\/u><\/b>(Isaiah 11:1-5)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a\r\nBranch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon\r\nhim, the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding,<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nSpirit of Counsel and Might\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b>(Isaiah 11:1-5)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nSpirit of Knowledge and the Fear of the Lord\u00a0\r\n<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b>(Isaiah\r\n11:1-5)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a\r\nBranch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon\r\nhim, \u2026\u2026.the Spirit of Knowledge and of the Fear of the Lord<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nSpirit of Grace & Supplications\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b>(Zechariah 12:10)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the\r\ninhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of Grace and of Supplications:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nSpirit of Truth <\/span><\/u><\/b>(John\r\n15:26)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from\r\nthe Father, even<\/i> the Spirit of \r\nTruth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nSpirit of Glory\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b>(I Peter 4:14)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye<\/i>;\r\nfor the Spirit of Glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil\r\nspoken of, but on your part he is glorified.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0The\r\nSpirit of Counsel and Might is one of the Seven Spirits of God with and to\r\nwhich we easily relate as part of the<\/span>onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b> of God.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nword \u201cCounsel\u201d is taken from the Hebrew<\/span> €e\u00f2tsa\u00f2h <\/span><\/i><\/b>and we quickly\r\nidentify this as a parallel to the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

€e\u00f2tsa\u00f2h<\/span><\/i><\/b> means: to provide wise and prudent advice; to demonstrate or\r\nshow plan and purpose<\/span><\/u>.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>This word comes from its Hebrew root <\/span>ya\u00f2€ats<\/span><\/i><\/b>:<\/span><\/i><\/b> to\r\nresolve [issues or problems]; to consult and devise [a way out of the problem];\r\nto guide<\/span><\/u>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ncompanion to \u201cCounsel\u201d is the Hebrew word <\/span>g<\/span><\/i><\/b>e<\/span><\/sup><\/i><\/b>bu\u00f2ra\u00f2h<\/span><\/i><\/b>,<\/span><\/b> which we have\r\ntranslated \u201cMight.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nHebrew word in many ways directly parallels the Greek <\/span>dunamis<\/span><\/i><\/b>,<\/span><\/b> and means:force (both literal and figurative), mastery, might,\r\npower and strength<\/span><\/u>.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Its root is the Hebrew<\/span> gibbor<\/span><\/i><\/b>, <\/span><\/b>and literally\r\nprovides us with a picture of \u201cthe ability to\r\nback up and enforce<\/u>\u201d [the aforementioned wise and prudent advice, once the\r\n\u2018advisee\u2019 takes the counsel].<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\r\nProverbs 4, Solomon paints a pretty graphic picture of how the Spirit of\r\nCounsel and Might works.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Proverbs 4:5-9<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Get wisdom, get\r\nunderstanding: forget it<\/i> not; neither decline from the words of my\r\nmouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall\r\nkeep thee. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Wisdom is<\/i> the principal thing; therefore<\/i> get\r\nwisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall\r\npromote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She\r\nshall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she\r\ndeliver to thee.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Then\r\nhe goes on to say,<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Proverbs 4:10-13<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Hear, O my son, and\r\nreceive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. I have taught thee\r\nin the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when\r\nthou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Take fast hold of instruction; let her<\/i>\r\nnot go: keep her; for she is<\/i> thy life.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Solomon\r\nthen caps off this picture of counsel with the following:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Proverbs 4:20-23<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>My son, attend to my\r\nwords; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes;\r\nkeep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are<\/i> life unto those that\r\nfind them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for\r\nout of it are<\/i> the issues of life.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nSolomon opens up his counsel with the Proverbs (which by the way is sometimes\r\nreferred to as The Book of Wisdom), he begins like this:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Proverbs 1:1-5<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>The proverbs of\r\nSolomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; to\r\nperceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom,\r\njustice, and judgment, and equity;<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

To give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and\r\ndiscretion. A wise man<\/i> will hear [counsel], and will increase learning;\r\nand a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nconnection between the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, and the Spirit of\r\nCounsel and Might \u2013 and the revelation of how they function in cooperation with\r\neach other is demonstrated in the last portion of Proverbs 1.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Proverbs 1:20-32<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Wisdom crieth\r\nwithout; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place\r\nof concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words,\r\nsaying<\/i>,\u00a0 <\/span>How long, ye simple ones,\r\nwill ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools\r\nhate knowledge?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto\r\nyou, I will make known my words unto you.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and\r\nno man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my\r\nreproof:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear\r\ncometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a\r\nwhirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

<\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall\r\nseek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and\r\ndid not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they\r\ndespised all my reproof. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be\r\nfilled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay\r\nthem, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto\r\nme shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from [the] fear of evil.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nSpirit of Counsel and Might reproves, rebukes, admonishes and corrects us \u2013 in\r\nlove!\u00a0 <\/span>His purpose in so doing (see Verse\r\n23) is so that He can <\/span>\u201cpour out My Spirit unto you,\u201d<\/span> and so that He can <\/span>\u201cmake\r\nknown [and bring revelation of] My Words unto you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Just\r\nas there are consequences for rejecting the Spirit of Judgment and Burning, so\r\nlikewise are there consequences that come from rejecting the Spirit of Counsel\r\nand Might.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cMight\u201d\r\nestablishes the baseline from which \u201cCounsel\u201d is provided.\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cMight\u201d knows the safety that is provided\r\nwith \u201cCounsel\u201d and establishes protective barriers for those who receive and\r\nwalk according to \u201cCounsel\u2019s\u201d word \u2013 and those protective barriers are designed\r\nto guard (with force and might) those who do.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Outside\r\nthose protective barriers along the path which \u201cCounsel\u201d advises and admonishes\r\nis a realm of terror and destruction, distress and anguish (see Verse 27).<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cMight\u201d\r\nis designed to protect those who walk according to \u201cCounsel,\u201d but \u201cMight\u201d will\r\nnot stretch forth a finger to help those who choose their own paths contrary to\r\nthe Word.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Solomon\r\nwraps up this first chapter of Proverbs with the prophetic promise and\r\nstatement that <\/span>\u201cWhoever listens and obeys me shall dwell safely and be quiet\r\nfrom the Fear of Evil.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\n\u201cFear of Evil\u201d is the granddaddy of all evil spirits.\u00a0 <\/span>It is the driving spirit of fear; and the\r\nfather of the Fear of Man and the Fear of Death.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nFear of Evil is the controlling force behind all religion and the deception in\r\nreligion.\u00a0 <\/span>The root of this fear is that\r\nit perceives God as hanging a \u201cSword of Damocles\u201d overhead just waiting for\r\nyour mistake so He can bring it down and destroy you.\u00a0 <\/span>Thus God is perceived as \u201cevil.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ncorollary is that one must keep certain laws or perform certain acts in order\r\nto please God.\u00a0 <\/span>Distortion of God\u2019s\r\ncommands follows, deception sets in, and God\u2019s Word is automatically disobeyed\r\nby the keeping of certain lesser commands to the setting aside or ignoring more\r\nimportant commands which are rooted in the principle of loving and honoring\r\nGod.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let\u2019s\r\nsee if we can look at a couple of examples of this.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Which\r\nis more important before the Lord:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

To feed and clothe\r\nthe poor, or to spend time waiting on God?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

To give gifts to\r\nthe Lord (sow seed, bring offerings, give to missions, etc.) or to reconcile\r\ndifferences between you and another brother (or sister) in the Lord?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

To keep and\r\nrecognize feast days and\/or honor the Sabbath, or to walk by faith?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

To\r\noffer praise and worship to the Lord, or to forgive intentional offenses\r\ntowards you by would-be brethren, or even those not of the household of faith?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Are\r\nyou getting the picture?\u00a0 <\/span>Fear causes us\r\nto obey the right commands in the wrong order.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Feeding the hungry or clothing the poor is a command from the Lord, but\r\nit comes AFTER our time with the Lord \u2013 and as He directs.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Pardon\r\nme while I take a slight detour here to point out something that many Christians\r\nare missing.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

All\r\nor most of us have heard the multitude of prophecies concerning President Trump\r\nand his being in office for another four years.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nBiden was inaugurated, Christians began to doubt and express their fears over\r\nwhat just took place.\u00a0 <\/span>They began to\r\nvoice those fears and essentially agree with what the Enemy was trying to foist\r\noff on them.\u00a0 <\/span>They ceased to agree with\r\nthe Word of the Lord.\u00a0 <\/span>All of a sudden\r\nthe prophets were all wrong.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Really?\u00a0 <\/span>These are prophets whose previous prophetic\r\nwords have hit the mark as accurately as you would expect.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

If\r\nwe are going to walk in the Spirit and live in the Spirit, our lives cannot be\r\nmanipulated or steered by the events that we see or hear about.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ve made this statement a zillion times\r\nthroughout the years.\u00a0 <\/span>Once again I quote\r\nsomething that Dwain McKenzie said spontaneously as he was preaching many years\r\nago.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cThings\r\nare not what they seem to be!\u00a0 <\/span>They\u2019re\r\nwhat God says they are!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ncounsel of the Lord in this midst of all that has happened has not varied or\r\naltered on iota.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let\u2019s\r\nnot forget that when God puts something in place and clearly anoints a leader\r\nfor that, He is going to fulfill His Word no matterwhat we see unfold\r\ncircumstantially.\u00a0 <\/span>God is not subject to\r\ncircumstances.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Now\r\nwe can get back on track.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

There\r\nis an order \u2013 a protocol \u2013 to our obedience to the Word and the Counsel of the\r\nLord.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jesus\r\nmade it clear that He wasn\u2019t interested \u2013 and neither was the Father \u2013 in\r\nreceiving gifts, offerings, etc. from us UNTIL we resolved issues of unforgiveness\r\nor offenses between us and fellow-believers.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

He\r\nwasn\u2019t saying \u201cGo spend your money or give your gifts somewhere else because I\r\nwon\u2019t receive them.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>He WAS saying, <\/span>\u201cSet\r\nthose gifts aside UNTIL you have resolved the matter between you and your brother.\u00a0 <\/span>THEN come and bring them to me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nfear that drives deception is a religious fear, and it is a fear that comes\r\nupon us when we reject the Spirit of Counsel and Might.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\npromise of the Lord to those who \u201chearken\u201d unto Him is that <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

They\r\nwill dwell safely.\u00a0 <\/span>They will live their\r\nlives in safety and protection (see also Psalm 91) from harm and danger, and\r\nfrom attacks of the Enemy \u2013 both verbal and weapons-based, and from disease,\r\npestilence, plague, AND from accidents.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Their\r\nlives will be quiet.\u00a0 <\/span>(See Psalm 105 and\r\nPsalm 91:3)\u00a0 <\/span>The phrase, \u201cnoisome\r\npestilence\u201d in Hebrew is the phrase,<\/span>havva\u00f2hdeber<\/span><\/i><\/b>,<\/span><\/b> which literally\r\ntranslates to \u201cnoisy disorder\u201d or \u201cwords, events or\r\nthings thrown into confusion and disarray in the midst of a rushing wind.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Isn\u2019t that what we\u2019ve been seeing and hearing of late?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nFear of Evil will have no power over them.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Hence, there will be no confusion, no deception, no disarray or disorder\r\nin their walk along the path directed by the Spirit of Counsel and Might.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

There\r\nis a whole different dimension of revelation to the way the Spirit of Counsel\r\nand Might operates.Wre\u2019ve spent the majority of this discussion dealing with\r\nthe Spirit of Counsel, and we could easily spend as much time on the Spirit of\r\nMight.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

As\r\nwe have earlier noted, the word \u201cMight\u201d as it occurs in Isaiah 11 in the Hebrew\r\ntext is the word, <\/span>g<\/span><\/i><\/b>e<\/span><\/sup><\/i><\/b>bu\u00f2ra\u00f2h<\/span><\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/b>As I looked at all\r\nof the Hebrew words translated \u201cmight,\u201d I realized that this word represents\r\nthe totality of the might of the Lord.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Consider the following:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Psalm 98:1-3<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>O\r\nsing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right\r\nhand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath\r\nhe openly showed in the sight of the heathen.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of\r\nIsrael: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\r\nis one very colorful expression of the might of the Lord on display.\u00a0 <\/span>Here\u2019s another one.\u00a0 <\/span>We go to Isaiah 52.\u00a0 <\/span>This is the predicate for the Lord taking\r\naction and putting His might on display.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Isaiah 52:5-6<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\r\n<\/span><\/span>Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people\r\nis taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the\r\nLORD; and my name continually every day is<\/i> blasphemed. Therefore my\r\npeople shall know my name: therefore they shall know<\/i> in that day that I am<\/i>\r\nhe that doth speak: behold, it is<\/i> I.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Now\r\nwe see His might in action!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Isaiah 52:9-10<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\r\n<\/span><\/span>Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of\r\nJerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.\r\nThe LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all\r\nthe ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nhave the following picture from Exodus 15 where God delivers the children of\r\nIsrael from the hand of Pharaoh and his armies as they cross the Red Sea and\r\nwatch God wipe out the Egyptians.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Exodus 15:6-8; 11-12<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Thy right hand, O\r\nLORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in\r\npieces the enemy. And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown\r\nthem that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which<\/i>\r\nconsumed them as stubble. And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were\r\ngathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and<\/i> the depths\r\nwere congealed in the heart of the sea. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Who is<\/i> like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is<\/i>\r\nlike thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in<\/i> praises, doing wonders? Thou\r\nstretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Those\r\nare just a few of the examples of the Spirit of Might.\u00a0 <\/span>We probably could have spent a whole lot more\r\ntime on this subject, but maybe you are seeing how Counsel and Might work\r\ntogether.\u00a0 <\/span>The Might of the Holy Spirit\r\nworks in direct conjunction with the Counsel of the Holy Spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>You can\u2019t separate them.\u00a0 <\/span>The Counsel of the Lord always provides the\r\nbasis for the Might of the Lord to be activated.\u00a0 <\/span>The two of them are part and parcel of the\r\noperation of the Holy Spirit available to each of us.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
