\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We left off last week with the event that happened when I\r\nwas in international banking and the theft that took place of all the\r\ncommission monies earned by the four of us as participants.\u00a0 <\/span>I was sharing with you that seeing the vision\r\nof what God had given me seemingly slip away with no prospect in sight of\r\nredeeming it.\u00a0 <\/span>I crashed mentally,\r\nemotionally and \u2013 for a short time \u2013 physically.<\/a><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

You\r\nall know that it wasn\u2019t permanently, but I couldn\u2019t have been any more\r\naffected.\u00a0 <\/span>I had poured myself into\r\nmaking this thing work.\u00a0 <\/span>International\r\nbanking is not a nine-to-five occupation!\u00a0\r\n<\/span>There were phone calls from all over the globe at all hours of the day\r\nand night.\u00a0 <\/span>If I got two or three hours\r\nof uninterrupted sleep, it was the exception \u2014 not the rule.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Discouragement\r\nset in for awhile.\u00a0 <\/span>After a couple of\r\nother disappointments, it was time for me to get out of banking.\u00a0 <\/span>My heart just wasn\u2019t in it anymore.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Six\r\nmonths passed.\u00a0 <\/span>One day, the Lord spoke\r\nto me as quietly and clearly as I\u2019d ever heard Him speak.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cYour vision was from me,\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/b>He said.\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cI don\u2019t need you to fund my\r\nvisions.\u00a0 <\/span>When the time comes, I will\r\nprovide the necessary funding with an abundance you cannot possibly match.\u201d<\/o:p><\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nthe vision came back to life.\u00a0 <\/span>It was a\r\nResurrection experience.\u00a0 <\/span>This time,\r\nthere was a peace attached to it.\u00a0 <\/span>I\r\nrealized how much struggle and stress I had put upon myself and the family\r\ntrying to make things work.\u00a0 <\/span>My father\r\nused to say to me, \u201cWhat God orders, He pays for!\u201d<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>Somehow, in the midst of everything, I\u2019d lost\r\nsight of that simple truth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Holy\r\nSpirit used this experience to teach me a side to death and Resurrection that\r\nI\u2019d never known before.\u00a0 <\/span>It was one of\r\nmany experiences and adventures in learning and being prepared for the ultimate\r\ntransition between mortality and immortality.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Being\r\nmortal is something we all understand and comprehend easily.\u00a0 <\/span>What we have not understood, and have not\r\nlived with any kind of understanding is the concept of rising from the dead.\u00a0 <\/span>There isn\u2019t a one of us who hasn\u2019t\r\nexperienced loss, destruction, betrayal of some kind or disappointment on the\r\nkind of scale I\u2019ve just described.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Some\r\nfolks wallow in self-pity.\u00a0 <\/span>Others just\r\ngive up on themselves or on life in general.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Still others think there is no hope because of what they\u2019ve gone through\r\nand they decide that death is the permanent solution.\u00a0 <\/span>They commit suicide.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Consider\r\nthe death that takes place when you are betrayed by those whom you love, trust,\r\nand have had a longtime friendship and\/or fellowship with.\u00a0 <\/span>What you do think Jesus experienced when\r\nJudas showed up in the Garden with the priests and soldiers?\u00a0 <\/span>He has gathered with the twelve at what is to\r\nbe His Last Supper with them.\u00a0 <\/span>He knows\r\nthat Satan has entered into Judas, that Judas has been determined that Jesus is\r\nto force Jesus to overthrow the Roman government.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Judas\r\nhas been with Jesus for these past years and seen the incredible miracles that\r\nhave taken place.\u00a0 <\/span>If Judas can put Jesus\r\nin a compromising place, He will be forced to perform some kind of miracle that\r\nwill immediately put Him in earthly governmental rule and overthrow the Roman\r\nhierarchy.\u00a0 <\/span>He refuses to accept Jesus\u2019\r\nstatement that \u201c<\/span>My Kingdom is not of this world<\/span>.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jesus\r\nhas been loving and compassionate towards Judas during their time\r\ntogether.\u00a0 <\/span>Even knowing in advance by the\r\nSpirit that Judas would betray Him at the last moment it still had to be\r\nenormously difficult to see him show up in the Garden, walk up to Him as a\r\nclose and intimate friend and greet Him with the greeting of close friends and\r\nsay, <\/span>Hail, Master<\/span>!\u00a0 <\/span>It was just\r\nwords, but it was also a dagger that cut with a wound that was worse than that\r\nof a sword.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ll talk more about this in\r\na minute.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jesus\r\nis about to experience a trial, persecution and torture on a horrifying scale,\r\nand He knows it!\u00a0 <\/span>Nevertheless, He\r\nremains resolute.\u00a0 <\/span>He is about to suffer\r\na torturous death on behalf of the human race in order to reverse the curse of\r\ndeath once and for all for all those who will accept His sacrifice.\u00a0 <\/span>He IS going to rise again from the dead, and\r\nonce and for all time, reverse the necessity of death.\u00a0 <\/span>He is about to make Resurrection life\r\navailable on every level.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Take\r\na look, now, at something that Paul writes to the Philippians.\u00a0 <\/span>We\u2019ve quoted this before, but we need to\r\nconsider this statement again from a little different perspective.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Philippians 3:10-14<\/span><\/u><\/b>: <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>That\r\nI may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his\r\nsufferings, being made conformable unto his death; <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>If by any means I\r\nmight attain unto the resurrection of the dead.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Paul,\r\ndespite all that he had gone through and experienced, still felt that he had\r\nnot come to the place where he fully comprehended and walked in Resurrection\r\nlife.\u00a0 <\/span>You understand, too, don\u2019t you,\r\nthat he had been stoned to death on several occasions, taken up and brought\r\nback from the dead.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Not as though I had already attained, either were already\r\nperfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am\r\napprehended of Christ Jesus.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Paul\r\ncontinues to realize that there is a dimension of understanding he has yet to\r\ncome to in the realm of Resurrection.\u00a0 <\/span>He\r\nrealizes that He was raised from the dead by the Lord Jesus Christ, but he\r\nwants that to be a continual life-experience.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this<\/i>\r\none thing I do<\/i>, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching\r\nforth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize\r\nof the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

No\r\nstatement that Paul makes ANYWHERE in all of his letters better describes the\r\npush towards the goal of achieving \u201cthe high calling of God.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>What is that \u201chigh calling?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

To\r\nbe ONE with the Lord Jesus Christ!\u00a0 <\/span>To\r\nlive the kind of Resurrection life that Jesus paid for on our behalf.\u00a0 <\/span>To become Jesus\u2019 Counterpart and Other Self.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nwe reach that \u201chigh calling,\u201d we will be able to fully relate to the blessings\r\nthat come with being raised from the death associated with betrayal, defamation\r\nof character, malicious harassment, efforts to destroy your reputation, etc.,\r\netc., etc.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Here\u2019s\r\nhow Jesus put it in his \u201cSermon on the Mount.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cBlessed and highly favored by the King [of Kings] are those who\r\nare harassed, molested, mistreated, or pursued after with hostile intent simply\r\nbecause they have been justified [by faith (in Jesus Christ and His anointing);\r\nroyalty, and Kingdom rule shall be theirs.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Blessed and highly favored by the King [of Kings] whenever men\r\nor women will seek to defame you, to rail at you or taunt you, harassing and\r\npursuing you with malice, saying in public or writing false and hurtful\r\naccusations about you to others, seeking to ruin your reputation because of\r\nyour relationship with me [on account of Who I AM \u2014 and who you are in me.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Rejoice \u2014 exult, sing, dance, enjoy yourself \u2014 because each time\r\nyou are mistreated for my sake, your reward and place at the Seat of Order in\r\nthings eternal is enhanced and magnified.\u00a0\r\n<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Consider yourself in the same company of the prophets before you\r\nwho likewise were harassed, molested, mistreated, <\/b>defamed, and falsely\r\naccused because of My Word in and through them.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(Matthew 5:10-12, RAC Translation and\r\nAmplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Do\r\nyou understand the significance of what Jesus is saying?\u00a0 <\/span>He is literally talking about the mental,\r\nemotional and psychological death that comes from persecution, molestation,\r\nbetrayal, hurtful accusations, etc., etc., and the blessings of resurrection\r\nthat come from that kind of treatment.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Have\r\nyou ever been betrayed by someone you loved, revered and trusted with your\r\nlife?\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019d bet that there are very few\r\nwho haven\u2019t been.\u00a0 <\/span>There\u2019s nothing\r\nworse.\u00a0 <\/span>It is like someone sticking a\r\ndagger through your heart.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nis a form of death that many folks never recover from.\u00a0 <\/span>Depending on the degree of betrayal, some\r\nfolks even commit suicide.\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus makes\r\nit clear, however, that resurrection life applies to this form of death just\r\nlike it does to physical death.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nis simply one facet of walking and living a life of resurrection.\u00a0 <\/span>Resurrection, after all, is nothing more than\r\nexercising supremacy over the spirit of death.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>It rules over the Fear of Death, which is one of the three major\r\nfamilies of fear.\u00a0 <\/span>As we have talked in\r\nthe past, this spirit has so many facets, so many other familiar spirits, that\r\nfolks who are afflicted with it simply miss seeing when this spirit is\r\nafflicting and tormenting them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

ALL\r\nsickness, ALL disease, ALL infirmity, ALL physical weakness comes from, and is\r\nauthored by, the spirit of The Fear of Death.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>That may seem like an exaggeration and a stretch to make that statement,\r\nbut consider the fact that we were never designed to die in the first\r\nplace.\u00a0 <\/span>We were designed to live\r\neternally.\u00a0 <\/span>Death was not part of our\r\noriginal DNA.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Because\r\nof the way in which we were created \u2014 the fact that we were created in the\r\nimage and likeness of God (who always was, and always will be), our soul, our\r\nspirit, our entire psyche resists the concept of death.\u00a0 <\/span>It violates everything in our innermost being.\u00a0 <\/span>We were never designed to die and the very\r\nfact that sickness, disease, infirmity, weakness, etc., come on us causes a\r\nreaction in the core of our existence.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>We become reactionaries instead of responding to the overcoming of\r\nresurrection life that Jesus paid for in our redemption.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Salvation\r\nis not just redemption from, forgiveness of, and eradication of sin; it is\r\ndeliverance from the sentence of death and the curse that came upon us when\r\nAdam and Eve ate of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.\u00a0 <\/span>Think about it for a minute!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\ndiscussed this many times over the years but partaking of the fruit of the Tree\r\nof the Knowledge of Good and Evil was the usurpation of God\u2019s place in our\r\nlives as the author and giver of all necessary knowledge and wisdom.\u00a0 <\/span>There was never any need for us to know\r\nevil.\u00a0 <\/span>Once that knowledge entered the\r\nhuman genome, it spawned the Fear of Evil, the Fear of Man and the Fear of\r\nDeath.\u00a0 <\/span>Those fears became woven into the\r\nvery makeup of the human anatomy.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jesus\u2019\r\ndeath on the Cross and resurrection effectively canceled out the curse that\r\ncame with partaking of that fruit.\u00a0 <\/span>He\r\nmade resurrection from death and the fear of death a practical reality.\u00a0 <\/span>It was essential that this happen.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\ngo back to what Paul wrote in his letter to the Corinthians when he said,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cWhat has been decaying and subject to decay must, of necessity,\r\ncease for all time; where we have once been mortals and subject to death,\r\ndisease, sickness and weakness now changes so that we become immortals\r\n(restored to that image and likeness we were first created for).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Therefore, when this perishable existence now transforms into an\r\nunending, immortal existence, then we will see brought to pass the old saying\r\nthat was written, \u201cDeath (and dying) have been engulfed and consumed by\r\nconquest and victory \u2014 totally vanquished.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(I\r\nCorinthians 15:55-56, RAC Translation & Amplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\u2019ve\r\nsaid it before and I will say it again.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>We were initially created for immortality.\u00a0 <\/span>It was lost with the curse.\u00a0 <\/span>Because we were created for an eternity of fellowship\r\nwith the Lord Jesus Christ, it was absolutely essential that we be restored to\r\nthat place.\u00a0 <\/span>In order, however, to make\r\nthat a practical reality, and because Jesus is coming for an overcoming Bride,\r\nit is critical for God\u2019s people to overcome death in every respect.\u00a0 <\/span>We MUST walk and live a resurrection life in\r\nwhich none of the powers of death, nor the fear of death, nor the symptomatic\r\nresults of that fear affect any part of our daily living.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\u2019s\r\na tall order when you consider how much the spirit of the Fear of Death has\r\nwoven itself into our daily existence and how much it affects our\r\nmindsets.\u00a0 <\/span>It is both conscious and\r\nsubconscious.\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s go back to something\r\nthat John wrote in his third general letter to the Body of Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

My dearly beloved brothers and sisters, my prayer and desire\r\nbefore God is that you will succeed in reaching complete prosperity in all your\r\naffairs \u2014 both business and personal \u2014 and to walk in uncorrupted health, sound\r\nin body and spirit \u2014 in direct proportion to the way your soul, your mind, and\r\nyour thoughts succeed (in thinking as Jesus thinks).\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>(III John, vs 2, RAC Translation &\r\nAmplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

You\r\nsee it, don\u2019t you?\u00a0 <\/span>Our entire mindset,\r\nthe way we think \u2014 both consciously and subconsciously \u2014 directly governs our ability\r\nto overcome every obstacle before us.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>That includes all of the residual aspects of the Fear of Death that have\r\nruled our daily existence.\u00a0 <\/span>There is a\r\nwhole lot more to it than that, but since we are talking about Resurrection\r\nfrom Death, this is what I\u2019m focusing on when I say this.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Resurrection\r\nfrom Death is an overcoming process.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Yes, we\u2019ve been resurrected from the curse.\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, we\u2019ve been resurrected in Jesus Christ\r\nwhen we\u2019ve come out of the waters of baptism.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>But that\u2019s just the empowerment to begin a life of resurrection.\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s just the beginning of the transition\r\nfrom mortality to immortality.\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s\r\njust the beginning of our preparation so that when Jesus appears, we will be\r\nlike Him!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n
