Many of you know that I had to visit the dentist to have seven\r\nteeth extracted.\u00a0 <\/span>A few weeks ago, my\r\nnormal dentist removed two teeth, but discovered that the infection under the\r\nteeth was so severe that she had to spend a couple hours with major removal of\r\ncysts that were growing into the bone.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The consequence of that was a decision to send me to an oral\r\nsurgeon in Dripping Springs, Texas who did the major removal.\u00a0 <\/span>Della immediately drove me to Marble Falls\r\nwhere my normal dentist did platelet treatment, ozone therapy and a vitamin C\r\ndrip to speed the healing process.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

One of the oft-used phrases I\u2019ve heard from both a dentist and a\r\nmedical doctor in the past few weeks is, \u201cYour health begins in your\r\nmouth.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>I got to thinking about that and\r\nrealized that there\u2019s more truth in that statement than meets the eye.\u00a0 <\/span>Consider something that Jesus said when\r\ntalking to the Pharisees.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Matthew 12:34a-35, 37:<\/span><\/u><\/b>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>For out of the\r\nabundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good\r\nthings: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

For by thy words, thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou\r\nshalt be condemned.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nlaw applies to our health and welfare, and it applies to our spiritual\r\nwell-being.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I Thessalonians 5:9-11<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/i><\/span><\/b>For God hath not\r\nappointed us to wrath<\/span> <\/span>(orge<\/span>:<\/span><\/i><\/b> <\/span><\/b>anger, indignation, vengeance<\/span><\/i><\/b>),<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>but to obtain\r\nsalvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or\r\nsleep, we should live together with him.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as\r\nalso ye do.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

From the very beginning of Jesus\u2019 ministry,\r\nHe made it clear that He came to bring life \u2014 not death.\u00a0 <\/span>Death, after all, had contaminated human DNA\r\nbecause of Adam\u2019s disobedience, and every single person (with the exceptions of\r\nEnoch and Elijah) had experienced the unnatural \u2014 the sub-natural \u2014 curse of\r\ndeath.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Incorporated into the creation of the human\r\nrace through Adam and Eve was eternal life.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>We were never created to die: we were created in the likeness and image\r\nof God, imbued with His attributes.\u00a0 <\/span>One\r\nof those most basic attributes was <\/span>zoe<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>life \u2014 eternal\r\nexistence!\u00a0 <\/span>To emphasize that fact, God\r\nplaced within the Garden of Eden the Tree of Life.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

His\r\nwarning to Adam and Eve was to NOT eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and\r\nEvil, <\/span>\u201cfor in the day that thou eatest<\/span>\r\nthereof thou shalt<\/span> surely die.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Eternal\r\nlife was what we were created for \u2014 not some transitory period of life on\r\nearth, punctuated with\u00a0 <\/span>sickness,\r\ninfirmity, weakness, disease and \u2014finally \u2014 dying!<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The warning given to Adam and Eve was meant\r\nto preclude any possibility of death entering the human genome.\u00a0 <\/span>When they did eat, they brought upon\r\nthemselves and their seed after them the curse of death.\u00a0 <\/span>With death, of course, came separation from\r\nGod, separation from eternity, separation from fellowship, and separation from\r\nthe blessing which God had declared and decreed at their creation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Death brought a certain judgment. With that\r\njudgment came the processes of death.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Every single disease known to man begins with the death of one of more\r\ncells in the human body.\u00a0 <\/span>The judgment of\r\ndeath is sickness, disease and infirmity.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>The judgment of death is the result of choosing some answer to one of\r\nlife\u2019s problems, or the choosing of some avenue of provision outside of God\u2019s\r\nWord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The judgment of death is the byproduct of\r\nmaking ourselves equal to, or superior to God.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>The judgment of death, however, is not the end of the matter.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The apostle Paul put it like this \u2014 and\r\nthis is our covenant of resurrection.\u00a0 <\/span>We\r\nused this verse last week.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Even though death was and has been appointed unto men and women\r\none time, and at the same time to face the Judgment Seat of Christ, for that\r\nreason Jesus offered Himself up on the Cross to die once and for all and take\r\non Himself, the sins of many; <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

And to all those who look for His return will He appear again\r\n[on their behalf] without the accompanying sin: (their deliverance from the\r\npenalties of sin will have been accomplished; the wholeness, health and\r\nprosperity that came at Creation will have been restored to them).<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>(Hebrews 9:27-28, RAC Translation and\r\nAmplification)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Some\r\nof you will remember my sharing of being transported in the Spirit to the\r\ncrucifixion and seeing all the sins of the world, past, present and future\r\ngathered together like one huge cloud \u2014\u00a0\r\n<\/span>a hurricane or gigantic tornado, if you will \u2014 and centered upon the\r\nCross as Jesus took those sins upon Himself.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\npicture at the right scarcely does justice to what I saw, but it gives you an\r\nidea of what took place.\u00a0 <\/span>Sin has that\r\nsame effect upon the world today.\u00a0 <\/span>It\r\nbrings catastrophe, destruction, disease and death.\u00a0 <\/span>Once Adam disobeyed God\u2019s Word and ate of the\r\nTree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he had sinned.\u00a0 <\/span>In so doing the genesis of death\r\ncommenced.\u00a0 <\/span>Thus Paul makes the point\r\nthat Jesus fulfilled the necessity for our death, keeping our appointment for\r\nus.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The appointment of death for the human race\r\nbecame ingrained into the very substance and nature of our existence with\r\nAdam\u2019s sin.\u00a0 <\/span>Death was the destiny of\r\nevery living being on the planet.\u00a0 <\/span>And,\r\nwith death came every disease, sickness and infirmity.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Under the Law, provision was made for\r\nhealing from sickness and disease.\u00a0 <\/span>Under\r\nthe Law, atonement* for sin was taken care of by the shedding of the blood of\r\nlambs, bulls and goats and offering up burnt offerings.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Under the Law, atonement for sin existed,\r\nbut not remission** or erasure.\u00a0 <\/span>The\r\nblood of animals was simply a prophetic forerunner of One whose death would\r\nforever erase the sins and finish off the death sentence for all who accepted\r\nHis death.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

[*The word, Atonement, is a translation of\r\nthe Hebrew word: <\/span>kaphar<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>This word means: to\r\ncover over, to pacify, to extend mercy, to reconcile or placate<\/u>.\u00a0 <\/span>It differs radically from the picture of\r\nremission as you will see in the following paragraph.]<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

[**Remission\r\nis a translation from the Greek word: aphesis<\/span>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>This word is taken from its root: aphiemi<\/span>; <\/b>and it means to send away, to\r\nerase, to wipe out so completely as to forget it ever existed<\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

A\r\ncorollary Scripture is found in Psalm 103:12: <\/u><\/b><\/span>\u201cAs\r\nfar as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions\r\nfrom us.\u201d]<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

As the Word so clearly demonstrates, Jesus\r\ndidn\u2019t just cover over our sin, He eradicated it to such a degree that it was\r\nburied in the sea, away from even the memory of the Father.\u00a0 <\/span>(See Micah 7:19)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Three times in the Word (see Acts3:19) we\r\nare told that our sins were blotted out.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>The Greek word occurring here is <\/span>exaleipho<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>It means to wipe out, to obliterate from\r\nmemory<\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That means that Jesus kept our appointment\r\nwith death.\u00a0 <\/span>He removed the necessity of\r\nour keeping the appointment and in the process eliminated:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

(1)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>the\r\ncurse of death,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

(2)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>the\r\ndisease, sickness and infirmity that comes with it,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

(3)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>and\r\nthe curse of having to work for a living.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We describe this last one as\r\n\u201cpoverty.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>You\u2019ll recall what God told\r\nAdam:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Genesis 3:17-19<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/i><\/span><\/b>And unto Adam he said,\r\nBecause thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the\r\ntree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is\r\nthe ground for thy sake<\/u>; in [painful toil and] sorrow shalt thou eat of it\r\nall the days of thy life;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou\r\nshalt eat the herb of the field; <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>In the sweat of thy face\r\nshalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground<\/span><\/u>; for\r\nout of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

In simple terms, we define the word,\r\n\"Blessing,\" as an empowerment to prosper.\u00a0 <\/span>The word, \"curse,\" is the inverse\r\nof the blessing.\u00a0 <\/span>It literally means the\r\nremoval of the empowerment we have in God to prosper, to bless and to be\r\nblessed.\u00a0 <\/span>Minus the empowerment to\r\nprosper, we are left to our own devices.\u00a0\r\n<\/span>A curse is nothing more and nothing less than the removal of any\r\nempowerment to prosper.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\u2019s the curse that Jesus eradicated by\r\nkeeping our appointment with death.\u00a0 <\/span>The\r\napostle Paul, being a lawyer by training and schooled in the Law of Moses,\r\ndescribed our deliverance from the curse in legal and judicial terms:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Romans 8:1-2<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/i><\/span><\/b>There is therefore now no\r\ncondemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh,\r\nbut after the Spirit.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/sup><\/p>\r\n\r\n

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made\r\nme free from the law of sin and death<\/u>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Are\r\nyou seeing it?\u00a0 <\/span>Are you beginning to\r\ngrasp just how powerful Jesus\u2019 act was on our behalf?\u00a0 <\/span>Take another look at what Paul wrote in his\r\nepistle to the Hebrews:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hebrews 9:27-28<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/i><\/span><\/b>And as it is appointed unto\r\nmen once<\/span> (<\/b><\/span>hapax: <\/span><\/b>one\r\ntime<\/span><\/i><\/b>) <\/span><\/b>to die, but after this the judgment<\/span> (<\/b><\/span>krisis<\/a>: <\/span><\/b>tribunal of justice \u2014 either for or\r\nagainst<\/span><\/i><\/b>)<\/span><\/b>:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

So Christ was once<\/span> <\/span>(hapax:\r\n<\/span><\/b>once and for all time<\/span><\/i><\/b>)\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>offered to bear the sins of\r\nmany; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without\r\nsin unto salvation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

We\r\nall have had an appointment with death, but Jesus kept the appointment on our\r\nbehalf.\u00a0 <\/span>So long as we accept Jesus\u2019\r\ndeath and resurrection; so long as we acknowledge Him for who and what He is,\r\nand so long as we walk according to His Spirit, a different judgment is\r\nrendered on our behalf.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\njudgment after death for those who refuse and rebel against the Lordship of\r\nJesus Christ is destruction and eternal damnation.\u00a0 <\/span>So long as people refuse the Lordship of\r\nChrist in their lives, the judgment of death continues in their mortal beings,\r\nbringing with that judgment, disease, sickness, infirmity, disease, weakness,\r\ncontinual need and poverty.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

On\r\nthe other hand, the judgment that follows for us who accept and\u00a0 <\/span>acknowledge Jesus\u2019 death in our place and His\r\nsubsequent resurrection, confessing Him with their mouths and walking according\r\nto His Spirit is eternal life, health, wholeness, strength, energy, vitality,\r\nblessing and a life of abundance.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\njudgment that follows those who have made Jesus Christ their Lord is that if\r\nthey die physical deaths they will be resurrected by the Lord.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Paul\r\naddressed this issue when writing to the Ekklesia in Thessalonica.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I Thessalonians 4:13-18<\/span><\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span><\/i><\/span><\/b>But I would not have you to\r\nbe ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not,\r\neven as others which have no hope. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>For if we believe that\r\nJesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God\r\nbring with him.<\/o:p><\/u><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which\r\nare alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which\r\nare asleep.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,\r\nwith the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in\r\nChrist shall rise first<\/u>: <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>Then we which are alive and\r\nremain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in\r\nthe air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/sup>Wherefore comfort one another\r\nwith these words.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Most\r\nof you have heard me share my own personal experience with the Lord that took\r\nplace when I was seven years of age.\u00a0 <\/span>I\r\nawoke one morning to see Jesus standing at the foot of my bed.\u00a0 <\/span>He began to unfold for me many things\r\nincluding His plan and purpose for my life.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

One\r\nof the things that He said was that I would be alive and see His return.\u00a0 <\/span>He told me that I would \u201cnot see death as men\r\nknow death.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>There has always been the\r\nexpectation in me from that point that I would simply walk into the\r\nthousand-year reign with the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nhave a story to share with you, but it will wait until next week.\u00a0 <\/span>See you then.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Many of you know that I had to visit the dentist to have seven teeth extracted.
